A rant about how to trigger Astarions romance in act 2 because tha game wasted 6h of my life on nothing

Larian explain to me why do I need to talk to a random npc that is in no way significant to Astarion to further his romance. I WASTED 7 HOURS GOING TO ACT 3

I even long rested like 5 times with nothing happening with Astarions affinity almost maxed just to make sure he doesn't wanna say something. I DID HIS ACT 2 QUEST THING

But nooooo because I didn't talk to a random trader I never even saw in my normal playthrough because moonrise is filled with boring shitty npcs he dumped me at the start of act 3 even though he and the durge had a lot of romantic scenes with caring for eachother.

YOU HAVE NO WAY TO FIND THIS OUT WHILE PLAYING BLIND WITHOUT A GUIDE

A ROMANCE WITH A MAJOR CHARACTER SHOULDN'T BE LOCKED BEHIND TALKING TO A RANDOM UNIMPORTANT NPC THAT YOU CAN EASILY MISS
