It is such a pet peeve of mine when reading omegaverse stories when an omega man is called a mother and an alpha woman is called a father.

Also, I hate when omega men have a "cocklet". No, they are still men. They just so happen to be able to get pregnant. Don't just give them mostly female genitals. Omega men can still get beta and omega women pregnant.

Uggh I am just.... Fantasying about alpha women, just big loud and confident in that guy kind of way, proudly hairy, not put to the same ideals beta women are or omegas are. As you are probably already aware, within the omegaverse there are many and many currents, in which, although the basic concept remains, the anatomy and rules may vary. This is a little guide to the omegaverse I'll be working with, focused on the female side.

There is nothing mandatory, as long as everything makes sense in your universe, just create and enjoy!!!

So, the omegaverse is an alternate universe where society is divided into three subgenres: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. Let's get this started!!

ALPHAS are at the top of the three genders and have the dominant role in society. This hierarchy comes from a possessive and strict Alpha stereotype. However, in modern societies, it's common to see friendly Alphas playing simple roles.

Being a high-class and powerful hierarchy, their aroma should help give that image, which is why they are usually sophisticated aromas that attract a lot of attention. Contrary to other hierarchies, Alphas have a strong scent that overshadows others and easily attracts everyone.

Alpha women are intelligent and exude a sex appeal that attracts Omegas of all kinds.

Their heat causes an increase in their character, making them the stereotype of Alpha. They are physically a woman; they have breasts, a vagina, and a clitoris, as well as vaginal lips. However, and here comes one of the differences with Beta or Omega women, her clitoris fulfills the function of the male penis, lengthening at the time of intercourse and retracting at the end of it. Just like Alpha males, they can knot. They can also impregnate Beta women and both Omega men and women.

BETAS are the middle range. Their anatomy and physiology are identical to those of the common human. Women can get pregnant from Alpha and Beta men and women.

OMEGAS, stereotypically, are the cute and sensitive part of the hierarchy. They take on more routine, low-impact roles. Their aroma is usually mild, although during heat it increases. They can express their emotions through it.

Omega women are characterized by having a calm countenance and personality. They often have a strong character and, like men, are also quite territorial.

Their anatomy and physiology are identical to those of the common human. They can get pregnant from Alpha and Beta men and women.

Omegas go into some sort of mating cycle or heat. This heat can occur as often as monthly, as human menstrual cycles do, or as rarely as every five years. The universal characteristic of each heat cycle is that the omega really really really really needs to have sex with someone. 

What is a heat? 

A heat is a time when the Omega is most fertile and ready to mate, or just hide away until the heat is over. If they have an Alpha mate, they will never leave their side unless they need to get their Omega food or water. Mainly, they have sex and then rest. They keep a watchful eye over their Omega, listening to them and caring for them. But in bed, they still are the dominant ones.

If an Omega has no mate, that could be dangerous to even leave the house. They could get raped and forced into all of this, even if they protest and try to run. So they basically lock themselves in a room and use many toys to get through this.

A good part about this heat is that the Omega will self-lubricate, which means they only need to prep the Omega a bit more to have sex. During these heats, the hormones in an Omega go all crazy. A strong scent is released during the heats, causing the Alphas to smell it and chase after the Omega. If there is already an Alpha with that Omega, they will fight the other Alphas off.

Most of this time is spent having sex, even if the omega immediately starts having sex with the alpha at the beginning of the heat, they are still locked into sex for the next several days. Many orgasms are involved, as are utterly insane amounts of semen. The hole of the omega provides a huge amount of fluid and lubrication. The alpha/omega partners appear to be hormone-addled enough that they do not get bored or chafed during this time. The many orgasms appear to help make the whole situation tolerable.

Once knotted, there is a high chance that the omega will become pregnant. Hormonal birth control generally works like the pill in the regular universe, take a pill daily, take some type of injection, etc.

What is the Alpha Voice?

It is a characteristic Alphas possess that can force another to do what they are ordered, even against their will. For it to be fulfilled, the other person must be a minor, even if it is for a couple of days, and have a lower social rank (subordinate, child, etc). If used on a Beta or Omega, it will cause great pain if they try to refuse the order. The Alpha Voice is impossible to ignore or disobey.

To differentiate it from a normal command, the Alpha voice is usually written in bold.

What are the bonds?

Bonds are links connecting one individual to another. They often take place as a physical claim on the body that results in a mental link between two people where the two people connected can feel each other’s emotions. There are several types:

FROM PARTNER TO PARTNER. Involves physical claims on the neck/upper collarbone. The bond ceremony often, but not always, takes place during a shared mating cycle after courting. A romantic bond tends to fade after three years, so it must be reinforced. The more often partners reinforce their bond, the stronger the bond will become and the slower it will fade. Only one partner must receive the physical claim, however, the claim is strongest when both partners have a physical claim from each other. The breaking of romantic bonds before they fade is dangerous and can result in extreme illness, unhealthy mating cycles, or even death in some rare cases.

FROM SEXUAL PARTNER TO SEXUAL PARTNER. Involves physical claims on the inner thighs. Can happen at any point and does not have a traditional ceremony. Sexual bonds are the easiest bonds to break and naturally break after 3 days to a week. Must be reinforced often if partners want the bond to stick. Sexual bonds often happen between partners who want an increased level of sexual intimacy in their relationship or more pleasurable, shared intimacy. Also often happen between hookups and one-night stands. Are the least “serious” of the bonds.

I could do a much longer guide, but for OS' this will do. Anyway, there are millions of wonderful, comprehensive and brilliantly explained guides out there, this is just a shortcut to get straight to the point.
