Diavolo dad banishes Male mc because he’s making the brothers “to soft”

Little story

Mc and the brothers were invited to Diavolo castle for a banquet, they didn’t know that Diavolo dad would be there

Diavolo also didn’t know his dad would be coming either

Everyone was enjoying themselves until smoke appeared into the room and then someone appeared

Diavolo dad pops out of the smoke and looks around, almost like he’s looking for somebody

(for the sake of making this short I’m gonna call Diavolo dad king)

“You.” The king

“uh, yo” Mc responds nervously

“Are you Mc?” The king walks towards Mc

“Damn am I that famous?” Mc jokes- trying to calm himself down because he’s literally INFRONT of the king

“I’ll take that as a yes” the king then lifts up mc and Diavolo tries to ask his dad what’s he’s doing

“What are you doing?”Diavolo asks

“Getting rid of the problem” The king responds

“What do you mean problem? If you are talking about Mc are you wrong-" Lucifer was cut off by the king

“This thing is making you all to soft, and we can’t have that, now can we?”

“ I’m making them soft? Do you mean helping them grow to be better people” mc snaps back

“Tsk” the king opens a portal to the human world and tosses mc into it

“I hereby banish you from devildom” The king says bluntly

“WAIT-” Mc was cut off by the portal closing

Lucifer

Everything happened so fast

One minute everyone was enjoying themselves the next you got fucking banished

“Like mc said, he was helping us not making us soft” Lucifer argued

“well he’s gone so it’s to late” The king responds

“AY BRING MC BACK” Mammon yells

The brothers and Diavolo tried to convince the king to not banish mc

“I don’t know why you guys think you can convince me to bring it back, when have I ever brought someone back after banishing them?” The king says before leaving

Lucifer asks barbatos to take him to the human world

Barbatos was also affected by Diavolo dad, Diavolo dad cursed Babratos by taking away his powers until Mc dies

Barbatos explains he can’t and Lucifer gets angry

Lucifer is gonna spend everyday trying to find a way to get to the human world

Whenever he gets close to figuring out to getting to the human world it goes wrong

Works with Diavolo to find a way to get you back

If you two DO reunite he’s gonna be so happy

years of experimenting he can finally see you in the human world thanks to the help of his brothers and Diavolo

Lucifer isn’t the type to cry but he finally reunited with his lover friend after a long time so don’t blame him for crying

“LUCIFERRRR” Mc cries into Lucifer shoulder

“I tried finding a way to devildom but it seems you beat me to it” Mc says while hugging onto Lucifer tighter

“Yep, it seems I have” Lucifer says enjoying the moment

Lucifer and Mc enjoy the moment until the rest of the brothers come

Mammon

Doesn’t know where he got the courage to argue to the king but that coward left before he could curse!

“THAT COWARD LEFT” Mammon yells

“Mammon calm down, we shouldn’t waste our time with him and try finding a way to get to mc” Lucifer says

Mammon gets grimm and pays some of his debts for information on how to get to the human world

He worked with Lucifer and Diavolo for a bit before asking other people

He still works with Diavolo and Lucifer but he has a side quest

And that side quest is paying people to tell him ways to get grimm

He spends one year saving up grimm to get information out of a witch who travels in and out of the human world regularly

“Please, give me information on how to get to the human world”

“You must be desperate, you’ve spent a year to save up grimm and somehow succeeed, I didn’t expect you to make it far” The witch says while taking out some stuff

“Just tell me how to get to the human world” Mammon says getting impatient

“Alright, alright here’s what you need and what you need to do” The witch explains everything and Mammon leaves as soon as the witch gets done explaining

Mammon does everything and nothing happens

Mammon sighs, he’s more sad than angry

Mammon is about to cry until a portal opens

Mammon quickly goes through and finds you

You and mammon reunite

Mc thought he was dreaming when he saw mammon

“Mammon?” Mc turns towards mammon

“Mc?”

Mc and mammon run to each other and hug

“MAMMMON I THOUGHT ID NEVER SEE YOU” Mc says while crying happily

“IT TOOK ME AWHILE BUT I DID IT” Mammon smiles

Mammon tells mc everything that happened

“I tried finding a way to you guys, solomon tried to help me but he was also banished from devildom for being friends with me” Mc sighs

“Wait solomon is here aswell?”

“Not at the moment but we are living together” Mc smiles

Mammon would usually feel jealous but he’s glad that you had company

“Let’s go see my brothers, I’m sure they miss you”

LEVIATHAN

Stunned

Doesn’t know if he should say something

Leviathan just watched his favorite person just get banished, of course he’s stunned

“LEVIATHAN SUMMON LOTAN!” mammon yells and without thinking he summons lotan

“..uh oh” The king disappears but he did get injured by lotan

Levi looks all over the internet to find a way to the human world

He worked with mammon for a couple of days until he decided to work my himself

Leviathan looked through every site and cried every time it failed

Was the first one to think “..wait a minute didn’t mc have his D.D.D?”

Leviathan found out that Mc left his D.D.D in his room

Leviathan holds onto his D.D.D just in case if he meets mc again

One day he find a sketchy website that promised that this ritual will be easy way to the human world

Out of desperation he does all the steps and waits

he waits for two minutes and sighs

Leviathan was about to blow out the candles when all of a sudden a portal opens up

“..it actually worked” Leviathan carefully goes through and spot you

Leviathan looks around and sees he is in the woods

You looked like you were also trying to make the same portal but missed a couple of stuff

“dammit, it didn’t work” Mc says while picking up all the candles

“You did it wrong” Leviathan says

“oh thanks leviathan- wait WHAT LEVI”

“hi mc” Leviathan looked nervous, he didn’t know if you still liked him

“LEVIATHAN I MISSED YOUUU” Mc hugs leviathan

“I MISSED YOU TOOOO” Leviathan says hugging mc back

Mc and leviathan talks and leviathan remembers about his brothers

“Hey mc I wanted to give you something” Leviathan says digging in his pockets

“Oh what is it?” mc says

“Here!” Leviathan gives you your DDD

Mc hugs leviathan tightly

“Thank you leviathan” Mc smiles

Mc let’s go of the embrace

“I bet you want to see my brothers more than me so I’ll go get them”

“I want to see all of you, please don’t say that I’d prefer to see them more than you. I cherish you all the same” mc says

“Right my bad” Leviathan smiles before going to get his brothers

SATANNNNNM

“…was that Diavolo dad?” Satan ask

“Yes and he hasn’t changed one bit” Lucifer says

Satan didn’t think he was serious when banished for “making the brothers to soft” ..like what?

After a week he realized “oh shit he wasn’t lying” Satan then goes into research

He thought it would be easy to find a way to get you back

It was after he looked through EVERY BOOK is when he realized that this would’t be easy

It’s been two months and he hasn’t made any progress

He got angry and destroyed his room

Had to sleep in your room until it got fixed and now he misses you even more

He starts getting so desperate that he worked with Lucifer

After two years Lucifer and Satan finally did it

“ah.. we did it” Satan says calmly trying to not freak out

“Mhm”

After a couple of seconds of staring at the portal Lucifer finally spoke

“Well, aren’t you gonna go through?” Lucifer asks

“You aren’t coming?” Satan says

“I am, I just want to give you both some space” Lucifer says

“Lucifer..” Satan was about to thank him but didn’t and walks through the portal

Satan sees Mc

“Mc!” Satan yells

Mc looks around confused on who said his name until his eyes land on Satan

“Satan?” Mc ask confused

“I thought you’d be a lot happier” Satan says

“OH MY GOD ITS ACTUALLY YOU” Mc runs at Satan and hugs him

“Looks like you’ve missed me” Satan says all smug (internally he’s trying to not cry out of happiness)

“OF COURSE I AM! ITS BEEN TWO YEAARSS” mc cries

Satan finally breaks

“You got me crying too” Satan says smiling

“I’ve missed you so much- I’ve been working everyday to find a way to you and even worked with Lucifer” Satan says hugging onto mc tighter like mc is gonna disappear again

“I’ve been finding a way to you guys too!” Mc responds

Mc and satan talk a little until Satan gets his brothers

“Don’t go disappearing on me again Mc” Satan jokes before leaving to get his brothers

Hi Fi, I hope you've been doing well since I last checked in. Pardon the Big Chat, but I just got caught up on some posts I had missed and figured it'd be better to just react to them all in one go.

I am so stoked to see you like Bungo Stray Dogs! My freshman year of college, my suitemate got me into it and we watched probably the first three episodes before her evening class. Lovecraft deserved way more screen time and I don't understand why he isn't the same threat level as Q when the whole point of the Cthulu-mythos is contact with it will drive you insane. Chuuya is god-tier husbando material. He's a good bad boy, a half-good, half-bad, half boy. The pretty red hair, sharp blue eyes, the choker and body harness, we're really eating like Queens. I'm an Akutagawa girly myself. I can't help but love him even though his narrow-minded approach kills me a bit. Have you read the Beast spin off?

Also I gotta know, is Lysandre a black-coffee supremist? We already know that cafe is bougie af. And I know the jealous hybrid!Larry thing was meant to be hot, but I can't help but think of him doing that squat/leg warmup thing he does in-game before going off on whoever was being too friendly with his mate.

And God, I can't imagine telling Cyllene about Cyrus, or having to explain what drove him to do such a thing. On one hand Cyrus always had a hard time understanding and interacting with the world around him, especially in terms of emotions and subjectivity. But he was also abused and lacked any proper emotional-support and companionship, all while being placed under extreme pressure to succeeed in all things until he broke. So, a tender-hearted wish for the world to be easier to live in got misguided into a desire for a world without emotion and attachment.

I like to play with the idea of being his little sister. So for me it'd be me telling my great-great-something grandmother that I'm her (and Laventon's via Surveyshipping) descendant, and at some point their legacy and values got misconstrued, leading to my parents being so abusive that my brother went rouge. Cue Grandpa Lav crying and Granny Cyllene being silently ready to beat someone's ass.

High Five Anon

I think I got into Bungou like in my last semester of high school/right after graduating. Then I dragged my poor friend into it lol. Lovecraft, sadly, can't get too much screen time because he's a little too OP. I mean he literally died and regenerated. I think his ability's relation about madness is shown when Q attacks him since he kinda scared them by showing them his "insanity" or whatever. He's not a threat because he isn't like commonly hostile and seems more reclusive/sleeping most of the time. I Still Think He Should Return In The Current Arc. He'd Win.

Chuuya literally hit all my unfortunate pretty boy notes that usually lands me a husband. The fact his voice actor is a singer too is really cute to think about, because I like to imagine Chuuya sings for that reason lol. My friend like Akutagawa at first, then she's like latched on to Kunikida and is Obsessed. I haven't read Beast, but I really should. I really want to, but I keep forgetting lmao

Lysandre almost certainly screams black coffee guy. He probably doesn't even offer cream or sugar in his café and asking for some gets you thrown out.

shhsjd actually the Larry thing was meant to be funny lol. But he has to do the squat thing or he'll pull something and that will be bad. Responsible bird man.

I really, really think Cyllene of all people would want to help him. He is her descendant, and she's obviously a lot more soft-hearted than she lets on. She's a bit motherly towards the teens in her unit, so I don't doubt she'd be that way with Cyrus if she ever met him/he ended up in Hisui. I should probably write more on Cyrus in Hisui because I do wish to explore more of the possibilities of what would happen should they ever meet proper.

i think why i like akechi so much is because i look at him and his actions and im like yeah i would have done the same in his exact situation lol. i GET him. i get him! which is probably not a good thing but thats ok. also hes very obviously bluffing in how much he controls the situation hes in. its very obvious he has no choice lol but he NEEDS the control so yeah ofche thinks he has control and ofc he thinks hes going to succeeed because he deserves this he deserves this after everything hes gone through (normal voice)

Little Devil

Imagine Loki and reader have a son, and they want Thor and Odin to take care of their child while they’re on vacation.

A request from @radioactivesweet

“Father, what are you doing?” Thor gaze at Odin who carry his grandson, Narfi.

"Just taking care of my grandchildren, Loki and Y/n are on vacation.” The nine-years-old Narfi gaze at Thor and become excited, “Uncle Thor!”

Odin put him down as he run to Thor and hug him, Thor not sure how to respond to his hug as he’s just patting his head. “Uncle, play with me!”

“No, I’m busy.”

“Thor, just play with him, Odin is also pretty busy too. Don’t tell me you’ll fight?” Odin’s crow said to him, well the crow are not wrong, he’s planning to fight... actually to avoid his troublemaker nephew.

“Hm.”

“Then, good luck take care of him, you can fight later though.” Odin’s crows and himself left the him and Narfi in the room alone.

“So what should we play?” Ask Narfi, Thor will not like this, but himself doesn’t know what game he would play. “Is your choice.”

“Oh, then how about prank?”

“No.” He’s not gonna let Narfi cause some trouble to deities or he’ll have to be responsible for it, so he end up having him play on a playground. During in the playground, Thor has been watching him so he won’t cause another trouble to other kids.

“Uncle Thor, help!”

Thor look at Narfi who hang on the high pole and become alert (even though he doesn’t show it). He sigh and approach him, Narfi actually scare and yell for help until Thor finally carry him. He hug him tightly as he cover himself on his neck. “Are you afraid of height?”

“Yeah.”

“Don’t do that again.” Even Thor confuse how he hang on the pole in the first place.

When it’s lunchtime, Narfi and Thor eat together, surprising enough he actually eat a lot and even demand more. Now he wonder how Narfi can eat a lot and didn’t gain weight at all.

To make sure his nephew didn’t cause trouble or harm himself, Thor always give him a piggy back ride or draw with him. He gotta admit that taking care of his nephew can be tiring for him, if Thor just look away for him for a few second, suddenly Narfi climb unto something or bring a trouble to someone.

During playtime, Narfi told him to cosplay a teddy bear with him, at first, Thor want to refuse, but he have no choice but to wear unless he want to play chase with Narfi which will be troublesome in the end.

When Odin find Thor with Narfi, he found Thor accidentally sleep on the floor with Narfi sleeping on his back. Odin thought that this is a rare case to see Thor in this way and find his grandson cute.

"Loki, look at this picture that Odin show me." You and Loki are on vacation, and you've got a picture of Narfi sleeping with Thor while both of them wearing a teddy bear costume.

When Loki see it, he laugh so hard and even save the picture cause of how cute his son are, but he's also a bit jealous that he play costume with Thor. "Narfi could've just told me to wear this with him, not with Thor."

"Maybe next time after we go home from vacation." You kiss his cheek, loki already have a plan in his mind, and it'll probably take a lot of courage to do this.

At dinner time, Thor didn't realize that he still wear the teddy bear costume with Narfi, Narfi actually know this but he keep quiet because... this is actually a prank for Thor and he already plan this from the start.

Odin is confuse why Thor still wear the costume, but he thought that maybe he still play with Narfi which is why he didn't tell him.

Narfi love to climb Thor since he's really tall like a panda climbing a bamboo tree.

To Thor, Narfi is like a carbon copy of Loki but a brat, he like prank and a really active person. He's really clingy to Thor as if he's a mother chicken, but Narfi is actually a talkative person only to the closest one like his family. But with other god/goddess, he can be pretty quiet and distant himself from other. (Which is surprising from a son of God of Deceit)

To Narfi, Thor is his favorite uncle, he's very stoic to him which is usual. But, he even willing to play with him even embarrassing himself with him and that's what he like about Thor. Narfi just wish that he can make his uncle laugh or happy.

When Loki and Y/n have finally got home from their vacation, Narfi cry, wish that he can stay longer with Thor and it was fun. (Which make Loki jealous.)

"Mom, can I stay a bit longer with Uncle Thor, please?"

"I'm sorry dear, tomorrow okay?"

"You promise?"

"I promise." You and Narfi do a pinky swear, while Loki just turning back from them.

"What's wrong with dad?" Narfi whisper to you.

"He's jealous because you spend more time with Uncle Thor." You whisper back to him while holding your laughter.

"Hmph, what a clingy guy my dad is." Narfi put a pouty face and his sentence somehow indirectly attack Loki.

"B- but, we never play costume together, you know." Loki point am accuse to Narfi which he just stick his tongue to his father.

"That's because you always put a prank on me, and I never succeeed to make you fall into my trap." Narfi and Loki argue while you try to calm them, Thor just seeing the trickster family arguing. With a sigh, he's finally survive another day from his nephew.

"Like father like son." Thor thought, at least this is over, he can finally do something beside taking care of the little devil... for now.

By the next morning, the god/goddess secretly laugh at seeing a picture of Thor and Narfi sleeping with teddy bear costume spreading around asgard as they see Thor in a dark aura dragging his hammer trying to find Loki.

Yep, Loki gotta hide for a few days until things got better.

I definitely kin Adam, I don’t think I’ve related to any fictional character more than I did with him. I thought about so much him for months after I first read the book (I used to think I had a crush on him before I learnt what a hyperfixation was.

Favourite scenes:

The parts where Adam narrates! I really like the parts where he talks about how experiencing all these new things made him feel, I also just like the way his narration is written in general. Specifically, I really l like the scenes where he watches the DeLaceys and plans to talk to them. It’s one of the few moments in the story where he‘s actually happy. The first time you read it, it’s touching to see him excited by the DeLacey’s happiness, and you want to see him succeeed in talking to them. When you re-read it, you’re begging him not to because you know how it will end.

AGAIN BUT BETTER booktalk

THIS WAS SOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!! This book was all I ever wanted/needed and more I love it with all my hearth and it is by far my favourite book! If you haven’t read it yet plese do!!!

First of all I want to say that I am incredebly proud of Christine, I have been watching her videos for years and I watched her write this book in her writing videos and reading it now I feel like a proud mum! I expected it to be good but I never imagined that it would be THAT GOOD, I want to thank her for giving me this story, it means so much to me and I am more than thankfull.

I wanted to read this book the second it came out but I couldn’t because I had so much to do for school at that time and than other thins came around I wanted to read it when I was completly realxed, when I could enjoy to the fullest. And now I know that I didn’t got to read it than becau I was meant to read it NOW. Back when it was released, I hadn’t been to Rome and Paris yet and now that I have I related even more to the book because I also viseted all the places they went to. I think the universe just wanted me to read it now because now I needed it the most. I think that was a smooth introducton, I am now going more into deatal because there is so so much I want to say, I took so many notes while reading because I didn’t wanted to forget anything. I wasn’t sure and I still am if I realy want to post this because this book means so much to me and I don’t want to ruin anything by laying all my thoughts into a text but I just watched the q & a she posted about the book and I mean she would never read this but say she would somehow I want her to know that she has done so much for me with this book!

So lets start from the beginning... I related so much with Shane trough the entire book, it was like reading my own thoughts, I have never ever related to a character more than her. She said this I would say and did things I would do not to start with her thoughts I don’t now it sounds silly but as Christine said in the q & a video I felt like I was the character in the book and it was both scary and nice, well more nice than scary because I could watch Shane grow and come out of her comfort zone and do all this thins showing me that it is possible and it makes me want to do thins too. It was just ahhhhh so so good and sooo beautiful!!! Words and in genral this text don’t do justice to what I feel and what I felt about this story.

Especially in the beginning when Shane started doing those little thins like asking that stranger to take a picture, I was so proud of her for having the courage to do it because I often don’t and I was so proud of her every time she did those little things not to mention the big ones like finally talking to Pilot about her feelings.

There were so many paralles to my own life in this book that yet again made me think even more that this book is for me and not only the fact that I related so much to Shane and the Rome and Paris things it was just everything!

One of the things I loved most about it were all the refrences about books, music, movies, Tv shows, youtube... all the references, they made me so happy, everytime I understood a refrence I was totaly freaking out with excitement! Especially the one with her Professor’s name, Blackstairs like I died it was the best thing!

And the jokes god the jokes I was laughing out loud so many times! I can’t say it often enough, it was just perfect everything I wanted in one book!

Obviosly I loved that most of the book took place in London cause I love London and it is a place very close to my heart but the traveling they did, GOD I looooovvvveeeee traveling so much and when they were just like spontanusly deciding to go somewhere it made me not only happy but I want that too I want to just say that I want to go to that or that place and just do it! And the photos they took and the fun they had like I was genunly crying seeing them having so much fun, there is such a beautiful exciting and lovely experence to go travel with your friends and take fotos and have fun! Those times are the ones I love looking back at. When I think about the happyest moments in my life I imediatly think about the times I was traveling, disovering a new citiy taking fotos and evrything.... SOOOO GOOOOODD

I loved Babe and I loved that they were such good friends and I loved that she was so passionat about Disney and that her dream job was to work at Disney World like how often do you see that!!! That is so incredebly cool!

In generall I really loved the whole group and how they spend time together! Shawednsday was the best thing! And I got so sad thowords the end of their semester when they didn’t had that much time to spend together where they kind of drifted away, the saddest part was when she sepend the spring brake alone that was hearthbreaking ( I am so glad she got the chance to do everything again and make it right)! Ah and I loved how Atticus and Sahra started reading the books Shane recomended that was so sweet! I would have loved tho to see a little more of Atticus and Sahra, Atticus seamed such an interesting character and I loved how he was the who tried to help Shane after what happened with her parents.

Pilot, lets talk about Pilot, the minute we met him I got all giddy, I like him, I love his name and I love that he writes music! I enjoyed his conversations with Shane so much, their deep talks and I loved him in Paris take two so so much and at the very end in Edinburgh like that was the sweetest thing ever but I have to say tho he was so frustrating sometimes! Like jkfgfkjhgkh it was sooo clear that he had fealings for Shane and I understand that it was complicated with Amy and I get that sometimes you don’t realy now what you want but bjhdsbchsd and than when the time travel happend I understood that he didn’t know what to do and that he wanted to go back and that all was scary but it was so frustrating!!! The way he acted and how he freakt out like plese Pilot you have got a second chance here to make things right plese take it is so special plese don’t ruin it! I was more than happy when he finally understood that. I was so happy for them but I must say while in Paris take two I was a little suspicios I knew something had to go wrong and when the thing with Amy came out I was soooooo disapointed in him I was so mad at him! But he managed to get me because let’s be honest here I couldn’t be mad at him and he is so cute and he did all those cute things! I loved how he treied to help her when they where having dinner with Shanes parents I wanted to hug him so bad for that!

Speaking of Amy I do feel sorry for her but I don’t know she should have let Pilot go when he asked her to before he went to London. And she had no right to read Shane’s notebook but again it is undersandeble that she did and I was mad. For a second tho when I read that scene, before Shane released that she was reading her notenook I was like awww Amy is a reader too she likes reading, well that thought flew away quiclly...

Ok lets come to the red haied woman, I don’t want to say that I knew that something was up with her but when she apeared at the Starbucks I just knew that she would do something I want to quoute myself here, I took this note when I got to that scene: “ SCREEEEEMMMMMIIIINNNNNG the red haired women has done something! Fairy??? Wizard? Witch??? Holy crap!” I also just want to point out that I somehow imagined her looking like Cassandra Clare I don’t know why but to me this woman was Cassie!

The time travel thing was soooo amazing and so beautifuly done I have never expected it happen but I am soooo gald it did. I loved that caffe, I imagined it looking so cool! And I love time travel, like one of the books that made me a reader was about time travel and having it in this book made it even better than it already was! I loved how she did it with the elevator and everything I got so excited when all of that happend because when I got to the part when she was interviewing for the residency I was so sad and I stared crying because I was like well this is real life you don’t get the things you want and you don’t get to be who you want to be thats the reality and I got so mad because I realised that people, including me are so dump sometimes not taking chances and say and do the things they want!!! I was so sad that she lost those years living with regrets but than the time travel happend and she got a second chance and I couldn’t have been more happy!!!!

I loved how confident she got after the time travel, how she did everything different, that she decidet to talk to Babe about Pilot that she didn’t let herself give up un her dream about writing because of her parents and that she did such a good job at the internship I was soooo proud of her and I still am. I got scred when Pilot first wanted to go back and than when she wanted it too but I am so glad they stayed and worked thing out, that she found the stranght to make things right again and finnaly live the life she wanted and the life desereved. I cried when her article got published and I cried in the end reading the epiloge seeing her succed as a writer and even seeing him succeeed as a musician it was the best thing! Oh but I also love that they got to keep the memories from take one!

Oh heavens when the realisation hit me that the title “Again but better” was refering to doing London again and the things with Pilot and not college in general as I thought in the beginning like wow that moment was just wow!!!!

I brought up her parents a few times now I think is time to say a word about them too so I understand that they want her to have a good future but the way they acted was so wrong I didn’t liked them at all! I loved how in take two she proved them wrong!!!!! When they had dinner in take one I was crying for Shane that was so intense I felt so incredebly sorry for her but looking back the fact that she succeded in take two made it even better!

I already mentioned that I loved Shane and Pilot in take two well I already loved them but I mean as they got together, their little jokes and the move thing and lamppost thing that was hilarious!!! And god I loved when they filmed the youtube video together, how they sang together that was soooo cute I loved it so so much!! And his speech at the end in Edinbrough like o my god and the one in the epiloge I just couldn’t I was crying all the way!!!

I was so sad when I finished, I loved every second of it!!!! It is such a special book for me and I will treasure it forever!!! Somehow it feels good to write all of this because I am sure in a few years I am going to read it and be very glad I wrote it while the memory was fresh. Speaking of fresh, it’s been two days since I finished it and I am not ready to let it go yet, I still can’t remove the book from my nightstand nor can I start another book, it still has to sink in, I am not ready for anything new, I love it to much to let it go so soon!!!

Histories Appreciation Week 2019- Day 3: Prince/Princess’ Day

(Killing 2 birds with one stone here- Lisa, I am SO sorry about how long this has taken to get around to. And anyone else who’s sent me fic prompts and not had an answer...proof that I will get around to it eventually. And also- sorry. Anyway: Bohemian Shenanigans, for those who may not know, is an AU where Queen Anne survives the Plague, Mary survives giving birth to Phillipa, and everything goes to hell anyway...)

It isn’t until the dust settles, until all the chaos and confusion of a sudden civil war settles into some vague semblance of a new order of things, that anyone even notices Mary’s son is missing. No one knows where Hal has gone- whether he went willingly with someone, whether he simply fled in terror and lost himself somewhere- whether the King- whether Richard-

(Mary knows, logically, that Richard would sooner have slit his own throat than hurt a hair on Hal’s head. Logic cannot stop her heart from pounding, or the sick feeling in her stomach. Hal had been with Richard, when the news broke, and she asks Richard’s brother if he knows what happened, and John Holland spits at her feet and tells her that if he were his brother, he’d have hung her brat from the battlements as a welcome home banner for its’ bastard, usurping father.)

She cannot bear to face Anne. Not after what her husband has done to Anne’s. But her child is missing, and so when she has exhausted the other options, Mary goes to the Queen.

Anne is being kept quite comfortably in the Tower- comfortable in the material sense, at any rate: no one who sees her could even begin to convince themselves that she is happy, or well. Her eyes are red from weeping; her dress worn at the knees from praying- she is praying when Mary disturbs her.

(She rises, and turns, and does not curtsey, and Mary is almost affronted for a moment, and then feels even more sick than before? It has barely been a fortnight- how is she already used to being treated as though she is England’s lawful Queen?)

“Why are you here, my Lady of Lancaster?” Anne asks, and there is no warmth, no trace of their former friendship? “Has your husband sent you to tell me that mine is dead?”

“I- no.” Mary shakes her head. Her mouth is dry, her tongue seems too ungainly- words will not come. “I wan- I wanted- Anne, Hal is missing!” the tears she has been holding back for the past, endless days burst forth without warning; she sobs and sobs and cannot stop. “Hal is missing, I don’t- I don’t know-“

And just like that, Anne’s arms around her, her hand rubbing Mary’s back, Mary’s face buried into the Queen’s neck. “When?” she asks, “When – before the battle?”

Mary nods, and sniffs, and gulps, and Anne steps back, holding her at arms’ length so they can look each other in the eye. “Richard will not have harmed him,” she says firmly, and Mary nods, and believes it- internalises it and commits herself to it fully like a novice instructed in the catechism by her Reverend Mother. “Richard will not have suffered any harm to come to him that he could prevent. I do not know…” Anne hesitates. She did not remain with Richard and Hal in Wales, she returned to hold London with the Duke of York, and they both walked in to a trap. Mary’s own uncle took the both of them prisoner, and if Richard sent Anne word about Hal, she will not have received it. “He will have wanted Hal somewhere safe,” she says finally. “Out of harm’s way- he would not have allowed him near the battle…” she bites her lip. “Have you asked the Duke of Aumerle?”

Mary has not.

(Mary does not know if she ought to tell Anne that Rutland- Edward of Norwich has been stripped of his Dukedom in Absentina- is missing as well, and that Henry fears him slain in battle- or that he fled and was killed by some of Henry’s men, a little too over-zealous in hunting down deserters from Richard’s defeated ranks. Anne has already lost so much- why should she lose her friend too?)

Mary has not, but she tells Anne that she will as she takes her leave of her, and she starts to wonder if it is coincidence that Hal and Rutland are both missing.

(The answer, it transpires, when a very sullen, very muddy Edward shows up with a pale, equally muddy Hal in tow, is a resounding no.)

“The King said I had to go with our cousin,” Hal says, snuggled up to her chest later that night. Henry wanted an account of where he had been, and what he had been doing all this time, and didn’t he know how worried they had all been, and Hal had looked mutinous, and Mary had insisted on a bath and a full night’s rest for Hal before any kind of interrogation began. Now, she hopes, that if Hal tells her what happened, then she can tell Henry, and Hal won’t have to do anything but rest for the next few days. “On a secret mission. Except he wouldn’t tell me what the mission was, and it turned out—”

It turned out that Richard had ordered Aumerle to take Hal to the nearest monastery and see sanctuary, and stay with him until either Richard came to fetch them-or they heard that Henry had won, in which case Aumerle was to deliver Hal back to his father and mother and-

(“-throw myself on Henry’s mercy,” Edward snarls, pacing back and forth across the length of his father’s cell. “I’d sooner cut my own heart out. No, no! I’d sooner cut Henry’s heart out. And his guts. And his bowls- we should hang, draw and quarter him, that’s what happens to traitors-“

“Perhaps, but Henry isn’t a traitor any longer,” York says calmly. “He won, and Richard is right- you ought to pledge yourself to the new King.”

“You pledge yourself to the new King,” Edward shoots back, “Sitting about in a dungeon isn’t going to help your gout.”

“Ah,” York says. “And there you have it. I’m an old man, Edward, and you are young one. If either of us is going to martyr ourselves in the name of a noble but ultimately worthless cause, it might as well be me. I won’t be throwing nearly as much away.”)

“Why?” Hal asks Mary bleakly. He will be crowned Prince of Wales soon, Mary thinks, if only to highlight the fact that she and Henry have sons, as Anne and Richard did not- other titles will be bestowed upon her other five children, and none of them will ever rest easy because of what their father has done.

Her heart breaks for them and breaks for her oldest most of all. God help him, Hal will have to be King- or he will be killed in King Richard’s name, or in the name of Edward Mortimer, who has as much of a right to succeeed Richard as Henry did which is to say-

“Why?” Hal asks again, and Mary realises that he is crying. They are both of them crying silently, their tears rolling down their cheeks and falling on each other. “Why did he have to come back, mama, we were fine without him, it was fine! I don’t want to be a prince- I don’t want father to be King, I don’t want Cousin Richard and Queen Anne to be in prison…”

“I know love,” Mary whispers, and holds him tighter. “Neither do I.”

Why I like them - Ryoko is just such a gentle and caring soul, how can you not like her? I like how mature she is in comparison to most of her classmates, but is still made out to be a person you can have fun with. She just has an insane amount of grace and elegance to her in all of her sophisticated calmness and I love her established role as big-sister-figure within the dorm and how it shows specifically when she interacts with Yuki and Megumi.

Why I like them - How can one not like Yuki? She’s such an adorable, supportive, little sunshine girl! Her bubbliness and joyful attitude are just very endearing and it’s always massive fun to watch her. She also has a bunch of funny moments and I enjoy how overdramatic she can get sometimes. To me, she’s a very fun and lovable example of an energetic character.

Favorite episode (scene if movie) - Episode 22/Chapter 56 (AE Premlins, though I think her part was done better in the anime), Chapter 60 (First time of her crying, because bby didn’t made the AE and still she throws a party for her friendos afterwards…BBY), 70 + 69 (Her supportiveness for Megumi in her match with Ryo was just the cutest thing ever, change my mind) Chapter 141 (This is where she breaks down crying in-front of everyone), Also Chapter 63 because this is where she asks Zenji if his glasses are just for show and that’s ✨ OTP ✨(next in line for “Great OTP Moments” would be Episode 13/Chapter 28)

Why I like them - *deep breath* I like smart characters and his very role in Shokugeki is to be the smart guy, but there’s more to that…I like how he’s still shown to be a hard-worker who studies hard to survive in Totsuki’s harsh environment where he’s surrounded by natural geniuses and how he truly excels in the intellectual area. He’s also just great fun to watch wether he’s onto explaining something solemnly or greatly upset about something. I also do like the “Everybody’s-Doormat-Character” who complains about that status a lot because….that’s quite literally my life. Zenji is very relateable for me, because I too have to deal with people who never listen to me and I too am DAMN EASILY EXHAUSTED. Zenji has both serious moments and comedic moments and both work for me and I ju ST LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Why I don’t

Favorite episode (scene if movie) - CHAPTER 23/55 MY DUDES (AKA. AE PREMLINS) I GET EMOTIONAL EVERY SINGLE TIME, Chapter 152 (He has some damn nice panels in this, don’t judge me), Chapter 235 (listen, I also just get enjoyment out of my fave-glasses-person explaining the villainy of my other-fave-glasses-person, doNT JUDGE ME) also once again….Chapter 63 + Episode 13/Chaoter 28 because ✨ OTP Moments ✨

Unpopular opinion - *DEEP BREATH* My son tends to get underestimated a lot and be brushed off as just a comic-relief and no-E10-Material and I just…..*sighs* People in the past, did consider Shun E10-Material and Zenji had the exact same score as Shun in the AE Premlins, so I can’t see why he shouldn’t have the same potential. I mean it doesn’t matter because we never got to see any of the two in the Elite 10 so meep, but I am just….sad about the fact that barely anyone is giving Zenji even a chance.

Poll after poll shows that the 51 million residents of South Korea overwhelmingly want an end to the 68-year Korean War—which the United States is still officially involved in. A recent survey found that 88.4 percent of South Koreans support the April 27 joint peace declaration by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in. And 81 percent of South Koreans expressed optimism about the Trump-Kim summit.

Despite widespread concerns that U.S. President Donald Trump would torpedo an historic opportunity for peace—including through his repeated threats to annihilate the entire Korean Peninsula with nuclear weapons—this worst-case scenario has not yet come to pass. When North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met with Trump in Singapore on June 12 and etched out a four-point agreement, the reaction in South Korea was largely a sigh of relief. “Koreans see the Singapore summit not just as another sensational episode in the story of Donald Trump but as a step away from a sixty-eight-year-old unfinished war,” writes E. Tammy Kim for The New Yorker.

Yet, there is a yawning gap between the optimistic mood in South Korea and the response among liberal media circles in the United States, where many are reacting with a mix of sanctimony and scorn. On June 12, Kevin Drum published a piece in Mother Jones in which he accused Trump of “abandoning” South Korea and agreeing to a weak deal. Vox echoed this line with rebukes of a “shockingly weak” agreement that includes “huge concessions to Kim for little in return.” MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson accused Trump of complicity in the public relations makeover of a dictator. And popular host Rachel Maddow released an episode on June 12 arguing that Trump's pledge to halt war games in South Korea is a “giveaway to N. Korea” that “suits Putin's goals”—disregarding that robust social movements in South Korea have protested the U.S. military presence for decades.

These refrains were repeated by Democratic leaders, including Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, who released a joint declaration ahead of the summit criticizing Trump from the right by accusing him of not being a tough enough negotiator. In this climate, the “liberal” line is virtually indistinguishable from the hand-wringing of officials from pro-war “think tanks” like the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which receives major funding from weapons manufacturers.

However, there were important exceptions. Sen. Bernie Sanders released a statement on June 12 praising the Singapore summit as “a positive step in de-escalating tensions between our countries, addressing the threat of North Korea’s nuclear weapons and moving toward a more peaceful future.”

For commentary on the U.S. political climate, In These Times spoke with Christine Ahn, a South Korea-born, Hawaii-based peace activist has been organizing to end the Korean war under the administrations of Trump, Barack Obama and George W. Bush (This is one of a series of interviews).

Ahn says she is frustrated and discouraged that many U.S. establishment liberals are deeply disconnected from the decades-long peace struggle led by South Koreans. Any peace deal must necessarily involve the United States, and unless U.S. progressives want to condemn the Korean people to another two to six years of military escalation, Trump will have to be involved in that process. Given Trump’s proven willingness to turn on a dime and engage in dangerous brinkmanship with North Korea, she argues, it is especially reckless for self-professed liberals to pressure the president to be more confrontational. “It is very dangerous to pressure Trump to be hardline,” says Ahn. “We have to put all of our efforts into ensuring this goes well and is not undermined.”

Can you tell me why you are frustrated with the response among liberals and the left in the United States to the Trump-Kim meeting in Singapore on June 12?

Christine Ahn:

I was just in Washington, D.C. to help organize the Korea Peace Network Advocacy Day—about 100 activists from around the country came together to advocate for changing U.S. policy. It just happened to coincide with the June 12 summit in Singapore. We were so thrilled with the outcome of the meeting, even though it was thin on concrete action. This was the first time a North Korean and American leader sat down and shook hands and declared a new era for U.S.-DPRK relations.

I was incredibly frustrated by going around the capitol yesterday talking to the offices of members of Congress and also the quick knee-jerk reaction from liberals and left. People said, “How could we support engagement and diplomacy—this amounts to approving Donald Trump.” I was on the Joy-Ann Reid show, and the whole framing was about how Trump just met with the G7 and trashed France and other allies, and now he was going to North Korea to meet with a dictator.

Can we stay focused on how this is an incredible moment for the Korean people? This is about ending a seven-decade war with a country the United States has been at war with. The United States has been an obstacle to peace for Korea and was responsible for dividing the peninsula. That people in the United States don’t understand this is a sign that the Korean-American progressive community has failed to get nuanced perspective out there that ties the situation on the Korean peninsula with U.S. complicity. It’s so frustrating.

Sarah Lazare:

What’s the reaction in Korea to the meeting and to the peace process overall?

Christine Ahn:

Eighty-eight percent of South Koreans support the recent peace declaration between North and South Korea which says we've ended the Korean War and we're starting a new era. I just came back from South Korea where women were saying, “Could you please tell the American people and international community that we want peace. Please could you pressure your government and silence the hardliners who are trying to derail this process for us?”

Isn't that reason enough to support the peace process? We've allowed partisan politics to get in the way. Democrats don't want to give a bone to Trump because it might impact the midterm elections. That's just killing me.

Sarah Lazare:

Given how volatile and dangerous Trump is, it seems to me that if you don’t trust him, you should do everything you can to make sure that he doesn’t derail the peace process. This is the same person who casually threatened to annihilate the entire Korean peninsula with nuclear weapons, yet now some Democrats are pressuring him from the right. Do you think this is dangerous?

Christine Ahn:

It is very dangerous to pressure Trump to be hardline. We have to put all of our efforts into ensuring this goes well and is not undermined. Look who's in Trump’s cabinet: John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, and tomorrow is the confirmation meeting for Harry Harris, the former head of Pacific Command—a military man with a hardline position against China and North Korea, now likely the new ambassador to South Korea.

If things don't go well, we are in an incredibly dangerous situation. We saw that Lindsey Graham ask the seven Democratic senators to join him in authorizing the use of military force against North Korea if this process does not succeeed.

Talking with various members of Congress on the Hill, I got the message that they oppose this but they don’t have any path to success—and they oppose this because they don’t trust Trump. There’s this trope that we don’t engage with dictators. Really—we don’t engage with oppressive regimes? What about Saudi Arabia and Israel? The hypocrisy is just beyond the pale.

Democrats are attacking Trump from the right and sticking to this hard line of no dialogue, no engagement. This is the same line that was used against the Iran Deal. When I went to meet with Nancy Pelosi's office, I felt like I was dealing with the Obama administration. They had this line of, “We're not going to engage until there's complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization.” That approach of strategic patience got us nowhere except a nuclear armed North Korea.

The glimmer of hope is that some lawmakers put out measured statements, including Bernie Sanders.

The Hobbit Enjoltaire AU

Like always I’m back on my bs and coming up with an AU instead of being productive.

So Grantaire is the Bilbo of this AU

He’s a Hobbit that is very much content in his life of indulgence, being critical, and just general hobbitness. He has absolutely no need nor wish to go on any adventures whatsoever

But then enter Gandalf Valjean who sees this perfectly content and complacent Hobbit and is like ‘ah yes, the perfect companion for an adventure’.

Grantaire refuses to go but Valjean still leaves a mark on his door.

That night, a group of dwarves arrive at his Hobbit hole in small groups, eager to introduce themselves

The looming Bahorel is the first to arrive, followed quickly by his brother, Feuilly

Then comes husbands Bossuet and Joly who, despite joining the quest, have left their wife behind in the Blue Mountains

Brothers Courfeyrac and Combeferre; the company’s banker and healer.

Twins Jehan and Marius; the youngest and more gentle members of the Company with Jehan following the career path of a scholar and Marius being...Marius.

Marius’s attempted courting of Valjean’s adopted daughter is what drew the wizard in to joining the company.

Cue Grantaire being very annoyed at the dwarves raiding his pantry and drinking all his wine.

Then comes the leader of their company; Enjolras, heir of Durin and rightful King Under The Mountain.

He’s also the brother of Courfeyrac and Combeferre (I wasn’t sure who would fit Kili and Fili so I guess Oin and Gloin are being combined with Frerin and Dis instead. )

Grantaire’s initial thoughts are that he’s underwhelming by dwarf standards and far too pretty and R’s far too gay

He finds out the purpose of their quest is to retake their home from the grips of a cruel dragon that has long since made it his home. He also finds out they want him to be their burgular and help to infiltrate Erebor.

It’s a noble cause but one Grantaire has no interest in. After all, what reason does he have to care about their quest?

Still, he somehow finds himself joining the company anyways.

The quest is an interesting one to say the least and absolutely bonkers with trolls, wargs, and eagles (oh my!)

The company is forced to stop in Rivendell much to the chargrin of the dwarves company. Valjean swears he has an old friend there who can help them read a map to the Lonely Mountain.

Thus we meet the elven lord Myriel and his daughter, Simplice.

Of course, they translate the ruins on the map and the Amis are given the deadline of ‘Durin’s Day’ (essentially dwarvish new year).

So they get a move on.

Along the way, they find themselves hunted by the orc Javert (I know it’s a loose fit but I didn’t know who to make him other than Azog ) who has a tense history with Valjean and a somewhat warrior past with Enjolras.

Finally, the Amis find themselves in Laketown and Erebor is within their grasp.

Unfortunately the lord and lady of Laketown are none other than Monsieur Thenardier and his wife. Both are greedy and are quick to agree to help in exchange for some of the Mountain’s treasure.

Disgusted by their greed but desperate for their help, Enjolras agrees.

However, before heading to the Mountain, the Amis insist Jehan and Marius stay behind in Laketown until the dragon is dealt with. They are seen as being ‘too young’ to take on the fire drake. Very reluctantly, they are left behind.

Of course things go mental once the remaining Amis make their way inside the mountain.

By this point, Valjean has briefly left them to deal with ‘personal business’ (aka a meeting of the White Council to set up the events of LOTR)

With great reluctance as the group have now grown close, Grantaire is sent in to make a first impression on the great dragon Louis Phillipe.

Before he goes in, Enjolras grabs his arm and they have this really intense stare between each other before he reluctantly lets R go.

Things go wrong. Grantaire is Grantaire and manages to anger the dragon thus leading him to an attack on Laketown.

Meanwhile, Marius has found himself developing a friendship with the Thenardiers’ daughter; Éponine - even if she sees their friendship as being far more than friendly.

However, when Louis attacks Laketown, she knows of her parents keeping an old artefact; a black arrow - also known as one of the only weapons that can kill a dragon.

So she manages to acquire it and uses it to attempt to kill the dragon, even if it is only in an attempt to impress Marius by ‘saving him’.

She succeeeds. However, she gets fatally wounded amongst the carnage caused by Louis before his demise.

Being praised by him as a hero, Éponine dies content in Marius’s arms. He presses a kiss to his forehead.

Meanwhile, Javert’s orc army has grown closer and began to infiltrate Laketown. In the process, Jehan Prouvaire is captured and held hostage.

Back in the Mountain, Enjolras has become infected by dragon sickness, slowly being driven mad by a lust for gold that has plagued his family for centuries. Thankfully, both Courfeyrac and Combeferre are effected to a far lesser extent.

Still, that doesn’t stop him offering a chainmail coat of mythril - an impenetrable metal - to Grantaire in what is absolutely a straight way. Nothing gay about giving your close campaign chainamil with an insane value - even after you’ve become afflicted by an obsession with wealth. It’s really gay.

Marius returns to the Mountain with a warning about Javert and need of Jehan’s capture.

Because all dwarves are stubborn, Enjolras refuses to go to the men or the elves for help. In his madness, he seems then as greedy and cruel; more enemies to be defeated than friends to be made.

Grantaire isn’t overwhelmed with the same madness. Not even slightly.

Stealing some of the gold, he slips out of Erebor in the dead of night to make deals where he can. It goes surprisingly well.

At least, it does until Enjolras finds out.

He sees Grantaire as a traitor who has stolen from him; another outsider there to rob him.

‘You are banished from here! Never to return! I thought you a friend! But it is clear you believe in nothing.’ ‘...I believed in you.’

In a fit of frustration and rage, Grantaire leaves the mithril shirt behind in Erebor as he leaves - much to the chagrin of his friends who are all appalled with Enjolras’s decision. They have lost one friend due to Jehan’s capture. They were not keen to lose another.

Finally Javert and his army of the national guard (national orcs??) show up.

In a word of warning and attempt at intimidation, Jehan is shown to be their prisoner before being executed. With one final cry of ‘Long live the future!’ that holds all the hopes and dreams they had at the quest’s beginning, Jehan Prouvaire is no more.

Seeing his friend die so brutally is more than enough to snap Enjolras out of his madness and essentially the Battle of the Five Armies happen.

However, Grantaire and Enjolras end up being the last two alive. In a final battle with Javert, both are mortally wounded. It is only upon Valjean’s return that Javert is truly defeated.

Injured and instead, Grantaire finds Enjolras resting on the ground besides a rock. He utters one single phrase before sitting besides the dwarven king; ‘Do you permit it?’

A sharp nod from him is all R needs. Both are content to die at each other’s side.

Using the little strength he has left, Enjolras presses a brief kiss to Grantaire’s lips before uttering his final words; ‘If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world’.

The two die holding hands.

After their deaths, Marius is left as the only surviving member of their company. As such, he is crowned King Under The Mountain with Cosette as his queen.

The Amis are buried with the highest honours in the mountain’s tombs.

Grantaire and Enjolras are laid to rest side by side; the hobbit and his dwarven king laid together always.
