I started typing and got an introspective for Link(Time) as the result. So here, you can read it if you're interested.

Sometimes he hates the name Link. Link was the name of a Hero, more than one Hero really, and he... maybe he was a Hero once but that was in a time that he could never exist in again for people that currently didn't remember him as anything but a blond child with 'such anger' in him. When he was called Link he wanted to be more, to do better, to forget even if only for a moment that he was nothing more than a boy with a sword and nothing else.

Link was the name of a forest child, one who after waiting for so long finally got a fairy. Link was the name of the Hero who broke down the spells that tainted the land.

Link... Link was the name of the Hero of the Skies, the one who saved the Goddess, and who helped found Hyrule. Link was the name of the Hero of Men who stopped the Wind Mage and saved the Kingdom.

At least that's how the stories went.

He was Link, a Hero, but now he felt like he shouldn't be Link any longer.

Link the Hero of a Time that didn't exist, not as far as he knew but maybe it did, and the Hero of Termina, a land that both did and did not exist. Link was the name of a Hero, and he... he was not a Hero. He was the one who sparked off a new war, he was the one who allowed the Evil King to gain a piece of the Triforce and who, in one timeline if the memories the Fallen God restored to him were true, had failed to save the people in life.

He hated the name Link sometimes. It was his but at the same time it couldn't be further from who he was. Perhaps that's why he never really went by Link when traveling, Link was the Hero but Time? Time was whoever he wanted him to be. Time was a warrior but one who had been so lost and lonely that he wondered whether there would ever be a home for him or if he would continue wandering forever trying to find whether there still lurked a Link somewhere in his soul.

Then he finds them and he realizes that maybe he is still Link but that he can be Time too. That they each feel like maybe they shouldn't be Link the Hero but they each are just that even as they are more, they are themselves however they came to be. That's when Time, no when Link, finally accepts that maybe Link really should be his name after all and that maybe he can be Time but also be Link.

Some Wolves Route progress has been made!! Hopefully I'll have some more to update about soon.

I'd like to write the scripts for cutscenes and also the battle premises soon, I'm just waiting to post any of that in case I decide to change some things last minute :3

Basically, all I can say right now is I've made the decision to leave Flayn out of the Wolves Route - at least for the time being. I fully intend Shez to be the 'random recruitable character necessary to all FE games' for this story for now. If I figure out a way to include Flayn believably, I will do so! But right now, as I'm writing Pre-timeskip stuff, it's just not working out.

in lighter news, ive been spending most of today trying to nail down my cherri cola facecanon. still working out the kinks, but some mainstays:

my cherri cola is chicano, and his features are meant to reflect this: very dark hair, very dark eyes, and middling brown skintone with very insistent, dark freckles that are just ALL over his damn body.

he acquires more and more scarring as he goes on, mostly during the Analog Wars since he enlisted at age 14, but also a fair amount after the Wars in his wavehead days.

fighting in the Wars very much aged him prematurely, though he already looked older than he was at 14 due to a rough upbringing - he grew up in rural South Utah during the 90s aka in the middle of a meth epidemic - so his age is generally pretty hard to gauge at a glance. as a rule he looks much older than he actually is.

these drawings are all meant to focus on the 14-25 age range. his arm loss occurs at around age 27/28 (left arm, from the elbow down).

he's also fairly short, in the 5'4" range or so. his body type is also naturally pretty stocky! that being said, he takes such god awful care of himself that it's not until around age 28 that his physical appearance starts reflecting this.

also not covered here, but he starts going gray in his early 30s.
