why do all of the options for talking to wyll after mizora's punishment feel so mean? the poor guy just got sent through the tortures of the nine hells and had his body permanently changed, and it's clear that all of this is because mizora was deceiving him, and you're telling me i can't just...check in on him? like what's even the point of having five different options if all of them are just different flavors of "you had it coming"? i think he's been beaten down enough by the devil who just showed up to fuck him over and treat him like something less than human while doing it, let me just be nice to him!!!!!

yes, this exactly. there’s a post somewhere in my drafts talking about how much i love half light. i used to dislike him bcuz i didn’t understand him as a skill but i get it know. i deemed him a “useless skill” when that’s so far from the truth you gotta look INWARD. what a guy, that half light

Have you heard of the "Crowley is Malleus' dad" theory going around? Where Prince Levan (or whatever his name is) didn't actually die and just went out to get some milk and is now known as Dire Crowley, the silly man? The implications of that theory is absolutely hilarious when you think about it
hold on, we can figure this out, we just need LISTS
PROS THAT CROWLEY IS SECRETLY REVAAN/LEVAN/LAVERNE/WHATEVER:
unspecified fae of some kind, with similar coloring to Mal
the animal masks are apparently a Briar Valley thing
has some kind of big blackmailable secret that was alluded to in episode 4, and then as far as I know never brought up again
(unless this was just Azul bullshitting, which is extremely possible)
based on Diablo, which...maybe means something?
has canonically worn Dad Shorts
CONS:
(gestures to Crowley's entire personality)
NO LISTEN Revaan was the guy they sent off on diplomatic missions and to take care of delicate political situations, and...look, I love this dweeb, but would you trust Crowley to be in charge of negotiating your war treaties
despite my brain insisting on reading his name as "Raven", Revaan's title does imply that he was also a dragon (or super into longan berries, I'm not ruling that out)
currently unclear why Lilia "my closest friend Revaan...he is no longer with us...I used to make fun of him for being kind of a priss about eating jerky..." Vanrouge has somehow not noticed or said anything
Malleus' Aloof Anime ~Aristocrat~ vibe had to come from somewhere, and by all accounts it was NOT his mom's side of the family
???:
turns into a bird in the opening, I don't know if that means anything but it's kinda cool, I guess
all that aside, if Malleus and Yuu are any indication, then the Draconias have...questionable taste in their social choices. so anything is possible!

Thought of another specific thing I miss from Early Access: Astarions anger and his lines if you are cruel and dismissive about his dreaming about Cazador. This scene right here.
Quick recap: when everyone else dreams of someone they're physically attracted to, someone tempting them to use the tadpoles, Astarion dreams of Cazador. He's pissed off about everyone else talking about their little steamy dreams, while he probably went through hell all night.
You had to pass a persuasion check to get him to even trust you enough to reveal he dreamed about Cazador, explaining that that was his old master, and Tav then had the option to tell him: "I wouldn't think you'd want a master in the bedroom", to which he reacts with a bout of vicious anger.
I just really miss his lines there:
"You know what separates us from animals? Choice. I choose to travel with you. A dog would do it on instinct. To fulfil a need. Disrespect me again, and I won't choose to kill you. I'll do it on instinct. To fulfil my need to hear you scream."
It's said so with so much anger and hurt (seriously, go listen to those lines if youve not heard them bc writing cant do them justice), I miss the insight it gave us into not only his relationship with Cazador, how the tadpole manipulates him differently than the rest of the party, and how he lashes out in anger at being hurt/threatened.
With how much the tadpole dreams have changed, ofc it was cut, but that line especially really cuts deep and I'm sad it's gone now.
