hey guys!! happy valentines day and have a little valentines day drabble for our lovely girlies. i love you all so so much and im so lucky to share my writing with you guys <33

"Sapphira? Sapphira!"

"You don't need to shout, Amanda. My hearing is perfectly fine." The woman didn't look at Amanda, keeping her back turned as she flipped through a large book. Vials and bottles were lined up on the counter as a subtly smoking liquid was being stirred in a bowl.

"Well it's important so I'm going to shout." The blonde swallowed, picking her fingers nervously. "So do you remember that potion you gave me a while back?"

"The one I gave you to study. Yes, I remember."

"So," she laughed nervously, playing with the ends of her hair which only made her more nervous. "Funny story."

Sapphira sighed and turned around to her, giving her a deadpan expression. "What did you do?"

"Someone drank it." Amanda said quietly. "And now I don't know what to do." Sapphira blinked twice before rubbing the bridge of her eyebrow. "I was going to get around to it but then I had Dawn over and it was pink and it looked like the lemonade we were having and i turned my back and then it was gone!"

"Amanda." The dark skinned woman said, holding the girls shoulders and keeping her from totally spiraling. "Relax. It's not going to kill Dawn so breathe." The blonde nodded, her hair bouncing a little as she swallowed again. "But we do have a problem because that was a love potion."

"A love potion?" Her eyes widened. "So then how can you fix it."

"Oh no honey," Sapphira chuckled. "You got yourself into this mess so it's your job to fix it." Amanda paled and swallowed again, Sapphira rubbing her shoulder gently. "Don't worry, I'll help but it'll be your first big test."

"So I'm not in trouble?"

"Oh no, you still are in heaps of trouble but we have to put this fire out first before we deal with that."

i was chatting with beloved @sexynetra and said that i'd be writing amandawn and then told her i'd be writing something completely different than what actually happened. but. here's this :)

Amanda and Dawn are friends. They're friends who flirt with each other, of course, but who doesn't flirt with their friends? Maybe Dawn flirts more with Amanda than anyone else, and vice-versa, but that's fine. Amanda likes to take naps in her lap and order pizza together and thank her with a kiss on the cheek but that's fine, too, probably. She doesn't need to tell Amanda she would like to kiss her a little bit sometimes, right?

haven't been able to work on this as much as i'd like bc of work, but I've still made some progress :) -

Amanda's eyes widened and her jaw fell open.

"Y-you can speak English?"

"Of course. It's a common language to learn on my planet. I've known it since I was young."

She let out a soft 'oh'. She sat in silence for a moment, not sure if this experience was real. An alien was in her house- but aliens weren't supposed to be real. Maybe she was dreaming. But they felt so real. She was at a loss for words, struggling to wrap her mind around what was happening to her.

"...I know this must be weird, huh?" 

Amanda could only nod in response.

Dawn did not expect to be woken up at five in the morning by a frantic phone call from her girlfriend. Despite her name, it was her least favorite time of day.

With a groggy voice from her deep slumber, she answered the phone, barely looking at the contact. "Hello?"

"I'm going to be so late for work. I need someone to help me and nobody else answered the phone and-" Amanda rushed out before Dawn interrupted her.

"Baby, slow down. I can barely understand you." She said as she reached over and turned on her lamp. "What do you need?"

She heard Amanda take a steadying breath, "Can you come over? And bring your power drill."

Dawn tried to gather her thoughts for a moment, still shaking off sleep, "Sure, but why do you need my power drill?"

Amanda paused for a moment, "...You'll see it when you get here. It's kinda hard to explain."

Once Dawn got dressed and took an Uber across town to her girlfriend's apartment, she knocked on the door, hoping it wasn't loud enough for the neighbors to hear. She waited for Amanda to answer, but instead heard a voice.

"Come in," Amanda said from the other side.

"You aren't going to open the door for me?" Dawn pointed out.

"...The doorknob fell off. I can't get out." Amanda admitted.

Standing in disbelief, Dawn tried turning the doorknob. It was a lot more loose than she expected, but after a few tries, she was able to get in.

Once she opened the door, she found Amanda standing in the middle of the entryway, with the gold-painted doorknob in her hand. The two stared at each other for a few seconds, before the obscurity of the situation hit Dawn.

"How the fuck did you manage to pull the doorknob off?" she asked in complete shock. Part of her wanted to laugh, the other part of her wanted answers of how it happened.

"I don't know, I was trying to leave, and when I opened the door, the doorknob came off!" the blonde exclaimed.

Dawn stifled a laugh, trying not to make her girlfriend feel worse. "Okay, hand me the doorknob and pull up YouTube on your phone for me," she said as she took out the drill from her pink tote bag.

"You think you can fix it?" Amanda asked.

"I think so. Just don't break anything else at five in the morning, okay?"
