Sweet Boy
Masterlist | Seelie Key
Fandom: Genshin Impact
Character(s): Wanderer, Ei (brief)
Reader: Gender Neutral, Creator
Warning(s): Does not follow cannon
Word Count: 1681
Note(s): I wrote this on and off while I was sick, like 2 weeks ago, so it might be garbage and all over the place :)
Tumblr media
You peacefully watched the rain storm, the downpour watering your crops. Suddenly pulled from your daydream by a knock at the door, you walked over and opened it, preparing to reprimand whomever disturbed you. Stopping in your tracks when you realised it was Ei, who was holding a much smaller boy in her arms.
"Your Grace, I've made a mistake." Hearing Ei admit to such a thing was unheard of.
Allowing her into your home, you sat at the table. "Who's the child?" You asked, gesturing to the seat across from you.
With a bit of hesitation, Ei sat down, the boy cradled in her lap. "Do you remember when I asked your permission to make a puppet?"
"I do," you replied, growing a bit concerned where this was going.
Ei's mouth opened and closed, but nothing came out. After a few seconds of silence, she finally got the words out. "I can't force him to be my puppet."
Cocking an eyebrow, you reached over to your teapot, pouring both of you a cup. "Care to elaborate?"
Once again, she looked like a fish out of water, trying to organise her thoughts. "Last night, he shed tears. I'd never forgive myself if I forced him to be my puppet."
Slowly gathering the main issue, you chuckled. "All of you have always had such complex emotions, whether you'd like to admit it or not." You joked, referring to her and the rest of the Archons. "You think of him as your son, don't you?"
Ei's silence said it all. "Your Grace, what should I do?" She seemed to grow more distressed as time went on.
"Well, you have a few options. 1, you can keep him, raise him, not as a puppet, but as your son. Create a new puppet using what you've learned making him. 2, let fate decide what should happen to him."
"Do you mean abandon him?" She asked, almost panicked, forgetting her manners. With a gasp, she whispered, "my apologies."
"Or, 3, let him be your puppet, as originally planned, and let him prove his worth."
Ei sighed, looking down at her puppet. "It's not that he isn't worthy, Your Grace." She trailed off, uncomfortable with needing to make this choice, wishing you'd just do it for her.
"Ei, I know this is a difficult decision for you to make, but I cannot make it for you. I also can't take him," you sipped on your tea. "Me taking him would be equivalent to creating another Archon, which could potentially lead to a 2nd Archon War. I'm sorry dear Ei, but I cannot risk that."
Ei sighed, knowing you were right, asking you to take on the boy would be disrespectful.
Walking around the table to stand next to her, you placed your hand on her shoulder. "Drink your tea and give it some thought. You both may stay here tonight, I hope you have your decision by tomorrow."
Tumblr media
The next day, you saw Ei in the same spot you left her last night, although the boy was sleeping on the futon in the living area. Despite her not needing sleep, she had dark bags under her eyes, as if she'd been up for days. "Ei, are you alright?"
Startled by your question, she jumped, "yes, my apologies, Your Grace. I've just been thinking about what I should do."
"Well, it's still quite early, how about we eat something and then we'll discuss your options more in depth."
With a quick nod, you began making something simple. Dishing out 3 portions, you set Ei's in front of her, one in your spot and the last at the end of the table. You walked into the living area, slowly approaching the still sleeping boy.
Kneeling down, you gently shook him awake. "Sweetheart? Wake up, you should eat something." Being this close to him for the first time, you really noticed the resemblance between him and Ei.
The boy slowly opened his eyes, the same purple as his mother. "Hello." He said meekly.
You smiled, taking his hand. "Come over here, eat with us." He followed you, visibly relaxing when he saw Ei, a familiar face. Gesturing to the table, you sat down, waiting for him to sit as well. Ei sat in silence, staring at her plate. "You may eat, now."
Ei picked up her cutlery, eating in silence. The boy looked between you and Ei in confusion; as far as he knew, Ei was the most powerful being alive. So why did she only begin eating after you allowed it? Who exactly were you, and why did Ei seem on edge around you? Almost scared of you.
"All of your questions will be answered in due time." You affirmed, seemingly reading his mind.
The three of you ate in silence, although questions raced through his head. Would it be rude to ask them? If you were so powerful, surely you'd punish him for speaking out of turn. Deciding to keep his questions to himself for now, he finished his food, opting to look around himself.
Taking in his surrounding, he was startled to hear Ei's voice. "Your Grace," although her voice was barely above a whisper, you looked up from your plate. "I believe I've made my decision." She trailed off, quickly grabbing a cup, which he assumed was water and downing it.
You smiled at her. "Wonderful. We will speak about it later."
Tumblr media
The boy, now known as Scaramouche, was abandoned by his mother, his creator. His last "happy" memory with her was the night he ate with you both. Scaramouche grew to despise you as well. He believed you'd been the one to convinced Ei to leave him, abandon him.
If you created Teyvat, knew everything that was going to happen, and had the power to change the course of history, why didn't you change his destiny? Why did you knowing allow Ei to abandoned him? It didn't make since to him. While still the innocent and curious kabukimono, he'd hoped that you'd come looking for him and take him to your home.
As the days past him by, he'd realised he wasn't wanted, so he gave up, the last of his innocence leaving him when the young boy betrayed him. His heart grew cold, leaving Inazuma, and the pain it cause him, behind.
Tumblr media
Centuries later, you heard news from Sumeru that the Akademiya's Sages were attempting to create an Archon, using none other than Scaramouche. Having rarely left your home since his creation, you didn't know that Sumeru didn't have an active Archon, so when you arrived to aid the blonde traveler, you didn't recognise the small God.
After Scaramouche's defeat, you spoke to the Archon and traveler, learning their names. The traveler told you everything they knew up to this point, about Scaramouche, his life as the Balladeer, and the Sage's plans. "Neither of you need to worry about him, he'll be fine. Nahida, would you mind keeping an eye on him? He's going to be quite weak when he wakes up. I'll come collect him once he's awake."
The Dendro Archon agrees, with a bit of hesitation, understandably so; the puppet had just tried to overtake her position as Archon. When Scaramouche finally woke up, Nahida called for you to collect him. While he was still delirious, he recognised you immediately, trying to get away from you.
Seeing him, you sauntered right up to him, taking his face into your hands gently. "Ah, you've grown so much. I just wish your life hadn't gone down such a dark path."
Irritated, Scaramouche slapped your hands away. "If you're so sorry, why didn't you stop it from happening?" He shouted, turning his back to you.
"It was too dangerous. I wouldn't have been able to ensure Teyvat's, or even your, safety." You turned him back around, one hand on his shoulder. "I remember the night Ei brought you to my home; you were so innocent."
The words felt degrading, yet somehow warm. "Why did you let her abandon me?" His aggressive tone shifted to a vaguely vulnerable one, his voice wavering ever-so slightly.
With a deep breath, you pulled him into your chest, listening as he struggled to hold back tears. "Ei was very attached to you, even though it only been a few days. She didn't want you to be forced into a life of servitude, but she didn't want you to feel as though you'd been replaced."
"I don't... I don't understand," he mumbled.
Running your fingers through his hair, you pulled him tighter against you. "I'm sure you know you were created to be Ei's puppet, but the night before she brought you to me, you cried in your sleep." You rested your chin on his head. "She was worried that, that if she went through with her plan to make you her puppet, you'd be unhappy."
Scaramouche continued to try and push you away for a few minutes before giving in and crying into your chest. "Why was I not good enough?"
"Oh, sweet boy, you are more than enough. That night," you pressed a kiss to the top of his head, "Ei and I wanted you to decide your own fate, let you forge your own path through life. Had I known she'd leave you alone without talking to you about our decision, I would have intervened."
"What?" Confused, the ex-Harbinger pulled away from you.
Wiping the stray tears from his cheeks, "I didn't learn what happened to you until after Ei made the Raiden Shogun, even then, I had to ask. She was still upset about her sister's death, it's not a excuse and she was punished justly."
"I'm sorry," he muttered.
You smiled, "for what, darling? You didn't nothing wrong."
"I've hurt so many people. Killed so many people. I'm sorry."
"Sweetheart, look at me," you lifted his chin. "You were hurting. While it is no more an excuse than Ei's, it is an explanation. You just need to be prepared for the consequences, sweet boy."

Day Ten: Cookies
Written for the @malecdiscordserver advent challenge - join us here
Another first for me... Maiabelle!
(Read on AO3)
~~~
Izzy arrived at the Hunter’s Moon twenty minutes before closing time. Ordering herself a drink she wandered through the packed bar and found a group of Seelies to chat to. Losing herself in the conversation it wasn’t long before she heard the bell behind the bar chiming and Maia’s voice calling out clearly “Alright, it’s closing time. Get out of here, the lot of you.” Within minutes, the entire bar had cleared, Downworlders and Shadowhunters alike knew better than to ignore Maia’s command.
Izzy grabbed a couple of empty glasses as she wove between the tables and made her way over to the bar, giving her girlfriend a quick kiss hello.
“You didn’t have to come meet me here,” Maia said, wiping down the bar with a rag. “And you certainly don’t have to help me close up,” she gestured at the glasses Izzy had started to gather at the end of the bar.
“Nonsense,” Izzy replied, stacking another table's worth of glasses ready to be cleaned. “The quicker you get done here, the quicker I get to take you home.”
Maia grinned at her across the room and redoubled her cleaning efforts, trying to hurry in her tasks.
“Oh, I almost forgot. I made you cookies!” Izzy exclaimed, handing over a tin foil wrapped parcel. “I know how busy things get here this close to Christmas, and with the full moon coming up tomorrow too, you could probably use the sugar!”
“Thanks babe,” Maia pulled Izzy in for a tight hug before quickly turning her attention to the gift. Her thoughtful girlfriend had been right, she did need the sugar. She’d been short staffed all night and hadn’t had a chance to grab a decent break, she was starving. “Choc chip?” she asked, inspecting the cookies in front of her.
Stuffing one in her mouth, she set about stacking the stools on top of the nearby tables ready for the morning cleaners. Her productivity was interrupted as soon as the first crumb of cookie hit her tongue though. Choking slightly, she spit the cookie back into her hand, wincing apologetically.
“Errr, babe. I think you used salt instead of sugar.”
Melancholia Final
Part 1
Part 2
Drabble 1
As the Fae and the gargoyle talked about the town, the humanfolk as well as their own lands, a comfort settled between the two entities. It had been 2 days and it was only around what would have been dusk, did the sky finally begin to clear. Jeimi had been nothing short of hospitable, as he helped her dress her wounds, which were healing well and brought her the stew which was fast becoming her favourite.The pierced wing was still tender and hurt a lot but her gashes were almost closed and the pain a numb throb now.The tendons would definitely take time to heal on that one.
Jeimi was clearly happy with having her around as well, there was a sparkle in his eyes and he smiled more, his eyes turning into crescents that reminded her of the lunar cycle, the past days.
However as the storm dissipated, Jeimi stood solemnly, his gaze unwavering, outside the glass stained windows. Tiana, curious of Jeimi's absence, cautiously descended the spiral staircase where the glass stained windows framed into the tall wooden arches.
Jeimi could hear the soft padding of her feet as she approached him but made no move to acknowledge her presence.They stood together, gazing outside, Tiana's glad at being able to go outside once more and feel the air on her face, she had come to love, while Jeimi's remained unreadable.
He exhaled softly.
"You do know the clouds will clear by tomorrow right? This means that as soon as the sunrays touch this periphery, I will turn into a statue, returning to this form only when the rays leave."
Tiana's eyes widened when she realized Jeimi had answered her question, without her having to utter it. Could it be that gargoyles read minds?
"It was all over your face,I could feel the hesitation from your reflection here" he chuckled, tapping the glass.
"Oh" was all Tiana could utter.She was definitely feeling better even if she couldn't engage in flight, her being, was ready to feel the warm rays of sunshine on her face again, however she also liked talking to Jeimi.
"If it isn't too much, then I'd really like if you would visit me in the light tower.As the sole inhabitant, I can assure you, you'll find no raucous tenants invading your space and calm".
Jeimi's eyes creased and his laughter sounded as sweet as the chimes of the enchanted bells that swung on the musical trees in her land. Tiana giggled herself and they stayed up, talking all night.
The next morning, Tiana was ready to leave for her tower.The sun was bright and wide. As she began to step outside, she could see Jeimi looking pale, hiding in the shadows. The sunrays finally hit the spires and she saw his form fade, his cloudy corporeal form turning lighter and lighter as he muttered a "see you soon" with a soft smile on his face. She nodded, smiling in turn, and pushed the heavy door to move out. The very first thing she did was skip into the woods and look for the pack of fawns she had befriended.
The young ones had only begun warming upto her and she loved how they'd surround her, cooing at her as she fed them leaves,their rough tongues causing a tickling sensation on her palms.
Having had her fill of playtime with the fawns, she went over to the lake and gave herself a once over.She looked tired but her aura was lighter.
Content, she explored the woods a bit more, life, seemingly blooming wherever her gaze would wander off to- the soil beneath her feet looked rich, the leaves above her head a vibrant green, the berries seemed juicier and lustrous. Tiana hummed in delight as she made her way to the seaside tower, the sunrays a little less harsh now. She didn't bother picking up her usual daisies that she wove in her hair; they looked too bright to be anywhere other than their stems.
Tiana arrived when it was nearly dusk, opting to climb the rickety staircase rather than trouble her wing. Reaching her makeshift "room" she cleaned her feet and collapsed on the airy mattress that she took from the humans. It was huge enough for 3 people to sleep and nearly took all her space, except a chair and a table that kept some spare tidbits such as a hand mirror, a vase, some books that she had found discarded. The corner made way to a big window with a sizeable ledge that she often found herself perched on, observing the activities of the town. Now she just enjoyed the vibrant sunsets and the calm that followed, the waves crashing against the rocks and the briny scent, soothing to her senses, that lulled her asleep. Even in her nap, she continued to glow, her surroundings glowing with her very presence in it.
As the last rays of the sun moved away from the spires, Jeimi awoke. He could feel the quiet he had long grown accustomed to and knew Tiana was no longer there. He longed for her company.
He went in the room she had been in and looked at the bowl that he'd fed her stew from, it was as if the Fae had left her subtle indentations everywhere. It was then he knew he had to visit her.
Spreading his dark wings, he leapt from his tower, knowing that the tower stood seaside from what she had told him. She may be a Fae in her prime, but he had been on this land longer than her with his brothers.
As he zipped past the woods, which he knew better than the palm of his hands, he couldn't help but notice the beautiful nightshade flowers that smelt equally nice, it reminded him of her floral scent, the pristine white, like the flowy dress she had on and the cow parsley-daisy flower crown woven in her long, wavy locks.
He swooped down and picked a bunch, breaking off the high branch that held them and continued. Soon he could see the soft glow emanating from the tower and he knew he had reached the right place.
Jeimi slowed down, noticing the glow strong around the uppermost section of the tower, where a ledge sat. He flew towards it and settled on the ledge, peering inside. Tiana lay there, her long locks spread haphazardly over the mattress and her wings fluttered, the left one, stiffer in its ministrations. She was the source of light!
Jeimi's golden eyes couldn't tear themselves away from the sight, the sleeping Fae looked ethereal while her glow seemed to radiate an overall sense of safety and comfort that cocooned his heart. How he had longed to be able to feel that!
Jeimi clutched the branch tighter, debating if he should leave. A loathsome being like him didn't deserve to lay eyes on a creature of light, let alone one as beautiful as that. He turned.
Tiana stirred, feeling a shift in the aura around her, it wasn't malicious per se but still alerted her senses.
She woke slowly and peered outside. There on the ledge sat Jeimi whom she recognized due to the dark wings. Squealing, she flung the window open and hugged him from behind, startling the gargoyle.
"YOU REALLY CAME!!!" she almost screamed at him in her excitement. Jeimi could only chuckle at her enthusiasm as she eagerly pulled him inside, patting to a spot across her before sitting down herself. Jeimi shuffled awkwardly but sat down once she cocked an eyebrow at him. Shyly, he extended the branch to Tiana, not looking in her direction who took it from him and gave him the brightest smile. Immediately, she plucked the flowers and started weaving them on the left side of her head. Jeimi watched her carefully as her nimble fingers worked on it, mesmerized by the apparent softness and shine of her hair which he wanted to feel for himself. He observed her for a minute or so before he cleared his throat.
"Yes?"
"Do you....do you mind if I do that? You know " he gestured the weaving movements of her fingers in her hair, blushing, not quite able to look at her soft eyes.
"Ahh...okay. Why not"
Tiana scooted closer to where Jeimi sat and handed him the flowers. Jeimi regarded her for a moment and continued the pattern, marveling at the texture. Tiana sighed as his fingers brushed through her hair, very gently and dexterously.
She closed her eyes and relaxed as he worked, not even realizing that he was done. It was only when she could not feel the fingers sifting through her hair did she realize he was done and her eyes fluttered open. She thanked Jeimi who grinned back at her.
"You look pretty"
"Do I?"
"Mhmm" he hummed his approval.
Tiana fetched her mirror and noticed that Jeimi had done her hair in a very intricate pattern. She held his hands and squeezed them. Her eyes showing her gratitude. Together they sat on the ledge in peace, observing the ocean.
Jeimi started visiting her everyday and helped her with flight, always careful and asking her if she was comfortable. Tiana tried her best always, and she was rapidly progressing too. Some days they would spend talking, other days, Jeimi would push her to fly more.
Despite the apparent difference in their being composition, a warm bond had blossomed between the two, Jeimi felt better revealing his fears, his pain at the loss of his brothers, his frustrations and Tiana listened in rapt attention, offering words of comfort and pats when he looked especially gloomy. He would fetch her flowers everyday – bluebells, daisies, belladonna –anything he could find and put it in her hair. It became a ritual of sorts for them. Tiana would eagerly wait for his arrival come dusk, and be up the first rays of dawn approached. Sometimes she would tire herself out during the day, checking up on the animals and the vegetation and Jeimi would hum her to sleep in the early hours of dawn, before he had to leave. She'd miss his presence the most when that happened, but would eagerly wait for dusk again.
The seasons passed. Soon it would be the night of the blood moon. It was one of the most dreaded days for the Seelie Court because the moon's power would drain them of their magic and for one night, creatures of the dark prospered, reveling in their newfound strength and power, maddening them and causing grievous destruction.
Tiana was dreading the day even if she knew that there was nothing to fear on this island, afterall it was just her and Jeimi there. His aura was too light to be influenced by the Blood Moon right? However she couldn't voice those concerns to Jeimi who knew better than to press her, she'd reveal her concerns in her own time. Jeimi had informed her that he would be unable to fly in the week that led to the Blood Moon, but he would come visit her as soon as it passed.
"Moonlight" he called.
Tiana turned her head to look at him as they sat on the ledge, enjoying the night breeze, his golden orbs duller than their usual self.
"Promise me, you won't step outside this periphery till...till IT is over"
Tiana knew he was dreading it as much as she was and gave him a smile, intertwining their fingers, rubbing soothing circles on the back of his hand with her thumb. The action seemed to immediately calm him down.
"I'll try not to be out too long, but you do know I have to check up on the animals in the woods and make sure they're safe during such times" She replied with pursed lips.
"Just...try to limit the hours when you're out, please. You're the only company I have here" he implored her.
She took in the desperate look in his eyes, the way his neck muscles seemed to clench and his fang rolled on his plush lower lip.
"Fine" she huffed "I'll try not to be out too long"
Jeimi's face lit up and he went for a hug but hesitated. Tiana understood and hugged him softly.They chatted till dawn, knowing they'd only be able to meet after some days.
As Jeimi left, Tiana immediately collapsed on her bed, exhaustion winning over her.Despite the gentle rays of the sunshine lighting up her room, her dreamscape was painted with dreary strokes, the ball of anxiety in her stomach clawing at her even as she slept.
The next few days passed in a blur and she often found herself wondering what was Jeimi upto?
Finally it was the dreaded day. Despite having rested well the past few days, She could feel the tiredness seeping in her, knowing it would only get worse as the evening descended, the uneasiness along with the nightmares she had leaving her wary.
She spent most part of the day, in the woods, picking out extra berries and nuts to help her cope with the energy drain that would follow.Besides Jeimi would be coming over tomorrow! She ought to have something nice to share with him.The thought made her giddy in excitement and after ensuring that the little fawns and rabbits were safe, she took off, reaching the tower just in time to witness the sun dipping itself in the vast ocean.
She decided to close the window and read, it always did help her fall asleep and she enjoyed the mortals' tales. The moon outside her window steadily climbed higher and higher as did her uneasiness. The moon was pink in hue for now, which she knew would become a deep crimson at its peak, she felt her eyelids grow heavy, her bright glow becoming lighter with every hour.
It was around midnight that Tiana shot up. Something was terribly wrong. She knew it. She also knew that she'd promised Jeimi not to move out, but nothing could shake this feeling off of her.
She gently opened the window and spread her wings, muttering an apology to the wind meant for Jeimi and took off towards the woods. She felt goosebumps erupt on her arms. Whether they were due to the chill in the air or anticipation of what she was about to face, she didn't know. Her first thought was to check up on the family of fawns that lived near the lake. Quickly she hurried, to where they rested, in the thickets near the lake. She could hear the wolves howling in the distance and the Almost crimson moon, added to her anxiety.
The fawns weren't there. She started searching for them, calling out for them in earnest, hoping they'd bound over to her like they always did.As she reached a particularly thicker bush,she felt the soil runny underneath her feet and almost tripped. Steadying her balance, she saw what was the cause – Blood.
Suddenly, she felt her blood run cold as she pictured the worst. Gulping, she pushed the bushes and stepped into the clearing. The fawns were torn to pieces, their bodies indistinguishably mangled, the blood soaking the soil. She felt her heart ripped from her chest but she couldn't pay much attention to the sore sight in front of her, the burning embers that had tormented her one night too many, right in front of her, hooded by the shadows, feasting on what she believed, was one of her fawns.
The creature having noticed her, growled loudly and dropped the flesh which fell to the ground in a sickening thump. Wasting no time, Tiana gathered her energy and shot up, flying as fast as she could. She didn't realize the massive wings the other had, his entire body a deep black, looking even more horrendous due to the shadows of the canopies. Tiana flew solely on the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She knew what would happen if the creature got her first. She had a promise to fulfill.
She zipped past the canopies but her wings could no longer carry her too well. She folded them as she landed on her feet and ran, reaching the lake just like her dreams, except there were no fireflies highlighting them, just the moon's reflection on the water, making it look like it were full of blood instead of water.
She knew the creature had cornered her. It was now or never, if she ran or flew, it would definitely catch her and it would be her end but if she could somehow distract it, she knew she had a higher chance of making it through the night.
"I know you're out there, come on out. I am NOT afraid" she clutched her fists, ready to take the creature on. The clouds hid the moon behind them, making it harder for her to see, her natural glow now only a dull shine. She felt the ground dip behind her and warm air blew on her back. She turned around and gasped. Despite the grotesque features -burning ember like eyes and the longer, sharper blood stained fangs, with skin that felt like stretched animal hide, she saw a face she had come to adore.
"Jeimi" she breathed in despair and sorrow.
The creature paid no mind to her calling out the name and growled, steadying itself over its haunches, grinning as he spotted his next prey. Oh Fae blood had its own sweetness.
Despite being a light fairy, Tiana had, since she was a youngling, been into the graceful style of fighting. The Fae focused more on grand movements to distract their opponents and then attack and finish the fight with clean, precise movements.
The creature, no, Jeimi, lunged at her and she ducked, throwing a warning kick in his direction. He immediately swiped his talons at her and she bent back, avoiding them just in time. He hissed at her. Tiana knew it wouldn't be long before she'd be completely helpless, she got on her knee and scooped some silt in her hand. Just as he came at her again, she threw the wet mud in his eyes, confusing him as the cool goop hit his eyes. His vision distorted.
Tiana took the chance and scurried. Running towards her tower, just a little more...before she would be at the clearing of the woods, Jeimi hot on her heels. Just as she was about to, a stray lock of her hair caught on a branch, jerking her head back. Tiana groaned and tried to free it, as she heard Jeimi closing in. Just as she released it, he grabbed her and pulled her into the woods again, a clawed hand, wrapping itself against her throat as he pinned her to a tree. Tiana's head swam in pain at the rough contact. His other hand grabbed her jaw and twisted her head to the side, exposing her jugular. He licked a broad stripe across it, as tears started streaming out of her eyes. Her heart thudded in her chest too loudly,her vision, spotty, as the grip on her throat constricted her air passages.
Her hands, came up to hold his own and squeezed them "Jeimi, its me...Tiana" she rasped, as her tears clouded her vision "We're going to meet tomorrow right? You promised me...I wonder how will you braid my hair and what flowers will you bring this time?" she slurred as her head pounded painfully, she knew she wouldn't be alive for much longer, mere minutes or seconds, with the choking grip he had on her throat. "I cherish you" was all she could utter before her body crumbled, a rivulet of blood making its way past her lips.
Jeimi's bloodhaze softened as the blood moon began to subside. His vision cleared from its fiery self to the soft golden hues as his talons retracted and his fangs became shorter, his skin slowly getting back to its cloudy hue.
The very first sight his eyes met were a pair of pretty pink lips with a thin trickle of blood leaking from them,leading to a cute nose and closed eyes,framed by rich dark lashes, the visage which belonged to....Tiana???
The hand at her throat immediately removed itself and instead cradled her head,the talons having left deep bruises in their wake as he pulled her slumped frame closer to himself.
"No, no, no it can't be..." he panicked as he moved her head which only lolled in his grip, her dark flowy locks entangled in his fingers.
His own tears flowed, as he held her closer, madly searching for any sign of life in the Fae's figure. "You promised me...you promised me, you stupid Fae!" he yelled as he continued sobbing, holding her closer to him. "This is why I told you not to go out, I never deserved our time and this is the reason why. But I still want you. Open your eyes please....Smile at me just once more."
He held her tight and his agonized screams echoed throughout, the wolves, as if understanding his pain, howled alongside.His own will to live crumbling...if only he'd heard the slight badump of a heartbeat.
Roczen Dominates Anaheim Season Opener Press Release from Honda: The first round of AMA Supercross, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, saw Ken Roczen turn in an exciting dream performance aboard his CRF450R, giving Team Honda HRC the opportunity to celebrate an early points lead in the series. The German native was unstoppable all evening, taking the holeshot in both his heat race and the 20-minute-plus-one-lap main and never relinquishing his lead in either. Along the way, Roczen clicked off unmatched lap times, ultimately taking the checkered flag with nearly 16 seconds to spare. Despite having to shake off some pre-race nerves, teammate Cole Seely put together a solid performance to finish sixth on the night. The Californian got off the line to a top-10 start and quickly made his way through the field, moving into fifth on lap five. He maintained that position until the halfway mark before relinquishing one spot to finish in sixth. NOTES On Friday night, Team Honda HRC’s Ken Roczen and Cole Seely, as well as Honda brand ambassador Andrew Short, were joined by GEICO Honda’s Jeremy Martin and Jimmy Decotis for the first autograph session of the season, at Santa Ana’s Del Amo Motorsports of Orange County, where they spent time hanging out with fans. Team Honda HRC was pleased to host Honda Racing Corporation Vice President Mr. Shuhei Nakamoto at Anaheim, as well as a number of other Honda Motor, HRC and HGA executives. Mr. Nakamoto, who has served in a number of important roles for Honda over nearly 35 years, will retire in April. To show their appreciation, Team Honda HRC presented him with a cake before the evening program began. For the second consecutive year, American Honda welcomed fans in the Supercross Pit Party with a huge setup that included a children’s learn-to-ride center, an exhibit of models from the 2017 CRF family and four vintage race bikes. During the daytime qualifying sessions, Seely notched the third-quickest lap time at 1:02.334, while Roczen was fifth with a 1:02.428 lap. Slotted in the second heat race, Roczen launched his CRF450R to the holeshot and early lead. Seely was in the same race, sitting fifth on the first lap. Roczen began to pull away from the pack before ultimately taking the win, while Seely moved into fourth to secure the final transfer position. Honda’s CRF450R was a popular choice at Anaheim 1, with no fewer than 15 of the 56 event entries choosing it as their steed—four more than the next-most popular machine. This week, the Honda Red Riders head to downtown San Diego for round two at Petco Park. On Friday, the riders will take part in a dealer appearance at Motoworld of El Cajon from 6-7:30 p.m. THE FOCUS: Three-Hour Tour While Team Honda HRC was as busy as anyone preparing for the new season, they did take time to celebrate the holidays, inviting team staff, sponsors and members of the media on a Newport Beach harbor cruise shortly before the New Year. Riders Ken Roczen and Cole Seely were introduced to the attendees, as was brand ambassador Andrew Short and team manager Dan Betley, but most of the time was dedicated to socializing and participating in a Honda-themed trivia contest that was won by Team Golden Boy (captained, of course, by Dunlop’s Broc Glover). “The goal was just to get everyone in a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere,” said Honda Motorcycle Sports Supervisor Brandon Wilson. “It was good for everyone to let their hair down a little bit and get to know each other better without all the hoopla that goes with work. It was a situation none of us were used to, where you could wander around and chat with different people. It was a good event, and I think everyone had fun.” Ken Roczen 94 “Tonight couldn’t have gone better. I’m happy to come away from tonight with the win but I’m staying really calm and taking this season week by week, which I don’t think I did in previous years. It’s important to take this race and enjoy tonight and tomorrow but to continue to look ahead, focus on the next race and not get caught up. At the moment I’m just having a lot of fun. The team is great, they’re working hard and all the details that make me super happy are in place right now.” Cole Seely 14 “I’m okay with how tonight went. It was good to get the first one out of the way, shake the nerves off and still come away with a pretty good finish. If you were to ask me where I put myself against everyone, I’d say that us top six tonightare in another league and going really fast, so it’s going to be a constant battle with those guys this year. I was really loose in practice and able to lay down some good laps to come out third, which is really rare for me because I don’t always qualify the best. I was happy to transfer directly into the main event from my heat race and not have to deal with a semi at the first round. I don’t really know what it was, but I was really nervous before the main. Other than Monster Energy Cup, I haven’t really raced these guys since June. I rode tight but loosened up a little bit in the middle after [Jason] Anderson got around me. Toward the end I was catching [Eli] Tomac but I just didn’t have enough time.” Shuhei Nakamoto HRC Executive Vice President “I’m really happy to see the new CRF450R win the first race of the year! I would like to thank everyone on the development team as well as the race team for getting the machine ready in such a short time, as we were feeling the effect of the earthquake right when this machine was being developed. I was also incredibly impressed by how Roczen rode the whole race. He was completely in control and he looked like he had more to give if needed. Seely also rode tenaciously and did not give up. I’m convinced his results will continue to improve as the season progresses. I’m very pleased to see us win this very important race but we should not be too content. HRC promises to give more support to the team and I hope the team keeps giving their best for the championship!” Dan Betley Team Manager “I’m really happy. Ken rode extremely well all day and completely dominated the main event, so it was a great way to set the tone and start the season on the right foot. I’m kind of bummed for Cole though. He was a little nervous for the evening and I think that may have gotten the best of him a little, but all in all our guys both showed speed all day and our starts were good. We learned a few things throughout the day but overall we’re in a good place and only made a few small clicker changes for each rider. The environment around our team is really great right now. Everyone is very relaxed and having fun, so I can’t speak highly enough about them and all their hard work. I’m really happy with where we are right now and looking forward to the rest of the season.” Oscar Wirdeman Mechanic (Ken Roczen) “This is going to be fun year. Today was almost too good to be true. It was smooth sailing throughout the whole day with the team, bike, practice and obviously race. Ken is really happy with his setup and totally crushed it tonight, but obviously we have a long way to go with 16 races left so we need to stay focused. I just wanted him to leave here healthy and in the top three, and he won by 15 seconds so that’s pretty good.” Rich Simmons Mechanic (Cole Seely) “Tonight was good. Obviously, if you didn’t win you always want to finish better because that realistically is the ultimate goal, but for Cole tonight, I was hoping for a top-three finish. I think the top six were all running pretty close though, so to come away with that at the first round is still pretty good. I think the nerves just got the best of him because he wasn’t himself all day and was just over-riding the bike and track. We’ll work out the kinks and continue to improve each weekend.” 450SX Main Event Results Pos.
