GUESS WHO FINALLY GOT HER WI-FI BACK!

Me, that’s right.

Which means I can start writing again, and I won’t be MIA for much longer. Thank you all for being so understanding. I can’t wait to catch up on all that I’ve missed and interact with you all again.

Putting a read more now for those who don’t want to read this little life update.

Uni starts in less than two weeks, and I’m pretty nervous about how that’s going to affect the time I have to write because I’ve already got a reading assignment and I’m way behind on that. But anyway, I’ll find time. I’ve been gone for so long, I need to get back into it. And it’ll help me get through Uni if I write a lot in my free time. I’m majoring in English and minoring in sociology, after all.

So, I’m going to watch the Eras Tour Movie tonight, which means I’m obviously not going to be able to write tonight, but tomorrow’s Saturday and I’ve got no plans, so I’m definitely getting back to it then. And I’ll see what I can do about Kinktober because my fingers are ITCHING.

AND I finally finished my wall, for those of you who care. Call me interior designer for fangirls because I really am proud of my own work this time around.

There’s still space for me to continue the wall of fame, so obviously it’s going to grow

And I’ve got another one.

I tried my absolute best to make the apartment 100% ME. And it worked, I think.

Anyway, I’m about to leave, and since I haven’t made any new friends in this city, I hope meeting fellow Swifties and sharing friendship bracelets will get me some contacts around here. It can’t hurt to try and socialize a bit, right?

I made SO MANY bracelets because I had no Wi-Fi and was stuck with the old criminal minds DVD’s I still got lying around here, but I have to say, it’s been kind of refreshing as well. I feel like a caveman, but not in a bad way. I didn’t use as much social media and I got creative a lot more, so that’s a good thing, I guess. It was a forced retreat, but it felt like one nonetheless.

I’ve got a whole ring of friendship bracelets and I hope to a God I don’t believe in that I’m allowed to take them into the theater or I’m gonna be sad.

Anyway, here’s a picture of my outfit because I feel like I’ve slayed with that.

I’ve been gone for so long, I hope you guys appreciated my little life update. And if not, I’m sorry for bothering you with this on your dash.

I can't find the original text post I made about the knight and dragon wives au, I'll make a new one (Also, I changed some ideas, so it needed an update anyway)

Aziraphale is a princess and the youngest in her family. She absolutely, positively hates these facts because it seems to give her brothers and cousins authority over her life.

She doesn't want to be married off for political reasons. She wants to be a knight. Or a bookshop owner. Which ever comes first.

One night, she runs away and it causes panic in the kingdom. But Aziraphale gets away, far off to a small town where she meets and gets adopted by a coven of witches who will help her to become a knight! A knight with magic to help her along the way.

She lives with them for a while before she deems herself ready to return to the kingdom as a knight. In this au, knights have different ways of getting the title. You can be a squire, be knighted directly by the king for a heroic deed, or you can save a town from a dangerous creator.

Or slay a dragon and bring back proof.

Aziraphale, now using a different name (Ezra? Az? Not sure yet), feels that the last two are her best bets. Especially because it's the easiest way for a woman to get the title (tho she might have to pretend to be a guy). She is given magical armor and a flaming sword by her witchy aunts and sister, them heads out.

She finds out that there is a town that has a dragon problem, which is lucky for her! She sets out to defeat the beast and finds its lair. It lives in a difficult to access cave, high up on a cliffside. There is very clear evidence of others who have failed to reach the dragon, but Aziraphale finds a hidden path that easily gets her up the side of the cliff.

And there, she finds a beautiful, naked redheaded woman lying unconscious on a flat, stone slab. Aziraphale attempts to rescue her, only to realize that damsels in distress normally don't have scales scattered on their bodies. Or pointed ears. Or fangs. Or the most beautiful eyes Aziraphale has ever seen.

Turns out the damsel is the dragon, and she wasn't in any trouble, she was just sunbathing.

Her name is Crowley, and she's a shape-shifting dragon who also happens to be a sorceress. And sometimes a midwife and cobbler.

Haven't figured out why Aziraphale stays with Crowley for a while, but they might have an Arrangement set up that soon allows them to fall in love (tho Crowley falls in love nearly instantly, Aziraphale did too but it takes her a bit to realize what these feelings are).

the sacred 28 is peak jkr tbh. We learn nothing about progress or how things changed for halfbloods, muggleborns, squibs, etc, but years after the series ends we get more pureblood focus, like why did this even need to exist beyond her racism huh?

Sorry anon, I don't know if you were expecting solidarity or agreement from me, but I...don't really have any to offer.

...Really? We're going to presume she's a blood purist in her real life politics because she added a bit of in-universe world-building to her cash cow like, ten years ago? (I mean...she might be, but this isn't proof.) It is not surprising that the Pureblood Directory exists. Nor is it proof of anything. I actually think it's kind of neat. I like that we don't know who wrote it. That it has inconsistencies and flaws. I am not remotely surprised that such a piece was published in this world. And I'm not going to assume anything about the author based on this update because...honestly, that's nuts.

Trying to guess a writer's real life politics based on the nuances they include in the sub-creationist fantasy world they craft is...a losing game.

I don't know why the fandom feels the need to keep doing this. Not saying this is you, anon (though you kind of give that impression) but some of the HP fans (or "former fans" if you like) are fixated on dissecting the book and trying to find traces of the person Rowling is now in a narrative she wrote twenty years ago. You guys really don't need to keep inventing new reasons to hate her when there's perfectly good transphobia already out in the open. Transphobia that she keeps doubling down on.

Gotta be honest...I don't think this is helping. Criticize her for her actual bigotry and the damage she's causing, sure. But people will choose to focus on the books "supporting slavery" through the House Elves or featuring a "trans stereotype" with Rita Skeeter...all of it feels like people are reaching. No, the series isn't homophobic just because Dumbledore's sexuality could have been handled better. It isn't racist just because Cho Chang has two last names. (This is just a side note but she's not explicitly Chinese...or even explicitly Asian. They never confirm her race in the text. I mean, it's pretty clear that she is, I'm just saying.)

We don't need to waste time on this stuff. Rowling is actually hurting people with bigotry that she actually believes in. Let's focus on that instead of trying to piece together a dossier about how she was "always" awful. I honestly don't think that's the case, but it doesn't matter anyway. When I see posts like these, it frankly just comes across as people who have been burned by Rowling trying to "ruin" Harry Potter for the allies who still feel a connection to the series...if so, that's not going to work, and there are productive things you can do. Follow Daniel Radcliffe's example, he is slaying as a human being.

we also went to a kpop store and i was heavily deciding whether i should get the super bowl album but i ended up not getting it because it was 42 bucks for type b at the store and i found a cheaper price online 😋😋 i did end up getting this really cute dress and a corset with it though so im pretty happy about that otherwise
