Drawing of parts of the "wooden" doll of Crepereia Tryphaena 2nd/3rd centuries A.D. At first the doll was assumed to be made of wood, but in fact it was carved from ivory, which was stained dark brown over the centuries by the water of the Tiber which had seeped into the sarcophagus.
When the doll was found she still wore one jewel, a ring with a key set on her right hand's thumb. Her ears were pierced, proving that she wore earrings probably the two perforated pearls found in the grave. Also found were two small golden circlets kept together by a golden ring: most likely a light armlet. Small prisms of pierced green paste and little golden spirals were probably all that remained of her rings.

One Stacie fewer...
I feel like my entire theme this week is "this doll is leaving," but once I started into that groove, it's easy to keep going.
I have three articulated Stacie dolls. Middle is the one Dad found for me at a thrift store, and I sewed her dress myself. Right doll is in great shape and I did want a redhead.
Left doll has joints so loose she can't be posed and hair that no amount of boil-washing can fix. It's possible that she was my find, as the other redhead was definitely from Mom's collection, but I don't really care.
My Final Twenty on fashion dolls was actually 19. I've since bought two that I'll be unboxing soon (bringing the total to 21) but set aside four for elimination (bringing it back down to 17).

Pretty proud of this girl, she was a fun experiment! And now I’m obsessed with designing paper dolls…
If you wanna make her yourself, she’s available here in PDF form! It’d really help me out, and I’d love to see how everyone assembles their little goth girl.

Hey guys!
We have to put more time and energy to our Happy Flexi pets project (it's about creating STL files of pets for 3d home printing), it's easier to work with in our current situation but we haven't given up with our main project - Walloya Morring - making ball-jointed dolls. Although making BJD pets we put on pause for a while but we're still working on BJD Granny Mice.
And in this post we'd like to show you some pics of Nora.
It's a 30 cm doll, casted in polyurethane, Basic skin ton
Makeup by Renaissance Dolls
Wig by Zorina Doll
Clothes by Julia Mokhova dress
We've encountered with some challenges in Serbia about making dolls in a way we do it. Of course we're looking for ways to solve it and until that we have to work with some restrictions but we're working!
See you soon with new pics of our BJD Grannies 🤗💜
