idle thoughts on the smaller clones
and drawing them incorrectly bc i dont care ❤
Tumblr media
the way the clones spawn infinitely offscreen in the war level is the same thing as fp's duplication thing in his fight, it's just that his version is WAY toned down. in both cases the clone duplicates are like fully separate, technically autonomous Guys that the original has no control over, so for the war clones that means they're just kind of blindly making infinite guys. In fake pep's case, either his duplication ability got severely nerfed after pizzahead saw what a huge problem that was gonna be, or fp is just smart enough to make the duplicates super weak so they fall apart after a few seconds.
the ones seen ingame are only the 'latest and greatest', as it were. all the clones before fp had just been about trying to make a Stable Alive Thing, so there wasn't much focus on sentience, or durability, or really anything else. most of the ones before those ingame couldn't survive, and the ones that did got eaten by the newer, more evolutionarily "fit" generations. CONTEXT: awhile back @unexpectedbrickattack had been talking about earlier gens of clones being closer to real biological life, being Actually grown from cells or embryos or what have you, but pizzahead gave up on that pretty fast because things going very bad and wrong with actual flesh and blood and that whole complex mess is, um, a hell of a lot worse than just having to clean up some nonspecific Gunk. anyway. it wasn't the intent for them to wind up 90% weird gunk beings, but as creating artificial life goes the less things that can go wrong the better, so gradually more and more of their organs and systems were simplified and/or replaced entirely by all-purpose self-sustaining gunk.
they're largely mindless and very much feral but i wouldn't really call them evil; the biggest problem is really just that they don't have a fear of people or, like, anything else. they're no more destructive than any wild animal, it's just that they have a much higher rate of, uh, Incidents because there's nothing stopping them from wandering everywhere they shouldn't be or just going up to someone and going ham. the Can be cute sometimes but they're also unpredictable and don't have much consistent logic to be trained otherwise so trying to interact with one will most likely just get you bitten and/or mauled
i do however believe so hard in all the clones being violently territorial with eachother, and fake pep is actually a lot more hostile to them now. not that he hasn't always hated them, but back in the labs there was just a ton of them everywhere so it was a 'pick your battles' thing and he'd only go after them if they were in the way or bothering him directly. now that they're not an omnipresent nuisance AND he's got a place to definitively call his own? it's kill on sight. It's like 80% territorial instinct but there's a note of 'do NOT fuck this up for me' in there as well. they Are still out there somewhere postgame, but it's not really relevant for my purposes bc they're way the fuck off wherever that warzone is, and the chances of any finding their way to peppino's pizzeria or anywhere else the cast may interact with them is Highly Unlikely.

Had a browse through your Madcom masterpost and noticed a lack of 2Bdamned content, haha. So here's a fun little prompt for you, Readerx2BD/Doc, but with a twist: Doc gets possessed by the Auditor to use hik against his allies. His S/O needs to get him back, and they won't let him be taken without a fight of wits and trying to reach for 2BD still there under all that shadowy gunk. Thanks!
You reminded me I have a 2B x reader to write bc at the time I didn't know who he was or how to write for him- so thanks!
2022 edit: format change, some imo ooc in dialogue and text edit/coloring
===========================
Auditor-possessed!2BDamned x Reader [fic]
You were organizing some supplies down in Doc's lab, just as you were done you heard the faint sound of the front door opening and closing, you smiled, thinking Doc had came back
You walked up the basement's stairs, walking into the living room you met with 2B standing in front of the front door, staring directly at you
You found it odd, but chose not to question it "hey Hun, how was the mission?" Approaching a bit more, you noticed his goggles seemed to glow a little as a black aura flicked above his head
Your expression fell to a worried frown, thoughts racing around your head, you only barely noticed when he whipped out his gun and shot at you
Thankfully you rolled out of the way in time, the commotion brought the boys downstairs, questioning what was the shot about
2B quickly turned to them and began shooting again, Hank barely managing to jump out in time as Deimos and Sanford got a bit grazed and rushed back upstairs to get their weapons
Hank took out his gun and aimed it at 2B, the doctor did the same, they stared at each other, waiting for one to make a move
".... Was that your plan? Was that what you were planning this entire time? To gain our trust and then stab us in the back?" Hank questioned, clear betrayal and hurt in his tone, though it kept cold and stern, 2B didn't respond
"no, Hank! He got possessed by the Auditor, see the flames above his head!" You exclaimed as Hank squinted at 2B, their eyes widened behind their goggles, seeming to notice the flames now
Suddenly 2B aimed down and shot Hank in the leg, turning around and running out the door, Hank groaned as he fell to one knee by the bullet, the shot was strong enough to make him lose balance
"oh fuck, Hank!" "The fuck are you waiting?? Get to Doc!" Hank yelled and you immediately bolted out the door
Doc's movements seemed stiff and a little slower than usual, seeming forcing himself to run away, you quickly caught up and tackled him
You both rolled and bit before stopping, you above him, after a bit of trashing you managed to get a hold of his gun and threw it aside
2B continued to trash as you did your best to keep him down "Darling please! It's me, [Name]!" You said holding his arms on the ground and looking into his eyes
Slowly, the trashing ceased, staring at you "honey please, I know you're in there, you're strong! Fight him, I know you can do it!" Your tone softened with a pleading look, you earned a grunt from him as he tried getting you off him
You had more of a hard time with the continued trashing, he got a hold of you and pinned you to the ground, but he stopped once he was on top of you
You stayed like that for a few minutes, you trying to talk him out of this situation and him simply staring down at you, slightly trembling
Eventually, he groaned and got off you stifly, holding his head hunching over, you sat up and gently held his shoulders, he began shaking and grunting for a few moments as you held him and traced shapes on his back
He slowly let go of his head, staring a little at the ground, then at you, you took a good look at him, his goggles weren't glowing anymore and the aura was no longer there, you sighed in relief
But before you could say anything, he had launched himself on you in a hug, holding you tight to his chest, you hugged him back immediately
"I'm so fucking glad you're back.." you mumbled into his jacket "me too, my dear... Im- so sorry.." He soon panicked, separating from the hug and holding your shoulders "I didn't hurt you, did I?!" You giggled and shook you head no
He sighed and hugged you again "good, good.." "you did shoot Hank on the leg a while ago" he tensed at your words "... Fuck-"
You laughed as he helped you up "we better go back now, I believe I have some explaining to do for all of you."
-----------------------
Back at the AAHW agency
"DAMN IT!" Auditor slammed his fist on his desk "that damned grunt made me lose the control over the doctor!"
He leaned back on his chair with a deep breath "it's fine.." they grinned "I'll get you, Hank, one way or another..."

Hope this was good!

Whouffle Week 2020 - Day 3
I’m part of a Discord server called Clara’s Diner, where we mostly talk about Doctor Who, ns7-10 specifically, and they organized a Whouffle Week for Clara’s birthday/the anniversary of the show! I actually prepared this time for a daily prompt session (aka: did most of it ahead of time), so here’s my contributions.
948 words; this one is a bit wild so strap in kids; definitely contains some TARDIS hanky-panky (not that the ship is enjoying that); I kinda just stopped bc I don’t want to go and change the rating level of this set and it’s, like, already pushing it you’ll see what I mean in just a tic
Day 1 - 2 -
Prompt 3: misunderstanding/bad timing
Everyone in the room stared at Clara as she stood in the doorway, panting heavily as she attempted to catch her breath. Good—she stopped things just in time, and she didn’t care how sweaty and disheveled and absolutely not-invited-to-this-ceremony she looked.
“…what did you say…?” the priestess at the altar said. Her lip curled in disgust as Clara began to walk towards them, tracking mud and gunk across the very expensive rug.
“I said that you can’t let this wedding continue,” Clara said. She took note of how many people were in the hall, both Gallifreyanoid and not, and she could feel the pressure on her. Then again, she’d taught Year Eight—she’d been under worse pressure. “The grooms don’t love each other, they don’t even get along, and one of them is already married!”
“Then why is the Doctor standing here of his own volition?” the prince asked. He motioned at the man standing across from him, who seemed to be ignoring his travelling companion’s outburst. “He said he was a widow—you were there.”
“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean he’s not spoken for,” she hissed. The closer she got to the altar, the more the other guests began to wonder what was going on. “That was fairly sneaky, thinking that if you could get me out of the picture—hiding me in the dungeon—then the Doctor was free for the taking. Well let me tell you something: you thought wrong.”
“This… uh… must be a big misunderstanding…!”
“Not if you take this into consideration!” Clara was finally at the altar and her hand went for the Doctor’s head. The prince panicked and attempting to push the human interloper away, but it was too late: she pulled the blinking metal device out of the Doctor’s hair and let it drop to the ground, smashing it underneath her boot. The Time Lord blinked and shook his head slightly—there was quite the headache beginning to set in.
“Clara…? What’s going on?”
“This man,” she announced, pointing at the prince, “is guilty of kidnapping, brainwashing, coercion, and who knows all what else he was planning for after the ceremony!” There was a collective gasp from the audience; they were at least smart enough to connect those dots.
“…that explains a lot,” the Doctor muttered under his breath. He felt the little spot in his fluff of hair where the mind-control device sat and nodded, impressed. “That’s a nasty little piece of tech if it was supposed to take over my mind. It’s almost like you were planning on us showing up here.”
“That is absurd,” the priestess snapped. “Why would His Highness…?!”
“Don’t think you’re sitting safe and pretty either,” Clara growled. “You’re in on it as well. Why else would you agree to marry someone very clearly against their will?”
“Why would I be in on such a plan?!”
“…because what better prize than a prince and a lord of time?” Clara heard another collective gasp; this was almost too easy.
“…and what gives you the right to say all these things?” the prince asked. “Why must you stop us with these lies and that bit of destroyed metal that you quickly crunched?”
“This is why,” the Doctor said. He grabbed Clara and kissed her deeply, taking everyone in the hall by complete surprise, including Clara. For extra flair, he went and dipped her down, literally sweeping her off her feet, much to the prince’s anger.
“Guards! Seize them!”
“Oops, gotta run,” the Doctor grinned. He let go of Clara and they both began to sprint for the door. Guards that had been stationed there tried to put down their pikes to block their path, but the two time-and-space travelers slid once the rug ran out, utilizing the smooth stone floor instead.
“We’re finishing that later, I hope you realize,” Clara insisted as they continued to run through the corridor. They banked a hard right and avoided—at least temporarily—a fresh set of soldiers running to catch them.
“How did you know I wasn’t acting myself?” he asked. They slid down a bannister. “What was the major tell?”
“You couldn’t have seen me even if you tried with that thing stuck to your head,” she replied. They just barely dodged another set of soldiers and were at the TARDIS doors. After fumbling with the key and getting in, they locked the door behind them and both rushed for the console. Hitting things into gear was simple enough, and within moments they were back in the safety of the time vortex, no longer within the mechanizations of the Pywenihg High Court.
Looking at one another, the Doctor and Clara silently acknowledged the other’s state before crashing into a frenzied kiss. All the adrenaline they had just built up had nowhere to go, and at least this would release it semi-constructively. Clara hefted herself into the Doctor’s arms, holding onto his hips with her legs as she otherwise gripped his hair and shoulders tight. He stumbled backwards and eventually staggered into the stairs, sitting down on one of the steps. With his hands on her rear, he let himself melt in her grasp—he was absolutely powerless to stop her.
…then again, it wasn’t like he really wanted to stop.
Clara inhaled deeply as she broke the kiss, nearly drowning in the sea that was him. He gently took one of her hands in his and brought it to his lips, not breaking eye contact the entire time.
“I knew you had my back,” he said.
“Only because you have mine,” she reminded him.
She bent down to kiss him again—all was right in the universe.
