oh hey by the way, if you like music and queer women and weird meta surreal movies, you absolutely must see The Nowhere Inn.
Carrie Brownstein (of Sleater Kinney and Portlandia) and Anne Clark (aka St Vincent) wrote it and star in it. It's about them (playing themselves) trying to make a documentary about Annie's tour, but things get wEiRd when Carrie suggests that Annie herself is kinda boring and maybe she should be more like her stage persona. The lines blur -- what's the real person vs the persona, how much of this is about the movie they're making vs how much is real?
I've described it as "What David Lynch would make if he were two queer women," and my wife describes it as "Neon Demon but you don't have to deal with a rape scene right in the middle." I think the heart of both those statements is that a piece of art actually CAN be weird and postmodern and meta without all the misogyny and pretentious masculinity that seems to always go along with it.
Although I guess I should say as a caveat to that statement, there is an intentionally uncomfortable scene where two people have consensual sex but demand that a third non-consenting person film them doing it. jsyk. Other than that the only common trigger warnings are a whole lot of unreality (obviously), some references to death and cancer and prison, and just a godawful amount of secondhand embarrassment -- if you've watched Carrie Brownstein's other film/TV work you know exactly what I mean.

Fascinated that they have a hotel on Ferrix though. Like clearly this is not a prime tourist destination, but it's not like a bustling high roller business hub either. Like clearly there is business and enough demand to actually build a whole hotel for travellers to stay, but it's not like, convention central.

I wish people would let others vent about their personal experience with a certain section of a game without inserting their unwarranted experience in how they did it differently and that they reaped the rewards soooo easily like a sweaty gamer on their first try, as if that adds to the conversation and not at all makes the others feel even more demoralizing and definitely soured their first experience and have to expect an outcome in order to win in their favor at this point by save scumming
