We all have seen that Amane was abused, and considering Tsukasa, I think it wouldn’t be too hard to believe Tsukasa was the one abusing him (also wouldn’t be shocked if their parents ignored it). 

I believe that Tsukasa’s murder was...sort of, an accident. This is why Hanako feels so guilty over it.

If you look at the flashback to Tsuchigomori and Amane...the suicide flags are endless: “I’m not going anywhere”, giving up a prized possession, Tsuchigomori’s guilt, “he wasn’t supposed to die young” , the way he stood on the windowsill and had such a dead look in his eyes...

I think what happened was, Amane was caught by Tsukasa when he was trying to kill himself with the knife, they struggled and Tsukasa ended up dead in a strange perversion of ‘self defense’

I feel like it fits Tsukasa’s obsessive ‘love’ of Amane for him to try to stop him from killing himself, not because he cares about him really, but because he didn’t want to lose his favourite toy. Him constantly going “I love Amane, my favourite thing is Amane!” and then turning around, hurting his twin and then trying to justify it by saying “We were just playing! I didn’t MEAN to hurt you!” (I bet this is how their parents missed what kind of child Tsukasa, little fucking sociopath that he is, really was. Besides, who is really going to believe that their younger child is abusing his older twin brother?)

The gaslighting probably really sunk in to Amane. He knows his brother isn’t normal, but he loved him, right? He didn’t deserve to die, right?

Japanese ghosts tend to keep the wounds/methods of their death. Hanako murdered Tsukasa with the knife, but Tsukasa doesn’t have it. Hanako does. 

I think after he realized he killed his brother (btw: Tsukasa mentions Hanako’s face of guilt and horror is the face he made when he killed him, supporting the idea it was an accident) Hanako turned the knife on himself, like he had intended beforehand. If he wanted to die before, he deserved it now. (Also don’t think about their poor parents discovering the murder-suicide of their twin boys) this is why the knife is on Hanako. And where does he keep it?

In his chest. Not inside of his jacket. He is never seen opening it. It is inside his chest.

This is why the twins are still the same age. They were born together, they died together. Amane didn’t live very long after his brother died. 

Tsukasa, far from being upset by this, RELISHES the knowledge that his brother couldn’t live after he was gone. That they are together in death as they were in life.

I’m also a supporter of the Tsukasa is Hanako’s Yorishiro theory, which gives Tsukasa MORE ammo.
