It is with not inconsiderable pride and satisfaction that I bring you the companion art to Concept of a Hero, the superhero smau by my amazing partner Roman, for the Avatrice Big Bang event.

It took some blood, sweat and tears, but I'm very proud of completing this piece that challenged me to push my boundaries (most important of which: actually finishing a piece)

I'm so glad I made it, I love everyone from this event and a HUGE thank you to Erin, for putting the whole thing together.

Beatrice has never had a s’more, and that needs to be fixed. Immediately. To rectify this, Ava insists that they borrow Hans’ car and two-person tent (in exchange for picking up every extra shift for the next two weeks) and drags Beatrice on a three-night, four-day trip to the mountains of their little Swiss town. Ava’s ready to cross a few things off her life to-do list – including learning how to skip rocks and teach Beatrice how to live in the moment, amongst other things. After all, she only has one life left to live, so live it she will.

This is my Avatrice Big Bang entry, an event hosted by the wonderful @sapphicneige. I've made such an amazing community during this event, I am so glad I took the leap to join!

Hello hello! I’m very happy to share the artworks I made for #AvatriceBigBang! Teamed up with itsAlliebithway for their Christmas Concert AU!

Ava moved her bow with so much grace that it reminded Beatrice of a reverent caress. She was one with her instrument, her fingers dancing over the neck of the cello like she wanted to play all the notes simultaneously.

She held her hand out for the cello case, but instead of giving it over, Ava took her hand and followed Beatrice across the street.

Almost as if she wasn’t thinking about it, she lifted one hand to Beatrice’s left one, correcting her ring finger on the neck of the instrument. It felt like they were in a lesson. It also felt like electricity was cursing through her from the point where Ava touched her.

Beatrice wondered what freedom tasted like. An hour ago, she hadn’t even thought about the fact that she’d lived in captivity, but now she wanted to at least try to see what the outside was like.
