Buck looks at himself in the mirror, pondering his own reflection and the way the white foam covers his chin before breaking his own eye contact and tipping his chin back.

2. Unnamable Thoughts and Insomnia

TK rolls over onto his back, staring at the ceiling.

3. In Which Jackson is Smart and his Friends Aren’t Subtle

Lucy’s been acting weird lately.

4. With(out) A First Date

Eddie sinks onto the couch and reaches for Buck’s hand like it’s second nature, like they’ve been touching each other like this for months, not since just this morning.

5. Long Days and Longer Hugs

It’s all Tim can do to find the energy to button his flannel before he leaves the locker room.

6. Like I Used To (or not)

Buck looks across the table and smiles at the sight of Eddie focused on the plate of carbonara in front of him.

Tim slides the house key into the lock of his front door, careful not to let the other keys jingle too loudly as he pushes his way into the living room.

Directors commentary on “all you had to do was ask”? Loved that one 🥰🥰

Aww, I’m so glad you liked it! @dramamineontopofme and I were screaming one night about how great it is when someone realizes they’re in love and is pissed off about it, and it devolved -- as our conversations often do -- into who’d be on which end of the trope, Buck or Eddie.

From there, the outline really put itself together. Probably half-ish of the dialogue is straight out of our DMs especially the part at the end with the tiny kiss and “why would I hit you”? Which is honestly how most of my favorite writing comes up: sharing ideas with friends until one of us gets attached enough to write the thing out all the way

Where you post: Everything goes on my ao3, and I crosspost to tumblr when I remember to do that. 50-50 shot, honestly, but I’m getting better.

Most Popular One Shot (by kudos) Overall/This Year: Like I Used to (or not) with 349! Given how many people I had all fired up while I was working on this one, I’m not surprised how much attention it got when I posted.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter (by kudos) Overall/This Year: With(out) a First Date has 644 kudos. It was pretty early in my writing year, but I had a ton of fun putting that one together!

Favorite story you’ve written so far: I’m particularly proud of Soft as Her Hair, because it was the fic that broke me out of a year-long writing funk and really got me back into writing a lot. And 5,578 Miles (to get back to you) is hands down the most researched thing I’ve ever written, so it holds a very special place in my heart.

Fic you were nervous to post: He Kept The Hotel Key has ended up being one of the fics I’ve gotten the most feedback on this year, but I was so stressed about posting it because I’ve hardly written any smut before, so it felt very out of my comfort zone. Also, I wrote Say It Again at the same time as grocery store fics were becoming a Whole Thing, so it took a few months before Zee convinced me to post it anyway

How do you choose your titles?: It depends on the fic, but I do a lot of songfics and usually title those with a play on the title or a lyric from the song. alternatively, I’ll try to pick a line from the fic ((because I love the moment as a reader where the title clicks and makes sense)) or some attention-grabby play on what the fic is about. Usually it’s one of two extremes: either a fic titles itself along the way, or I spend half an hour toiling over it.

Do you outline?: Always. Everything. I think I’ve pantsed like three things since I started writing a lot again this year. Writing and planning are very different mindsets for me, and I can’t do one without the other.

Complete: 74 published this year, according to my ao3

In-Progress: One I’m actively writing, a partial fic I have no actual plan for ((set out to write something else entirely and started that instead)), one other outline, three pre-outlines ((a little bit more than an idea, but not quite enough that I could start writing on them just yet)), and seven finished fics I need to edit, plus a few that are ready to publish when I think it’s time.

Coming soon/not yet started: Two songfics ((one Buddie, one Chenford)), two elaborate AUs ((Buddie/911, 911 Lonestar but not quite Tarlos)), and three other fics on the To-Write list that exist only as ideas ((two Buddie and a Chenford))

Prompts?: Sure, if there’s something you want to see! No promises, but i’m always open to ideas.

Upcoming work you’re most excited about: I'm super excited for the Chenford fic I’m going to start writing next, and the Buddie fic I just finished writing. It needs edited still, but I know I’m going to catch some hands from the ending and I’m ready for it.
