Oh yeah Back In The Day there was a 12 book and one bonus side adventures collection about him as a (very) young teenager. They were short, quick reads that felt aimed at the 10-12 crowd but at a lower reading level. Will's parents, Teague, Tia Dalma, Davy Jones, a 10 year old Norrington and a few others feature as well. Also I don't remember the witch's name but that cover art of hers definitely Did something to me as a bby queer.

There was also the Brethern Court series where he was in his early 20s, just starting as a pirate lord on the Pearl with barbossa as first mate. They read at the same level but in my opinion should have been written for/aimed at young adults/teens.

And then there was The Price of Freedom, aimed at adults and reads like its for adults (complete with sex and violence and a [slightly] more nuanced approach to historical atrocities than the movies had), and while I haven't finished it yet, its amazing and just a damn good pirate novel, even divorced from the source material. It has writing as good as the first film.
