Why do you support Snape even if he did what he did in the books? He’s a thirty year old man who made the boy who has flashbacks to his parents being tortured to the point where he didn’t recognise him, Snape made himself, Neville’s worst fear and we see proof of this is Prisoner of Azkaban. Since you’re Dionysus’ favourite daughter, it was only natural you and Percy would meet at a party

You’d heard a lot about the boy from the amount of complaining your father would do. Whenever Dionysus entered his children’s cabin in a bad mood, you knew he was about to yap about the bane of his existence, Perry Jameson

You, however, had nothing against Percy. You’d spoken to each other a few times and from what you could gather, he was really friendly, just awfully sarcastic

You wanted to get to know him more, though. You couldn’t help it, you were curious. And he’s really hot, especially when he’s on lifeguard duty at the beach and when he’s helping the younger kids train

So when your half-brother Pollux pitches the idea of throwing a party, simply because life was getting pretty dry at the time, you made sure Percy was the first on the list of invitees. This had earned you a teasing glance from Pollux, but you brushed it off. You didn’t like Percy, he was just super cute and nice so you wanted to be his friend, duh!

However, unbeknownst to you, the gears in your brother’s head were turning. He knew Percy at least thought you were really pretty (as he should), since he’d overheard one of his friends talking about it a while back. He also knew you thought Percy’s really handsome. Finally, he is his father’s son, which means he loves nothing more than to have a little fun

Pollux saved Percy’s invite for last. He made his way over to Poseidon’s cabin, a grin on his face as he knocked on the door

“Hey Pollux, is everything okay?” Percy asked, drying his wet hair as he looked down at the boy, who simply handed him an envelope sealed shut with burgundy wax in the shape of a cluster of grapes

Confused, Percy opened it, reading through the card, which was designed by you. While Percy was distracted, Pollux pulled his ultimate move, “y’know, Y/N requested for me to invite you herself. I don’t know why, but you must be pretty important to her!”

His words had their desired result. You see, Pollux decided to use the element of surprise to his advantage - so he could see Percy’s unveiled reactions and, from there, be able to confirm his feelings about you

Immediately, Percy’s head shot up, his face turning a bright shade of pink as he said, “I’ll be there! 11PM, right?”

“Yep! I’ll tell Y/N you’re coming, she’ll be so delighted! You should try speaking to her alone at the party, I think she wants to tell you something.”

Gods, he was such a genius

For the rest of the day, you noticed your brother was acting awfully strange. When confronted, he simply started talking about how excited he was for this party and how he thinks it’ll be the best one yet

So you brushed his behaviour off. You weren’t going to shame him for that, especially because you were excited too. You loved a good party, but this would be the first time Percy attended one

Butterflies fluttered around in your stomach as you decorated your cabin, really hoping he’d like it. Okay, maybe you lied about not liking Percy like that. Truth is, you’d been harbouring a crush on him for a couple months now, the only thing stopping you from doing anything about it being your father

It wasn’t even because he’s a literal God. You genuinely love and have a lot of respect for the guy. Sure, he tended to be a little grumpy and rude with other kids at camp, but he was the best parent you could ask for

Your mortal parent wasn’t the nicest, so after two years of only spending the summer at camp, you began staying year-round, not wanting to deal with them anymore. It was hard at first, especially because they hadn’t cared to wonder where you were, but your father was there for you through it all

He’d had a soft spot for you ever since you were a baby, and was absolutely crushed when Zeus told him to keep his distance or else he’d regret it. When you showed up at camp all those years later, Dionysus felt complete. His sweet girl came back to him

Of course, he wouldn’t voice those thoughts, but you knew how he felt

He loved you so much, how could you go and date the one demigod he couldn’t stand?

Still, the heart wants what it wants, and you couldn't help but feel yourself gravitate towards Percy whenever he happened to be around

Soon enough, it was night time and while your father and Chiron were asleep in the big house, demigods from all cabins snuck out to attend your party.

Thanks to the Hecate kids, there was a sound muffling charm on your cabin, preventing anyone from hearing the loud music and other happenstances of the party

Every time you greeted someone, you prayed the next would be Percy. Pollux said he was coming, and while your brother liked to have fun, he wasn’t one to lie. Did Percy change his mind? Did he think your cabin was the lamest of the lame and therefore unworthy of his presence?

While you spiralled from inside your cabin, Percy spiralled from outside it (power couple in the making). He tried very hard to look handsome but at the same time like he didn’t put that much effort into his appearance, despite having spent hours picking out the right outfit and ruffling his hair just right

Just as he was about to knock on your cabin door, you burst out of it, bumping right into him

“I’m sorry, party’s ins–” you mumbled, the words dying in your throat once you noticed who you bumped into, “oh… hi Percy!” You greeted the boy, flattening your clothes and hoping you didn’t look awful (you looked MAJESTIC trust)

At the mere sight of you, Percy felt his ears turn red and struggled to get his words out, but in the end managed to say, “hi Y/N, what’re you doing out here?”

You sighed and sat on the steps leading up to cabin 12, and Percy sat next to you, giving you a tender smile. Smiling back, you said, “I just needed a little bit of air. More people showed up than I thought would,” that was true - you didn’t expect that many people to leave their cabins past curfew, but you didn’t care about that. However, you weren’t about to tell Percy you left the party because you were a little disappointed he didn’t show up

“Well, you guys do throw the best parties. Sometimes I can’t believe Mr D has this side hidden somewhere in him too,” Percy said, looking up at the night sky with you. Then, after a moment of silence passed between you, “your brother said you wanted to talk to me?”

Your head shot down at this, surprised, “he did?” You fought the urge to roll your eyes, knowing you should’ve expected this from Pollux

“Yeah… he said you invited me personally, and that there’s something you wanted to tell me?” He asked, his voice going up an octave around the end when he realised you had no idea what he was talking about, making his statement sound more like a question

You couldn’t hate your brother for this. You knew he had good intentions, and in the end, you did get some alone time with Percy, so it wasn’t too bad

Your eyes darted all over the place as you said, “oh! Well, I just think you’re really cool and kinda really want to be your friend. I know dad doesn’t like you that much, but I don’t share his opinion.”

After that, the tension between the two of you ebbed away, and a beautiful friendship began

To say your father was disappointed in your choice of company was an understatement. When he saw you and Percy together for the first time, he spoke to you as soon as he got the chance, ranting about how ‘Pierre Johnson’ is a no-good loser and how you should have higher standards

However, he tolerated it once he realised you weren’t going to stop being friends with Percy. He loved you more than he hated Percy, and besides, it's not like you were dating him, right?

Unfortunately, you really wished you were. Before befriending Percy, your crush on him was just because you thought he was nice and cute, you weren’t fully in love with him just yet

But now you knew more, like how he always slept with four pillows (two on each side, one under his head, one to hug) or how he had a small tattoo of a trident on his left ankle (which his mom lost her mind over when he showed her) or how contrary to popular belief amongst other people at camp, he hated the Little Mermaid (it was too unrealistic, especially in its depiction of his half-brother Triton)

You were absolutely infatuated with him

Percy really liked you too. Every day he spent with you made him feel as if he were on cloud nine, but he wanted more than games of Uno (Pollux would join because you need 3 people and also because he’s waiting for the day you let go of the cards and just kiss already) and late afternoon swims. He wanted to be able to hold your hand in public, declaring his love for you to the world

Honestly, you both could tell you felt the same about each other. You also could tell you had the exact same reason for not doing anything about said feelings - Dionysus

You considered yourselves grateful he didn’t send Percy straight to Tartarus just for being your friend, and knew that eventually becoming best friends was pushing it. Dating definitely wouldn’t slide

It wasn’t until Percy was hanging out with a certain friend of his from the Hermes cabin that he realised he didn’t care what your father decreed

Sighing, Percy lay on his old bed in the Hermes cabin, Travis Stoll sitting on the bed across him. After spending his first couple days at camp in cabin 11, Percy quickly befriended the Stoll brothers, who were always hospitable towards him back when he was new

Even after he moved out of the Hermes cabin, they remained friends, Travis and Connor telling Percy he could stay at their cabin again whenever he needed

“Look, I get it, Mr D’s super scary, but you’re also super in love with Y/N, which I think outweighs his scariness,” Travis told a moping Percy. You see, earlier that day, some guy from the Apollo cabin had come up to the two of you with the intention of taking you out on a date. Luckily, you politely declined, but he was just one of many potential suitors

What if eventually you found the perfect guy? One not only that you’d love, but that Dionysus would approve of?

The thought of that alone was what brought Percy to cabin 11, humbly asking Travis for some advice

“It does! But she wouldn’t wanna disappoint her dad, and I wouldn’t want her to lose him over me, y’know? Her relationship with her mortal parent’s already not the best, she can’t lose her immortal one too.”

The two sat in silence as Travis played with the whiteboard marker in his hand, which he was using to write a pros and cons list of Percy asking you out. He added ‘Mr D might hate her’ to the cons side, making the two equal

Just as they were about to continue their discussion, Travis’ girlfriend Katie walked in, a basket of freshly picked apples in her hand

“Trav, you’ve got to try these!” She exclaimed, her eyes glittering as she gave Travis an apple. The boy bit into it, his eyes widening in excitement once he realised what his girlfriend had done

“Oh my Gods Katie you did it!” He said once he’d finished chewing, littering her face with kisses, which made flowers bloom in her auburn hair. Percy simply sat in confusion, considering leaving and continuing this another day

Just as he was about to get up, Travis said something which stopped him. With Katie on his lap, he said, “see, Percy? There’s no way I could let Demeter stop me from dating my sweet girl.” (clawing at the bars of my enclosure as I write this)

Travis was right. No punishment Dionysus could possibly think of would make dating you not worth it

While Percy was with Travis, you were with the cabin counsellors of cabins 9 and 10, iconic couple Charlie Beckendorf and Silena Beauregard

Silena has been a very good friend of yours for years, seeing as she was the one who was there for you the most when you first came to camp, treating you like a little sister

So, naturally, when you have an issue in the love department, you go to her. This was one of those times

Being asked out by that Apollo kid made you realise something very important - you’d never fall for anyone the way you fell for Percy. Even a God would pale in comparison to his beauty and charm

That left you with two options: date Percy (and suffer your father’s wrath in the process) or live the rest of your life knowing he felt the same but doing nothing about it, simply settling for some other guy

You decided to settle this once and for all. You had to make a choice, and it would be right here, with Silena and Charlie

“I mean… you seem to really love Percy, babe. You don’t even have to say anything, I can tell,” Silena told you, running her fingers through her hair and giving you a kind smile

“He really likes you too,” Charlie piped in, “tells me about it all the time. Please date him, I’ve gotten sick of hearing about your twinkling eyes and magnetic aura.” His girlfriend laughed at this, leaning her head on his shoulder

You knew they were right. There was no way you could live the rest of your life with Percy being just your friend. But were you willing to lose your dad in the process?

Noticing the serious look on your face, Silena got up and came to sit next to you, wrapping her arm around your shoulder, “this is really hard, Y/N, trust me, we get it. When I was the first not to complete the rite of passage, I was really scared mom would punish me in one way or another - but she didn’t, and we’re happy now. The Gods rarely ever show it, but deep down, they do love their kids. We can all see how Mr D loves you, he’ll be able to deal with Percy as his son-in-law for your sake.”

You couldn’t believe you didn’t realise it sooner. Your father loves you. Why would he make your life miserable over dating Percy?

Thanking the couple, you ran to cabin 3, knowing what you had to do

Meanwhile, Percy was heading to your cabin. He would’ve missed you sitting at the steps of his if you hadn’t yelled his name, your hair all over the place as you ran towards him

“Percy I have to–”

“Y/N there’s something you should–”

The two of you spoke at the same time. Looking into each other’s eyes, you knew you were thinking the same thing. Immediately, Percy pulled you into his cabin, not waiting for a second before slamming his lips onto yours

And that’s how you began dating. Well, secretly. Only Travis and Katie, Silena and Charlie and Pollux knew about your relationship. You two were still too nervous to break it to your dad, and the others were all sworn to secrecy

Even though you couldn’t be too affectionate in front of others, being in a relationship with Percy was the best thing you ever experienced. He was so sweet and doting, always keeping an eye on you public and being physically incapable of letting go of you in private

Out of everyone who knew, your brother was the most excited about your relationship, always yapping about how if it weren’t for him you two wouldn’t even have become friends, let alone lovers

He was also the one to bring your little secret to an end

You see, Dionysus liked to check on his kids often. If it were up to him, you’d be living in the big house with him, but the other Gods saw that as unfair, so you were stuck in cabin 12

After being gone on Godly duties for a week, he’d come back to camp with you at the forefront of his mind. He couldn’t help but have a feeling you were hiding something important from him. He was sure it wasn’t anything, since you’re his pride and joy, but he decided to check anyway

When the door to his cabin opened, Dionysus was greeted by none other than his son, Pollux, who was very happy to see him. They sat and made small talk for a little bit - mostly about school and other mortal things Dionysus couldn’t keep up with - before he asked about your whereabouts

“Y/N? Oh, she’s in her room!” Pollux said, quickly slapping a hand over his mouth once he realised what he said. Yes, you were in your bedroom, but you weren’t alone. Percy also happened to be in your bedroom, and Pollux knew all too well what you and Percy liked to do in your bedroom (SAFE FOR WORK THINGS ONLY!!!!!)

He was about to take it all back, but it was too late. Immediately, Dionysus teleported into your room, where you were making out with Percy

By the time Pollux had gotten there, Percy was glued to the wall by a bunch of vines that were sprouting from the ground

“Let him go, dad!” You yelled, tears welling in your eyes as you clawed at said vines, “I’m sorry, I’ll break up with him if you want me to, just please don’t hurt him!” When Dionysus saw the pain in your eyes, he knew he’d made a terrible mistake. Taking a deep breath, he released Percy from the vines

Dionysus watched as you hugged Percy tightly, sobbing into his chest. His heart ached as he thought about your words: you’d break with him if he wanted you to. He never wanted his daughter to feel like she couldn’t love who she wanted because of him

“I’m… sorry, Y/N. I acted rashly,” he began, hesitant as he wiped the tears off of your face, “I don’t want you to love someone just to please me, I want you to love someone you love, and if that happens to be Pietro… then so be it.”

He’s surprisingly good at planning parties. Always thinks of the most creative themes and the cutest colour schemes!!!

Anyways so in my college SU meeting recently someone sent in a motion to make an official statement to condemn the war and call for immediate and permanent ceasefire + provide more support to the Jewish and Muslim/Arab students affected by increased hate in the community as well. This sparked a debate among those in attendance and of course there’s a few very pro-Israel voices that insists that a ceasefire will cause Israel to lose all ability to defend itself as well as many pro-Palestine arguments. The motion ended up discarded bc of procedural reasons but as someone who has mostly held a free Palestine view so far and has been hoping for a more inclusive Israel in the future, I don’t understand why stopping a war hurting both sides is taken as an Israel must disappear take by many. I always just accepted it as it’s probably got a lot more antisemitic undertone when it’s a Jew that hears it, but I really wanna hear ur take as well bc the debate I witnessed brought up very disturbing points that I can’t stop thinking about. Hope this didn’t end up sounding disrespectful and thanks for always sharing important Jewish viewpoints without undermining other social issues!"

First problem comes right with the opening sentence; "Hi, this a question abt ur opinion on what’s happening in Gaza just bc you’re one of my favourite blogs that goes deep into Jewish culture/issues."

Going to random Jews who do not post about the conflict and asking for their "stance" on it is part of a series of antisemitic loyalty tests and is extremely rude on top of it. Furthermore, speaking on Jewish cultures and issues and antisemitism is not the same as being experienced or knowledgeable on international conflicts.

And then your next paragraphs are of course riddled with anti-Israeli biases and examples that you've been listening to/reading propaganda uncritically, such as "wanting a more inclusive Israel" and in your more recent ask saying things like "I do understand that the whole concept of pushing for an Israel/jewish ethnostate is very much entwined with the history of Jewish culture and the antisemitism endured through different times". So you clearly have a basic lack of knowledge about both Israel and the conflict in general along with Zionism itself.

But, again, that's not an area I talk about much. If any of the folks who do talk about it, see this and want to go into it, please do! Just to repeat here, you shouldn't have been asking me in the first place.

Then, this part here, showed me that you have a history of dismissing antisemitism as Jews being overly sensitive "I always just accepted it as it’s probably got a lot more antisemitic undertone when it’s a Jew that hears it." And then that was compounded by your closing insult, "thanks for always sharing important Jewish viewpoints without undermining other social issues!"

And that closing insult told me that I had woefully failed in sharing any information about antisemitism at all. "Sharing important Jewish viewpoints without undermining other social issues". Jewish "viewpoints" and antisemitism are just as important as any other sort of bias. Pointing out antisemitism and sharing stories about antisemitism does not, and can not, undermine other social issues. It is not lesser. Honestly, I'm still kind of livid over that shot.

i almost got kidnapped 😁🙌🏻 ok so me and my friends were out and we were just hanging around outside walking and talking, so its getting a little dark right so we part ways and stuff so im on my way home and im like “i should get some snacks so i can watch movies and be comfortable” so as im walking to the little convenient store there’s this man outside he seems to be in is late 30s or early 40s so i nod towards him to be yk respectful like my and not be rude and act like i didn’t see him so i walk in get my snacks pay all that good stuff so i walk out as im walking down the street to my house i notice that same man is walking in the same direction and at first im like maybe he needs to go this way to but just to be safe i make a turn he later makes that same turn, then i walk down this like hill that leads to the rich peoples houses and he does the same thing and my stomach does that thing and im like “oh shit he’s following me” so im scared and my first instinct is to walk to somebody’s house and ask if i can stay there until i can get someone to come get me, so im speed walked to somebody’s house (i didn’t run be a that would have the sign that i knew he was following me i get to someone’s house (the lady’s was outside about to go in her house) and i asked her if i could come in and like stay and call my mom she was hesitant at first but then i think she could tell i was scared and she saw the man just staring at us across the street, so she lets me in and as soon as she lets me in and closed the door she starts asking me if im ok and why was the man following me i just bursted out crying, and then her husband came down stairs and he asked who was i and why was i crying and she tells him that i was being followed long story short her husband went outside beat his ass and dropped me off home 😁 that’s all for now toodles 😋🫶🏻

I am hurting because this world is messed up! I am angry because of how hypocritical and difficult pple can be. I am angry because of how easily pple forget things when new things start happening. I am angry because of all the hate Jimin gets because of all this nonsense. Do u think I believe in Jikook because i want to? Hell no! If it were left to me, i would NEVER put Jimin in this mess! They have always been there and even now, that we barely get any jikook interactions they are still there! You say i see things with a tunnel vision? No! I don’t. Hun, when you have nothing to hide, you are your most comfortable. It’s not the same when u have alot to hide or be guilty for. Think about Jk’s personality and it fits personally. Jk has had his bold moments with Jimin and that is why Jikook moments that JK initiates are the loudest! When Jk is in control, he is bold, when he isn’t, he gets extremely standoffish with Jimin. But u know the thing about edits, or shorts, they are extremely deceptive cuz u don’t see what happens b4 or after. Why do you think there are tons of Taekookers? Why do you think Taekook edits always get hits? It’s cuz it’s usually all sweet and beautiful, plus you taekookers are gifted when it comes to editing. I just saw an edit u posted below, of Jk apparently whispering something to Tae and Tae coming to stand by his side after that! It’s cute and beautiful and anyone will see that and believe TK is real but what is not shown is what ACTUALLY happened. I dare you to find that full video and watch and tell me if what is shown in that edit is really what happened. Just check and see what i am saying. You know why there aren’t that many jikookers? No it’s not cuz many more pple can clearly see TK’s love. Its not cuz Jikook is obviously not real and only Jokers believe them. And then you go and spend the whole night (at least to me it was nighttime) creating another account, pretending to be someone else (when your wording clearly gives you away) and sending me 4 more lengthy asks. Can you not see how that is a little troublesome? I am going to block you after this, and I will block you every time in the future, because you make me uncomfortable, and that is not because of the information you send me, but because you have made me too important. Who cares what I think! Honestly, i am not that much of a big deal.

You don't know this, but I am a trained media and literature researcher and analyser. I have training in psychology, sociology and journalism. All on a high level. I'm not practising those in my proffesion, but I know what I'm doing. You coming to my blog calling me "hun" and "dear" every few seconds comes of as condescending.

From your follow-ups it becomes clear we think very differently about what body language means and how Jk and Jimin and Tae react to those things. You see Jk resisting Jimin as a sign of him not knowing what to do, but he does love him... I see it as Jk claiming his personal space, because you just don't let anyone in there. Tae and Jk have always been more receptive of each others touches, you say so yourself. People are most comfortable with their partners, that is just such a normal logical way of thinking. I know camera's make everything different, but not that. Not the leaning into touches, the not shrugging them of, the familiarity of it all. It's a safe feeling, and that how it is between Tae and Jk... but you admit to seeing that yourself. Jk shrugs of other members too, but not as obviously, because the other members are less prone to be intimate themselves. There are just less moments of that happening in general. We see Jk differently. I agree that he was less receptive of skinship in general early on. He grew into it though. He came to like it and he came to be a generous instigator of skinship himself. Both Jimin and Tae helped him with that I feel. But it is obvious (and you say so yourself) that Tae was the one Jk leaned on and learned from the most. Tae is the thread that leads throughout Jk's whole development. Jimin had a development too. A seperate one. A tough one, that I feel he has struggled with a long time. Jimin struggled (and maybe still does) with a lot of insecurities. Both he and other members have talked about how hard he practised and how much work he put in. I think one of the reasons Jimin did part of promo with Yoongi is because he still struggles with insecurities. Jimin has had to work hard on becoming who he is now and allowing for his softer side. I think Jk might have played a part in that... being the cute little brother type. And I think Jimin allowed himself to be softer around Jk because of that age difference. He probably was hurt by Jk... because Jk has edges and he does not like being babied. He probably also saw the way Tae and Jk were and wanted to be able to do the same, since Tae and him are the same age. Those moments of hurt you talk of... are Jimin's personal struggles.

When I read this frst part of your asks I thought to myself "they have experienced heartbreak like what they describe here" and to no surprise of mine you talk about that in your next ask. This is personal to you. You identify with Jimin (i feel) and you make exuses for Jk (your ex-partner). I feel sorry for you having been in a situation that hurt you. But you cannot project this onto Jimin and Jk. Always be aware of your own biases. I have mine, and I always take those into account. I can also see parts of me in Jk. I am also an introvert who is able to switch 'on'. A lot of what I see Jk do and how he responds to both Tae and Jimin fits in how I would expect him to. None of us are male-queer-idols-in-SK though.

We differ in the way we see Jk and Jimin and Tae, and we differ in the way we think Bighit/Hybe allows them to be free. I think there is no way they'll allow an actual queer couple to be open like how you describe it. It goes against SK standards, Sk's way of dealing with idols, the music industry in general, the way boybands are marketed in general... none of those make it likely that Bighit/Hybe would let Jikook be as 'obvious' as Jkkrs in general make it seem. The way Taekook have been portrayed though, that does fit the picture.

You say Jimin tried to kiss Jk several times on camera... that is not what that is! It is playful, seductive maybe... but it is for the camera's. Look up tension between Hopemin or Vmin even... please do!

I could go on and on really, but I'm not going to disect all those moments you sent me. I do not have time for that, and I am not insecure about those. Please stop looking at my blog for your own sanity.

wanted to share w/ you a little bit about my girls trip to nyc too!! it was my friend’s 23rd birthday so our whole friend group surprised her w/ a weekend trip to new york as a bday present!! OMG a funny story that happened on our first night there, we all went to this club to celebrate and these group of guys kept being so pushy and gross towards me and my friends. one of them insisted on buying me a drink but he just made me so uncomfy that i didn’t want to even be near him. i tried to decline nicely but he was so persistent. what was funny was that he saw my lockscreen and it was a pic of jongseong in the gym and he immediately backed off bc he thought it was my bf so thank you jay bc he was able to get me out of that situation😭😭

just finished reading the chapter when i’m supposed to be sleeping and am spooked 😭 is this an allusion to what mc put quinn through or an event mc went through that traumatized quinn? Because the tape on the wrists and glass shards in the hair had me a bit stumped on what could’ve happened if it were to be a near death experience for mc or something. So we know that MC can swim and she’s good enough to have been competitive. And then from chapter ten, Slumber Party:

Two ripped-open bags of ice, the kind you get from a gas station, are set just outside the door, the melted remnants of their contents pooling in the plastic. They look like they have been there for a very long time.

And MC is described as:

“water-logged”, “blackened with frost-bite”, her lips are blue and she’s “icy-cold”.

So we’ve got two mentions of plastic bags of ice and a lot of weirdness around water. To note as well: Quinn doesn’t make any connections between any of this and her memories; the only thing she draws a connection with is how the MC’s face looks gaunt and hollow, like it did before she was clean. The rest of it doesn’t ring any bells. The state MC is in is not recognizable to her.

I received this literally a minute after the last ask so I feel like either you're the same person that sent both, or it's one of your friends.

Planning MM, I had always planned for him to be the first one OC presses a blade to a throat for, because I could picture no one else in that role. This is just how I've chosen to characterize him.

As for the 'everyone just dogs on him for no reason' line of yours, I literally don't know what you mean? He literally threatens OC four times in MM after she spared his life multiple times, and in HC, sure they may tease him, but they all tease each other. And in terms of the incident at the end of chapter 17, it was an emotional response because he was scared. Which is explained quite thoroughly though the subsequent next three chapters and the remorse he feels immediately after. HJ even says the line "you know as well as I do that he says things he doesn't mean when he's upset" or something along those lines, so I'm really confused as to why you would label HC Hwa as an asshole there. Sure, he said a shitty thing and fucked up, but I'm pretty sure it's obvious how overprotective he is and how much he cares for the oc.

Need I also remind you that these are yandere stories. Not every character is going to be nice, and I have an easier time writing archetypes that fit the idol's face claim for me in my mind for plot purposes than when they do not.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, but sending an anon message like that to an author, it is difficult to indicate tone. You may have been joking, but I do not know who you are behind these screens, and as such, please do not send me jokes along those lines. I do not appreciate it, and it catches me hella off guard because I cannot determine tone indicators. Nor are we close like that for me to assume such, especially when your message is coming in on anon.

Like, it's so easy to come back and say 'oh, it's just a joke, don't get offended' after the fact.

I really only have two ateez fics, the rest are drabbles, and only two fics with Hwa as an established character. Like?? You're really only using a sample of two characters, I don't think that's a good basis for critique. Especially when one of them isn't even a direct asshole to the OC.

So, yeah, of course asks like that, whether you're joking or not, are going to shock me. Dare I say, even irritate me a little.

UGH I HATE MY PAST SELF SO MUCH AAAAAAAA

Okay okay let me just explain, I once fell in love with this boy, and then once I started oversharing and venting and being overall pretty clingy, he started ignoring me !!

I sent him this long text asking him why and that I just wanted him to tell me why (and hopefully talk to me again) and he sent me this long text back saying he did have a crush on me and I felt so happy :)

Mmm idk if you’re asking for my thoughts in a sane and logical mindset or if you’re looking for a more outlandish and mentally unstable reply I’ll give you both though.

Sanely I believe your friends made the right move. He does not seem like he’d be a good s/o if he’s already so disinterested in you when you’re going through a bad patch. Of course if you warned him and explained to him that you’re going through a lot during that time and he just sees that as you being unpleasant then that is concerning and a red flag. However he’s not entirely at fault for feeling that way. He knows he’s not the right person to deal with that and made a correct decision in removing himself from your life. Also if you didn’t tell him what you’re going through he could’ve possibly just assumed you’re a very pessimistic person and didn’t want to deal with that. Again, he would not be in the wrong for setting boundaries or sticking to his ideal type. You friends sound like great people. They helped you avoid a worse heartbreak and it’s good that you deleted the messages so you wouldn’t be so attached and clingy on to every bit of hope and reminiscing causing yourself greater pain. I do think he remembers you however that does not guarantee such feelings would still be in tact.

Now off the meds… this is your chance to slowly wiggle yourself back into his life. You could slowly start talking to him again copying the way he talks learning his interests and then getting into them. You could scope out who he hangs with and who he seems to be close with then become friends with them to get closer to him. Maybe bring him up in a conversation once in a while never too frequently to the point they know what you’re doing just enough to learn how he acts around them and what he does while not around you. He liked you before you can definitely manipulate him into loving you again and if you can’t then you should change yourself so that you can get what you want. It’s all about the approach. Text him again once you guys start talking. Some people like clingy and some don’t. Some like straight forward and others like to be in control. You need to read him properly and go from there.

Now, I do see where you’re coming from and completely understand your points, which are good points! But I guess my issue with it would stem from the fact that it’s so easy to read their rules.

I get reading a persons fic’s without going to their page. That’s fine because you’re just reading, especially if they don’t ask you to view anything or have any rules, etc etc. But when requesting, I feel you probably should read them to see what the creator is okay with and not.

(Ron + Ginny anon) Omg! I love talking about Weasley dynamics too! I also think I didn’t like Ginny because one time in like book 6 or 5 or something she said something rude to Hermione about quidditch && I was like Bitch!!! But obvi that’s not fair haha. (And it must be said Hermione could be quite mean too, so it’s good to have those layers sometimes).

I also really love the way you write Hermione/Ginny/Mrs. Weasley interactions. I definitely agree that Hermione’s relationship with that family was far different than Harry’s and she was seen as more disposable in some ways - like when Mrs. Weasley was hostile during fourth year. Hermione - despite making fun of Fleur - was always (IMO) much closer to being a “Fleur” to Molly than she was to being a “Harry”.

With Hermione + Ginny, I really enjoy that kind of tension you write that’s mostly unspoken about but sometimes boils to the surface. And it’s not just tension about Harry, even though they both “want” him- they are kind of foils to eachother: brainy vs sporty, emotional vs non-emotional (ex: harry saying hermione cries a lot and he appreciates ginny never crying), brash boldness vs calculating boldness. I agree that there was a moment - maybe fourth/fifth year - where they could have really bonded and become close, but for whatever reasons diverged and then became more and more separated. I also think that, while Ginny could provide Harry with that comfort & familiarity, it’s just that HHR were in that tent together and in that war by eachother and they will always have that.

I think it's so interesting to approach Ginny/Hermione as foils which, if you think about it, would pit them against each other naturally. When I first read HP, I wanted really to know why Hermione was never framed (or rather, it was mostly implied) as someone that would have female friends and maybe that fourth, fifth year time period could have been that moment.

It's hard for me because I can definitely see why it's so difficult for Hermione to have friends in general act Hogwarts and where, in her head, it might be best to be the brightest, the boldest, and the loudest as if to claim some inherent spot in the Wizarding World. I think that there is where her Muggle upbringing could come in - how is she outside Hogwarts, the Wizard World, etc. I'm definitely of the mind where I do think she's equally brilliant in her studies and might have maintained a few close friends. I think all the Muggle students and their worldviews would be fascinating to explore; like in real time, how do they respond to historical events. What would have happened had they all left during the official war declaration where lmao my Hermione-doctor head canon truly comes from.

I think the tent-canon event is really where the intimacy of what Harry/Hermione could be is it for me. You see two kids edging adulthood in a really dark and terrible situation, but viewing each other with mutual respect, etc. I think Hermione is truly in love with him there and probably, at some point, resigned herself to the idea that she could only love him from afar because Harry is/was too big for her.

okay cig anon back (don’t love that name but we’re rolling with it) about the guy who i mentioned was fit last time

so i was talking to a mutual friend of ours about him and how i think he’s fit and wanna get with him. she then (while drunk tbf) tells him i said this and he said he loves me like a sister (big sad). he then starts to get with another girl in our group and they’re doing god knows what rn.

HOWEVER today he text me saying that he knew that i wanted to get with him and i said it was all good now and i knew he wasn’t interested anyway. he then said “who said i said that”. i was like u did when u said u saw me like a sister wtf

anyway but he then said he didn’t want to do anything with me while him and this other girl are going whatever. but the other girl wants to call things off between them bc she found a new guy (but she’s not 100% sure whether she fully wants to end things or not) so then i don’t know whether to shoot my shot or not.
