He finds solace in the softness of your cheeks, especially after a long, strenuous day.

Though he admires your resilience, Kei never pinches your cheeks hard or bites them, even if you tell him you don't feel pain.

You find him staring at you with admiration and affection whenever he caresses your cheeks.

But his favorite is to shower your cheeks with soft kisses.

He teases you by pinching your cheeks. No, wait, he teases you regardless but likes to pinch your cheeks while teasing.

Sotetsu doesn't say it out loud, but he can't resist the softness of your cheeks. They are a stress reliever for him, but he doesn't want to show you that soft side or soft expression yet, so he likes to smirk while he plays with your chubby cheeks.

Sometimes, he likes to help apply moisturizer to your cheeks, just so he can pinch them when he rubs circles on them. But most of all, he likes to hear your giggles when he does so.

He finds comfort in the simple act of caressing your soft cheeks. Who knew that was all it took to calm him down? Yakou sure didn't until now.

Even though you tell Yakou you don't feel pain if he pinches or bites your cheeks, he doesn't want to risk hurting your chubby cheeks. So, he is always gentle with you.

Sometimes, Yakou likes to fall asleep while gently rubbing your cheeks. It helps him calm down to the point where he gets sleepy.

When he first sees your cheeks, he is immediately tempted to pinch them but doesn't out of respect. But then you give him permission, and Ginsei is more than happy to lightly touch your cheeks, albeit with shyness.

Despite your resilience, he always touches you gently. From caresses to cupping to lightly pinching, he loves the softness of your cheeks.

Whenever Ginsei is anxious or has moments of self-doubt, he seeks out your cheeks to calm him down.

Gui has the immediate urge to poke your cheeks when he sees you for the first time. And he does it. The moment he feels the softness on his fingertip, he is surprised but gives a soft smile.

He often stares at your cheek, and when you bring your face close to him, he pinches your cheek.

His favorite is to poke your cheek, but he never pokes too roughly. It's more of a playful thing between him and you.

Your cheeks make him smile from the first moment he sees you. Yoshino thinks you look adorable with chubby cheeks.

When the two of you start dating, Takami's first reaction is to cup your cheeks and caress them with his thumbs. He had been waiting to do that since the first day he met you.

He finds comfort in your cheeks, but at times, he tends to be a bit rough with pinching. One of the few characters who bites your cheeks when the two of you are having couple moments in private.

Sometimes, when he is feeling overly affectionate, Takami will nuzzle your cheeks.

Life with Ellie, Oliver and Jaxon😄

Well, Ellie it seems has found her own personality now. She is loving, cuddly, sassy and a little manipulator, intelligent, scruffy! She is all those things. Oh and part “raptor”.

Oliver is still very proud and happy to have his “puppy”. She has him twisted around her little paw. She has put him in charge of treats. Oliver now demands treats for him and Ellie. She gets 2 very small treats, and he gets a little more….and when I tell him “she has had her treats” and he sees her eating them, then he will have his. Always he will gently push one over to her. Oliver loves to share, always has. She tells him when she wants outside, and he lets me know. He still is waking at 7:3o/8:00…and is always watching her. When she plays with Jaxon, if Oliver deems it too much or too rough he barks for them to stop. He loves his walks, but is so happy on the way back home because he knows Ellie’s little face will be at the window. They do cuddle up for naps, side by side more and more all the time.

Ellie is still loving sticks, leaves, twigs and stones. It’s a battle with her. Of course she still sneaks into the house twigs for me. Of course, she gets a treat in exchange. One day last week, she was outside playing. I thought a leaf had flown past her, but it was a little butterfly. I told her to let it go. Then I called her into the house. As she usually does, she went right to her play blanket. She opened her mouth, and out flew the little butterfly!!!! I picked it up ever so gently and put it outside. She is such a sneak! I don’t know how she fooled me. My guess is I turned away for a second. So now, when she is throwing tantrums because she can’t do walks with Oliver…I tell her “until you stop eating leaves, twigs, sticks and stones and butterflies you can’t be trusted to go with him”. Oliver is always wanting me to open the door and to let him take her out alone, but I can’t. She is too busy, and has to be supervised. The day will come when they can go out together, but not for a long time.

I usually fall asleep for my nap on the couch. Ellie of course, goes and lies with Oliver for nap time. Well, her favorite thing to do is to wake me up. She gets on the couch, and crawls on me, and attacks my face with kisses. I opened my eyes and ask “is that you Ellie”….she goes wild! She is like a little raptor. She is vicious!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

So, every once in awhile Oliver likes a light lunch snack. He really is a supper guy. He doesn’t do breakfast, never has. Well, at lunch when I prepare Ellie’s food and put it down, I noticed she won’t leave the counter where I prepare her food. Yeah, I have to prepare a dish for Oliver! She won’t go to her dish until I place Oliver’s food on the floor. He won’t eat it, but she needs to know he has his food. They really have bonded and look out for one another, it’s so cute.

Jaxon and Ellie are playing much better, much calmer now. Ellie is losing that over excited baby. That seems better for Jaxon. She does go after him like a sumo wrestler though, and she loves to touch his tail. He hates anyone touching his tail, even though he taunts her with it. They do talk. They have great conversations. Jaxon meows, she barks. I do wonder what they are saying. It’s quite comical. Then at times Oliver joins in.

Walking Oliver is hard for me. Being outside in the yard is hard too. I miss Cathy and Panda. I think of them all the time. Ellie does help to distract me of course, but still my heart breaks. I do find comfort thinking how much Cathy and Panda would have loved Ellie. I still do see much of them both in her, but mostly now she is Ellie with her own personality, just mixed with the best of both of them. This is the most wonderful thing….she has a little bit of white fur on her chest….just like Cathy. Now though she also has…the ends of her tail are grey, Panda was grey. It’s so strange. I have never seen a tail like that. All black, with grey at the tips. It makes my heart smile!

Low-key got intimidated by how many people you asked for, but imma try anyways 🤪

Sort of a crack-fic because tbh I've never been to a lingerie store and haven't played Genshin in like a year 🏃‍♀️

Lingerie Store Shopping Trip with Xiao, Scaramouche, Itto, and Dainsleif (Seperate)

♡Xiao

Have fun dragging Xiao out of whatever dark corner he's in to go shopping

Even when you do go shopping, he hides in his hoodie the entire time at the mall while looking very annoyed and bored

He doesn't even like regular shopping, lingerie shopping is def not happening 😩

But right when he had spaced out from the hours of shopping, you took the opportunity and dragged the poor guy into a lingerie shop 💀

When Xiao finally realizes he hasn't been dragged into any normal clothing store and instead just entered a lingerie store, bright red

He is immediately flustered and just holes up in his hoodie even more

"Hey Xiao, do you think this color would look good on me?"

"Wh-what, what are you asking me for? You're the one who's going to be wearing it?"

He ends up pulling the cords of his sweater to tighten his hood even more

You end up getting slightly worried about Xiao strangling himself because you could only see the tip of nose through his tightened hood

"But Xiao~, I really need your help. After all, even if I'm the one wearing it, you're going to be the one taking them off~"

Xiao.exe has stopped working

You decide to poke Xiao's arm and he loses his balance and almost falls over

You grab his arm and manage to help him stand straight enough

Deciding that was enough teasing your poor, sweet boyfriend for today, you two walk home together with Xiao not saying a single word

However, as you both near the end of your walk home:

"Hey Y/N... I think the green one you were holding would have looked good on you..."

"REALLY?!"

Xiao starts pulling his hood closer around his face again.

"Hmmmm, well we wouldn't really know unless I tried it on. Say Xiao, we'd have to go bac-"

"Never."

Mean, rude, an absolute sadist of a perv, why would you even bring him to a lingerie shop with you

He probably demanded to go with you when he saw you leaving the house

With a dramatic flourish of his hand, you're forced to follow behind him as he browses through any and every store that interests him

Scaramouche starts grabbing lingerie after lingerie, each one getting more smaller and revealing than the next

Before you know it, he's shoved you into a dressing room with a pile of lingerie and demanding you to try them on and model each and every one for him

I just watch Good Day For It... I have so many thoughts!!

With how it was set up, it felt like an indie film, or one of those shows with an hour+ runtime per episode. I had to double check the that this was a on-its-own movie. I don't mean that in a bad way at all! I kinda hoped it was so we could get more story and action XD but it was just- executed sooo well! By the halfway point, I was surprised that Emily hadn't been kidnapped and Luke had to go rescue her. The movie focused on them and their relationship and her getting the answers she needed. No unnecessary drama or action needed to keep us at the edge of our seats. I absolutely love how you can see what the characters are thinking through their emotions and expressions- especially Luke!!!! And I was so so so relieved when we got that happy ending of the family reunited. No prison or death for Luke, Emily and Sarah can get all their answers and hopefully they'll be one bug happy family again ^^

Hec and Rose? Do I need to say anything?? They are the BEST supporting cast ever. Hands down. I need Rose and Reba to hang out. I need more Hec and Rose banter. I need more of Hec not just flirting with Rose and genuinely caring for her. I. Need. Them.

And of course, I can't forget the thugs you- and now I- love. First of all; Norman is my favorite. He's just.... Hooooooo fuck. I need him. I need that man. So in control? So level headed yet dangerous at the same time??? Lord have mercy (it doesn't help at all that I'm 99% sure that this is the same guy who played Foxy. WHAT IS IT WITH THAT MAN AND HIS VOICE!?)

As we can see, this is yet another case of me falling in love with the sidekick/accomplice of the one you're in love(?) With. First buck and Harper, then Big Bad and Granny. Greasy and Psycho, Otis and Baby/Rufus. And now Norman and Wayne. What other team/duo are we going to fall for next? XD

Secondly, all these guys KILLED their roles. Oh my god, they really bring a whole new level to the movie when they're on screen. The tension is so thick, you could cut it with a butter knife. They just.... Ohhh my god, I wish I watched this movie sooner so I could appreciate your writing of them more!

Thirdly... Ok the fact that Robert England's character was dealt with by smashing a plate on his head 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sorry, a plate smashing can do serious damage (especially to an old man *cough*) but- the other two got shot, but it's this toon of a man that's finished off with a dish. Please tell me I'm not the only one who found that funny XDDD

And finally.... ALL OF YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT WAYNES EGG COMMENT, BUT NONE OF YA'LL TALKING ABOUT ANY OF LYLES LINES!?!? I don't like that egg comment either, it made my skin crawl too 😅 But believe me, I would take THAT any day over what Lyle said towards Emily, "You like 'em young, eh?"//"So she's legal, now?"//*keeps touching Emily*//I'll let my new girlfriend explain."//"Your sick kid turned into this?"//"Well, I already paid for it." 🤢🤢🤢 Emily my girl I am so sorry. S/O Likes Falling Asleep To Their Heartbeat

Note(s): Oh that's so cute!! But can't relate with Dionysus cause I'd rather sleep on his thighs oof

Also has it been mentioned in canon if Zagreus’s heart beats? I can’t recall if it is but I wrote that it does (albeit pretty slowly)

Fenris

He very much prefers having you close to him when you sleep. Just to make sure you're still there and you're both safe. So you laying on his chest is perfect for him.

Fenris would never consider himself soft (he's all about self deprecation) so he would never admit how pleased it made him when you told him that you like hearing his heartbeat.

His heartbeat probably picks up a bit when you lay on his chest just because he’s not used to a more wholesome kind of physical affection. He’s not against it, he actually likes it a lot.

I feel like after he’s gotten used to you laying on his chest, if you ever not sleep laying on him then he’ll be pretty grumpy until you lay the right way.

Dionysus

The guy has his tits out constantly, you laying on his chest helps keep him warm and he likes being able to just hold you.

Dionysus probably likes to ramble and talk a lot when you two are laying down together so he probably doesn’t even notice that you’re listening to his heart more than him.

Has the biggest, dopiest grin when you tell him that you like hearing his heartbeat and it helps you sleep.

Would teasingly call you a softy but after learning that he probably tries to be less noisy so you can sleep better.

Zagreus

Do you know how wide he'll smile when hearing you like listening to his heartbeat. Sure his heart beats on the slow side since he's in the Underworld, but it still makes her very happy.

Likes holding you close. Prefers spooning but would be glad to lay on his back if you sleep better with your head on his chest to listen. Also let's him play with your hair or draw different shapes on your back.

He would love to listen to your heartbeat, just hearing what it sounds like and honestly he understands. It is really relaxing.

Zagreus never really allowed himself to lay down and relax so now that he has you that likes to lay on him makes him take a lot more breaks or calling some favors from Hypnos so you can just have a nice quiet time relaxing.

Brynjolf

This man is going to tease you with no end in sight if you let him know that you like laying on him to hear his heartbeat.

You’ll definitely get an “Have you gone soft on me, pet?”

Does like you laying on his chest though. Being in the thieving business, he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to get out of something alive or not so having you lay on him lets him know that you’re both okay.

There are some nights where he can’t come home due to work, but when he is able to be there then he’ll gladly lounge with you, just having you lay on his chest while he reads a book or something. Just making up for his time away.

***Well, I am still mourning the lost of my Dangerous Romance Ep 9 post 😭😭😭***

Me while watching Only Friends Ep 10:

1. I'm still reeling from a surprise Mond appearance 😅 Also, this episode's title is quite intriguing. Who exactly will be redeemed by the end of this series??

2. I have it with Mew and his effing high horse 😅😅😅. After nine episodes, it's becoming irritating lol.

3. Ray still in denial that he is a raging alcoholic. I do hope Sand gets through to him. But I digress, I'm currently watching this episode with vodka mixed in my coffee, so who am I to talk? lol

4. Why do I feel like Boeing is intentionally pissing Mew? "You are so cute, like an upgraded version of me". WTF. 😅

5. Yeah, I have mentioned this in my missing Dangerous Romance post but it is crazy how much chemistry Papang has with every guy, girl, gay, MILF that they partner him with. What. The. Actual. Fvck.

6. I'm still on the fence with Dan. Office romance, imo, rarely works.

7. I still don't get how Atom can be so effing in love with Boston after just one night. I believe bestie @lost-my-sanity1 said that Boston probably has a magical d*ck that every guy he sleeps with just falls in love with him 😂😂😂😂

8. Ugh. Atom dishing out lies. C'mon, Cheaum. Boston might be an a**hole but he is an honest a**hole. In all the years that you knew him, Boston does not resort to blackmail to get somebody to sleep with him. Manipulation, yes. But downright blackmail ain't in his cards.

9. I mean, Boston has always let his d*ck do the thinking. I guess it's high time he gets some karma for it. I just don't want Atom to also get away with his smear campaign against Boston.

10. I think the reason why Mew irritates me so much is because he tends to act like a Jane Austen heroine. Just make up your darn mind lol.

11. Okay, whatever scenes were deleted, I would need that included on the DVD lol. It's pretty confusing to see Top's sudden change without the context that the deleted scenes could have given us.

12. Well, will you look at that - Ray making some mature decisions. Growth! 😊

14. Well, Boeing is pretty successful getting on Mew's nerves lol

15. Kinky head is a loveable and apt name for Mark though. 😄

16. The ghost of Boston just haunts poor Nick. Is Boston doing this because he is finally regretful or he just feels lonely with everyone leaving him?

17. Too sweet, Ray. Too effing sweet lol. 😅😅😅 Although, I have this ugly thought that Ray would end up dead by the end of this series.

18. I guess Boeing also just wants to see Top's (and Mew's) world burn 😂😂😂

19. There are still too many bottles of alcohol left on that shelf though 😭😭😭😭😭 Also, what is the deal with Sand and Ray's dad???

20. Oh, no. Sand. Well, if we are being honest, Ray had treated Sand like he is dispensable. He even called Sand "whore" - twice. However, Ray is deluding himself if he truly thinks that Sand did everything for money. Sand has already walked away. Ray was the one who chased after him.

21. Again, Mew is irritating me. He can break with Top cleanly. Instead, he chose to stay with somebody he clearly distrusts. Then proceed to play these useless games. It's all a waste of time, imo. Although, Top put himself in this position. By gods, at this point, Top and Mew truly deserve each other lol. 😂😂😂

22. I didn't expect to feel for Boston, but gods damn 😅. If Boston pulls through this and really repents, Boston and Nick might turn into the healthiest couple in this series. WTF. 😑

23. Well, it turns out, Ray's dad do care. What's with this series hitting me with all the feels 😭😭😭 First, it was Boston and Nick. Now, Ray. But really, Ray should work on himself before he goes and chases Sand. Again.

My irritation for Mew has reached new heights. Never thought I would ever symphatise with Boston, yet here we are. Also, Boeing (Mond, I still love you), please get back where you came from lol. I don't think he'll cause that much problem between Sand and Ray though. Arrrrgh! We are nearing the finale! But first, the dreaded episode 11 😓

Voiceplay Visuals: Boy Bands In 5 Minutes (post 1/2)

I really love this video (even though I'm not originally familiar with all the songs), and there is so much stuff that happens on screen that either I would have to limit the amount of screencaps I take (and where's the fun in that?), or just break it up into two parts (maybe more, we'll see how we go).

This video premiered in June 2019, Geoff was in charge of both the arrangement and the video, and this includes 14 songs!!! And there are different outfits for every single one! Which is why this'll be broken into multiple posts.

Starting off with a very quick snippet of I Want You Back by NSYNC...

...which transitions into I Want You Back by Jackson 5! (Also I want all of their shirts)

Got some fairly simple choreography (or simple-looking at least, apart from the very precise group timing), which often has me dancing along with them! 😄

The Beatles! (except it's a Fab Five, not the Fab Four!) Layne is Ringo, the drummer, of course, and I wanna say Geoff is being Paul McCartney, since he plays bass guitar, but Geoff's air guitar isn't left-handed. And Earl and J are just vibing

This move is NOT EASY. I've tried it, and yeah I could get about as far down as Earl, despite having a few more physical advantages. J None killed it (made it look easy even), but Geoff actually did a pretty good job of it too (also how tight were those pants, I wanna know) (and rip Layne falling over)

First ‘I Love You’ With Seventeen

Since Ateez got one & all! 😄 Warning: long post! 😂

Almost every time you spent time with Seungcheol and the guys, you ended up taking care of them somehow, breaking up spats or cooking for them or even just satisfying certain members’ desire for attention. Not that you were anywhere near a de facto leader- in fact, it was just like you were parenting them. And while that made Choi ‘Family of Six’ Seungcheol fall over himself, head over heels to show you appreciation and affection every time, sometimes he needed you to himself.

This was one of those times.

The jacuzzi water was warm as it bubbled around you two, arms hanging out the edge and glasses in hand like anyone high society in movies would do. Seungcheol nuzzled affectionately into your cheek, grinning at the way you giggled his name when his nose brushed your skin.

“This is nice, isn’t it? Just you and me,” he murmured.

“You and me and the moon,” you hummed cheerily, “it’s wonderful, not that I don’t love the guys, but this must be what parents feel like when they go on vacation together.”

So you saw it too? Cute. “They love you, you know. And I can see why. But I loved you first,” Seungcheol remarked, the words slipping out as he kisses your cheek, feeling whole right there with you at his side.

“Well, that’s good,” you replied, smile so beautiful Seungcheol didn’t even need to look at the stars to see a shine, “because I love them, but I love you more.”

Setting down his glass, Seungcheol swept you into his arms, pulling you for a real kiss as you both repeated your confession, warm in both the water and your embrace.

Jeonghan

Life was kind to you. You had the most loving and understanding boyfriend anyone could ask for. Jeonghan was the best listener you’d ever met, and while you were careful not to abuse that, he let you know time and time again that he cared, that you could talk to him.

So hesitant as you were, you had gone to him one night after a bad day at work, saying you didn’t want to dwell too hard but needed a vent, and all he did was pull you to his lap without another question asked. That day had brought dealings with a particularly rude person, someone who’d taken a low blow at your appearance and unfortunately chosen something you were sensitive about. As you rested with your head in Jeonghan’s lap, his hand playing with your hair, you sighed that though you had a lot of blessings in life, you just wish that one thing at least would go away.

“You know that says more about them than it does about you, right?” Jeonghan began softly. “You would never tear someone down like that, would you?”

“Of course not,” you replied instantly, no thought even necessary.

“That’s because you’re a nice person. You don’t feel the need to cover your flaws with someone else’s or feel better than them. Even if you are in my mind,” he joked, squishing your cheek and bringing your first genuine smile and giggle of the day out.

“Don’t worry about what strangers think, ok? Those things you don’t like about yourself? I think they’re beautiful,” Jeonghan peers down at you with a soft smile, dark eyes sparkling, “I love them. I love you.”

As much as people think of your boyfriend as some sort of jokester, you know he’d never joke about a thing like that. That fond look like he sees the whole world? That really is for you. He truly loves you as you are. Tears welled in your eyes, only to fall back as you reached up, hand brushing along the curve of Jeonghan’s cheek.

“I can say all the same to you, Jeonghan. I love you, too.”

Joshua

Joshua wanted to fall in love first. Wasn’t a fan of being flirted with, having passes made at him, anything that felt disingenuous. What he wanted was a reality, a friendship that carried through into the greatest of bonds, something that he found for himself.

He found you. Well, sort of. When he met you, you treated him like anyone else. Cared to ask him deeper questions, like what the meaning of music was to him or if he could have any one piece of knowledge, what it would be. Let yourself loose and were your silly, smart, kind self very quickly, and he admired your comfort in that side of yourself. Or the resistence to social inhibitions at least, even if it was a challenge.

He hadn’t even expected to really fall for you, but the more you spoke, the less he could help it. You two just made sense together, his energy calming you and yours encouraging Joshua’s fun side- anything to keep you laughing with him, and laugh together you did!

Selfish as it sounded, he didn’t want anyone else to make you laugh like that. He wanted your heart to carry him as his did you, so when you agreed to date him, confessed you’d love that, wore the bracelet he’d made you with his initial on it, his heart just melted. Much as you deserved your freedom, Joshua wanted to be a home to you, and now it was time to tell you that.

You notice he’s that much more loving to you by the way he looks at you, the way he rushes around to open the car door for you and the way his arm slides up and down yours as you make your way into the restaurant he reserved a nice dinner for you two at.

You know him well enough to recognize that he’s biting his tongue about something, like his whole mind is leaning on the edge of his seat as he listens to you, but you know he takes time sometimes to speak his mind- it’s just Joshua’s nature, and you can accept that. You love him, after all, and that’s part of that.

So you keep talking, joking around along with your boyfriend as he reminisces on something embarrassing that happened to him in high school you still joke about, and you remind him of that funny baseball game trip you took with your grandparents.

“I hope I’m as lively as my great-grandpa is at that age, the way he climbed over the bench!"

"Minus the mustard," Joshua chuckled.

"Minus the mustard," you agreed, "I'd like to be a mustard-free grandparent."

Grandparent. One word and flashes of imagination burst through Joshua's mind, wondering what you two would look like as the quintessential old married couple, how many grandkids you'd have- and here he thought he hated thinking like that.

“Ha, that's a great image- I can almost see it. I see a future with you, you know,” Joshua tells you, taking your hand in his, eyes locked on yours. They aren’t searching, though- all you can see is pure joy, reassurance.

You can’t help the warmth that rises to your cheeks. “And of course I can see you in mine,” you reply.

“I love you,” you both say at the same time, and that’s how Joshua knows it’s real- you’ve found it together.

Jun

Welcome to the longest day ever. As he trudged his way home, that was all Junhui could think. Travel was fun, but also so grueling between work, jet lag, and little sleep. All he wanted to do was eat something and crash. Then he’d sleep for eight to twelve hours and wake up grateful for all the experiences that were still a bit hazy in his mind.

As he opened the door, sweet relief flooded him, and yet it was the tiniest bit strange entering the solitude. At least until-

“Welcome home!”

He almost jumped, just barely managed to quell his nerves enough to remain steady. Turning, he saw you standing at the table, food laid out and even a little cake that said ‘Welcome Back Junnie!!! > ω <’ frosted on top.

He was grateful enough you’d taken care of things while he was gone, but making him a late dinner? That adorable cake? He wasn’t even upset by the break of solitude, he realized, because time with you was still going to feel like ‘me time’. And who wouldn’t be overjoyed to see someone stayed up late to cook just for you? No, overjoyed wasn’t it, he reflected as he fell into your arms, he was in love.

“I’m home,” he said, and as if it would make it real he repeated it, “I’m home.”

“It feels good to be back, huh? I knew a party would be annoying, but figured you’d need something to eat, so welcome home,” you told him.

As you separated, Junhui held you a bit closer than arms’ length, hands on your shoulders as he shook his head, chuckling to himself. “No, you’re home. It’s you I missed the most this whole time, (y/n). I love you.”

And the way your face slowly, beautifully drifted into a grin, your hands sliding back up to pull him in, Junhui sighed in relief and giggled with delirious, sleepless joy, knowing you’d found your home, too.

Hoshi

You and Soonyoung sat cuddled together on the couch, his arm around you as you chatted…or you had been, but that didn’t always last with you two. One of you- it was a toss-up on who, honestly- would inevitably say something that had you both laughing like fools, normal conversation and breathing alike almost completely abandoned.

Such was one of those times as you sat connected but folded as your sides were about to split in the kind of mirth that makes you feel worked out afterward. You often described it as the best feeling, so it was fitting to share it with Soonyoung, your frequently-cited other half. That was part of why you-

“I love you!”

It was as if he read your mind, the way the words fell so abruptly, spontaneously, wonderfully from his lips as you thought a near variant. You could tell by the sudden ‘o’ shape his lips took, followed immediately by the wide, adorable grin you loved so much, that Soonyoung hadn’t even known he was going to say it, it just slipped out in between laughs.

“Uh, well, that is, I mean-”

“I love you too, Soonyoung.”

“Ok, good, because I really actually love you a lot and-”

“I love you a lot too,” you cut off his stammering, hands cupping his cheeks and yanking him into a kiss that was also no laughing matter.

No flowers, no frills, but as you sat there making out with your favorite partner in crime on the couch, you knew you wouldn’t want your confession any other way.

Wonwoo

“Wow, this is beautiful! We’re really going out here?”

Out here, in this case, being the lake you rapidly approached, all but running down the dock to the little boat your boyfriend had rented. Trees surrounded the secluded spot, draping its reflections in green that reached endlessly for the sky.

“M-hm,” Wonwoo replied contentedly, expression bright as he followed behind you at a more normal pace.

"How romantic!" You gushed, taking in the sprawling water as Wonwoo extended a hand, gently taking yours in it as he lowered you onto the cushioned bench like a true gentleman.

"I know," Wonwoo agreed as he untied the boat, earning a chuckle from you, "I wanted a day with just us and nature."

Nature. Just like any life in earth, your relationship had taken time, nourishment, and care to grow. And being at Wonwoo's side was natural for you; his presence was calming, but not stifling. Joy, excitement, laughter all bubbled up, but not with the same tension, you reflected as you cut further across the blue expanse.

"What are you thinking about?" Wonwoo asks, a hand still guiding your vessel, palming the controls effortlessly. Not that you were staring or anything.

You lean on the side of the boat, watching the water ever so slightly part. "How you bring out the best in me."

"You?" Wonwoo breathed as you eased to a stop. "You bring out the best in me. Pull me out of my shell. Sometimes it feels easier to stay in the background, just take it all in. Sometimes I would wonder if I would ever truly catch the eye of someone who sees me. And when I'm with you, I feel interesting. I feel light. Happy, like everything around me is clear. When we're together, I'm whole, simple as that. I wanted to have this moment to tell you I love you, (y/n)." As he said 'this moment', his hand waved over the tree-lined horizon, emphasizing the pinkening sunset tinting the clouds like watercolor over the forest.

No rush had ever overcome your heart like that. You wanted to cut the tension with something silly, exclaim in surprise, but neither of you deserved that. This truly was a moment to enjoy, one of life's blessings to live in your heart whenever you needed gratitude, you thought as you peered into Wonwoo's eyes.

See? Totally balanced energy. Reaching over, you rested your hand over his.

"I couldn't agree more. I guess this is a pretty good moment to tell you I love you, too," you reply with a smile that only widens his.

Woozi

It was really such a surprise. Jihoon hadn't expected you to push your way into his heart, not when he'd thought those doors were still shut for a long time to come. And even just the way that he was, busy and not exactly of social personality, he hadn't exactly been planning on falling in love.

But that's the thing with love- one didn't exactly plan on it. You kept things up even when he thought he was being awkward, showed genuine interest in his passions, supported him, built onto it with small ideas that had him inspired even though they were just offhand comments to you. You could read him so well, even when he thought he needed to act. He didn't. You told him so. And being with someone so introverted, you learned well how to sacrifice big activities and nights out if you even wanted them that often.

"As long as I'm with you," you'd say with a smile, and that small, small phrase had looped its way around Jihoon's brain. Somehow, it said everything he wanted to say.

As long as I'm with you.

He didn't want to do it in the studio- you'd spent enough time there for him as it was. No need to do everything in his workplace, not when this was an us thing. So he went over to yours, the space that belonged to you and less frequently housed your time together for myriad reasons, though it felt right. He ordered your favorite for dinner, let you choose what you two would watch, correctly guessing it was going to be your favorite movie. Comfort movie, you always called it. Comfort person, he always called you.

You got the delivery, he threw the blankets down. You played the DVD, he laughed at every joking comment and impression you did even if you did them every time. Doing separate things, but you two were in total sync.

But finally, you spoke outside of the screen. "I-I really like spending time together here, too. I'm glad you were able to make it."

Your shy smile had Jihoon's heart doing loop-de-loops- maybe you were worried he'd think you were imposing? You were not.

"Of course," he replied, hand resting over yours as his eyes studied your beautiful features, features that had inspired more than a few lyrics, even if some got tossed in the end, "you do a lot for me, it's only right I do it for you. It's not always easy, but you're such a trooper. I love you, you know."

It shouldn’t be a big deal. You could feel it already, right? Seokmin tried his best every day for it to show, to create a world where you could bask in the feeling of it like the gift you were.

So why did it seem so hard to tell you he loves you?

Maybe because of his personality- you had to know it was in earnest, not just a joke, not him trying to be cute. His heart beating faster whenever he saw you, the strength you gave him to do anything because you believed in him, and he wished you guys could swap eyes to see how beautiful and precious you were to him.

Wait, so just…say all of that? Maybe too lengthy despite its verity. Maybe something he could practice? No, no script for this, just his heart held out to you. And maybe, just maybe, you’d see he means it if he’s serious, if you’re standing in your favorite place as he says it, somewhere he’d go every day if it made you smile.

And so he takes you there, practically just waving a hand at the potential time and expense if you bring it up. You're worth it, he tells you. All he wants is to have fun with you, you know. To share in something that makes you you.

Your face lights up as soon as you set foot in your favorite destination. “Seriously, I can’t thank you enough! Why are you doing this all of a sudden?”

The look in your eyes as you swivel to face him unleashes something, a soaring in his chest that he can no longer ignore- he wonders how he could have for so long. Like a wave crashing on a sea-bound rock, the words burst forth.

“Because I love you.”

Seokmin just, just gets in a glimpse of the way your eyes widen, shine even brighter if that’s possible, before you’re launching into his arms, giggling “I love you, too”.

Mingyu

He wanted to tackle you. He wanted to scoop you up and fly you off to some private island and tell you it’s yours, he’d give you the world if he could. But that’s just how dramatic love made Kim Mingyu. As it was, not really an option. And he knew you- that’s not what you’d want, and this was one hundred percent beyond a shadow of a doubt all about you.

But that was it, the gloves were…well, on, actually, as Mjngyu made his way into the kitchen for something that would be much more your speed. Something that, funny as the mental image would be, would not earn him a smack on the chest or a complaint about time and money. Just the thought made him smile. Pretty much any thought of you made Mingyu smile, even on days he wanted to cry, days where being his kind self took work.

And that was how he knew.

“Alright, alright, let’s see!” You laughed as your boyfriend took you by the shoulders, practically jogging you down the hall in excitement that took over you like the happiest of viruses. “What is it? You’re acting like you won the lottery!”

“I did,” he murmured into your ear as you rounded the corner, taking in all that he had set up for you.

The table perfectly set, a gorgeous vase of flowers and two candles a respectable distance from them as centers. Plates, cups, a wine bottle, dishes all at the ready for the meal set just where you could see it- a favorite from your home, clearly handmade.

“Mingyu, you-”. Your voice failed you momentarily beneath your ballooning heart, “how did you know to make this?”

“Got the recipe from your family,” he replied, and you swooned even more with mirth at the pride you heard in his voice, envisioning it even before you turned around to take in the real thing. Just as you thought he was standing quite straight, shoulders out and handsome grin flashing in victory.

“All this for-”

“For you, yes,” he took your hand, gazing into your eyes in the blinding way that always made your knees a bit weak, “I hope it shows. I couldn’t think of a better way to tell you I love you. …And believe me, I thought about it a lot.”

And there he was, sweet and innocent and wonderful as ever despite the bravado that made you laugh, shaking your head in utter wonder as you fell into his arms, feeling them close around you and trace your back in a way that said I’m never letting you go.

“Mingyu, I love you, too. So much.”

The8

Love is something Minghao considers often. Platonic, familial love that keeps him moving forward when things get difficult. The special love he shares with his friends that can keep him smiling in a hard time, laughing at nothing on a fishing trip or bouncing on a stage with his dear bandmates no matter how hot the weather is. The love fans have, whether that's a real love or not- much contemplation went into that area, what was the feeling of possession versus what was love.

Romantic love? Sure, he thought about that, too, and the answer to any doubts on that subject was modeled by none other than his parents, the way they raised him and brought each other's spirits up with full hearts you could just see in their eyes.

And he saw it in his own when he was with you. It was a truth as evident as the nose on his face or the color of his walls, and it's within those walls that the words slip forth. During a simple moment at home, just seeing you standing in his kitchen cracking eggs into a pan in the morning and all feels right in Minghao's world. It was you he wanted this life with, this home, this synergy. And the thought of bringing up a little mini-you? He was surprised how fast his heart beat at the thought.

Shuffling in behind you, he wrapped his arms around your middle as you cooked, feeling your cheek rise in a smile against his head and smiling right back.

"Good morning," you said, "It's a new day."

And those words of yours were like divine intervention, just another piece of proof you two were operating on the same frequency. "Good morning. It is. I'm so thankful for this day, when I can tell you how much I love you."

Seungkwan

"The beach wasn't the surprise?" You burst out incredulously.

Seungkwan had already brought you to gorgeous shores, the sound of waves crashing washing away worry, faithlessness, restlessness from your heart. There you'd both strolled for who knew how long, chatting idly, trading seashells, laughing lots as always, not a cloud in your physical or metaphorical skies.

And then he tells you he has a surprise for you.

At your question, he shakes his head, smiling shyly. "No, but I wanted to have this day with you. To make you happy and have a beautiful place for it all.

"You're so sweet!" As is their habit, as if they have a mind of their own, your arms find their way around his waist, pulling him closer to you.

Seungkwan melts into your touch, leaning forward just so until your foreheads touch. He stays like that a moment, hands on you as well, as if soaking in your warmth to carry with him. Then his arms are sliding down, gently unlocking from the embrace, though his hand gives yours a squeeze on the way out.

And he starts singing. That voice of his- you could never get enough, your eyes fluttering in threats to shut in bliss at the sound of it, and yet you want to stare, to drink in the sight. The words are familiar as home even though it's been a while since you've heard them, and your face immediately goes alight.

"I know this song," you remark quietly with a smile, watching the corners of Seungkwan's lips rise happily as he continued pouring forth sweet words.

It's a love song, probably about ten years old, and boy does it bring back memories of a simpler time, of wild imaginings of love as only conjured by a blissfully ignorant, sweet innocent mind. Back then, love could be whatever you wanted it to be. And right now, that idea doesn't seem so far off. Not when you have someone as encouraging, as faithful, as comforting and completely in tune with you as Seungkwan at your side. The man standing before you truly believes you can be anything and will do anything to help you achieve it.

As the last notes resound across your heart like carven sheet music, you're almost frozen to the spot, bare feet starting to sink into the sand as you grin dreamily.

"You remember that song?"

"Remember it?" You light up further, hands clasped. "I love that song! I used to insist it would be my wedding song when I was fifteen!"

"I wanted to learn it for you," Seungkwan continues, rubbing the back of his neck shyly with one hand while the other grabs for yours, "to make a moment worthy of telling you I love you."

Seungkwan could have told you he loved you in a McDonald's parking lot and your answer would have been the same, but his heart, his eye for detail, his sheer showmanship and yet humility blew you away. Your heart beat faster just for him as you raised your joined hands to your lips, hoping he felt the flutter too.

"Well, today was perfect. And even if it wasn't, I would still love you just as much. Which is a lot."

You considered saying more, but all that escaped you was a yelp as Seungkwan's hands fell to your back, dropping you suddenly in a dip as he kissed you at the sea's edge.

Vernon

He was usually so low-key.

Such thoughts are all you have as Vernon spoils you with a rooftop dinner, visions of the city surrounding your solitary peak on all sides. Neither of you dressed up often, but there you were, up to the nines at this gorgeous place you didn't even know you earned. Not that that was a good way to think. Knowing him as well as you did, you could hear Vernon brushing off thoughts like that. Sure you did, he'd say, you worked hard and he always wanted to care for you if he could. He was such a sweetheart. You wanted to carry his burdens, too, felt lighter and calmer around him. You loved him, but would that be too intense?

Either way, you didn't let such musings color your date stiff. Vernon talked about a movie he had just watched with Jeonghan and Seungkwan, giving his critiques but ultimately praising the romantic plot, how the love was so pure.

"The main male lead? He'd do anything for his love interest. He's willing to give up so much for her, and when she's ready to do the same? It's corny, but there's something so human about it. You know?"

"I do," you nod, leaning your hand on your chin, forgetting anything about elbows on the table as you gaze fondly at the object of your affection. You loved how he talked when he gave his little movie reviews, the passion in his eyes, the flowers in his words.

"It made me realize I'd do the same for you," Vernon continued, dark eyes softening into yours, melting your entire chest cavity to joyous mush.

Unable to help it any longer, you lean forward, connecting your lips with his, which move just as eagerly. The kiss is fast, but sweet, gentle brushes speaking just as much as Vernon’s sentiments.

“I would do it for you, too,” you breathe as the two of you separate, grinning like adorable fools beneath twinkling white lights.

“I came up here tonight because I wanted to tell you something,” Vernon adds, eyes never leaving yours, “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

Dino

Googling romantic date ideas had hit a jackpot, Chan thought as he whipped his arms, spreading the softest blanket he could find down.

“Tell me when I can look!” You called from some distance away as he laid the basket gently, almost tenderly down, feeling tense and turning twice just to make sure it didn’t drop or tip. Everything had to be perfect.

“In a minute,” he called back, grinning widely with joy, anticipation, even a hint of pride, “I’m almost finished, ok?”

“Ok!”

Chan’s heart swelled. You sounded so excited, too, joyful in voice and mannerism as you waited on the grass, back turned to him as he propped up the finishing touches.

“Alright, come here!” All but jogging over to you, Chan slung a hand over your shoulder. “Turn around, gorgeous.”

“Chan!” You giggled his name, reaching up to his his shoulder. He didn’t always talk like that, but praise and endearment were all his brain could come up with. You made him giddy, and for once there was no one around to tease him if he looked like a fool. And love was certainly making a happy fool of him.

When you turned around with him, your jaw dropped, widening to a slack smile at the sight Chan laid out for you. Upon the soft blanket he'd placed not just a picnic basket, but a chilled bottle of champagne, twin glasses, a pair of cute little bright solar lanterns, and a freshly wrapped bouquet of flowers.

"You did all this for me?"

"And no one else," he replied, arm still around you, guiding you as you both lowered into seated positions on the blanket.

"I feel so spoiled," you gushed as he handed you the flowers, smiling at the way you cradled them with gusto.

"You should," Chan grinned, pressing a kiss to your cheek, "I love you."

Flowers, glittering lanterns, and even food and wine forgotten for the moment, you knocked him on the blanket for a passionate kiss that spoke it all back.

Flake's podcast - Stars (Sterne)

This edition of Flake's podcast is about Stars, both in the astronomical object, and the famous persons way (and coincidently the word 'Star' is also a particular kind of bird in german (which in english is called Starling), which is the most seen bird so basically the Star (bird) is the star (famous) under the stars (heavenly objects) 😊 (if i may add a note by myself which Flake maybe would appreciate, it's that the german word for 'star' is 'stern', and in dutch a 'stern' is another kind of bird, a 'tern' in english, in german that one is called 'Seeschwalbe, so that's where the wordfun ends 😄).

Anyway, no elaborate anecdotes this time, but a couple of snippets.

At 0h07 he plays 'Die Ärzte' song 'Zu spät' which is about one day becoming a star, a really early Ärzte song (Flake says 1981, wiki says 1984, so let's go with early 80's), and Flake mentioned they also sang it at the time when on tour in their broken-down van (must be Feeling B era). And like the song Flake also knows ladies who he liked back in the day, but who didn't notice him at all, and now they want to get tickets to shows, claiming they liked him all the time after all (Flake never noticed it). Unlike the song Flake doesn't think about taking revenge though, because revenge always hurts both sides. 🌺

Another variety of 'seeing stars' is in comics when a character gets a blow on the head and stars pop up, well, Flake has experienced that too (0h44): in school they used to have really slippery floors, and Flake let himself be pulled, on his socks, by a classmate gliding across the floor, which was fun, until they came near a wall, and Flake didn't quite make the turn and crashed with his head against the wall, and yes, that made him see a whole lit of gold stars falling down from above (he describes it extensively, clearly a vivid memory for him).

After that anecdote he plays Depeche Mode, and their 'DM' sign leads him to musing on commercials, eventually ending up (0h53) with and old commercial (when he had a tv after 'Die Wende') he liked with the Ukrainian boxing brothers Klitshko, who he likes anyway, but thought especially funny in this commercial (for chocolate bar Milchschnitte), and whenever Flake wants to take a break, he still says "Pause Vitaliy" 😊

Tiny mention of Rammstein (1h06) at the very start of their career being send on a couple of concerts for musicbusiness representatives with a few other bands, the biggest name at the time was the band 'Die Schande', and a very active announcer trying to get the audience excited about the bands (at 1h08 you can hear Flake mimicking the announcer 😊).

Flake talks about the movie 'A fish called Wanda' (from 1h31), and a particular scene with a german play on words. Flake always watches movies in the German version (the original voices are replaced by German speaking voice actors) because he wants to know what a movie is about. Some of his band-colleagues tell him off for that, saying that you can only understand the emotion of a movie in the original language (note: i can think of more than one bandmate who'd argue with him about it 😄), but Flake thinks understanding it is more important and if they watch french movies, they don't watch the original either, so there (Flake 'huh huh's them at 1h32 😊)! Anyway that movie was very important (apart from a entire generation of guys being in love with Jamie Lee Curtis), at the start of the movie one of the actors says 'Ich bin entäuscht' (I'm disappointed) and that phrase actually made it into a Rammstein song: Bück Dich. 😊

My Demon └ Moments

EPISODE 1 • So happy to see Madam Ju here. I never get tired of that parental archetype! Makes me teary-eyed. While the Sunwol Foundation supporting artists and superb art makes me starry-eyed! • I found it funny how this fight basically consisted of how he's able to trap his opponents inside a newspaper with peculiar headlines and/or captions. • Wondering why she couldn't sell her soul or he wasn't able to buy it when she was desperate and willing...

EPISODE 2 • They irritated each other so much at the beginning. I don't romanticize that, as life and much in it irritates me plenty already, but I like how they do it less and less so instead of going in circles with it as if it's comical or adorable. • TBH, that guy (the cousin), gave me a bad feeling since the first moment I saw him. A peculiar discomfort whenever he's around, too. But of course, I gotta give the benefit of the doubt and gather evidence before reaching any conclusion. Sigh...

EPISODE 3 • It's not gonna be shown in excruciating detail how much she had to mentally and emotionally adjust to the situation. But suddenly hanging out with a demon isn't something that can be taken casually. Being abruptly teleported to high places and all of that. • There's some emphasis on the name 'Salvation' and maybe that's their theme. I like it. In a time when so many insist on repeating the lines "save yourself" and "nobody's coming to save you", it's soothing. Do Do-hee might be particularly inclined to value that due to her past, though, despite being quite independent too.

EPISODE 4 • "You're treating me like a wireless charger." "And you treat me like a Pokemon." That about sums it up. 😄 • That tango fight was soooo unnecessary (since he can just snap his fingers), but I guess he likes to dance (and I'll never get over how often background music saves the day). 😝

EPISODE 5 • “The world was never an easy place to begin with. You get trampled on and eaten up without power.” A person with this as their modus operandi? It’s more common than you’d think. Among the most insufferable to me (admittedly, unbearable). I definitely would not want to live in a world ruled by them. And though there’s some truth to this statement, “There’s only one way the powerless can survive. Siding with the most powerful.” It rests on a fundamentally flawed assumption, and it’s that THEY are the most powerful. It takes more power to lift and alleviate others than to corner and/or crush them.

EPISODE 6 • I take that moment of Jeong Gu-won falling with yet saving Do Do-hee from being dropped from the heights as something symbolic too. • Choosing to marry Jeong Gu-won instead of Joo Seok-hun, the best decision ever. I don't know how much it really bothered Joo Seok-hun, but I don't even want to imagine how boring (or worse) Do Do-hee's life would be next to that guy. Sounds horrible on my part, but where's the lie? They're just not a good match, IMO.

EPISODE 7 • I tried, but I don't see the point of Joo Seok-hun being on screen so often and for so long. He's supposed to be the skeptical, inquisitive, and concerned character there? But I fail to see any instance in which he did anything more than interrupting and delaying progress to satisfy his curiosity and secure his repose. That and occasionally saying things that are deeply unnerving to me. "I admit that I'm not a scary person. But I can certainly be a nuisance. I'm quite persistent. I'll disturb and bother you so persistently that you can no longer maintain the peace and happiness that you enjoy in your daily life. You see, one termite can slowly eat away at the wood to the point that the whole house collapses." But sure, have him around. This is literally what he does to my enjoyment of this show. (And I've played enough WoW to know that DoTs can kill you if you let them be.) • Frankly, I do not at all find them to be too harsh towards streamers spreading dis/misinformation for clicks, views, subscribers, and tips. These people have zero regard for the lives they fuck over doing this shit.

EPISODE 8 • "Do what's best for you. Because that's what's best for me." The epitome of symbiotic relationships. But even if he's reckless enough to not care what negative consequences could affect him for loving her, I root for her to help make him even more hardcore and badass, powerful too. Rather than "insignificant and weak", become even more epic and iconic. Gotta have breaks to relax and enjoy too, though, 'cause that's not everything either.

EPISODE 9 • My dried, shrunk, and hardened heart cannot handle all this cuteness. OMG!!! 😆 • Someone get these drunks clear water and real food!! 😵 • A-ha! The homeless person living within boxes and occasionally spewing insightful and thought-provoking lines finally shows their true nature! This entire part sent shivers down my spine. 😮

EPISODE 10 • So he sacrificed his life to save hers like she did for him at the beginning and the tattoo got transferred back, so all his powers returned? Good! I was going to be mad if they both ended up as weak mortals with some cliche about being human. 😫 • Man, Jin Ga-yeong deserved waaay better. I'm amazed she didn't go full psycho-villain after all that neglect and dismissal she endured over this ordeal.

EPISODE 11 • PLOT TWIST! This pair went through EVERYTHING.

EPISODE 12 • I'm not crying. You're crying. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 • For what it's worth, a reminder that escapegoaters gonna escapegoat. Sooner or later, no matter what. When someone's not quite fitting in.

EPISODE 13 • The concept of happiness being potentially poisonous is something to write essays on, but I do appreciate Jeong Gu-won's insistence on joy. Letting people get swallowed up by sadness isn't better. It's adorable that he humors her with festivities, too. • I... could rant forever about how much I despise men like Noh Seok-min. But I shouldn't. I kind of wish Jeong Gu-won would give him what he deserves. But looks like his hell has already started. Still, tragic that that's the kind of "family" Do Do-hee has to deal with. With the blatant fake polite BS just to get what he wants and the taking offense when called out on it and more.

EPISODE 14 • This is such a load of fiction but I can't stop watching. • Beyond that, this episode was... "So you wanted a demon husband, huh? Can you even handle the reality of that?" And a "Who has the worst baggage/skeletons in the closet?" contest type of episode. • Jeong Gu-won, DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE HER ALONE!!! Being all, "Wuwuwu, I'm bad for her... ):" HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT MEN ARE LIKE THESE DAYS? YOU'RE GOOD. GREAT, ACTUALLY.

EPISODE 15 • Do Do-hee is such a heavy sleeper. Jeong Gu-won goes around, doing all sorts of things, while she's contently snoring and drooling on a pillow. • She finally got to see more of how it all began. Not to get too idealistic and romantic, but it is astonishing to see how intertwined they are. Sometimes you bond with another and forget exactly why and how, but the ties remain - keeping you together or coming back to each other, if not just making it harder for you to walk away over petty/trivial reasons.

EPISODE 16 • Bawling my eyes out seeing kindness passed around now. I'm not even religious but the angel part got me so bad. T-T ♥ • I almost, almost... feel bad for Noh Seok-min. He's getting what he deserves, though. • I don't know if it's bad casting or acting, but Joo Seok-hun is still very suspicious to me. They don't usually make more seasons of 16-episode Korean series like this one, from what I've heard. But I could bet he's the hook for a potential next one. He did say at one point something along the line that he was good at looking innocent - and he spent the entire show meddling and prying while looking innocent. But who knows. Maybe this just wasn't the time for such a character to shine as the villain.

shifting glances all around the room, and i can't decide between rulie and sweet tarts (the dirty candi girls could be fun!) so you decide 😄

There's something about the new library assistant that's driving Julie crazy.

He demands attention with the way he moves, as if he's dancing to a song that only he can hear. He definitely has the legs for it, long and shapely in a way that almost makes Julie miss her ex-girlfriend.

Maybe that's why he seems familiar, but her gut tells her that it's not just that.

"I know he's cute, Jules, but you'd better stop ogling him before he catches you."

Julie flushes, burying her face in the book she's supposed to be scouring as a reference for her paper. Flynn coos.

"Aw, I called it! Someone has a crush."

"I do not!" Julie hisses. "I've never even spoken to him. He just reminds me of…something. It's bothering me so much that I can't focus."

"Mm, that's what's bothering you. Not the way he winked at you right before he raked his hand through his hair."

"What?!"

Julie's eyes fly back to him, only for him to catch her gaze, and she squeaks, hurriedly looking anywhere else. Repeatedly. Maybe he'll think she's just trying to figure out what section to look in and she only looked at him accidentally.

She does need another book, besides, so she vanishes into the shelves once the coast appears to be clear, still wishing she could literally become invisible as she searches for her source.

The book she needs taunts her from a high shelf, and of course there aren't any step stools nearby, so she pushes her sleeves up with a sigh, bracing herself before she starts to scale the shelves.

"Need some help?"

She yelps as she slips, but a strong set of arms catches her before she can really fall or stumble too far, anchoring her to a firm chest. She tips her head back to thank her savior, only to find her face inches away from that of the cute library assistant.

His eyes are absolutely lethal up close, glittering green above a field of freckles that dot his flushed cheeks like daisies. Even his smile is bright, a disarmingly charming, crooked thing, and her heart pounds furiously in her throat, both from the proximity and the striking familiarity.

She's seen that smile before. Flynn's words suddenly make a lot more sense.

"You're that bassist," she blurts, wincing at her volume, but he quirks his eyebrows in an amused invitation for her to continue, so she does in a hurried whisper. "For Sunset Curve. I saw you guys at that showcase the Creative Arts Center puts on every Autumn. You're really good."

His cheeks go an even more brilliant shade of pink at the compliment, and it's not just her heart that's racing, she realizes with a start. His is thumping just as hard.

"Thanks." He unfastens his arms from around her waist with a sheepish cough.

He's rubbing the back of his neck when she spins around to look at him properly, and she's about to say something, anything, to keep their conversation from ending on an incredibly awkward note, but he surprises her again.

"You're the girl who sang along to most of the songs we covered. Not that you were the only one, but your voice really carries, and you—you're also really good. Like, to say you sound angelic isn't a stretch. I had you pegged as a performance major."

She giggles, covering her mouth to stifle the sound. She can't help it. It should be cheesy, but he's so earnest. He means it.

"Thank you. I am! I would've guessed that you study music too, but I've never seen you in any of my classes. Music minor?"

He bounces on his toes. "Yup! Piano."

"Me too! I couldn't do piano and vocals as my major focus, so."

"I'm sure you could," he says with a shrug, "but they made you choose one."

She pokes him with a pleased smile.

"You've never even heard me play. You don't even know my name!"

"Okay, well, I'm Reggie, and I'm sure if I ever heard you, it would only prove me right."

"Julie," she breathes, offering him her hand even though it's a little late for that, but he takes it anyway, folding it into his larger one. His calluses rasp against her skin, and she suppresses a shiver. "Hi."

He laughs quietly. "Hi, Julie."

He says her name like he's testing it out. He's still holding her hand as he searches her eyes. She doesn't want him to let go.

It gives her an idea.

"Can I write on you?"

His eyebrows fly back up as he finally releases her hand. He smirks at her.

"I usually get asked the other way around—"

She swats at him, and he laughs a little too loud, but no one comes to reprimand them. She's still trying and failing to fight a smile as he continues.

"But sure, by all means."

She's had a highlighter behind her ear. She must look like an absolute dork, but it comes in handy, now, and, well—she kind of is one. Something tells her he is, too.

She scribbles her number on the back of his hand in purple, along with her name and a little heart. He goes a little pink again when he sees it, and she melts, just a little. There's a hopeless romantic somewhere in there, she's sure of it.

"There. So you can come hear me play. Or ask me out. Either would be good. But I'd expect you to play for me, too. Okay?"

"Yeah," he says slowly, "yeah, that'd be—yeah. I'll call you."

She giggles again, pressing her lips to his cheek before scampering back to her seat, and she can't help it if they keep escaping her every time she catches his eyes.

It's not until Flynn gets filled in and lets out an ear-piercing squeal that they temporarily get booted from the library, though.

So I may or may not have thought up a whole lotta back story for Jake in that NFL au we've been talking about.

And uh, spoiler alert, I totally did! 😆

(there are also fixes for the timeline issues we discovered due to the length of an NFL season so that Ronnie can actually end up going into labor at full term after they win the Super Bowl😄)

Jake went to the University of Texas on a football scholarship

Towards the end of his freshman year, he starts dating a girl he met in his Comparative Literature class (Jake is secretly a giant bookworm).

Jake’s always been a hopeless romantic, so he falls for her hard and fast. They end up dating all four years of college and by the end of their senior year Jake is sure she’s The One. Can imagine his whole future with her.

She’s the picture perfect college football girlfriend and when he tells her that he wants to put his name in for the NFL draft she is enthusiastically supportive of the idea.

Senior year rolls around and while he doesn’t win the Heisman there’s still a lot of talk in the world of college sports media and NFL media about his draft possibilities.

The Minnesota Vikings take him at number 25 in the first round. Not as high as the analysts thought he’d go, but still pretty decent.

While Jake wasn’t exactly excited to be moving to Minnesota, he was thrilled nonetheless that his dream of playing in the NFL was coming true. His girlfriend on the other hand, was almost embarrassingly vocal about her dislike of having to move to Minnesota. She also kept making little comments about how purple really isn’t her color and that she looks better in a light blue “like that LA Chargers blue”.

Jake’s rookie year in Minnesota is not his best year, both professionally and personally.

Jake and the other rookies quickly realize that playing in the NFL is way different than playing in college and they all struggle to adapt, with Jake taking the longest. Which frustrates him to no end.

At home, his relationship with his girlfriend is starting to crack but Jake refuses to admit it. He’s also refusing to admit the painful truth that his girlfriend wasn’t still with him because she loved it, she was still with him because she loved the idea of being the girlfriend/wife of a professional athlete.

If he had been truthful with himself, he would have noticed his relationship was headed south based on his girlfriend’s reaction to not having unrestricted access to the account his NFL money went to.

At the end of his rookie year, Jake is traded to the Indianapolis Colts and his girlfriend breaks up with him. She admits to him that this was not the kind of life she envisioned when he said he wanted to play in the NFL. She was expecting a life like that of Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen (before the divorce lol), hanging out and becoming friends with celebrities and living in a million dollar mansion.

So Jake starts his second year in the NFL in Indianapolis with a broken and now jaded heart. He decides he’s not going to let anyone get close to him again. No relationships, just fun and done.

It doesn’t take too long before he’s got a reputation as both a player and the team asshole.

Cue Ronnie showing up a little over halfway through his second year with the Colts.

Jake freely admits to himself that he finds her attractive. During practice he makes comments and remarks that definitely toe the line between appropriate and not appropriate.

But Ronnie gives as good as she gets and Jake starts to admire her for that.

Towards the end of the season, the two of them have definitely become more flirty with each other.

The Colts just miss making it to the AFC Championship that season.

One of the other guys on the team hosts a Super Bowl party for those who are still in town and both Jake (who lives in Indy year round) and Ronnie go.

A drunk kiss or three happens between the two of them.

When sober they admit to each other that they find the other one attractive. With it now the off season, they decide on a no strings attached fwb thing.

Over the next four months, Jake starts to catch feelings. Somewhere along the line, Ronnie has (unbeknownst to her) chipped away at the walls around his heart. (if he was honest with himself, she basically blew them up).

But he doesn’t want these feelings because the last time he let a girl in, she broke his heart.

And just as Jake is finally starting to think that it might not be so bad to let Ronnie in, that’s when she tells him she’s pregnant (Ronnie taking some antibiotics for strep throat plus one night where they had a bit too much to drink to remember to use backup protection equals oops).

Jake freaks out.

He freaks out because his first thought wasn’t “shit”, his first thought was “our baby is going to be so adorable”. Quickly followed by “this baby is half Ronnie and I already love it” with images flashing in his mind of Ronnie living with him at his place, watching her glow as her bump gets bigger, Jake holding a baby that has his nose and Ronnie’s eyes, watching a toddler run down a hallway, giggling as Jake & Ronnie give chase.

Jake slams the brakes on that train of thought as fast as he can.

Instead what comes out is "Look, we had fun. It was good! But, you know...I didn't sign up for this. I'm not exactly cut out for the parenting life." despite the fact that he’s always wanted a family, always wanted to be a dad. Ignoring how much his heart is breaking again, he just looks at Ronnie and tells her to take care of it.

This happens around mid to end of June. Jake stops talking to Ronnie.

They don’t see each other again until training camp in August.

Jake asks Ronnie if she’s “solved her problem” and that’s when Ronnie tells Jake she decided to keep the baby. He’s secretly relieved and he may or may not have cried when he got home that night.

He still keeps his distance from her because he still refuses to admit to himself his feelings for her. Plus Ronnie has made it pretty clear she doesn’t want or need his help.

And then the rest of it plays out like how we talked about before with Ronnie just starting her second trimester when the season starts.

She ends up staying with Jake at his place because something happens to her apartment - like it catches on fire or mold is found? Or maybe Ronnie starts getting disturbing hate mail from people who don’t think women should be allowed to coach in the NFL or a stalker and the team is like “you need to find someplace safer to live for a while until the police catch this crazy person” and Jake just “casually” offers up one of his spare bedrooms.

Ronnie gets to his place "For someone who lives by themselves, why is your place so big?"
