Au Doodle (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

Some background info: in my au Gus is the first person that William properly befriends. This happens one day when Gus is visiting with Luz and it begins to rain. Luz is concerned for William's safety inside his shoddily made treehouse but knows that he would refuse her help. Luz essentially begs Gus to go out and get William (of course she gives Gus a protective cloak). Gus climbs into the treehouse much to William's horror as he isn't very well acquainted with Gus he just knows that he's another one of Luz's witch friends. Miraculously however, Gus does convince William to take cover inside the owl house and he partially wraps Will in the cloak to protect him from the boiling rain while they head to the owl house. Both kids ended up getting a little bit burned by the rain and were patched up by Luz and Eda (Luz patched Gus and Eda patched William as Will is far too scared of Eda to reject anything she does). After this Gus manages to hold a conversation with William and shows interest in his strange dialect as he didn't know much about human history. William, who never expected a witch to go out of their way to lead a human to safety, was willing to tell Gus what he knew as long as Gus told him more about the boiling isles.

Finally managed to finish this sketch fanart of lil Philip Wittebane and William Wittebane (outfit design by @brother-bon3s )

The new design for William was SO cute, especially compared to that eyesore of an outfit he usually has, that I had to draw him!

Also, I have seen some interpretations of William being an additional youngest Wittebane, but I actually see him much more like a middle child, I feel like it would fit their dynamic better and he just has annoying middle child energy to me (in hypothetical canon tho I’d see him more as a cousin tho or some more or less distant relative or step sibling). I also made sure he had the same eye color of Pip but the same hair color of Caleb, as him sharing those similarities with both would be quite cute in my opinion.

ANYWAY hope you enjoy this, I found the pose on Pinterest and thought it would fit them SO well!

Him having positive interactions with my lil pip is lowkey the only thing that redeems him to my eyes, I cannot deny they look quite cute!

Got some life stuff going on so I don’t have much energy to do anything except silly Pip stuff :/

I don’t draw season 1 Pip enough ngl, I mostly draw season two and three stuff because of the drama but I do really like drawing this version of Pip because of his resting bitch face and that awkward angsty teen energy he radiates is my favourite thing lmao

(Ignore plz how his face shape changes twice, I forgot that his face wasn’t so sharp when he was younger and drew the sign one with the weird jaw and didn’t realise until now T-T)

I drew a Chibi tales Pip and he looks like an angry chihuahua 😔 he’s about to bite someone’s ankles

The third pic is so goofy because I can just imagine Pip finding out that Luz and Amity are hanging out at a restaurant or something and he’s checking up on Luz to make sure she’s not being taken hostage or something but Luz has no idea that he thinks that she might be in a hostage situation so she just gets Pip holding up that sign without any context and thinks he’s joking, he’s being completely serious

I have nothing to say about this other than I saw this shirt concept on tumblr and was like yeah he would wear that ironically.

It’s slightly terrifying seeing Pip without looking perpetually mad but he’s being silly here soooo

it’s funnier because Belos canonically gets hit by a car in the show so maybe it’s a like creator, like grimwalker thing and it’s inevitable for it to happen to Pip at one point which makes this shirt unironic.

The Owl House + Lumity + Hunger Games AU??? Idk LMAO I’m still on a THG kick after rereading/watching the whole trilogy!!

Some thoughts on the AU under the cut

Okay so this is a stupid idea but I’m just having fun with it. Obviously it won’t follow the hunger games directly because the situation and characters are different, but some stuff kinda connects!!

Katniss and Peeta= Luz and Amity

Prim & Ms Everdeen & buttercup = Vee and Camilla and King

The Mellarks = Odalia (fitting!), Alador, and Ed + Em (fits since both Peet and Ami have two older siblings). I don’t think they’d run a bakery though, but something abomination related that fits here.

Haymitch = Eda

Madge = Gus??

Gale = I’m afraid there’s no Gale equivalent here because it doesn’t make sense in this AU, and I’m not a fan of love triangles anyway.

Effie = Hooty. This is funny to me. the peak of my fanart career

Cinna and Portia = Darius and Eberwolf

Senecca Crane = Kiki

Snow = Belos obviously

Ceasar = Adrian

Plutarch = Raine

Finnick = Hunter

Anyways I kept the human and witch ears because I thought that could be an interesting tie with the Merchants vs Seam. And Amity’s hair is fully green in the interview scene because she got her grown roots dyed during the makeover! In this scenario I imagine Odalia would make her children dye funky hair colours in hopes of getting into the ‘capitol’ equivalent, which I guess is the Emperors Coven.

Also instead of girl on fire, Luz would have some ‘light’ related title.

So how did William's first meeting with Eda go?

It could’ve gone better

After being found in the woods by Luz, William was woken up from a 400 year long slumber. Unfortunately for the kid, he had become violently ill and disoriented, unable to properly communicate or understand what was happening. Luz was horrified by this and concerned that someone had just poisoned some kid and left them to die in the middle of no where, so, being the kind hearted person she is she carried the boy back to the owl house in hopes Eda could help nurse the child back to health. Thankfully she was able to and once the kid was finally stable enough to hold a conversation they quickly realized he was human and didn’t exactly belong in this century..

Pip: “this is taking forever! are you almost done using me as a cheat sheet?”

Luz: “I just need to get them just right”

Pip: “that’s what you said two hours ago >:|”

Pip only agreed to this because he’s got no idea what the deal with the glyphs is or even what they do until Luz had discovered a few and some combos already and was showing them to him/explaining it.

When Luz demonstrated the light glyph, Pip like “huh weird I don’t have that symbol on my arm” and Luz was like “ARM??” And that’s how she found out.

Luz has several questions about it because it’s obvious that they’ve been carved in and is expecting some really cool and exciting explanation because of how mysterious Pip is to her but Pip is just like “I have literally no idea? I think it’s a family thing-” which slips out without Pip meaning to.

That confuses and intrigues Luz even more than any idea she had imagined originally because it’s the first time Pip has ever mentioned even having a family to her and she just assumed that he was some Oliver Twist like orphan from the streets that Eda took in to illegally exploit child labour laws on lmao

So yeah Luz eventually goes full crazy conspiracy mode trying to figure it out and it freaks Pip out enough for him to be a bit more clear on his life to her so Luz doesn’t lose her mind.

But Pip is still extremely vague because he doesn’t trust Luz enough to not expose him or treat him differently after finding out he’s the emperor’s son. So Luz only really learns that Pip ran away from home at young age and his bio family has religious ties to the Titan so it might be a secretive religious thing that Pip was too young to learn about.

She’s slightly freaked out by just the implications of a practice where they literally carve glyphs into the arms of young kids for religious purposes and decides to not ask Pip anymore details about his life before Eda.

Then the au equivalent of hollow mind happens at some point and manages to make what Luz originally thought was the origin of Pip’s glyph’ed up arm look fine in comparison.

In hollow mind, Luz and Hunter end up accidentally stumbling into watching a portion of the process of Pip being created and only really see the aftermath of Belos chopping his arm off then attaching it as well stuffing pieces of basilisk into the Pip’s wooden husk and then finally burying the body.

Luz refuses to talk about this and makes Hunter promise to not tell Pip ever about it.
