I know it is the end of the spooky season but would any of your OCs enjoy dressing up for Halloween and what in your mind would their costumes be?

so before I get into it, fun fact: my Alliance develops a (yet unnamed) week-long celebration, and the final day of it is. Halloween-like, I guess? or maybe Day of the Dead is a more accurate comparison. It's a celebration of remembrance for their fallen, and over the generations it changes to be more about the games and fun, stories and hanging around friends and family, since the Alliance disappears from the rest of the galaxy so doesn't. really. have any more battles

anyway, the final day started as people dressing in a way to call back on friends or family they'd lost, usually in battle. but as time went on, they got more extravagant and creative about it. depictions of life and death, and/or soldiers, are still the most common types of costumes, but it's also become common for especially young kids to just have fun with theirs

The ones who would enjoy dressing up:

Qizulth: I can see him going for something depicting death, maybe a Grim Reaper! (or whatever's similar enough for Star Wars) I think he'd have fun with coming up with a nice robe design and think the scythe was neat, if a bit clunkier than he's used to (and let's face it, he'd get a kick out of scaring kids before throwing candy at them)

Max: She already paints her face as a skull, so hey. why not go all out and go for a skeleton?? she might even manage to drag Azan into it and get her to at least wear a pair of cat ears or something

Veira: They would have SO MUCH FUN with Halloween okay. I can see them dressing as Rosalina from Mario if they knew what it was - I don't know why, it just seems so fitting. But for things they DO know, they'd probably just go with like. a general princess sort of vibe. they'd especially enjoy doing their own makeup, and they'd Totally do something like this:

Terrin: she'd be one of those moms who has a costume to match her kids' ones. when they were little, Atten and Araa probably would have wanted to dress as animals (maybe even an akk dog and massiff respectively, since that's the types of dogs they have), so Terrin would probably go with a beastmaster type vibe

mmMMM BIG BRAIN I LOVE IT <333 Can you imagine how touch starved he would be at that point tho? Like considering that he likely wouldn't let anyone else touch his adeptal / avian features and he keeps them hidden,,,,

So imagine the first time that Xiao trusts you enough to even show you his wings and his claws n his fangs, he's a little hesitant, but he knows that he can trust you. And you look so awed by it, none of the fear or trepidation he had been expecting on your face at all. That alone had been enough to surprise him, the way you curiously peered at him ––though still with a bit of shyness, given that this was after all Xiao in his illuminated beast form, which held a different weight compared to his usual human form–– and looked at him with such a starry gaze.

But what nearly sends him toppling from the balcony of the inn is when you quietly ask if you can touch his wings. The request is enough to stun him into silence because–– well, he hadn't been expecting this. At all. He had been prepared to face terror and had readied himself to accept this was his last meeting with you. This... it felt too good to be true.

But he realizes a bit late that you had taken his surprised silence as rejection, when he zones back into the conversation to see you waving your hands about, almost frantically apologizing for overstepping some adeptal bounds or whatever. The sight is undoubtedly endearing, and to his slight embarrassment, Xiao can feel his wings flutter.

With a growing flush, he gently extends one of his wings to you, taking your hand in his and gently guiding you to run your fingers through the feathers without dislodging or tugging them. There's a chirp that he has to force down when he sees you gasp at how soft yet strong his feathers are, and Xiao wonders how much more his heart can take.

And as you keep petting and carding your fingers through his wings so heart-wrenchingly gently, Xiao can feel his shoulders slump with every growing second, the soft touch enough to have his eyelids droop. One of his clawed hands find yours, gently pulling you away from his wing before you could actually put him to sleep, and instead gently lifting your knuckles to his lips, pressing to them the lightest of kisses in hopes of conveying his gratitude. He's careful not to nick your skin with his sharper fangs, though he sees the way you shiver minutely when they graze your fingers.

His mind is slightly hazed from the relief and relaxation, but the corners of his lips instinctively quirk up anyway.

what happened to yanan? (his injury) i haven’t heard any news on him lately, unless it’s the same problem that sat him out of naughty boy promotions

he hurt his hand recently during rehearsals!! we still have no idea what illness affected him during naughty boy but it’s possible that his current hand injury is a flare up from critical beauty era?? but it’s still not confirmed as it was only briefly mentioned in the vlive and it doesn’t seem as if he’s injured enough to be ruled out of promotions, so i’m guessing that he’s just strained his previous injury and it’s causing him pain, hence the chopsticks situation :(( but yeah no official statement by cube, so he’ll probably be continuing promotions!!

hola! vi tu post acerca de hacer gifs sin usar screencaps y me preguntaba si tendrias un link a un tutorial? o si podrias hacer uno con screenshots de photoshop pq estoy medio perdida uwu

¡hola, anon! traté de buscar uno, pero no encontré ninguno con este método ajkdsa así que debajo del read more te dejo un tutorial sobre cómo yo hago los gif !! es bastante sencillo una vez que le agarras la mano con intento y error. 

nota: antes que nada, la versión de photoshop que yo uso es cs5 — creo que es la primera que incorporó la opción de timeline (que es necesario para este método). cs3 sé que no la tiene, pero creo que las versiones que le siguieron a cs5 si. 

1. una vez que estamos en photoshop, vamos a archivo > abrir.

2. buscamos la carpeta donde tengamos el vídeo del que querramos hacer gifs y lo abrimos, como si fuera cualquier otro archivo (un psd, una foto, etcetc). 

[ nota importante: el vídeo debe ser sí o sí en formato mp4 ya que ps no soporta otro tipo de formatos, como lo sería avi, mkv o demás. por lo general, con lo descargado vía youtube no deberías tener problemas mas si lo que quieres es hacer gifs de una serie o película, te recomiendo usar  x media recode para convertir el vídeo en el formato correcto, el programa es super rápido y fácil de usar. ]

una vez que lo hagamos, tendrías que ver lo siguiente: el vídeo abierto y es muy muy importante que tengas la timeline (si no no funcionará este método). si no tienes la timeline, asegúrate de ir a ventana > y que la opción de animación tenga un ✔️ 

3. lo primero que tienes que hacer apenas abras el vídeo, es darle click derecho a la capa 1 (puedes ver que tiene un icono de película) y escoger la opción de convertir en objeto inteligente (se transformará en el otro icono). esto es así para poder editar la capa a gusto y antojo luego !! muy importante.

4. ahora, ¿cómo seleccionamos solo la parte que queremos para hacer un gif y que no sea tooodo el vídeo? ¡fácil! puedes ir viendo el vídeo con la flechita azul / línea roja vertical, la mueves hasta llegar a la parte que deseas. y selecciones solo lo deseado con los cursores azules. la mayoría de las veces los vídeos son largos, por lo que recomiendo hacer zoom (con el cosito de las montañitas que marqué), para tener más precisión a la hora de elegir lo que se va a giffear, y para que no sea ni muy largo, ni muy corto. otra cosa que es de ayuda, es que una vez que estás posicionado sobre el momento indicado, puedes darle click al cosito de las tres líneas y ahí podrás encontrar las opciones ‘ definir inicio / final de área de trabajo ’ — esto puede ayudarte a mover los cursores azules más rápido.

5. para recortar el gif, lo que yo hago es utilizar la herramienta de selección (cuidando de tener la opción proporción fija más la anchura/altura en 1x1) y seleccionar la zona que quiero recortar. luego voy a imagen > recortar / después otra vez imagen > tamaño de imagen y selecciono 80px. pero tú puedes elegir el tamaño que más te guste: 70px, 75px, 100px, etcetc. 

una vez que quede el icon, le agregamos sharpen / enfoque para que quede más definido y de mejor calidad. para eso, simplemente vas a filtro > enfocar > enfoque suavizado, donde la mayoría suele usar 500% de cantidad + 0,3 de radio + ✔️ más exacto (o lo que te parezca mejor),,, o tu otra opción es usar una    action que hay muchas en el tag y muy bonitas. yo, por ejemplo, en esta ocasión usé una action. te va a quedar una cosa así:

puede que cuando lo hayas recortado ves que te quedó muy chica la imagen o muy grande, o quieres moverla porque no está bien centrada. para eso, solamente le das a ctrl+t (cuidando de tener seleccionadas todas tus capas del gif, que en mi caso son dos). y ya ahí lo puedo agrandar / achicar / mover sin perder calidad ya que estoy trabajando con un objeto inteligente. 

ahí mismo le agregas un psd para que se vea más bonito, textura, etcetc. todo arriba de las capas.

9. una vez creas que esté perfecto ¡solo queda guardarlo! estas suelen ser mis settings:

una vez que lo guardas, puedes continuar haciendo más gifs del mismo vídeo. solo debes mover los cursores azules nuevamente para la nueva sección del vídeo que quieras hacer gif y listo. como dije antes, puedes mover la capa con libertad o agrandarla/achicarla acorde a como quieras que se vea. 

11. lo único es que con este método, todos los gifs se verán rápidos con una velocidad en promedio de 0,03 / 0,04. esto puede que no te moleste, o si, pero por lo general son un poquito rápidos:

 lo que yo hago es volver a abrir todos los gif icons una vez que he acabado. le doy play en el cuadrito de animación para fijarme si no hay algún glitch y luego selecciono todas las capas del gif y donde decía 0,04 le doy click a la flechita negra y cambio la velocidad. en este caso puse 0,08 porque tiene muy pocas capas, pero normalmente la velocidad que prefiero es 0,05. 

[ otra nota: puedes hacer una action de este proceso para que sea más rápido y no se haga tan tedioso ]

el resultado final sería este:

ajdksa, si llegaste hasta acá ¡felicidades! espero haber sido de ayuda y que se haya podido entender mejor con imágenes, aunque soy un queso explicando. se ve a primeras como un proceso medio complicado, pero como dije antes: es cuestión de práctica y fijarte que te funciona mejor y que no. en lo personal, a mi me resultó muuucho mejor porque no me gusta hacer screencaps + mi computadora tardaba mil años en cargar los screencaps a través del otro método + soy perezosa rip. de este modo, salen igual gifs de buena calidad y e manera más sencilla~
