Just had a ninjago au idea where when the time twins changed the past to make the present all "old timey" they were defeated but the changes stayed. So Zane is just dead, as well as Pixal and all other droids, and everyone is freaking out and trying to fix things. But the thing is that as time goes on everyone begins to forget that things were ever different. I don't know where this would go I just had to share

childhood interests

Cole

Cole has immense knowledge of dance moves, techniques, and history because of his dad. He personally was very interested in mountain climbers and researched the history of first and best climbers and knowledge of different mountains.

Jay

Jay is kinda like a car kid, but with home appliances, like he knows who invented the toaster and can tell what model fridge you have just by looking at it. He will judge you for using the wrong type of lightbulb in a lamp. He also liked Fritz Donnegan, read comics and watched movies, all that jazz.

Kai

Kai knows about smithing, really, he just sucks at it. He knows how to work different materials and how to make different weapons, he just can't.

Nya

Nya on the other hand doesn't know as much about the histories of smithing, but is better at it than Kai is. She learned how machines worked by dumpster diving for broken or thrown out tech and reverse engineering everything she could get her hands on.

Zane

Zane is a bird nerd, obviously. When he was younger he had a bird watching journal, but no bird books and so he didn't know what bird species there were. His dad knew what a falcon was, robins, and owls but that was it. So every bird Zane saw he put down as a variation of those species, he knew each singular bird personally and each has its own name, however their names were more or less "brown falcon" "white owl with black spots" and so on.

Lloyd

Lloyd is a fan of his father, he only paid attention to history that includes his father, even though the way Darklys taught it was pretty far off from what actually happened. He also loved Fritz Donnegan, but he couldn't get comics or movie tickets, so he would just stay in the comic book store for a couple of hours reading. He would sneak into movie theaters as well. Most of the books he could get were biographies from actors or authors so he knows a lot about the making of the comics and has trivia levels of strange knowledge.

Delara au

Jay is forced to marry Nadakhan instead of Nya, and this time Nadakhan's plan actually works

Jay used his last wish to prevent Nadakhan from marrying Nya

After getting married Nadakhan say "I wish to see my love" which just causes him to see Jay as Delara

Jay is forced to pretend to be Delara, having to hide his whole identity(name and pronouns and everything)

TRANS JAY

Was given the sword containing all of his friends' souls as a wedding gift from Nadakhan

Becomes pirate queen 👑

"I wish you would just forget about those useless Ninja already" - Nadakhan

Lies 24/7 in order to survive

Is good at planning, leading, intimidation, and murder

Scrap'n'tap master

Main weapon is the soul sword(he can electrify it) "the hell are nunchucks"

He is very close to Clancy(plays chess) and dogshank("girl talk")

Powers come in sparks and linked to his emotions, forgot all his formal training

Eventually gets back by traping Nadakhan in the Sword of Souls and wishing to go back to when things were peaceful and he was happy, sending him to pre Skybound but post possession

He has to deal with his new old life now and is struggling

World Domination

Soo, I've had this au in my head for long enough let's share it.

When the Fangpyres and Hypnobri decided not fight each other they didn't immediately come up with ways to kill Lloyd. Instead they start planning their revenge against humanity and Lloyd is just there and doesn't know what to do but then the Serpentine are talking about taking over ninjago and he chimes in stating how that would be impossible because of the ninja. He gives them information about the ninja so that they could beat them, and he reveals the tomb map so they can free the rest of the Serpentine to combine forces. Pythor takes lead as usual but rather likes the idea of taking over ninjago, so they do that rather than release an ancient unloyal creature of destruction(Great Devourer). They "get rid" of the ninja by hypnotizing them and then using them to defeat the humans.

Lego Batman🦇

I like thinking about the Lego Batmans and their families. The Lego Batman movie (LBM) Batman and The LEGO movie (TLM) Batman have drastically different lives. TLM Batman isn't the hero of Gotham City he just has base knowledge of crime fighting while LBM Batman does actually have to balance his two lives. LBM Batman has to live with loosing his parents, Alfred really raised him, and he has a nice family consisting of a son a kinda boyfriend and a crush by the end of his movie. TLM Batman isn't really connected to his backstory personally, Alfred is more of just his butler, and his family consists of his wife, a queen, and her dad, the guy who saved the world and then started the apocalypse. If they met and talked it would be a crazy conversation

New Au where Lloyd gets adopted

Misako didn't drop him off at Darklys and instead just left him in a random dump. It happens to be Ed and Edna's junkyard. So they take Lloyd in and raise him along with Jay who would be like 4 and so Lloyd has a loving family and stable home life👍

Lloyd knows he's adopted because Jay was old enough to remember, but he would say it like "yeah, you came from the garbage. I saw it with my own eyes!" And Misako would have left a note with his full name on it. Ed and Edna know that he is the son of Garmadon, but don't make a big deal out of it.

The two brothers would be an absolute menace to society. They would read and watch Fritz Donnegan media together. Lloyd yells at transphobes(Jay is trans masc)

Lloyd has brunette hair with a small silver streak(his Oni blood let's him make small subconscious changes and due to Ed and Edna having gray hair he thought that most people did)

Recovery

Jay

He would have a very hard time relearning the fact that strangers are people

When he had the scroll power was overflowing so he had to constantly release energy via static, this has become normal for his body but without the extra energy he is just tired often

Also with his lack of power he has to get used to simply being a normal person who talks to people

He's banned from joining them on missions until he isn't chill with murder

Nya

She didn't actually use her powers too often so she luckily doesn't have to deal with that

She does however have to get used to people trying to help her, people just giving her advice and for her to not take that as them trying to control her

She has difficulty joining them on missions, but she isn't banned

Kai

Ohh boy, Kai is still paranoid as ever and is struggling to control his powers without the scroll, which makes him feel kinda useless

He's not used to people talking to him or being happy around him either

Kai doesn't go on missions, kinda cus he's banned and kinda cus he doesn't want to, he is rather calm about killing enemies and he sees himself as weak due to not being able to fully control his powers and doesn't want to get hurt

Cole

Cole is the least affected, he wasn't entirely conscious during his time in the Never Realm

He was stagnant for years so he does have some joint problems and he needs physical therapy, but that's about it

Doesn't go on missions until he is physically well again

Lloyd

Boy needed therapy then and he needs it now too

He has some remaining anger issues and id really bad at listening to people, he is no longer the leader due to this

He is guilt ridden and isolates himself from his family

He doesn't go on missions, no one knows when he'll be ready to go on them again

Weather Warlock

Jay got banished scroll in possession

He fixed the mech and explored the Never Realm

fell into a similar "funk" as when he was stuck in the First Realm

Vex convinced Jay to join him, they became con buddies

They would sell lightning rods, Jay would make sure that people needed them

Jay held onto the staff and slowly his morals got corrupted by it

The emperor had Jay and Vex captured because of their crimes(theft, widespread panic, and eventually manslaughter) but Jay was having none of it, so he got rid of the emperor and Vex took the throne

No one dares to challenge Vex because he has what most believe to be the very spirit of the sky on his side

Jay electrified Vex with magic juiced up lightning That made him more or less imortal

Lady Phoenix

Nya got banished scroll in possession

She tried to fix the mech, but had no power source so she tried to look for help finding Vex

He tricked her into believing that the emperor was a wicked man, so that she would fight him

After she won Vex claimed that she should rule, she became the Lady Phoenix

The scroll corrupts her sense of self, making her extremely stubborn and unwilling to let others tell her what to do or who to be

She is actually a good ruler, the people's opinions on her are generally positive

She throws Vex in prison because he dared to tell her what to do

Water fills the castle, think wall waterfalls, and there is a moat that has rivers that break off and spread all over the land, the rivers never freeze or slow

Her water boosted by the scroll has healing abilities and people exposed to it don't age, there is water in the prison

Tapestries with phoenix imagery, red and blue are her empire's colors with gold

She wears something similar to her Samurai X armour

Red Shogun

Kai got banished scroll in possession

He tries to look for help while staying close to the mech, just in case the others can track it

Vex finds him barely surviving all alone

He tricked Kai into believing that the emperor of the realm was evil, so he fought him

Kai knowing that he has to win(Vex made certain to make the emperor sound like a horrible person), is able to unlock his powers

Although he thinks he is only able to use his powers with the scroll, so he keeps a hold on it

Kai becomes the Red Shogun because someone needs to prevent the empire falling into chaos

The staff makes him rather power hungry, which in turn makes him paranoid

Vex can easily trick Kai into attacking anyone he wants

He has guards with him at most all times and never leaves the palace

With him in charge the section on the Never Realm we see became a mostly burnt desert wasteland

His fire lights torches that fill the castle, his fire gives off comforting warmth and grants a sort of immortality when in its presence

He wears intricate gold coated armour that he made himself, he is good at making fancy things like when he remade the Golden Weapons

The Volcano

Cole got banished scroll in possession

He stays near the mech knowing that it has a tracker and is therefore more likely to be found than if he left

Vex finds him and lies about the emperor being a terrible person

Cole gave the scroll to Vex, to try and avoid getting corrupted

During the fight, of Cole vs. the emperor and his army, Vex throws the scroll to Cole because he wasn't winning without it

Cole "wins" by accidentally creating an earthquake bigger than he ever has, it wreaks the castle and splits open the ground causing Cole to fall

Cole is stuck and keeps trying to get out, but it's just making him panic, so he stays stuck

Due to his panicked attempts of escape, more earthquakes happened and a mountain formed where the castle once was, which then became a volcano(the lava doesn't hurt Cole)

Now trapped with the scroll in hand, he becomes more and more corrupted, just wallowing in misery and becomes barely even conscious for most of his time in the Never Realm

Vex, always the opportunist, learned that strange crystals appeared near the volcano that had certain properties(think of the promised properties of gemstones were real) and uses them to practically become immortal

The terrain changes a lot, Vex uses this to his advantage by becoming a leader because he has lived as a nomad for awhile and people who's homes were destroyed didn't know how to survive as nomads

The Great Dragon

Lloyd got banished scroll in possession

He tried to find help immediately and ran into Vex

Vex was able to convince him with almost no effort

When Lloyd fought the emperor he sent a shockwave that took out everyone there, including Vex

He became power hungry and full of rage real fast, all those years of unprocessed trauma catching up to him, and he loses his mind

He gains the title of "The Great Dragon" for being a powerful out of control monster

The scroll got caught in his monster hair after he couldn't just hold onto it normally

His more Dragon and Oni features come to light, he looks a bit like his dad in his warlord phase and devolves into a dragon/oni looking creature

Mainly black with green and purple accents
