I’ve been out of the loop for batim/batdr for so long how did it change the lore?

none of the ink creatures are sacrificed staff members forced into a fate worse than death anymore. they're just ink creatures in a parallel dimension that joey drew made bc he was feeling pissy

in addition, it's not the real henry in there. joey was mad at henry so he made a fake henry just to torture him over and over

then allison was his Friend and so he decided to add her to the torture labyrinth to make things easier on fake henry. didnt stop the torture labyrinth tho

then he made himself a daughter out of ink and he wasn't the big evil corporate boss at all he was the Awesome Dad who encourages audrey to use her imagination and hope and shit. entire second game just forgot that he was supposed to be the villain

also in a very fanservicey way, bendy now can turn into his cute lil demon form and be audrey's little brother

a lot of people like it but it really really felt like fanservice above story to me. mascot horror isn't always like, good horror, but the first bendy really WAS. it had a great aesthetic, great designs, and was really effective in the implications of being sacrificed to an "and i must scream" demonic existence by one man's pride and lack of care (ie: capitalism) and the second game was just like "actually joey drew was a good guy the whole time and the real bad guy is this Random Obviously Evil Employee over in the corner and audrey's fixing the torture labyrinth so there's a little less torture <3"

i did like the idea of color animation being an anti-bendy threat but they literally did fuckall with that, just had the new bad guy like... mention it?? and then do nothing with it.

i feel like part of it also might have been that "trying to outsmart the fandom" thing. a popular theory, at least in my circles, was that henry was a bendy creature– the sacrificed staff had to be "perfect" for the role (IE: the two alice angels) and the first bendy was made without souls and that's why it was fucked up, and then joey realized the perfect bendy was his creator so he yeeted henry in, and that's why we never see our own hands or reflection + respawn in ink + sammy lawrence tries to sacrifice us immediately. god how fucking cool would it have been to, like, hear henry over loudspeakers trying to help us, and then we walk into the room he's in and just see BENDY.

but yeah no bendy's just a cute lil guy in the corner who can sometimes hulk into the ink monster bc... that was a thing in fanfics? joey drew is a good guy and good dad and the real enemy is the exploited worker. FUCK the original game's really good horror and atmosphere amiright

anyway i get why people like it i guess but hhh it really doesn't land for me. honestly im just pretending the first game is the only canon it was way more interesting

so lemme just put it out there: using AI for generating art, nevermind if for a joke or seriously, in this point of time, plain sucks

i’m refering here to that bendy highschool crush anime thing whatever i refuse to interact with stuff about this so i’m not exactly familiar but what matters is that it was AI generated AND even more so it was not mentioned anywhere that it was until people started pointing it out

there’s a few problems with that

first one is obvious - just the use of AI - as yall probably know its been a highly controversial topic these past few months, because of course it’s built on thief - first stealing artists’ work and then stealing their jobs; a joke or not it STILL uses that based in thief technology... though there do exist some AIs that asks artists for constent, for example the one that deviantArt created recently (and people misunderstood and spread a lot of false information about but oh well that’s a whole other thing) BUT generally these services for AI generation of images steal from artists - and not only! - they just take anything they can find fitting on the internet, even stock images and there was a case about a stock image site suing one of these AI services because *yeah* it’s just thief

another layer to all that adds the context of the game they made itself... like... BATIM/BATDR’s story is at its core about exploitation of artists and - apparently wether they like it or not - evils of capitalism (i still cant comprehend how Mike Mood can be anti union after making a game like this but like lol). it’s about art, about struggle with it and it’s just soooo out of touch to do something like this for a company making such game like hello?? if you wanna take from how artists are abused in big corporations then maybe have some decency and don’t use tools that abuse artists??? like that’s just so in bad taste man i have no words

then comes the fact that they waited with mentioning that AI is used is in the video. it STILL isn’t in the description of the video (the time im making this post is 13th april 2023 so the vids been up for 12 days), which i think AIs these days even require to be given credit?? but either way a lot of people didn’t even realize AI was used and i don’t blame them, not everyone pays attention to details or has an eye for them, this is why such information should be included... if it supposedly was meant to be “part of the joke” all along

which i find hard to believe? sure it came out on april first but.. how exactly is it a part of the joke? the AI generation was simply used for making the art for this fictional joke game. it could have as well been drawn by a real artist and no part of the joke would have been lost because it’s not part of the joke at all? like it’s not mentioned anywhere and it’s not obvious (Meatly even said they heavily photoshoped the images because they looked bad) so i’m asking how exactly AI being used is part of the joke here because it just seems like it was used as a mean of creation here and there was an attempt to hide that it was done at all

and if they really didn’t wanna spend time and effort on drawing it themselves (i get it, they might be busy with other things) then just A. don’t?? make anything?? or B. use an AI that doesn’t steal from artists and credit it so people know? and if it’s reeeeaaally a part of the joke then actually make it part of the joke? even a singular line of commentary laughing off at AI would make this actually work but there’s just nothing

i’m glad that Meatly said they aren’t planning on using it for anything serious but using it for a joke is still using it like sorry but that’s just how it is

and the whole ordeal of not saying what AI it is just rubs me the wrong way because high chance is they aren’t doing that because this AI is one of those that steal from artists so... eh... like i realize this is an assumption but i think it’s fair to be a bit skeptical about them after everything they’ve done :’)

It truly is a nostalgic day to come back here to theorize with you.

Now I've been thinking about this for a while since the trailer came out, what If the ink demon isnt really dead ? What If he was replaced by Wilson.

The true ink demon actually is Dapper Bendy, He gives off a vibe that he wouldn't hurt a inky fly and what if somehow He was actually cleansed.

But since he wanted to appear more victorious he Just locked him cuz Something Something plot armor !

Heck, maybe we need to make him remenber and snap out of It ! That's why in some old teasers bendy seemed like a body guard to Audrey.

If somehow I see you right, something I can't see much but let's give It a shot, Wilson could be the one eyed bendy we all been waiting for.

At this point anything can happen. As I recall, we had several theories regarding the Ink Demon and this new Dapper Bendy. For one, it's interesting that the ink creatures never refer to the Ink Demon as "Bendy", like they know that there's another and they're trying to differenciate them. Plus, I've been theorizing on the existence of a second Bendy since forever, lol.

Another theory is that Dapper bendy is actually the Ink Demon subjected to that strange anti-melt potion Audrey is holding in the official batdr merchandise. This would explain why Wilson is hailed as the Ink Demon's killer, yet the Ink Demon is back in BATDR all of the sudden. Like maybe Wilson found a way to neutralize Inky by turning him into Dapper, but he run out of whatever was inide that potion, causing him to transform back into the Ink Demon?

Another possible explanation is that Dapper is Joey Drew. Since the trailer has even more hints of Joey being Bendy, and we know from the novels that 1) Jeoy is dead by the time of batdr and 2) Joey said some cryptic comments in TIOL that even if he dies, his soul will not rest. So where would he go?

Also, regarding that mysterious comment by Wilson about it being 211 days since Ink Demon's "death'. I checked several calculation and though they all seem to calculate the date differently, there are some saying that 211 days ago was 4/14, which is what I believe M&M were going for with that extremely specific number in the trailer. If we check the unknown's audio log from 4/14, he seems to have found something "very interesting". This would imply that the Ink Demon disappeared on the same day we witnessed Henry's loop in batim. it was also the last time we saw Joey Drew alive. I wonder if these two facts are connected? No one ever said that Joey died from natural causes, Wilson might have killed him.

I'm a huge Bendy fan and I'm in love with Bendy And The Dark Revival, especially the Ink Demon himself. I ship him with Audrey(the player character), and I ship that HARD. Those two have some Major Chemistry. Probably in part thanks to the Ink Demon's voice actor, who literally admitted that the way he played the character, the Ink Demon was flirting with Audrey and basically trying to seduce her.

"There's this flirtatious sensuality that comes through the inky terror." His exact words. YEAH NO SHIT, INK DEMON SOUNDS THIRSTY AF IN A YANDERE KINDA WAY THE WAY HE TALKS TO AUDREY

Spoilers ahead!

Anyway, there are also people who believe Audrey and the Ink Demon are technically siblings, since they were both created from the same ink by Joey Drew, except! Joey treated Audrey as his daughter and raised her as such and loved her, while he had nothing but disgust and contempt for the Ink Demon and treated him like an abomination that should have never existed. Joey was a father to Audrey, but not to the Ink Demon. I can rant all day about how the Ink Demon didn't deserve to be treated that way, he's not truly evil he's actually traumatized and angry, and it's not his fault he ended up as a vengeful, domineering creature in BATDR, but that's not my point here.

My point is basically that I do not believe the Ink Demon and Audrey are siblings and don't need to be treated as such, any more than Allison Angel and Tom Boris would be siblings just because they're made from the same ink by the same creator. (Btw Allison and Tom were married when they were living humans, so that ship is pretty much canon) It's fine if you headcanon that they are and want them to have that kind of relationship! But I'm worried that there will be antis that will start screaming about how you can't ship them because that's iNcEsT.

That said, I'm gonna write a fic where Audrey is gonna get seduced and railed by the Ink Demon while he holds her close and tells her that she belongs to him because she's made of the same ink that makes up his entire domain and also his own being and I'm gonna make it intimate and loving but in a lowkey terrifying way uwu

I am (or we are) a polyfrag multigenic system with npd, bpd aspd, and possible hpd along with several other mental illnesses. I experience psycosis, I have adhd and autism, and I have several controversial special interests. Get used to that if you stay here.

I will not censor my thoughts here. If you wanna be friends then you should know im a two-faced cowardly bitch who loves attention and pushing others away. I do not fucking trust you <3

That being said if I say something bigoted or unjust, lmk. I’m incredibly aware of my potential impact on others, and I pride myself on being helpful, non-harmful, and using progressive language. I am physically disabled.

(That is to say, in non aspd language: pls lmk if I say smth offensive. I genuinely want to learn and become more aware, as its important to me that im not harming others with my language or actions. Call my bullshit out (politely!) and I will be more than willing to accommodate and adjust!)

I am currently in an environment where I cannot safely seek treatment or therapy for my personality disorders & systemhood at the moment, however I am educated on mental health, mental illness, and psychology (self researched). I also plan to pursue a career in social work or psychology.

(Due to be edited,,, eventually) Welcome, this is my "anonymous" blog for kin stuffs like doodles, rants, reblogs etc.

Things to know-

Name- Bendy (only Bendy on this blog)

Pronouns- He/they

Kin forms-

Toon form- The one I am most often, just the regular Bendy design. Has Wally Frank's voice but pitched up a little bit. Every part that isn't ink such as my gloves and face are paper, though the ink has seeped so much into it that it's soft enough to move like skin. Also the details such as the eyes, mouth and glove dots are just ink. Drawn on.

Blendy- Some in-between form my mind spawned. Helps when my mind "glitches" (when it tries making me a character I don't wanna be). It has a single eye styled like the lost ones on one side and is inconsistent depending on need (like having hooves if the character in question has them)

Ink demon- Only the BATIM one. Very close to canon. No my mouth doesn't open. Same paper thing. I am not beast or the BATDR one.

Extra stuffs-

I don't mind doubles, but sometimes it confuses me because I register what isn't me as me if that makes sense

I am uncomfortable with most if not all ships of any characters

I get uncomfortable from crossover batim aus
