hi its me the one that sent the long ass post on the new malec fic, and tbh i dont really mind the diff a lot (unlike what it seemed in the post .. uh i read it again and it comes off like i do, it really was just a prefernce like you said) BUT i am just so glad that you were able to write a malec based fic (or will write) after the traumatic TLND experience (which since i was there when it was all happening i would have understood if you would have wanted even a longer break to write them again) , that i would take anything. and tbh i imagine alec as mathew daddario (like with his face) in all alec fics but with his sister's eyes (like have you seen alexandra daddario she is really gorgeous - imagine my surprise when i found out matt is her younger brother) but i totally got sebastian stan as well as a fancast, (but like i imagine him for a older ver of alec u know, anyways)

aside from this, about the hieght diff, and eyes, i think its just because i read them when i was teen, like literally when i was growing up that i just prefer more fics with them but there were sooo less fics with book malec or atleast ones that did get it right that i was sooooo happy when i read your malec fics!! srsly like it was a dream come true considering i have been in this fandom for so long like completely unrelated but the way i silent-screamed (bc otherwise my parents would have thought me crazy 😂) when i found out malec got married in the books ... BUT i have read a lot of show!malec fics, i cannot tell you how obsessed i was and am with matt daddario , like his humor his range amazing all of it but so less fics got them right like none of them like you do, so either works for me as long as you are writing the fics.

i am very excited that i can write malec again too and honestly it's really just about inspiration and finding a story that you really want to share with the rest of the world. What have to sophie stans said now lol? Also what has the actress said that doesn't sit right with you?

So, a lot of her fans are arrogant and constantly saying terrible things about Madison, wishing her death, hoping Kevin will cheat on her with Sophie, calling her a puke, even downplaying her bulimia and almost death experience. They're also going as far as saying mean things about Caitlin herself and basically spamming and bullying their way with the show's and cast's social media so they will like their tweets about Kophie. There is this group of friends on twitter and they're completely obnoxious, they tweet mean things all the time and now whenever someone posts anything they're always like "WHERE IS SOPHIE?".

Alexandra has given me the impression she's not that better than those fans either, because the other day Justin asked people what they thought of Kevin and Madison on instagram and she commented something completely changing the subject to Sophie and ignoring Madison/Caitlin. On her current TV show, Virgin River, there is a love triangle among Mel (her character), Jack and Charmaine and she was joking that she hoped Charmaine would move away with her and Jack's children. Now I don't know if you're familiar with that show and honestly I don't even bother to watch it anymore, but the whole story is that Jack had a casual relationship with Charmaine for a while (I think it was two years?), but she developed feelings for Jack and he didn't reciprocate them, but kept sleeping with her knowing she hoped that would eventually change. And during this entire time he was hanging out with Mel, but he didn't make a move on her, he would flirt with Mel and then go to Charmaine for sex and she ended up getting pregnant. When she found out she sort of freaked out and was worried and considered leaving the town and raising the baby by herself. She ended up changing her mind on season 2, and the writers tried to make her a villain in order to be an obstacle to Mel and Jack, they changed a lot of things about her personality and behavior, but even so I don't think she was as bad as the writers and fans make it seem. A lot of her behavior was justified because Jack is just the epitome of a mediocre man at best, he has been all about Mel since day one but he would still go to Charmaine, he says he loves his children (it turned out to be twins) and he barely shows any excitement about them, he even tries to play cop and go talk to drug dealers etc and risk his own life when he has two children in the way... ANYWAY, you get the point. A lot of Charmaine's attitude could be explained by her awkward situation, loneliness, hormones and everything she is dealing with and handling all of it and her high-risk pregnancy basically all by herself. It's just that the writers wanted to bring some female rivalry in order prop a basic man, but it doesn't take a genius to see what they did and know how unfair that was and that both characters and Lauren (the actress that plays Charmaine) deserved more. 

So Alexandra joking about her leaving the town with the twins and completely ignoring and failing to show some respect and support to her fellow actresses and their characters, considering she spent a lot of time with Lauren and knows Caitlin in person, is just... Disappointing. And she's even talked about how Jack and Mel get married and have children in the books that the show is based on, she knows her character is the protagonist, Mel and Jack are the main couple on the show, that she is safe and her character's story and her romance with Jack are guaranteed, it wouldn't have hurt to try to show some support for an actress that was clearly done dirt by the writers. Specially because they're also actresses and she's been in a similar position before, I've never watched The Walking Dead, but from what I've known she played a temporary love interest for the protagonist, even though the main relationship of the show was the guy and another woman’s. So she knows how it feels like to be in the 'middle' of the main couple or to play a new love interest in the middle of a show's run, when the audience is divided part of it is already attached to previous relationships and not willing to give a new actress/character/romance a chance and you have to work hard to convince them and have them warm up to your and your story... I was expecting her to show more empathy towards them. 

And now she is constantly posting fanmade content regarding Kevin and Sophie, the new season of Virgin River was released NOT EVEN A MONTH ago, the show has been renewed, she was or is still filming its third season, I checked and most of the recent stuff she's tagged on are about Mel, Mel and Jack and VIRGIN RIVER as a whole and she is specifically looking for and posting about Kevin and Sophie. AND NOW, of all moments. She could've done it on season 4, when Kevin was single, she actually got to show up and Sophie was mentioned a few times. Why is she doing it NOW, when the show she currently stars on has a new season, is renewed, being filmed and generally thriving? And This Is Us is in a totally different place, with Kevin being engaged to Madison, Caitlin being promoted to series regular after committing to it for four years and the two characters about to become parents of twins? And she knows they won't end up together, so why is focusing on Kophie and not Virgin River all of a sudden? And she is THE PROTAGONIST there and she knows Mel and Jack are ENDGAME. It just comes across as greedy, calculated and insensitive and like she’s not content with what she already has. 

And Caitlin is so laid-back, she barely posts anything, she rarely gives interviews, she only talks and posts about Madison when she actually is involved in the story, she is working crazy hours as much as the rest of the cast in the middle of a PANDEMIC and when she has a baby that is not even one yet (btw, Caitlin and Mandy deserve some serious applause for balancing all of it with motherhood and pregnancy)... She deserves more respect from people, specially from someone that can relate to her as an actress, woman, mother etc. It's also not even a situation where she misses the cast, because she could've shown it by commenting on different pictures and wishing them well, she didn't have to specifically comment on something about Kevin and Madison's relationship and ignoring Madison/Caitlin and trying to change the subject to herself, she could've said something like "I have a soft spot for Kophie, but these two look cute and I'm excited to see more of you and Cait!", there are a lot of ways she could've handled the situation better while still being sensitive and acknowledging Caitlin's importance. It isn't even like she was reminiscing about her old characters and TV shows either, because she is only posting about This Is Us.

Anyway, I'm not saying they have a feud or Alexandra is the worst person in the planet or anything, but lately she is coming off as opportunist and selfish to me. It just seems that she fails to understand the fact she's not part of something anymore and have some humility and show appreciation for someone other than herself. AND SHE IS CURRENTLY STARRING A SHOW THAT'S BEEN THRIVING AND RENEWED!!!!!!!!!! So actions like these just give the impression that one show where she is the star and her happy ending is basically guaranteed is just not enough for her, that she wants everything and can’t even respect other people’s places. And that absolutely doesn't sit right with me.

album review

being young has its ups and downs. on one hand, the real pressures of life have not presented themselves quite yet. you are expected to be simply enjoy living and being a kid before true the hardship (ironically put considering the subject matter of this album) and horrors of being a human step into the light, as they inevitably do. On the other, they are the most confusing years we navigate. Identity, emotions, puberty, what it takes to find and hold onto one’s own sense of self. This often easier said than done. We experiment, sex, drugs, rock and roll (fuck yea) and do what it takes for not only others to like who we present ourselves to be, but for us to like ourselves as well. speaking from experience, as well as the shared experiences of many, the ages of 16-25 are an entirely much too confusing whirl. the soul searching cuts deep, whether we are aware of it or not, for better or for worse. this is incredibly evident in the mystery-shrouded land of cape god. 

the second, full length studio album, cape god, from canadian songstress allie x (alexandra hughes) is a wildly original and both beautiful and terrifyingly all too real account of a mix of self-preservation AND self-exploration, that takes place within liminal space (named by allie as cape god). Released under twin music, hughes’ label that she holds most of her career under, this record is a 12 track account of the young human and fairly self-reflective experience(s). according to allie x, this is her most personal and proud body of work yet, and boy does it show. NOT to say this record is superior to her other releases (her debut ep collxtion I from 2015 is a pop masterpiece, sorry i am letting my stan show), but this is a standout work among hughes’ discography not only in the sense that she embraces a slightly new (for her, which is still debatable) and highly conceptualized sound of alternative dark-pop, but her ability to tell a story that doesn’t feel superficial or simply trying to appease the commercial world of top 40 radio, cookie cutter pop. it shows now her ability to come and go from cape god as necessary, being more comfortable with who she ism enough to release an entire work based on this confusing time-chunk in her life.

i’ve got to say, one of my favorite cuts from this record is the opening track, fresh laundry. produced by oscar görres and james ghaleb, allie sings of nostalgia and a sense of longing for a time that no longer exists via the scent of freshly cleaned laundry, over rhythmic and crow-calling synths. when this initially was released as the first promotional single for cape god, it took me a while to accept the sudden change in sound and aesthetic choice by allie towards a grungier and more alternative vision. but one day, it clicked. and i was hooked. it makes so much sense for her, looking back at her previous works, her post-ceding (not a word, now it is) ep titled super sunset is unrecognizable in a sense (still very good, check that one out too), and almost feels as though something was holding allie x back from who she wanted to be. and damn i am so happy shes finding her niche. some other great cuts from this record are the (probably pop-iest cut) sarah come home, love me wrong (queer kids unite), featuring my boy troye sivan, and the AMAZING susie save your love, featuring the very talented mitski. also super duper party people is a banger (that bass line are you kidding me??). the tail end of this record really flaunts the emotion of miss x, and she does not hold back, as is hard to do in cape god i could only imagine. In life of the party, almost as a compliment to super duper party people, allie recounts of using substances to be herself around people who unfortunately are not her real friends, and use and abuse the f out of her, but she cannot bring herself to mind, because this attention gives her a purpose and sense of life, regardless of whether she knows it is truly wrong to accept the way she is being treated. while this track isn’t my favorite sonically, it is important. the repetition of the chorus meant to burn into the listeners ear, emphasizing the important to allie of feeling accepted by these equally hurt people projecting their insecurities on this girl who is still finding herself. (allie, i hope you don’t vibe with those people anymore :/ ). In madame x, i am taking a shot in the dark when i say i ~believe~ it is about drugs, and the comfort they bring, NOT the madonna album of the same title (hehe, a gorgeous track nonetheless). 

i think we all have our own cape god, somewhere in our brains, and this record is an interesting look into how one individual (miss allie x) is still dealing with and tweaking the psyche we control a meat suit with, in the dreamscape liminal world we all possess (at least, I know i do). This record is very smart. is it commercial? not in the slightest. but it is beautiful and raw and for me, does exactly what music is suppose to do, be that vessel. allie once said in a promotional video for this album that these this is the music she could never quite find the words for, AND IM SO HAPPY SHE DID. personal biases aside as an admitted allie x fan of a hot ass second, this is a crazy original work that scares, delights, and intrigues me. she also released some SICK visuals for this era, check it the fuck out, you will not be disappointed.

🌿My favorite movies are movies with action, but I’m a sucker for romance so here are some of my top favorites, (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle [V:2017], Crazy Rich Asians, The Meg, Skyscraper, Charlie's Angels [V:2019], Avengers movies, Spiderman Movies and so much more...)

🌿My classes for this semester are English Honors, Algebra 1B, Health, Apush —- (when I do graduate I hope to go to med school and become a psychiatrist)

🌿 You’ll get to know more about me as we go on but now it’s time to get into the writing aspect of this blog.... 😌

Writer & Author

I have been writing for as long as I can remember, but it was til fourth grade where my love for writing truly started to blossom.

We had a decrisption writing assignment— this memory I always remember clearly and I supposed that’s due to the amount of detail that went into it.

We needed to write imagery, about a photo we choose from a magazine or article, and I choose this building a modern one in the city -- this picture was taken during the night in the rain.

At first, I was hesitant writing had never been my strong suite up to this point, in fact, I hated writing... But hey I needed a good grade so I suck it up and wrote.

Don't expect I was writing absolute Shakespeare because to be fair I was in fourth grade so what 8-9 years of age. But out of all the pieces of writing I did at that point in time, this one changed something within me it was a switch that was lifted... And when it was my turn to share with my class, at the end my teacher, and language art specialist, applaud me. As to the best of my abilities, I was able to capture that picture and teleport, everyone, to that location I made sure to use the color palette to my advantage, from memory I wrote the feeling of rain, and from the abyss of the night sky, I captured that moment.

From there on my love for writing only grew, and it's still growing from all I learn to write from all genres of literature, my passion each day only gets stronger.

My writing is unique in the sense of puzzles I write with clues weaved within the sentences -- the tiniest details can't be left untouched everything is important.

Description and detail, are my top pride and joy, vocabulary grows, day by day.

In the end, writing holds a special place in my heart, these characters, and storylines I have created will be moments in time, that will be always remembered.

And to you all, I hope you join to read one of my stories who knows maybe in this library you'll find a new book you'll like.

🌺 Well guy’s that basically it, in the end I hope this post gives you a better idea on who I am as a person. I’m happy to be here and am really excited to dive into the community of Tumblr—-

To cap off, what this blog will basically look like —- For me I’ll be using this blog to post my writing and new works here. I’ll also use this blog to communicate with more of my readers and followers anyone is welcome to join.

* ⌞ʾ⁎ ⊰ adria arjona, cis female, she/her ⊱ i think i just saw ANITA MORENO walk across trafalgar square, singing to YO PERREO SOLA ( BAD BUNNY ). you know, the TWENTY-FIVE year old SEAMSTRESS? people claim that they are just like ANITA from WEST SIDE STORY. it must be because they are LOYAL and OUTSPOKEN as well… though i could be wrong. all i know for sure is that they live at PETERSBURG apartment.⌝

hello hello, here i come with my second child !! i’m puerto rican, so west side story was my introduction to musical theatre, and anita has always been one of my favorite characters. this intro is very all over the place, but i’m super excited to be writing her, so hmu if you wanna plot !!

her full name is ana josefina del carmen moreno rivera. disregard her supposed name in the show. i love wss, but it’s time to get rid of all those latinx stereotype ( yes, we have a lot of names but not that many ).

she was born in san juan, puerto rico, and moved to new york city when she was 12. her parents were struggling economically. work was hard to find and they had four mouths to feed ( anita being the oldest ), and new york promised more jobs and better salaries.

at first, she was optimistic about her new life in the big apple. she was bored with life in her little island and ( like many other puerto ricans ) saw america as the land of opportunity. she quickly realized just how wrong she was.

things weren’t easy, breezy, beautiful in new york. she became disenchanted with the american dream, and grew up angry and resentful as she watched her parents work their asses off and were paid a fraction of what their white coworkers got.

she realized that as long as her skin wasn’t white, as long as she had an accent, as long as her name was anita, she wouldn’t fit into her new home.

basically, take “america” and throw it in the trash.

she decided she wouldn’t go out of her way to fit in. she was never the kind of person who would change to make others comfortable. she wouldn’t make herself smaller to appease those around her. she’s unapologetically herself and she’s damn proud of that.

as the oldest, it was anita’s job to help around the house. she often took care of her siblings while their parents worked, making sure they were all well fed and out of danger. and, as soon as she was old enough, she went to work.

she was a maid, a waitress, a babysitter, an usher. she handed out flyers at the park. she answered phones at a call center. you name it, she’s probably done it. anything to lessen her parents’ burden.

getting a job as a seamstress was a blessing; she was skilled and passionate at what she did. her mother taught her to sew when she was still a girl, and it’s what’s kept her afloat all these years.

she met the sharks in her early teens, and she’s forever grateful to them. she met a group of people who made her feel like she belonged. she didn’t care that they were a gang; they needed to protect themselves from those who saw them as outsiders.

she fell in love with bernardo in her teens. that has never changed and she’s sure it never will, but they clash constantly, breaking up and getting back together. she adores him, but she also wants to hit him with a chair sometimes.

at the moment she’s enjoying the single life.

tw sexual assault: she’s always enjoyed the sharks’ protection, but at 16 it became clear to her that she needed to protect herself as well. she was walking home late one night after the restaurant where she was working had closed, when three boys surrounded her and cornered her in an alley. she knew what they had in mind, but she just froze. her body couldn’t react to what was happening. at the very last minute, it did, and she made enough of a racket to scare them off. she ran back home. she vowed never to depend on anyone else to save her.

she graduated high school and started working full time at the shop, practically running it. it was her life. a few years ago, she heard from one of her coworkers that someone they knew was opening a shop in london, and anita jumped at the opportunity. she’d outgrown new york. plus, she’d always wanted to travel, but never had the money. this was the perfect chance.

anita’s a taurus, with maybe an aries rising. jury’s still out.

she’s always the mom friend of the group. she’ll nag you and force you to eat your vegetables, drink water and use moisturizer.

she loves to dance, she constantly begs her friends ( especially maria ) to go out with her. she’s convinced there’s nothing that can’t be fixed by a night out with the girls.

she can recreate pretty much any article of clothing by just looking at it; she doesn’t need a pattern. you see a dress you like at some shop? can’t afford it? anita will make it for you.

her apartment is full of plants. all kinds. she’s got a green thumb and she’ll yell at you for thinking succulents are easy to take care of.

she has a small shoplifting problem. it’s nothing major. promise.

she’s a huge bad bunny stan. that might sound like it’s not important, but it is, to me.
