Rin-> He’s shouting and doesn’t even realize the extent of his actions. Not even the stony look in your eyes stops him. It’s the final slam of the door that brings him to his senses. And that’s when everything falls apart. He promised you he would work on this, he promised you a thousand times and yet—

His world? Gone.

Sousuke-> He’s in the middle of chopping vegetables when suddenly his hand stops short. This was your favorite meal right? It just came so naturally to him, almost as natural as the way you left him.

Aii-> His clothes still fill with your scent.

Momo-> “Did you see that (y/n)?!” Momo waves proudly at the stands after achieving a personal best. He still hopes that one day you’ll call back out to him...like the way you used to.

Rin

HE IS A DRAMA QUEEN. 

Sometimes it’s hard to take him seriously when he’s like this, he’d be more over the teasing side, but he’d poke around you not wanting to be with him anymore and wanting to be with that barista guy in the coffee shop you visit frequently. 

Sometimes, you’d play along, until you can literally see him tear up. 

Then, you’d decide that it’s enough and you’d pull him in for a hug. 

He’s dumb, he can’t see how beautiful he is, can he? 

You’ll make sure he knows he’s your one and only. Then, he’ll tease you back with how much you love him. 

Nitori

He is a sweetheart, he’d be so heartbroken when he sees you talking to your tall classmate. 

He’d start wondering if you’d like him better if he was taller or stronger, or if his eyes were darker. He’d change his haircut if that meant youd like him better.

Nitori’s eyes would look glossy when you come closer to him after noticing him by the door. 

You’d hug him and kiss his cheek, he’d shyly ask if you dont mind him not being that tall. 

You laugh it of softly, “No, Ai, you’re perfect like this”, wrapping your arms around him. 

You’d feel him relax in your arms and blink back a few tears.

Momo

He might feel his world is falling apart. 

Momo would very likely make a scene and sob when he thinks you like someone other than him a lot more. 

He’d talk to you about it though.

You’d explain that it’s nothing like that and that this person was just borrowing something from you. 

He’d wait until you give him a forehead kiss to stop his sobbing.

Then, Momo would take you to get some ice cream. 

Sousuke

He’s a bit harsh and erratic when he’s not thinking straight. 

Sousuke wouldn’t want to hurt you in anyway, but if you try to talk about it at the wrong place and time, it could turn into a fight (depending on how you both handle it of course). He can be very explosive. 

He would never attack you in anyway, but he’d want to pull himself out of any interaction with anyone for a bit to cool off. 

If you leave him alone to think, from the begining, he’ll calm down and come back in a few minutes. He’ll hug you and tell you how much he loves you. 

But on the few days where he’s a bit more difficult to handle, if you try to push him into telling him what’s wrong he might snap. He’d be dumb and say something that he doesn’t mean. 

He’d then come back and try to explain what was happening through his mind. 

He is 100% not good with “negative” feelings, but he will fight back really hard to show he’s very sorry.

Seijuro

Honestly, Seijuro is pretty cool about it. Like, yeah, sure, he does get jealous, because it kinda happens to a lot of us. But he’s mature enough to not make a scene about it (probably not like Momo, for example).

He’d try to not address his feeling though, at first, because he doesn’t want to make a big deal about it, until you feel he’s a bit more quiet.

Seijuro will then explain to you how he feels, he’ll be very clear in the fact that there’s nothing wrong with you and that he should just probably reflect on his feelings for a bit.

You could try to validate his feeling or just let him deal with it by himself, but if you try to talk it out with him, he’ll feel a lot better with the situation and himself.

samezuka's manager!y/n: as a second year

so! it's your second year as the swim team's manager (but you're a third year now)

right so rin for no reason at all drags you to his extra practice sessions, and that's where you meet kou

when the main desk tells her to find her brother at the pool, she enters to find him splashing at some random girl (hehe that's you)

you're both laughing at something he's said, she watches as you stand to hand him a water bottle and caution this dehydrated mess to not push himself too much

you're making a few minor modifications to uozumi's training regiment in the club room when kou asks rin about you

"who, (y/n)? haha yeah she followed me here"

N E WAYS so ofc kou misunderstands, so congrats now all of iwatobi swim knows you as rin's girlfriend

everyone is dying to meet you, neither you nor rin know why, and the meeting is set at the iwatobi swim club

you were curious about this haru character, who apparently had been your best friend's inspiration on more than one occasion

now, haru did strip the moment he saw water, but the entire iwatobi team jumped into some sort of practiced formation between him and the pool, fight stances and all, until he introduced himself to you and made some conversation

it's wasn't until tachibana said "you're doing great, haru" did you realise who he reminded you of, nitori

you almost adopted hazuki the moment you saw him

ryuugazaki was something else entirely - infact, he was the one to let the girlfriend thing slip

now the iwatobi boys + kou are mAD that y'all are just friends because they ship

when you get back to school, though...

ohhhhh your eyes have been opened

it's been a year since uozumi first approached you with the request to become samezuka's swim manager, so it's spring again, aka the boys are frightened as hell

mikoshiba hasn't left for hidaka uni yet

you're putting two and two together: it's time for the Spring Training from Hell

yeah this is why they were looking for a therapist manager

you underestimated seijuro mikoshiba's determination to make samezuka the bestestest team but he just sent you the training regiments and ohoholy shit you stand corrected

the team is practically dEAD after first day

iwashimizu's legs were so shaky mans fell back into the pool lmfaooo

you've never seen such raw terror in rin's eyes

uozumi has to literally crawl to the showers

sei seems to be pushing nakagawa especially hard, which you find a bit strange

poor thing accidentally waltzed into the girl's dormatories instead of the boys', where he got beat up some more

you're sure you'll have to put up shrine another next to riono's by the end of this training for mizutani, who is currently undergoing what seems to be multiple existential crises

yeah, only sei can come up w such a program

oh!! and riono has actually started coming to practices now you won't remove the shrine tho

it's a a bit difficult to see much improvement since they're exhausted and complaining all the time, but mikoshiba knows you might just kill him for torturing your boys uselessly

fourteen hellish practices later, all of you are finally at the station to see your former captain off cue the waterworks

the next day, you take the entire team to the hot springs as compensation for all the torture

congrats, your dead team has been revived

as they gradually return to their 100% after a few days, you are blown away

there's a drastic improvement in everyone, the new times are off the charts

ajajavsvajaks you're crying proud mom tears

when they see everyone's progress in the little charts you've made, the guys are overjoyed enough to crush you in a group hug

you allow it tHIS ONE TIME ONLY because they're actually wearing clothes lmfaooo

baby kazuki lets you ruffle his hair as he's going "what'll we do without you next year (y/n)???"

everything goes silent because technically you are a third year now, soo

yeah you happen to catch a cold before school starts, aka the boys have personally come to put you under dorm-arrest

welp now you're standing face to face w the roommate (madoka) you haven't spoken to much + she has so many questions

"there was the guy that kept on asking if you wanted food, is that your boyfriend?"

"uozumi isn't my boyfriend," you tell her politely

"what about the one that kept offering you medicine, is he?"

"minami isn't my boyfriend either"

"there was one who cried like you were dying?"

"yeah i'm not dating rin either"

she asks why your entire entourage is hot guys

"oh, you're the swim manager? honestly i would've tried working at the club in town - iwatobi sc, have you heard of it? - but my dad works there and it'd be soooo weird yk" spoiler: her dad is coach sasabe

"really?? haha this is such a coincidence, i was trying to find someone who'd like to be our manager for next-"

you both freeze before slowly grinning

at the end of the next day, madoka stays back to help her chemistry teacher so you're not able to introduce the team

they've got their own surprise waiting, though, because-

"well, if we've got eight first years," you're telling captain matsuoka, "then i suppose the initial placement shouldn't take longer than two- holy fuck"

and from the showers enters possibly the finest man you've ever seen - ofc rin follows your line of sight before grinning evilly

"his name's sousuke yamazaki," he tells you, definitely mistaking your surprise, "he's got the perfect swimmer's physique, no?"

this is not real, he is not real, there is no way a literal god is on samezuka's swim team pls-

"(y/n), right?" he's holding out a hand for you to shake

you accept it, taking a cautious step back

ofc rin the dumbass decides to stick his nose into your business "you look red"

you could never commit homicide infront of nitori, but trust me that was the closest you'd ever gotten to it

"i-it's probably the cold i had yesterday"

he doesn't get the chance to reply to you though, because the three stooges mizutani, nakagawa and riono yell for you from the other side of the pool

you spot uozumi smacking them upside the head and decide it's time to intervene, waving rin and yamazaki goodbye

"we want to get to the national level, (y/n)" mizutani tells you

"and you're the only best trainor in this school for that" nakagawa adds nervously

kazuki smiles dryly from behind them, him an uozumi placing one hand on either of their heads as they force the three into a bow "try again"

"PLEASE HELP US IMPROVE (Y/N)"

"hohoooo this is the shit" you hear iwashimizu mutter

he promises to send you the video as hush money for bringing his phone into the pool area

you accept the boys' request, of course, and give them three days to write you a list of their goals - what they want to achieve to win nationals

cut to three days later, you've gotten a sheet that says

"the best breast stroke swimmer" from mizutani

"to beat the captain" from nakagawa

and finally, a... questionable? sketch of an ungodly muscular man from riono

yeah, you're not too surprised

it takes you some time, but you manage to whip out a near perfect training regiment for all three of them + one for rin (which he had to beg for, obviously)

you trust seijuro, both as a talented alum and a friend - he'd always had a talent for finding talent, if that made sense - and the way he pushed nakagawa, mizutani, and riono during the training, he must've known they could get to nationals

the regiment is definitely hard, and there's a lot of groans and sighs

you clipboard them, of course

it seems to be a year of miracles, though, because there isn't a word of complaint from anyone after that

also did i mention rin literally has no idea how to Captain™

this poor bby does end up getting the confidence for it after a month or two, but after abandoning the sport entirely for a year back in australia, he doesn't think he deserves the title

"uhhh (y/n), do you mind if i use the pool tonight? it's just that there's someone i'm trying to teach a few strokes, so would it be alright?"

yeah, he loves swimming, but you'd only just joined the team a year ago and he realises that after this year, he won't be seeing you as often as he does now

the door doesn't stay shut for long after rin's left

you clear your throat, glancing down at the weapon pen in your hand

he thinks he'd like to though -- he's always been attracted to passionate people, and you've done so much for his friends

"...will you really?" you're asking

he finds himself nodding before he can truly think of the consequences

you spend the day with sousuke as he guides you through the problems with more patience and skill than you'd initially credited him with

yeah, it's weird and exciting to have someone other than madoka and rin in your dorm, especially mr sex on legs here, but it's also oddly...intimate?

you never noticed before, but when you're not too busy staring, yamazaki's presence is extremely calming

you feel your tension about the test melt away as you listen to him (trying to) crack physics jokes to help you remember the material (they're terrible, but he's stuttering and utterly embarrassed, so you're laughing for his sake)

once your test is over, as promised, you take rin out to dinner to your favorite street food place

y'all break into visit iwatobi sc after - which in hindsight, was a mistake

his jovial personality dissipated the moment you jumped through the windows walked through the doors, with you having to elbow him to break whatever stupor he was under

it's like you're on the bus back from nationals last year, you're sensing that same vulnerability from him, as if he wants to spill but is holding back

he folds up his jeans legs and digs his feet into the water, with you following suit

you rest your head on his shoulder "what're you all mopey for? i'm the one who probably just failed a test"

the silence is deafening in the moments before he speaks "you know i used to swim here with haru and the guys, right?"

"mhm" ohoho here it comes

"but i went to australia, and..."

ohhhh so that's what this is about

you scoot away from rin to turn towards him, eyes set in determination "that isn't going to happen again, rin. you arent a quitter. the fact that you're even swimming at all proves it. haru, tachibana, sousuke, me- we're all so proud of you for going after what you love. you're smarter than you were then, and besides, if you return all emo and rude i will personally take responsibility to whip you back into shape"

ok in his defense, he tried, but it's rin after all, he's sobbing

he flicks your forehead before habitually bringing down his cap to shield his eyes from your vision

"it's not a bad thing to dedicate yourself to your goal, rin" you mention offhandedly, laying back on your elbows with your feet still in the freezing water, "but you gotta know that your friends will always be here. so you go on ahead and chase that dream, kay?"

he sniffles, glancing down at the water before turning to you with a large, teary grin "i will"

since samezuka has a two-day break coming up, and so does iwatobi, you and nagisa plan a movie night for both teams

the invitations are all sent, the day has come, the snacks are here, there's enough seating, and the blankets and comforters are set

it's rin, uozumi, minami, nitori, momo and riono from samezuka + the iwatobi team (at Haru's place after a little mackerel bribe) and everything's perfect, minus one lil problem: no one chose a movie

right off the bat ryuugazaki suggests a documentary, to which minami eagerly nods, adding, "i just watched one on bioluminescent algae and their affect on the-"

poor bby stops short at nagisa's horrified expression

riono raises his hand this dork "how about a marvel movie?"

"THEY KILLED TONY HOW ABOUT NO??" (that's momo)

nagisa grabs his chance "horror?"

kou shrieks

oh wait no, that was tachibana

let the games begin it's an all out war, tachibana is challenging nagisa to a game of rock paper scissors, ryuugazaki is cutting little voting ballots like the cute lawful good child he is

you're sitting in the midst of the chaos, with your back against the couch

sousuke, on the couch behind you, taps your shoulder before pointing towards haru

only then do you notice rin instigating ryuugazaki and nagisa's argument as a distraction as haru puts on a-

oh.

the boys settle down as a romantic comedy opens

the movie's a modern hades x peresphone retelling, where peresphone is a college student who recieves a a marriage proposal from the god of the underworld

sousuke is correcting all the greek mythology the movie gets wrong

and accidentally spoils some of the plot oof

nagisa has tried (and failed) several times to choke the aforementioned swimmer

there's a scene where peresphone is teaching her fiance the art of grocery shopping, and haru (has the remote) pauses and rewinds it for an entire half hour to try and find mackerel in the seafood section

momo ends up jumping haru for the remote

is also terrible with it, he's either got the volume horrifically high or a pitch below human hearing

you clipboard him obviously, and as it goes flying, ryuugazaki catches the remote

he's normal, thankfully

sousuke is about to spoil comment on the plot twist when he glances at the group - everyone is... asleep??

nitori is squished between him and rin, with rin and tachibana flanking haru. uozumi is sprawled across the floor with minami, both of them starfishing. ryuugazaki sits at tachibana's feet on the ground with nagisa snoring on his shoulder. nakagawa is curled up on the floor with his hands under his head aww

swimmer boi's breath catches when he sees you passed out, your back against his legs with your head resting in his lap -- your hand lays on the shoulder of your adorable beetle-raising kouhai, who's snoring away softly in your lap

shit shit shit he's a secret physics nerd but physics class didn't teach him how to Girls

he's 100% unprepared for the way you smile in your sleep and 100% freaking out

yeah knowing you you're probably dreaming of clipboarding someone, but that grin is driving him inSANE

sousuke can't help but almost coo you back to sleep when you stir - and he takes some pics of everyone as well, to send on the group as blackmail material he's such a tsundere ajgajabasvs

he's literally terrified at the thought of accidentally waking you up, and the ground is soft enough, but...

when you wake up and find yourself all comfy on the couch and he's on the floor, he tells you that in your sleepy state, you requested to switch spots as it was getting uncomfortable

lmfaoooo this ain't an exposé i won't be doing my boy sousuke dirty like that but look at you being all oblivious 😌😌

yeah movie nights with iwatobi are a monthly thing now

ever since he aCciDeNtAly sent you guys his schedule, facetiming sei whenever he's free is a part of your routine, he prefers it if it's you calling him while the guys practice

being there during samezuka's practice, even digitally, makes sei so nostalgic and he gets this really s o f t smile it's actually adorable

walking siri (minami's huge cuddly doggie) is a daily ritual, the entire teams walks around the campus in the evening with him no matter what

you're able to introduce madoka to the team about halfway through the year, poor thing was so intimidated in the beginning - she overcomes it quicker than you did, though, mostly because she sees how dorky they are with you

also the boys' training is coming along great, their times are improving faster than you'd imagined - you're celebrating nitori's new time in fact, he's just broken iwashimizu's record when rin enters with the results

nakagawa (freestyle), mizutani (breaststroke), riono (freestyle), rin (freestyle), and minami (butterfly) have all made it in their individual strokes, with momo, nitori, rin and sousuke for medley relay

all four of you - riono, mizutani, nakagawa and you - are silent as everyone applauds

your eyes are tearing up as you remember all the hard work your idiots put in, the late practices, the strict menus, the exercise routines, how they went around taking advice from you, from rin, from coach sasabe...and their gradual but well deserved improvements

ok but you literally would've been pancaked when riono (5"11'), nakagawa (5"10') and mizutani (5"11') pounced on you for a group hug had sousuke (6"1') not been in the way 😌

regionals arrive before you know it, and the next thing you know, iwashimizu is pushing you into the seat next to sousuke on the bus

(nitori called dibs on rin, he's still mad you sat with him last tournament 😭😭)

also did this mans sousuke just...flinch? when you smiled at him??

he's back to his regular form in no time, quick enough for you to doubt you'd seen anything at all - wait, huh? you've been working with athletes who have to keep their bodies in pristine condition for about two years now, you've taken sports med classes, so it's near impossible for you to miss it

"dont slouch" you reprimand, causing the flustered third year to straighten up, alarmed - yeah. that does it for you, he definitely wasn't slouching, it's more like...it's more like his body tended to lean towards his right, almost as if he'd tried not to pressure his left side long enough for it to become a subconscious habit

you remember rin mentioning something about sousuke skipping practice, too

the team jumps into the practice pool, and its events don't exactly do much to calm you

rin is giving you a look you don't even need to decipher - there's something up with sousuke, and he isn't the type of person to just come out and mention it if anything were the matter

you follow your captain's word and ask minami to check the boys' showers for you. there's someone in there, minami tells you, so you wait in the locker room with sousuke's favorite drink

out of the shower, sousuke doesn't cover up his shoulder fast enough - he can't even look you in the eyes, to see your disappointment, the anger for him hiding something like this...he doesn't think he can bear it

you open the drink, knowing his answer, before asking if he'd like it. sousuke smiles a bit at that, before asking why you're not watching everyone else's races

"may i see your shoulder?" you ask instead, and he tells you to return to the rest of the group

the deja vu is hella strong, and you're kneeling on the ground with sousuke on the bench, a hand on his knee "the way rin couldn't get out of the pool last year, you saw that tournament, right? would you have left his side, sousuke? if you were on samezuka then?"

"of course not" is his immediate reply, and you give him a pointed look

that was the last time you'd ever fail to notice that a friend of yours needed help, you had promised yourself, but a year later, you're back at square one, with possibly one of the strongest guys you've ever met in front of you, his hands shaking

you grab them, not knowing what else to do to stop the trembling, before asking, "why? that injury isn't new, why would you sign up for a race like this? what's going on sousuke?"

there's no strong front to keep in front of you, he knows, and by the end of it all there is a raw quality to his voice, reliving his past years, bringing those words out couldn't have been easy, but he's hopeful

you could laugh, even, he's hopeful after all that, enthusiastic as he shares with you his new dream

you're bawling your eyes out and his cheeks are flushed but he feels lighter somehow, finally understanding what people mean when they say that talking is therapeutic

taking your leave, you're not entirely surprised when the medley relay is announced, and all four of your boys stand in line

whether they won or lose didn't matter - hell, you hadn't even glanced at the scoreboard - because it was the most spectacular relay you've ever seen, and you're proud beyond words

did i mention how all of samezuka kept getting glares from the other schools? yeah not only do you guys have a) amazing swimmers but also b) not one, but two godlike managers?!? this has to be illegal??

regionals have a calming effect on the team, even the first years are much more confident in themselves, and there's this silent drive to push forward and get even stronger for nationals

as rin, mizutani, and riono practice for their big moment, you accompany sousuke for one of his appointments, and on your way back, you guys stop by your place and spend hours making yummy (healthy) snacks for everyone

by the time nationals come by, madoka empties her schedule to join you guys - you, momo, sousuke and madoka are sitting in the last four seats (ahjaabs nitori called rin again 😌)

you're going to watch riono, mizutani and rin race as they're the only ones who've made it

oh, speaking of whom, nitori is moping again because it's Rin Is MIA Before A Competition 2.0

your ever responsible, exemplary team captain shows up in the nick of time - and when you ask where he's been (the competitors get a one week club break instead of two, so they've got time to practice), he answers "australia", and you honestly Do Not have the time or energy to try and make sense of that anymore

y'all end up with two wins under your belts, which is a huge step for nationals

sei shows up to cheer for the team as well - you hadn't been able to catch him at regionals - so he's well prepared for the way the team pounces on him

all in all, madoka is satisfied with her experience, you met a beloved alum, rin and riono are getting hounded by scouts, sousuke is looking genuinely happier, the team is totally motivated for next year - it's a win for you

it's actually iwashimizu who reminds everyone about your annual team picnic this year

the whole team pays their respects at riono's shrine ("WILL YOU PRETEND I'M INVISIBLE AGAIN??!? NO PLS YOU GUYS-") before heading off to the site - it's a lakeside this time - and y'all start by assigning bbq duty (literally uozumi and sousuke are the only ones who can cook akabajaks)

there's beach volleyball, fetch with siri, you even planned a bunch of water games but!! the guys literally just race each other the entire time ://, and somewhere between all of that these dumbasses riono and nakagawa manage to go missing

there's this big ass forest surrounding your bbq site and you guys separate into two groups - the first and second years go off to find the two while the third years + madoka watch the site in case they return

now that was fine until an hour passed and no one was back, so you guys take siri and set off as well - the forest is much bigger and more confusing than y'all thought, and your team of four (rin, you, sou and madoka) don't seem to be equipped with survival instincts

you guys run into the first and second years in about half an hour, thankfully, because somehow momo has the most woodsy knowledge than anyone in the group - they still hadn't found the boys though

so here we have a group of about 17 people, walking around the trees aimlessly - it's been another hour, and you're sure if riono and nakagawa haven't been found, they're either a) dead or b) dying

welp, who are you guys to meddle with fate amirite?

especially when there's such an amazing bbq waiting

riono and nakagawa are playing badminton at the site when y'all are back - they'd spent some time at a nearby river because apparently this is a usual picnic spot for their families??

"and you didn't think? to mention this to anyone??"

"we did mention it!!" nakagawa protests "to iwashimizu!"

y'all turn to the man in question (who is found sleeping in the bus) "o-oops?"

iwashimizu has about eight popsicles slipped down his shirt that day

you someone mixes salt into his beloved vanilla milkshake

the team, to your surprise, pulls up with a whole ass cake at the end of day, because rather than being sad for your leave, they've decided to cherish and celebrate the amazing year/s their upperclass(wo)men gave them (minami's words), you can't deny that this team has done a lot for you

I've been a part of the Iwatobi Swim Club for so long now that I don't remember when I joined exactly. It all started when my brother, Aiichiro Nitori, or better known as Ai, told me about a joint practice that they were having. I love to swim and they never let me swim when they are having practice, so Ai said I could tag along and actually get to swim with them.

When I arrived, everyone was already there either doing stretches or already swimming. I immediately ran to the girls' locker room and got into my purple two-piece.

When I was done, I run out, past Ai, Rin, coach, and five other people I didn't know to jump into the pool. I stayed down there for a little while, just swimming about. After a couple of minutes though, I needed air, so I had to come up. When I resurfaced, I saw a handsome boy with ocean blue eyes staring at me. 

Ai came up to the edge, along with his friends, and said, "Everyone, this is my sister, (Y/n)." Everyone gave a confused face but accepted it nonetheless.

"Nice to meet all of you," I said politely while wading around in the pool. Ai and Rin then introduced me to their friends and I found out the attractive one was called Haruka, but everyone calls him Haru. Everyone went about doing their usual thing while I just floated on the water. Suddenly, I felt a presence near me, so I opened my eyes and saw Haru wading next to me. I gave out a little yelp and fell through the water. I instantly resurfaced and saw Haru staring at me, making me blush a light shade at his intense eyes.

"You gave me a heart attack!" I shouted playfully, not actually scolding him. He stared at me and didn't say anything for a few moments. 

He then finally responded with, "Sorry." I looked at him with no expression on my face. 'Does he not like to talk much?' When I snapped out of it, I saw him still staring at me. 

"Was there something you needed?" 

"The water likes you." I gave him a weird look, but before I could respond, he was already swimming away. 'It's a good thing he is good looking and can swim, otherwise, I wouldn't be attracted to him at all.'

I come to the pool after school and see that everyone is already there. 'I got to work on getting here quicker.' I suddenly feel a dull pain in my lower stomach, making me grunt softly. 'Hm, did I eat something bad?' Gou notices me and shouts,"(Y/n), you're late!" 

Nagisa snaps his head in my direction and shouts,"(Y/n), what took you so long?" While he’s shouting that, he runs over and hugs me, almost toppling me over. 

"Nagisa, you might want to let go of (Y/n) before you hurt yourselves," Mother Hen chirps.

"Mako-chan, will you relax? Nothing is going to happen to us!" Nagisa responds. 

"Nagisa, let go of (Y/n)," Haru cuts into the conversation bluntly. Nagisa almost instantly lets go of me at that and apologizes. I reassuringly smile at him, letting him know that it’s okay. 

Gou then decides to yell, "Hurry up, (Y/n)! We've already wasted enough time and we need to start practice!" I nod my head and run to the locker room to get changed.

I put on my top and go to put on my bottoms when I noticed a few drops of blood. 'No, no, no, no! This can't be happening to me! I didn't bring any tampons with me!' Someone knocks on the door and says,"(Y/n)! What is taking you so dang long to get changed?" 

Of course, it’s Gou. 

I put on my regular clothes again and come back out with a pout.

"I um, can't swim today. Sorry," I apologize. 

Gou looks curious for a second, but shakes her head and says, "No! You are going to get in that pool and you are going to practice!" 

I shake my head back at her and reply with, "No, Gou. You don't understand, I can’t." I made sure to emphasize the last word. We have a glare off for a few seconds and the boys don't interject at all. Well, that is until Haru comes up and says, "Let her be, Gou. Come on, (Y/n). I'll walk you home." He then pulls on some clothes and starts dragging me away.

"Who said that you were in charge, Haru? You need to practice! And it’s Kou!" Gou exclaims. He completely ignores her and continues to drag me away. We eventually reach my place where he stops in front of the door and just stares at me. "Why'd you do that?" I ask softly. 

"You almost love to swim as much as me. You wouldn't say you couldn't swim unless there was a valid reason." 

‘I think that is the most I've ever heard him speak at once. That was really nice and considerate of him, though.’

"Yeah, you're right, so thanks for bailing me out," I say while getting my keys out. I unlock the door and start to enter when Haru decides to follow right after me. I don't think much of it since this is something we often do, and just continue to come inside. 

“I'll be right back," I say while making a beeline to my bathroom. He simply nods and makes himself comfortable on my plush couch.

When I finish my business, I come back and sit next to Haru. "Why?" he says abruptly. I jump a little, turn to him, and make a confused face. 

"What do you mean?" We stare at each other for a few moments, before he replies.

"Why couldn't you swim today?" I was afraid he would ask that. I try to play it off as nothing so he wouldn't know the embarrassing truth. "I uh," I trail off. I sadly couldn't think of a lie quick enough. I give a big sigh and finally just admit the truth.

"I'm on my you-know-what."

He looks at me with no expression, which is a usual thing for him, but I can tell he’s confused. I’m the only person who can really read him, besides Makoto and Rin. Even then though, they couldn’t always read him like I can.

I give another large sigh and try to explain another way. ”Mother nature is visiting me.” He seems to still not get it even after that. “It’s a blood moon.” No response. "It's my TOTM." He obviously didn't know that either, so I clarify by saying, "Time Of The Month." He didn’t understand any of my ways of telling him, unfortunately; making me wonder if he’s taken a health class at all.

 I then stand up and practically scream, "I’m on my period, you baboon!" I then realize what I said, sit down, look at him, and whisper, "I am so sorry. I didn’t mean that. You know, girls can get emotional and lose control of their emotions. I really didn't mea-"

I’m suddenly cut off by the handsome fish-boy himself pressing his lips to mine. I kiss back after a few seconds of processing what in the world is going on. He pulls away after a few moments and asks worriedly, at least as worriedly as he can, "Are you in any pain?" 

I put a hand on my stomach with a nod of my head. "My gut is killing me." He nods and instantly gets up, walking towards the kitchen. He comes back with: ice cream, soup, medicine, water, and a couple other things. He drops that stuff off and disappears into my bedroom. He comes back again with: a fuzzy blanket, a heating pad, fuzzy socks, pajamas, a couple of pillows, and movies.

He sits down next to me once again and gets everything situated before relaxing beside me. The movie, (f/m), is on and I already finished eating my ice cream and soup. Haru has me pulled to his chest, all cuddled up in a blanket. Haru keeps giving my face, neck, head, and shoulders kisses at random times throughout the movie, making my heart skip a beat with each kiss. 

After all that, we ended up dating and Nagisa and Gou freaked out and wouldn't stop screaming.

Dancing in The Headlights~ (Natsuya, Ikuya, Asahi, Rin, Aii, Hiyori, Seijuro)

I definitely see this little scenario happening with Natsuya☺️ he will most definitely join her no shame. Even if they’re not the best dancers it doesn’t matter! It’s all about having fun! He might actually be the one to jump on the roof of the car to spin her 🥰 They’re both enjoying the moment, laughing and dancing, having the absolute time of their lives. Nothing else in the world matters right now. he’ll finish it off by dipping her really low then bringing her back up for a longgg kiss. It gets really hot real soon. Also it’s literally midnight mind you, so rip ur neighbors 😆

Ikuya is so startled aww. He has his arms crossed and refuses to make a fool of himself right infront of the house where everyone can see them. So she’ll start it off slow, getting him into the feeling. Soon enough, Ikuya will lose himself in the music, while he’s too flustered to make any of his own moves, he just has his arms around her the whole time, pink cheeks.

Asahi gets so flustered too, but eventually he losens up and starts having fun. I mean it’s just the look on her face! She seems so happy and carefree, how could he not join in? Although he’s super red the whole time 😆 He’s surprisingly a really good dancer!

Rin is someone else who suddenly gets really shy. Like sure this stuff happens in the movies and it’s very romantic (hence why she probably even did it in the first place) but he’s still embarrassed. After much much convincing, he finally gives in, muttering how cheesy she is. He’ll soon lose himself too tho, even singing along 😆 he’s actually having so much fun twirling her and everything. Eventually tho, he’s going to switch the radio to a slow song for them to both catch their breath 💕

Aww baby Aii 🥺 he’s such a shy little boy. He keeps shaking his head, blushing, while she keeps insisting. He’s off in the corner for a bit shyly watching her, until she finally takes his hand and drags him into the middle, twirling him around and making him dance. He’ll still be super shy and stiff the whole time, but he’ll smile knowing that she’s having this much fun. She’ll start poking and tickling him, and that’s probably all the real action your getting out of him

Hiyori would be a mix of Aii and Ikuya. Originally he’ll get pretty startled, but then he’ll get super shy and blushy. However, he can see how happy this makes her, so he’ll give her a few twirls. That’s not enough for her though as she wants Hiyori to have a good time too! So she pulls him to her and begins swaying, eventually spinning round and round with him. He’ll end up having so much fun too, It’ll send his glasses flying

Seijuro, like Natsuya, is totally down for this too. He also lets out a “HELL YEAH!” Before jumping out and joining her. Sei is a really good dancer too! They’re just totally vibing~ He’ll show her the time of her life, spinning, twirling, swaying to the beat, even lifts her up high in the air. Also up for some of those bold moves too if ya catch my drift~ To him, the only music he hears is her laughter🥺 Anyone driving by can totally see that these two are having A BLAST. Okay irrelevant but Rihanna is a fucking queen I love her

And he’s brought with him some chaos

*cue the s/os packing their bags and renting a vacation house*

I imagine many many binge watching and movie nights

And the boys can NEVER agree on what to watch

Rin likes to suggest hardcore action but we all know he really just wants to watch soft romance, forbidden love, the cliches~

It’s funny because Souske knows that too bahaha so he’s always just giving Rin the “yea right” look

Anyways Seijuro decides on a horror marathon???

Don’t know why because all these boys may act tough but most of them were shitting their pants during the movie 😭

Everyone hides behind Sousuke and Makoto bc their so big?

BUT POOR MAKOTO HES LOST HIS SOUL HAHA

Anyways they all just end up watching Trolls instead ajsjsjsj

in the midst, Momo falls asleep and we all know how exaggerated his motions are

He ends up somehow smacking Rin in the back of the head with a nearby pillow

Rin in return gets pretty pissed and hits him back

Then Nagisa suddenly gets this mischievous idea, reaching for a pillow and targeting Rei

He accidentally ends up hitting Hiyori instead and poor boy’s glasses end up flying

He blindly feels around for them bumping into Ikuya, who then knocks over into Natsuya, who bumps into Nao....

Yea you see the domino effect

At this point Haru’s found refuge at the pool outside

It ends up in a huge ass pillow fight anyways you can imagine 🤯

With Seijuro triumphant as he stands tall, hands on hips and his voice booming in victory

After that they all pass tf out right there on the living room floor

I hope you realize that I’m coming up with these headcanons as we go, I have no idea what I’m typing

The next morning the boys wake up to Momo singing hair up

And the smell of Makoto burning the toast

Aii trying his best to use surrounding pillows to cover his ears and nose in the hope of falling back asleep

Almost accidentally ends up suffocating himself until Rin and Sousuke had to come to the rescue

It was not a good morning

Seijuro has everyone wake up at 5 in the morning for a run

The neighborhood watching 14 hot boys dying jogging on the streets like 😳

Rin really just wouldn’t dress up, saying it was childish and embarrassing, but deep down he really did

Gou and his Kouhais finally got him into it tho

And now he’s a vampire too 😎

And Kisumi’s kinda pressed

Because everyone still believes he’s a magician (someone please tell me they know what im referencing ik this one anon got it 😰)

Anyways I’m not gonna go through to telling you the costumes of all the characters, that would make this post wayyy too long so I’m leaving it up to your imagination~

Ok ok so next scene

We catch Nagisa and a reluctant Gou at the side of the house, opening the electric box

Mmmm they’re up to no good

Natsuya’s inside casually sippin’ on his drink, with a sly smile, knowing what’s about to go down

Momo’s somehow apart of it too but he’s completely oblivious to it

And well Rei...they definitely had to tape his mouth shut

He wasn’t informed

All of a sudden the lights go out-

Cue the shrills and screams

Oh gosh you can already imagine

Nagisa and Gou quickly sneak off to the back, making their way swiftly back inside to join the chaos

It doesn’t just stop there...

The night is full of ✨chaos✨

Eventually Nagisa gets caught and gets a nice good scolding

Free! Boys Reunion

Ok so I believe that it’s Nagisa and Rei’s idea to have this biggg get together

And everyone else hops in on it

So I imagine a bbq or cookout or something like that at the park ~

With Sousuke making the good stuff 😋 (ok but Sousuke barbecuing? I just died)

Natsuya not too far, with one hand for sippin’ on his beer and swinging another arm around his new bestie, Rin, telling Nao all about his time in Australia with him

Nao just smiling and nodding, while taking sips of his own drink

Makoto being the sweet heart he is helping everyone around 🥺

Haru too busy being mesmerized by the large, freshwater lake.

Momo jumping around excited, pointing out all types of species of bugs and beetles, Nitori having no idea why he’s being dragged along with

Asahi and Kisumi getting into petty competitions, with Ikuya shaking his head in the back before quietly joining Haru by the lake.

Hiyori was about to follow suit, but then Asahi swung an arm around his shoulder, stopping him and convincing Hiyori to join in on the fun.

It’s not like poor Hiyori had a choice tho, he ended up being dragged away with Asahi and Kisumi anyways

They find out poor Hiyori is actually pretty ticklish...and oh no mercy

Ikuya comes back to the group out of curiosity and Asahi is suddenly looming over Ikuya, face ominous

“So Ikuya...you still ticklish?...”

“A-Asahi! Don’t come near me you weirdo!”

So anyways there’s a whole tickle/play fight happening on this end

Kisumi’s just rocking back and forth on his feet, smiling at the events before him, and poor poor Hiyori still hunched over, asking himself why he ever got involved with these people in the first place

Even Gou ends up showing, bringing some dishes, and to lend Sousuke an extra hand in preparing food

Anyways everyone gets super hyped up when Sousuke announce that the food is ready

Momo is practically bouncing up and down, unable to contain his eagerness on receiving a plate of Gou’s homemade food.

Little does he know she only had time to cater XD

So Momo is in his own little world and accidentally knocks over some sauce on the table....which ends up on Sousuke’s shoes...

Nitori nervously trying to point it out to Momo as the boy is still oblivious to the large figure towering over him, face growing dark by the second....

And when Momo finally does turn around and opens his eyes...oh boy...

So he ends up backing up...but the poor boy just can’t catch a break today, as he bumps into someone’s plate....Rin’s plate...

And is he angry..his perfectly good bbq on the ground, becoming a feast for ants

The entire scene looks like a bunch of adult babies at a school playground

Anyways so while everyone else is enjoying their food, looking on at Natsuya and Nao in annoyance as they are at drinking age and Nastuya is taking gooddd advantage of that, Nagisa and Rei are huddled in the corner~

They want this to be the best reunion party ever before everyone has to go their separate ways again

Nagisa’s eye catches the cat and mouse chase in the background and he suddenly lights up with an idea, Rei catching on.

“Hey guys! Let’s play a big game of hide n seek tag!”

Everything looks blankly at each other before going 😏

And so the game commences~

All I have to say is that this game gets chaotic asf, nobody even knows who’s it anymore

So it ends with everyone collapsing on the ground, out of breath

Meanwhile Seijuro arrives with some bags over his shoulder as he takes in the scene before him and laughing out loud

“So, you all dead?”

Haru is a mermaid. Ok no but I really do see him as a sea food chef

Makoto is a fireman. Other than that, I see him being a kindergarten teacher. And he’s that one male teacher that the rest of the staff and students crush on.

I see Nagisa working at a carnival stand?? I don’t know if that’s actually considered a job but ummm I see him being something out of a typical children’s book like an explorer. I just see him going on a safari lolll in a Jeep with the hat and binoculars everything.

Rei is a scientist. Period. He needs to put his theories to use somewhere. That and then become a librarian for his retirement.

COP RIN DOES THINGS TO ME I DONT THINK ANYTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE SAID🥴 or a hot math teacher in his little ponytail and glasses with the sleeves of his white button down shirt rolled up and tucked into grey slacks and you can see how much I’m getting into this....
