I used to be on andy side and thought robert was a prick because i only saw bits of jack/andy/robert sudgens story etc but watched classic emmerdale/old clips and more i can understand robert attitude towards them like grr andy and jack are annoying hypocrites and actually feel for robert and can why he turned out the way he is now.

Glad you’ve torn yourself free from the shackles of emmerdales nefarious Andy/Jack Sugden apologism and revisionist history anon! Robert managing to overcome his childhood to become the fine upstanding citizen we know and love today is possibly the most inspirational underdog story in human history

Bet Charlie Vickers is delighted that all his scenes now are going to be Mordor heavy and pretty much confined to him and orcs or uruk hai. Have to admit the reveal didn't surprise me at all i was sus for most of the series about him. But yeah disappointing the hottest cast member is the big bad lol.

I like it in the sense that Sauron was still able to present himself as beautiful in the second age (and if there's one thing we can agree on, he's VERY pretty), and I also like that it totally knocks a romance with Galadriel on the head because that would've killed me. I disagree that he'll be confined to Mordor in the second season too, he still has to forge and distribute the nine and and the seven and wield the one obviously, and Sauron is a big player (probably the biggest player) in the downfall and destruction of Numenor, so unless they completely disregard solid canon he'll have to spend a good chunk of time there and elsewhere in middle earth. But I do agree that it's a little bit of an anticlimax, I quite liked the theory that he was the witch king. That said, I prefer predicable to space Gandalf being Sauron so.... yeah.
