So you may wonder what I��ve been up to for the several years since I was last active on this account? Mainly leveling every single class to the cap in Final Fantasy 14.

In order: 1.) Alchemist - Taken in Radz At Han, birthplace of Alchemy 2.) Armorer - Taken at Watts’ Anvil in Lakeland, where I helped a bunch of dwarves build little go-kart size tanks to sell to merchant caravans for guard duty 3.) Astrologian - Taken in Idyllshire, which was built on the ruins of the Sharlayan colony in Eorzea, which seemed appropriate since it’s the Sharlayan version of Astrology we learn as player characters 4.) Bard - Taken in the Sastasha dungeon, on the isle of Vylbrand, way back at the beginning of my tale as Warrior of Light 5.) Black Mage - Taken in the ruins of Mhach, birthplace of the Black Mage tradition, at the prison of Ozma, an excellent example of why magics originating in Mhach are largely forbidden now 6.) Blacksmith - Taken outside of my personal house in Ul’dah, where I spent several million gil crafting the Forge exterior 7.) Botanist - Taken in Nophica’s Altar in Old Gridania, to remind the Elementals that they’re on my shit list for letting their priests get away with so much racism in their names 8.) Carpenter - Taken in Ala Ghiri in the Peaks region of Ala Mhigo, which is my character’s home town, and where he first learned the basics of woodworking from his father 9.) Culinarian - Taken in my character’s private apartment which I have converted into a horrible seafood restaurant: “Cap’n Siege’s Chowder Sluice: ‘Til Sea Swallows All-You-Can-Eat! Limsa Lominsa’s most affordable fast-casual seafood dining experience!” 10.) Dancer - Taken in Kadjaya’s Footsteps in Thavnair, birthplace of the Dancer fighting style 11.) Dark Knight - Taken in front of the Crystal Tower in the Crystarium, where we became the Warrior of Darkness 12.) Dragoon - Taken on a cliff overlooking the city of Ishgard, birthplace of the Dragoon fighting style 13.) Fisher - Taken on the dock near the Fisher guild in Limsa Lominsa 14.) Goldsmith - Taken in the Lord of Vermillion game hall in the Gold Saucer, which involves battles between the little robots known as mammets, who are the most sophisticated products of the Goldcrafting skill 15.) Gunbreaker - Taken at the Bozjan Southern Front base camp overlooking Castrum Lacus Litore, where the Bozjan tradition of sword-that-is-a-gun fighting clashes with the Garlean tradition of sword-that-is-a-gun fighting 16.) Leatherworker - Taken at the Mol camp in the Azure Steppe, where those sheep are about to become saddles 17.) Machinist - Taken at the Parrock sky pirate base floating above the Abalathia’s Spine mountain range 18.) Miner - Taken at the jewelry merchant’s stall in Ul’dah 19.) Monk - Taken under the watchful gaze of Rhalgr’s statue in Rhalgr’s Reach, once a holy place to the Ala Mhigan monks 20.) Ninja - Taken at the Doman Enclave, homeland of the specific style of covert assassination and combat magic that we were taught 21.) Paladin - Taken on the Moon. You know, the Moon in the Sky 22.) Reaper - Taken at the Forum Solius park and playground in Garlemald, where the Reaper combat style was born and widely practiced, until it was pushed out of common use in favor of Magitek 23.) Red Mage - Taken at Siege’s home town of Ala Ghiri in the Peaks region of Ala Mhigo, with Nyunkrepf’s Hope in the background, the ark that features heavily in the origin story of Red Magic 24.) Sage - Taken in Old Sharlayan, on the docks overlooking the statue of Thaliak 25.) Samurai - Taken in Kugane on the roof of the Shiokaze Hostelry, overlooking the Sekeisegumi barracks, home to the aggressively shitty bunch of cops we learn this style of fighting from, on whom I look down both physically and morally 26.) Scholar - Taken in the Wanderer’s Palace (Hard) dungeon, which is the last remnant of the civilization of Nym, birthplace of the Scholar style of magic 27.) Summoner - Taken in Mor Dhona overlooking the Crystal Tower, a major relic of the lost civilization of Allag, where the Summoner style of magic originated. And also overlooking the remains of Midgardsormr,Father of All Dragons, and father specifically of Bahamut, who became the summoned monster at the heart of some of our most potent techniques 28.) Warrior - Taken in the battlefield to fight the Ultima Weapon in Castrum Centri at the climax of the original A Realm Reborn mission series 29.) Weaver - Taken in Eulmore, a place so greatly concerned with fashion that they force all travelers to take mandatory showers when they first arrive 30.) White Mage - Taken in the Lost City of Amdapor (Hard) dungeon, birthplace of White Magic

Not featured: Blue Mage, because I still have to finish the level 70 and 80 content, and I don’t really think of it as belonging to this set conceptually as a Limited Job

And here I am! To introduce! The youngest of the elfbun children!

Meet Kelta Varlineau, only boy and youngest of the four Gogo-Estinien children.

He’s a grumpy little thing, taking after his Elezen father heavily. Has three older sisters, and is psychotically overprotective of all of them. Hates men to an extreme degree, and chugs his respect women juice while staring you point blank in the eye, flipping you off as he does. Tsundere doesn’t quite cover this boy. Is pretty much a clone of Gogo in looks, but has Estinien’s eyes and slightly more sleeked hair while Gogo’s is more curled and wild. Is a short Prince. With his ears, which much like Gogo is as short as they can get (he also has Gogo’s tail, a trait picked up from Gogo being half Miqo’te triggering a bit of a genetic throw back), he is 5′6″. 4′ 11″ without the ears. He’s 22.

He’s a Dark Knight, the tank of his static group with his sisters. Prefers it that way, because if things are hitting him, they’re not hitting his sisters. He secondaries a Dragoon and Reaper, as does his sisters. Both of his Dads’ main classes. He learned Dark Knight from an extremely close family friend, Gogo’s other best friend from this life and the one before, Neruki Skyborne. 

Does have a short fuse of a temper, and often has to be reigned in by his sisters who have a very practiced method of rescue, sleep, and healing whatever damage has been caused.

The children were all born in Radz-at-Han, and Vrtra could not be a happier Uncle, getting his own mini-brood to protect and be a live-in babysitter to. The group often travels back to Ishgard and the Steppe to spend time with family and friends, but have yet to be much in the rest of the world. The children have used a hidden chunk of Hydaelyn’s power to send themselves back in time, to get to meet their parents when they were younger. The four work as a mercenary group, under the tutelage of Gogo Dotharl, a great Merc.

Sisters coming soon, uhuhuhu. I’m easily amused, alright?

So um.

I made a wizard tower in my yard in FFXIV.

The tower is glitchy (cursed?) and you get 1 of 3 outcomes when trying to climb it:

1. Climb the steps within the bottom room, jump, and it teleports you to directly to the roof. Don't question it. You made it. The Tower has accepted you.

2. Get stuck in the in-between chamber (a.k.a. Wizard Jail).

3. The tower becomes intangible and you can walk right through the walls. You can't even climb it any more. It mocks you.

Anyway, if you want to climb my Wizard Tower it's at Aether > Sargatanas > Empyreum Ward 30 Subdivision > Plot 35!

Im not retconning because Kasha is better than her anyways 🙄 /hj Kasha was raised in Doma on a small farm! She had a younger brother and an older sister, her older sisters name was Kasha and she was killed by an unknown group. My wol then took their sisters name and fled to Eorzea on a refugee boat. She landed in Ul’dah and started from there! Kasha is VERY aggressive, mean, and insulting. She does not know basic manners and will speak her mind freely. Eats with their hands and also eats ANYTHING… Kasha doesnt like being the WoL, but continues this role because if she wont then who will? They’re very loud and boisterous and confident. Will fight anyone and everyone. She has 97 mental illnesses and is banned from most countries. She doesnt know how to read and is an overall idiot but shes doing her best leave that little guy alone Shes also 6ft tall and buff as SHIT

q. Tell us a bit about your WoL! a. Have you ever thought "Huh, I wonder how the story of Final Fantasy XIV would change if Azem was never sundered?" WELL DO I HAVE THE WARRIOR OF LIGHT FOR YOU! Introducing Eleutherios! The lovable Azem who spent his days travelling Etheirys, caring for its people, and annoying the Convocation. Until everything fell apart, of course. On the eve of the Sundering, he denounced both the Convocation and Venat, choosing to find his own path to end the Final Days. Paths that didn't involve summoning gods or killing half of the star's population and then some. But Venat and the others had chosen their courses, and fate had been set. Now, Eleutherios should have died when Hydaelyn broke the world. But he did not. Why? Well, because of the timeline splitting in two. When? When a traveller from the future arrived in Elpis to learn the truth of the Final Days, of course. This traveller? Eleutherios himself. Hydaelyn had spared him from Her spell, making him Her chosen, in the same vein as the Unsundered Ascians being chosen to carry out Zodiark's will. Eleutherios believed the Ascians' plan to restore the world to what it once was foolish. Their people were dead. Nothing can fix that. They just have to push forward and make the best of the future they've been given. But his fellow Unsundered couldn't see this, trapped in their ideals of what the star should be. They needed to see it for what it is. But how could he expect the Convocation to do that, when the only one of them who ever seemed to care about the individual lives of the people was him? So someone has to fight for the new life springing up across the star. And thus began his great work. He's risen up to be the Warrior of Light countless times, over and over, for eons. With each Rejoining marking another failure. Time and time again he had to watch as everything he fought for was reduced to ash. Once, twice, seventh. It seemingly never ended. But what choice did he have? If he didn't fight against the Ascians, he was practically working for them by letting them get away with these atrocities. And so he carries onward as he's always done. But unbeknownst to him, this time was different. This time he meets the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. This time he travels to another Shard and manages to prevent a Rejoining. This time he isn't alone to face the second Final Days. This time, everything will finally be ok.

q. Why should YOU win? (Answer IC!) a. "Well, I'll be honest with you, I don't mind if I win or not. I just like participating and getting to know everyone! Oh, and I'll promise I'll hold back, for their sake. Though if they're Warriors of Light I'm sure they'll all hold up just fine! But if you want a serious answer about why I specifically should win, then…" [Eleutherios takes a moment to think.] "I should win based off of the fact that I have eons more experience in this whole 'Warrior of Light' business than the rest of them do. I've been at it since the Sundering! Not to say that my many, many years of experience is needed to be a Warrior of Light, or that I'm better than the rest, which couldn't be further from the truth. I think we all stand equal, sundered or not."

q. Anything else you wanna add? a. I have so much more lore for Eleutherios and I had to cut down this introductory essay by a LOT. I'm currently working on an extended version which covers ALL of his lore. It's been a while since I've posted much more than the very occasional reblog, but for SOME REASON I'm feeling like stretching out into other social media venues a little more than usual today...

So. Final Fantasy 14 remains my ongoing hyper-fixation. My character is Captain Siege Zabac of Sargatanas server (Aether DC), a big rowdy brawler and buffoon who may also be Eorzea's greatest tactical genius. Siege stumbled his way into the profession of Warrior of Light after a lengthy and convoluted career in which he was, among other things, an involuntary conscript into the Garlean 7th Legion, a smuggler, a merchant guard, a member of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, an independent restauranteur, every kind of sailor you could care to name, and most frequently and successfully a pirate.

He likes to drink, he likes to fight, he likes to fish, and he likes to do all of the above in any combination simultaneously if circumstances will permit. He's a bisexual disaster in a loosely defined relationship with Ser Aymeric de Borel and Hilda Ware, both of whom are unambiguously too good for him. But he fucks almost as good as he fights and you don't just walk away from that. He and Estinien also have a friendship that sometimes involves doin' it, but it's just bros helping each other relax, you know how it is. I also ship him a little with Lyse Hext but I think he's probably too old for her, so it's evolved more into a protective older brother relationship. He's been married once, but it was a volatile relationship and didn't last. He and his ex are on much better terms now. (She's another of my PCs, I have too many alts and need to stop.)

He's a level 90 Everything, but his main combat jobs are Dragoon, Machinist, and Gunbreaker... and he's pretty solid as a Monk, Red Mage, and Sage (so two from ARR and one new one from each expansion... hopefully whatever comes next feels right for me to stick to this pattern). He's also an expert Fisher, Botanist, Culinarian, Carpenter, and Blacksmith.

When he's not adventuring these days, he runs "Cap'n Siege's Chowder Sluice", Limsa Lominsa's most... affordable... fast-casual seafood dining experience. If you're ever in the neighborhood and you don't fear food poisoning, drop on by! It's at Aether Data Center -> Sargatanas Server -> Limsa Lominsa: Mist Housing District -> Ward 27 -> Apartment 1!
