Hello. I haven't spoken much on the Reverse Entry AU (Modern Office + Reverse Isekai Loop AU). That changes today!!! Have some scattered (relatively long) tidbits on this AU. Mainly background to actually get to the office part of it but, yea!
If anyone wants elaboration on anything on this list, and I do mean anything, I encourage asking!! Or any random questions on the AU general!! Or just things in general!! Make me think about things I have not considered!!
Spoilers for all of ISAT + 2Hats and the like:
Mainly Concrete
The Country -> The Company.
Well, more of a family storefront, but the similarity in those two words next to each other was too good to pass up LOL.
Said storefront was run by Siffrin’s parents, and was their life's work.
Specialized in niche craft related stuff, in both teaching people how to do them & selling materials for the crafts.
It was a very warm & homely store, and was adored by locals and visitors alike.
A store that felt comforting to just vibe in for a bit, if that makes sense.
Loop ends up being Siffrin’s roommate after being reverse isekai’ed :)
They do not help with rent
They are a solid night light, which they try to justify as helping with the electricity bill
They also find a mirror shortly after arrival.
Important Points
Mirabelle & Isabeau have known each other since University and are besties!!!!!!!!!
Not 100% sure of the logistics yet, but this was too important of a point to not include
Additionally, please know at some point, Isa custom stitched the scarf-shawl Mira wears to work all the time now, and gifted it to her!
He is also responsible for the fun pattern on the vest he wears all the time too!
Bonnie, whenever they are hanging around, makes sure to sneak onto Nille’s computer, and block out time between meetings for time to breathe / snacks for the others
And they also make sure to block out like an hour of time for proper lunches as well
Back to back to back to back meetings are not fun!!!
Breaks are important!!!
I have mentioned this in a different post, but this too, is a very important point to not include here as well
Location of Living
Mirabelle & Siffrin live in the same apartment complex, but on opposite sides of it
They have briefly interacted a few times prior to being coworkers?
But Siffrin had his hair dyed for interviews for a long time
So Mirabelle didn’t realize it was him for a while, since he started growing out the dye before formally meeting in a work environment
Siffrin simply forgor
Isabeau lives relatively close-by to where Mira & Sif live, he visits Mira sometimes!!
He may or may not have also interacted with Siffrin two (2) times prior to working together due to the above point
Nille & Bonnie live around the area Siffrin used to live before he had to move, and have resided in that area for a long time
They technically were neighbors, at one point!
Odile lives closer to the office than everyone else
Shorter commute for in-office days
But still in the general vicinity of everyone else's abodes ofc
Hiring Order
Mirabelle has been working in the office the longest (interned two years in a row, and was formally hired right out of University)
Isabeau is next after since he got a referral off of Mira (interned for one year before graduation, then was hired at the same time Mirabelle was)
Odile was hired to replace Euphrasie (previous senior manager to their team who got a promotion, she’s now director of the regional office)
Siffrin was hired a bit after Odile when they got more capacity, since what they were originally doing was way too much for just three people LOL
Apparently, he got a referral from someone internally, but has no idea about it!
Nille was hired a little bit after Siffrin was
She only agreed upon the role if she was granted the flexibility to pick up Bonnie from school whenever
Random RPG Equivalence Hour
Turn Based Combat = Emails
Whether it be waiting for data to start processes, answering inquiries, so on and so forth
Sometimes those turns take literal days
It happens!
Being Frozen / Damaged = Program Freezing
This goes for any program being used
If it freezes it inflicts small damage
It inflicts more damage if it crashes
It makes you cry on the floor if the program crashes and you can’t recover any of what you did for the past hour
It makes you regret all of your life decisions up to this moment in time if it crashes, you can’t recover anything, and you have a presentation on the stuff you were working on in 15 minutes
Misc Meetings
Mirabelle writes fanfic
Isabeau knows about this and supports her in her endeavors
Odile has read some of her works, but does not know she wrote them irl
At some point prior to working together, Mirabelle & Odile became mutuals and started trading book / fanfic recommendations to one another
Odile had a brief stint as a bartender prior to working for the office
Mainly to earn some form of income while applying for jobs / waiting for prior certifications to process and transfer properly after moving from another country
In one or another, she met Isabeau and Siffrin at separate intervals while working there
Additionally, the bar is located close to the office. A lot of happy hours happen there. It ended up serving as a networking opportunity for her LMAO
Both Nille and Bonnie moved around a lot when they were younger
At different intervals, Nille went to the same high schools as both Mirabelle & Isabeau
Nille has probably worked a lot of jobs throughout high school / university
This includes working at the same place Odile worked at for a bit, they were probably coworkers there at some point.
Maybe not necessarily a bartender but, general staff
Again, this served as a networking opportunity similar to the Odile segment ASFASDASDA
Um????
Loop somehow ends up becoming a vtuber.
Loop somehow ends up being a vtuber for the company the team works under, akin to Tony the Tiger.
Loop does this vtuber gig for approximately one (1) stream and quits right after.
((loop decided their first stream was a nuzlocke for some reason. the crafts company literally didnt ask them to. they decided this on their own volition for no apparent reason. the company literally asked for a stream where they do crafts?? anyway they named their pokemon after the party. and. well.))
As I am Indecisive, this still has a chance for change! But for now this list is slightly ordered from “concrete in my mind” to “need to let simmer more probably, but the vibes are there” to “probably not but it is a bit of a funny to consider” (this only applies to the last loop segment ASDAFA)
But yea!! Thanks for reading the ramblings :)

I'm so happy you liked the resident evil 8 Au! I totally agree that Miranda's new favorite is Mirabel (mostly because she has no obvious mutation and also partially because she's one of the few lords that isn't completely sterile I'm pretty sure most of them are Mirabel doesn't care but Miranda thinks it means she was a more perfect almost vessel and she is a physical embodiment of how far she's come) and I was thinking the same thing about her ability around moths and butterflies I was also thinking that she would be able to make her own silk kinda like a moth/butterfly and she can use the strands to cut like knives or simply make clothes depending on what she wants to do with it. I think the idea of the wings being dragonfly wings is amazing! I am imagining her true mutated form is very insectoid-like and she tries to keep it hidden from her family as much as possible. I agree that Miranda sprung it on her with her family showing up at random but I was thinking instead of Mirabel being the one to infect them it was Miranda or Miranda told her to do it because I feel like Mirabel thinks that she's cursed and is a monster for being what she is. I think their gifts go wonky like sometimes they work sometimes they don't think because it's protecting them from mutating. I think the relationship with Donna is spot on I don't think Monroe would try to manipulate Mirabel I feel like karl would do that a little more. I think also that Alcina at one point was fostering Mirabel when she was younger (only while her house was being built) so she saw her as another daughter until Miranda took her away which makes me think that she would be a little jealous of Julieta/entire family. 100% agree that in her mind her little portion of the village was like a miniature encanto and she treated it as such making hers the most prosperous and the most healthy area I imagine that she has a orphanage kind of near her house that she runs and keeps employed and stocked on things I imagined to try and keep loneliness at bay before her family showed up that she had maids she obviously has no extreme punishments for simple mistakes and allows them to frequently visit home and see their families and actually pays them well she of course is also forced to do experiments somewhere in the house like the other Lords and I think she has a basement specifically meant for that and she blocks the rest of her family from going to it. Speaking of the encanto I imagine that Miranda actually did a mass kidnapping to try and bolster the numbers in the village and to try and clean up a little bit of the bloodlines in the village. With the Ethan situation I think she would obviously try and petition for him to go to her house in the beginning but Miranda obviously does not allow it and she tries to help him as much as she can from the shadows until he gets to her house from there it went exactly how you put it.
OF COURSEEE I FREAKIN LOVE RESIDENT EVIL. I literally beat 5 and 6 with my friend, have watched a ton of play throughs, and am currently playing 2 and 3 (remake). You could say I like it a lil <333
ANYWAY I'M GLAD YOU AGREE❗❗ I mean she's always associated with butterflies, so why not associate her with bugs in general? At least in this au. I chose moths and butterflies as the main, but really it's a multitude of them. Also making her own silk, very cool 🤭🤭 you think when she'd make clothes and they'd just straight up be like armor because it's strong 😭😭 I mean it's strong enough to slive through things.
Karl probs would manipulate her, but she's just not with trying to take her down, even though he's constantly plotting against Miranda. I only say Moreau is manipulative because he tried to make Ethan feel bad for him and then tried to kill home boy (fun fact, that ENTIRE fight couldn't been avoiding if Ethan just took the flask from the window and dipped. What aas he lingering for anyway 😭😭)
Miranda forcing or honestly infecting the family herself would make sense. I imagine she tried to use the Madrigals as experiments, especially Antonio. And I wouldn't be surprised that of the villagers taken, Miranda just took a bunch of villagers to experiment on. Any that miraculously survived probably got dumped back into Mirabel's village. Which I'm glad you agree she thinks of as a Little Encanto <333 Mirabel HATES doing experiments, and especially after Julieta comes, does her best to heal the survivors and send them on their way. She doesn't like it, and outs it off as often as she can 🌚
Her final form being insect like is so cool 👁👁 I can't draw monster to save my life, but I can attempt ❗❗ again, just a mixture of a multitude of bugs. No eyeballs. Idk what it is with Resident Evil and eyeballs, they freak me out EVERYTIME without fail. I think she rarely uses it; it's a lot small than the others forms, but still pretty decently sized. She definitely hides that side from her family, heck she probably hides it from herself 🥸
Also silly idea. Miranda did probably make Casita just. Collapse, I mean it's a house and it's MIRANDA. I imagine all of the Madrigals have some kind of injury from the event, and if they did, they tried to argue with Mother Miranda (despite Mirabel's protests) and learned the hard way that she doesn't tolerate stuff like that and "punushes" them. She doesn't kill them, because she know that would break little Mirabel's heart, so she keeps them alive, but essentially silwnces the Madrigals.
Tumblr media
Lady D being jealous is so real 😭 yeah, she's got her own daughters, but there's something different about Mirabel. Maybe it's because she so small and cute, maybe ut's vecayse she got to actually play some role in actually raising her, I mean her three daughters were technically adults, and Mirabel was only a kid. I think the Dimitrescu sisters and Mirabel do get along to some degree, considering they're both somewhat bug related. But only so close 😀
Mirabel genuinely trying to care for her part of the village is sweet <33 she really does try and give these people the lives she knows they'll never truly have. She visits the orphanage several times a week. And despite how gloomy and decrepit the village it, Mirabel's just a little bit brighter. And Mirabel DEFINITELY tried to take Ethan. But Karl just had a bit more sway than her, and Miranda knows of Mirabel's habits of "letting people go". Mirabel knew better than to argue, so after she was reprimanded by Miranda, she piped down. Lady D hated Karl a little but more after that. Imagine how surprised Ethan is when he gets to her part of the village, and she just so easily gicws up the heart flask of Rose 😭 and Mirabel HELPS HIM. He trusts her more than the Duke probably 🗿 Maybe when Mirabel can't directly help him, she sends out her family members to deliver "packages" (typically it's just something to help heal or some spare ammo she had swiped from Karl).
I LOVE THIS AU SO MUCH OMG IT'S GONNA STAY ON MIND 🤧🤧🤧

For @jacarandaaaas, based on the premise of “Julieta cooking with her daughters as a bonding exercise.”
Post rebuild, Julieta encourages her three girls to make arepas with her. Somewhere along the way it becomes a competition and chaos ensues. But she still loves them.
My Cooking Skills (do not run in the family)
“What? No!” Luisa jumped, already moving to block the doorway. “You aren’t coming in my kitchen, demon!”
Isabela snickered. Luisa getting way too aggressive in the kitchen was always amusing. She pushed at a bicep, with no success. “Come on, stand aside, sis. Papa said Mama wants to see me in here.”
“That’s weird, he said the same thing to me.” Luisa mumbled to herself. “I’m not falling for it.”
“Luisa, you don’t own the fucking kitchen.”
“Yeah, well, you’re a—”
“Oh, hi hermanas,” came Mirabel’s voice, having appeared just behind Isabela. She wasn’t paying too much attention to what they were doing, which explained why they hadn’t been immediately lectured for it. She was somehow walking while also keeping her attention on her embroidery ring. “Does Mama want to speak with you both, too?”
“Yep. But try telling chef Luisa that.”
“I’m not letting you in my kitchen, every time I do you ruin what I’m cooking.” Luisa snapped, crossing her arms. “Wait, so Mama does actually want to speak with all of us? Isabela wasn’t just lying?”
Isabela swat a handful of petals at her. “I’m starting to hope she doesn’t, just so I can annoy you.”
Luisa glared at her, Isabela happily glared back. She had missed this. Their little, petty rivalries from when they were younger.
Finally, their mother stepped over, tying up her apron. She smiled at her girls before realising that Isabela and Luisa were engaged in a staring contest. She cleared her throat, unceremoniously.
“Ha! You blinked, I won!” Isabela exclaimed.
“Luisa, let your sisters in.” Julieta called.
Luisa spluttered. “But Bela—”
“Is going to behave herself in the kitchen. Aren’t you, Isabelita?” She stopped her eldest as she passed Luisa, giving her a pointed look. Isabela mocked a look of offence before agreeing, though she did stick her tongue out at Luisa before taking a seat on the counter. “Why do I think I’ve called you three here today?”
“To tell us that you love us?” Isabela suggested, half-joking.
At the same time, Luisa winced, scratching the back of her head nervously. “To tell Isabela and I off for stealing a bottle of wine for our sleepover with Dolores last weekend.”
“I do love you, but that is not what I—” their mother stopped for a minute. They could almost see her hair getting greyer. “You three did what?”
“It was Isabela’s fault. She stole it.” Luisa accused.
“It was Dolores’ idea.” Isabela added.
She let out a heavy sigh, “We’ll talk about that with your cousin and Tía later. But, for now, I’ve brought you three in here to do some cooking with me.”
The idea was not met with much or any enthusiasm from the girls. Isabela rolled her eyes before suddenly smirking with mischief; Luisa initially lit up before realising what exactly it meant and deflated. Julieta was prepared for what drama it would be like having those two in the kitchen together.
The last time they had was when Isabela was six and Luisa was four, just after Mirabel’s birth. She had been hoping to spend some nice quality time with her daughters, so they didn’t feel too replaced with attention by the new baby. And it ended with a massive food fight, some inedible and flora filled obleas, and the pair of them being grounded for biting each other. A few months ago, she would have confidently said that they wouldn’t be like that now. Now? She wasn’t as confident and seriously doubted her judgement.
“That’s just great, Mama. Luisa was just telling me how much she loves it when I help her in the kitchen, weren’t you, sis?” Isabela prompted. Trying her best to lean on her taller sister.
“I will feed your cacti to a donkey.” Luisa said through gritted teeth, but kept the smile for her mother and nodded her head like she agreed. “Thank you, Mama, for this wonderful afternoon. I can’t wait to get started and cook with my two lovely sisters. Can I just ask, why are you making us do this?”
She chuckled, “Well, I just thought it would be nice for us to spend some together. And that some of us could put the embroidery down and socialise for a change.”
Her change in tone did have the wanted effect as Mirabel did look up from the bird she was sewing, glancing at the three of them in turn.
“I’m listening,” the girl insisted before immediately going back to her needle.
“Wrong move, little sis.” Isabela whispered under her breath. Just loud enough for Luisa, who found herself swallowing nervously, to give a hum of agreement.
Mirabel yelped when Julieta tore the thing from her hand. “You can have it back when we are finished,” their mother stated. She set on a shelf, well out of Mirabel’s reach, before directing her to go stand alongside her sisters. She walked off to go get aprons for the three before Mirabel could start her usual concerns about the risk of her embroidery getting ruined.
“Wait, what are we doing?” Mirabel asked her sisters.
“I don’t know, Mirabel, we’re in the kitchen. What do you think we’re doing? I think we’re gonna go swimming!” Isabela retorted.
“I know that, but what are we cooking is what I meant?” Mirabel corrected, huffing a little at Isabela’s childishness. She turned to Luisa, but she only offered her a shrug.
Julieta returned, tossing an apron to each of her girls. Isabela and Luisa both went for the same one and then squabbled about it for the next two minutes - it was Luisa’s usual apron, for she often helped Julieta in the kitchen, but Isabela was clearly just looking to stir the pot of Luisa’s baking anger. Finally, work done, she gave in and let Luisa have it, taking the remaining apron.
She didn’t attempt to let the three try agree on a recipe; she was well aware how that would go. So she herself chose to make arepas. It was something that they could all do. Luisa is just a good a cook as she was herself and would find it no bother, which meant she could potentially help one of her sisters while Julieta helped the other. Mirabel could cook, she was just very slow and pedantic - and couldn’t bring herself to deviate from instructions, ensuring everything looked picture perfect to the recipe book. And Isabela? Well… she was never allowed in the kitchen, so today would be interesting.
“Now, this isn’t a competition, so you can all take your time.” Julieta reminded.
Luisa nodded. “That’s fine. We all know mine are the best.”
“It’s going to be mine. Mine will win.” Isabela argued. She looked down at Luisa’s bowl. “Yours… I don’t even know what I’m looking at.”
“It’s the exact same as yours! Just a bowl full of corn meal and water!”
“You remember when Antonio was a baby and he was sick on Tío Félix’s shoulder that one time at dinner? Yeah, that’s what yours looks like.”
“Well, you’re not gonna have anything left if you keeping mixing it so hard. Stop splashing me!”
“You’re just jealous that I’m the fastest here.” Isabela scoffed. “I mean, look at Mirabel. Her bowl’s still empty.”
Mirabel clicked her tongue. “Unlike you two, I am following a recipe book and measuring out my ingredients. We are just cooking. It’s not a competition. And, even if it were, the taking part and having fun is what counts.”
“That’s what losers say.” Isabela and Luisa both muttered coincidentally. They both shared a high five before going back to mixing.
“Ay, don’t bully your sister.” Julieta said. “But Mirabel, you’ve measured the corn meal out several times now. It’s not going to have changed, mi amor, you can add it into your bowl.”
“But I’m not sure it is—”
“It is, Mirabel. I’ve told you twice.”
“Even if it isn’t, you can just add it, hermanita. It doesn’t matter.” Luisa piped up.
“It does matter! Everything in life matters.” Mirabel countered, as though Luisa saying that had shattered her entire world. She continued to mutter to herself as she began measuring again, just to be sure. “Even the smallest things matter. Every step, every word, every stitch, every grain—”
Isabela interrupted. “You’re still like seven small steps behind us, sis.”
Before anybody could say anything more, Isabela dumped her clump of dough onto the countertop with an audible splat.
“Okay, there’s no way that’s done.” Julieta chided.
“Look how wet it is— keep it on your side of the fucking counter!” Luisa demanded, shoving it aside, trying to shield her dough from any drops from Isabela’s tainted dough.
“It doesn’t really matter,” Isabela continued. “It’ll dry when it’s cooking.”
As they both began to shape their dough, nobody noticed the vines picking up the relatively empty jug of water and pouring it on Luisa. Most of it went her head, but a few drops landed on the counter, brushing against her dough.
“You look a little wet, Lulu.”
“Fuck you, Bela!”
“You wanna take this outside, brawn?”
“I will rip your arm out of its socket and then let’s see you try grow shit.”
“Luisa, Isabela! Behave yourselves. You aren’t children.” Julieta stared them down for a long minute, shaking her head. “No me importa la edad que tengas, igual te regañaré.”
Isabela and Luisa progressed in a very similar fashion. Occasional bickering and bragging about who was doing better, but they were getting through it a relatively decent pace. Julieta couldn’t tell whether or not Luisa was enjoying Isabela’s company, she seemed to flick from happily laughing or playing along to threatening Isabela with a rolling pin.
Julieta had taken the time to prepare various fillings for the girls, most of it had just been left overs from over the last few days.
“You’re doing shit, Bela.” Luisa chuckled to herself.
Julieta came over and corrected her daughter. “Just try doing it a little bit gentler. See? That’s much better.” She cast a glance at Luisa, who didn’t need help. “Don’t insult your sister. It is important to help and encourage people while they are cooking, you wouldn’t want to get in their head and make them think that they can’t cook.”
“Yeah, especially when they’re beside someone who is doing really well.” Luisa snarked, proudly.
Isabela poked a finger at one of Luisa’s arepas on the stove top, earning a disgruntled cry from her sister as she hurried to fix it. She, meanwhile, presented her final completed arepa to her mother.
Julieta blinked at the arepa. “Um, that isn’t—”
“I shaped mine into cacti.” Isabela explained.
“Isabela’s trying to go for the creative points because she can’t win on anything else.” Luisa cackled.
“Bitch, I will shove yours off the stove to the floor.”
Their mother quickly intervened stepping between the two. “No, nobody is touching the stove top. Isabela, here, let me show you how to cook them.”
“What do you mean how?” She asked. “I leave them and come back in an hour to eat them.”
Luisa burst out laughing. “If you want to burn them, then sure.”
“This is why you are meant to follow the instructions,” Mirabel’s voice rang, smug as anything.
“Sis, you have only just made it on to step four. You’re not better than me at anything—”
“I’m on step three, actually… which I am realising is not much better. Give me twenty minutes to think of a better comeback.”
“No, arepas don’t take that long. And you have to flip them, Isabela. You can’t leave them.” Julieta went on to explain. She managed to convince Luisa to step aside for a moment, so she could show Isabela what she needed to do.
The next few minutes had passed without anything of note. Isabela stopped mucking around long enough to at least attempt flipping her arepas. Luisa decided she was going to make a topping from scratch, just to show off her culinary skills. And Mirabel was slowly catching up to her sisters.
The enticing smell coming from the kitchen later prompted Agustín to come check how his girls were doing. Only to find them not in the kitchen and cooking like he expected. Isabela and Luisa were giggling in the dining room over three plates of (very different looking) arepas that Julieta had set down. Mirabel was cleaning dishes in the kitchen.
“Something smells good,” he commented.
“We’ve been cooking, Papí,” Luisa explained, happily learning back for a kiss on her forehead as he hugged her.
“You should try them. Tell us which one’s the best.” Isabela went on to add. While he stopped to give her a kiss in their embrace, she then whispered, “It’s going to be mine, but let’s not destroy Luisa’s ego too quickly. She’s very fragile.”
He chuckled before kissing Julieta on the lips. “No disasters this time?” He asked.
“Nothing I couldn’t handle,” she teased. “I’ll go get Mirabel.”
He settled into a seat on the other side of Isabela. “You two didn’t leave your little sister to clean your mess alone, did you?”
“She wanted to do it.” Isabela shrugged.
“We were kicked out for splashing each other again.” Luisa answered honestly.
Mirabel went for the chair the other side of Luisa, seeing as Julieta had taken the one on Agustín’s other side. But not before he gave her a quick pat on the hand - she wasn’t as physically affectionate as the other two, especially after getting caught in a collapsing building.
“Can you guess whose is whose?” Luisa inquired, gesturing to the three plates.
The plates weren’t their usual signature ones, instead just plain and white. Each with five arepas. The one on his left had them all set with a good helping of fried chorizo, some vegetables and spices. The middle were just set on the plate, off-shape and cooked to various levels, piled high with leftovers. The one on his right were all neatly aligned against one another, perfectly coloured and symmetrical, sprinkled with a few herbs and some small flowers as a garnish.
“Yours is the left - I’ve seen it on my breakfast plate before. Middle is Isa’s because she made it as different as humanly possible. Right is Mirabel’s because it looks like it came out of a fancy painting or something. She definitely wins for presentation.”
“Well, nobody told me to plate it like that!” Isabela slumped back into her chair.
Mirabel hummed, “I don’t have many skills, but I can make things look good. I wasn’t adventurous at all with mine, but I like my arepa con quesos plain. I’ll take the win; people do say you eat with your eyes.”
“Congratulations, Mira. You make a very pretty meal.” Luisa praised. “But the real factor is how good it tastes, so it doesn’t actually mean anything.”
“…When did you become so competitive?”
“Back when you were still twelve steps behind, keep up.”
The tasting of the dishes had gone as anyone would expect: Mirabel’s being good, simple and plain; Isabela’s being hardly edible but they got a good laugh out of it; Luisa’s were obviously the best of the lot and she bragged indefinitely about the win. Though it was later admitted that Luisa and Isabela had both tempered with each other’s arepas, so who could really say was the winner?
“So, what are you going to make next?”
“I think we’re done with cooking,” Julieta said. “Why don’t you take them to try one of your hobbies, mi vida?”
“Um, yes?” Isabela exclaimed, standing up. “I’d be so good with an axe.”
Luisa scoffed, leaning over to Mirabel. “How long do you think it would take for her to accidentally chop a finger off?”
“Who says that Pa will make us do carpentry anyways? He might have us do something more musical.” Mirabel challenged. “Which would be an instant win for me as you two can’t read sheet music or play instruments.”
As the three girls descended into playful bickering, Agustín pulled Julieta in for a hug.
“I love our girls.”
“I do, too.”

It’s Analysis Friday about precisely why Hazbin Hotel is such a stand out.
But first - this is probably my last Hazbin Hotel-related analysis until the next season; give me asks during this long dry spell!
Tumblr media
Why on this specific topic? Because I’m tired.
Y’all.
Listen.
I’m all for subjectivity. People can just like or dislike things regardless of quality. Heck, I know Helluva Boss is part of the Hazbin world, but it gives me too much cringe and vicarious embarrassment to handle.
(Yeah, I’m weird. I know)
But I keep hearing people say Hazbin Hotel is mid or just relying on hype.
Those are fighting words!
We are getting quality on par with Disney movies for a tv series!
That’s crazy! Let’s break it down.
Musical numbers
Talented singers play the main crew. Stephanie Beatrix plays Mirabel Madrigal, Kimiko plays Izzy, etc.
There were 2 songs per episode! And because it is truly perfect for a musical, we even get thematic reprises and callbacks!
Does anyone recall when similar things have happened in animation? MLP:FiM had a glorious episode that was ALL musical with a reprise. That’s all I have at this scale outside of Disney.
Tumblr media
Characters
I’ve always known Vivzie to put thought into her work, and this shines through so well in Hazbin.
Lucifer’s depression is similar to my own
Angel’s gradual changes and struggles are realistic
Charlie’s breed of passion is the same as mine in my career
Alastor’s extremely manipulative yet we all love him
Velvette had one of the best formal character intros I’ve seen in a long time
Tumblr media
Hazbin Hotel works really hard to get away from stereotypes, and dives in past superficial traits.
Also, we get things like Valentino sounding like he’s squeaking because moths squeak. We don’t need these things!
Animation
You know what else we don’t need?
Tumblr media
Airplane arms!
Tumblr media
Complicated dance moves!
Tumblr media
Cute leg swishies with cuter sound effects?
Every second you see is 10+ frames traditionally. (Idk the studio’s technical details). That’s wild to add in these complicated extra details! And they flow so nicely! This level of quality for 2D (and honestly 3D too most of the time) is unheard of in the West nowadays.
And on that, western adult animated shows typically are so poorly made, especially in the art. Even the few I have seen that have okay stories to tell absolutely stink in terms of visuals and movement.
Story
Yeah, this is the biggest weakness Hazbin Hotel has, no doubt. The story is actually an incredible premise, and truly done pretty well within the awful time constraints. I think everyone is valid in saying it was far too fast! Hopefully we get more (or longer) episodes in upcoming seasons.
Tumblr media
But at the same time, this is also the nature of musicals. If you think this is fast, don’t watch the Les Miserables musical where everyone only sings. Idk why, but singing the entire time makes everything seem like you’re in a race car on autopilot.
Don’t forget; the symbolism just drips out of the screen in this show. The fact that I could still do more analyses even now is a testament to that with all the content I have done since it aired. Vivienne goes hard on the details.
But put yourself in Vivzie’s shoes. You do the impossible, shot for the moon while hoping for maybe the top of a 5-story building, and you were offered the stars. Your project has been a part of who you are before you even went to university, and a major company gives you a way to bring it to life? Why wouldn’t you settle for this good of a deal?
Innovation
People do not bring up often enough that Vivienne broke a glass ceiling separate from that of gender. She showed that YouTube animations can be taken seriously, and even be aired.
In this age, the Saturday morning cartoon blocks I grew up with no longer exist. There were tons of great shows, and I could talk with other kids about it. Nestled within these weekends were shows that ran short pilot episodes for potential series. The last time I saw one was Adventure Time’s pilot.
Tumblr media
It’s been a whiiiiiiile.
So having a cutesy little indie pilot animation amongst thousands on YouTube be such high quality and get a mainstream platform? Spindlehorse made history!
Moreso, Helluva Boss is also demonstrating the capacity of indie studios like never before - and what may pave the way for the future of animation too.
Out of all the animated series running on YouTube, Glitch is the only creator who does 3D that I am aware of. Even Glitch’s work has only started within the past few years, ie after Vivienne managed the impossible.
So please, stop complaining about subjective parts so much. Hazbin Hotel objectively has some of the highest craftsmanship in western animation.
We are blessed that Vivienne’s dream has come true in such a glorious manner. When I discovered her back in 2012, I couldn’t have guessed the pilot would be so successful, nor that it would change what was possible for animation!

Encantober Day 25: Quiet
Dolores loved the quiet.
She loved when everything was silent, and she could hear her own heartbeat. When the hustle and bustle of daily life would die down and stillness would reign over all, like a blanket of rest draped over their town. Once the sounds of everyday life would cease, her mind would clear and she could just stay in the respite, away from the noises assaulting her for most of her waking hours. Just perfect calm quiet; the backdrop to which Dolores would journal.
She was as thrilled as the rest of the family when Antonio had gotten his gift. But…she could have done without the fireworks. The explosions felt like they were ripping her chest apart. And the booming music- as much as she loved to dance, she preferred quieter, more unassuming pieces that took the time to build their beauty as opposed to this party fare. After a few obligatory dances, she retreated to the back of the crowd, hanging out with her tía Julieta who also wasn’t a big party person.
Finally, the party wound down. Guests trickled out in small groups, heading home. Dolores assumed some would continue the party, but as long as it wasn’t right next to her eardrums, it was all right by her. She helped pick up the dirty dishes and cups strewn about by the partygoers and placed them in the kitchen gingerly, careful not to knock them against one another to create that ringing sound that echoed for a small eternity. Feeling tired, she excused herself and retired to her bedroom. Her refuge, her haven, in which Casita had mercifully dampened the noise levels to be more tolerable.
As she wrote in her journal, her ears wandered unconsciously. She could hear her tía and tío in the kitchen, washing the dishes. Crashing ensued, followed by a soft tinkling noise that could only mean broken glass.
“Ay, Agustín…” tía Julieta murmured, exasperated. “How many times must I tell you to leave the dishes be? I’ll take care of them.”
“Well what am I supposed to do then?” Tío Agustín asked, making a small humming sound as if something was blocking his mouth. Then a smacking sound like lips leaving skin…Nope. Nope nope nope. Dolores shuddered.
“You go say good night to the girls.” Tía Julieta set down the plate she had presumably been washing. “And check on Mirabel, will you? I’m worried about her…” Her voice trailed off. “That whole thing with the cracks in the floor…maybe we’re putting too much pressure on her?” Her voice lilted upwards uncertainly. “Maybe she’s the one cracking, mi amor.”
“Of course.” A softer kiss, probably on her tía’s cheek. “I’ll check on the girls. You take care of these dishes. And then I’ll take care of you.”
Dolores didn’t need superhuman vision to know her tía was blushing. “Ay, Agustín…” she purred.
And Dolores had heard enough. She really didn’t need to know any more about her tío and tía’s love life. She was so grateful that Casita had somehow soundproofed their room completely. There were some thing Dolores simply did not need to hear.
But the part about Mirabel was interesting…was she really that upset as to make up a story about seeing cracks in the floor? Could her abuela possibly be right about Mirabel being jealous? Mirabel really didn’t strike her as the jealous type, but no one else had seen the cracks. Maybe there was something there…
Dolores wrapped up her entry and closed her journal. She could hear the other members of her family beginning to wind down as well; changing into sleep clothes, washing up, doing everything they needed to do before bed. Her papá sang a cheerful tune as he showered. Dolores giggled. He was so cheesy, but she loved him. He just made life more fun.
Right next door, Camilo was putting on some kind of performance. She figured he was playing all the characters, changing into each one as needed since she heard a variety of voices coming from his room. He was very creative, but Dolores hoped he’d keep it down soon as it was Antonio’s bedtime.
Down the hall, Antonio didn’t seem overly concerned about bedtime. He was laughing, the sound distorted as he moved through the room. Was he running? Riding the jaguar again? Carried by a toucan through the air? Who knew? Either way, through the cacophony of animal calls, she could hear him whooping and asking questions. He was halfway through naming all the animals when Dolores decided she couldn’t stand the din anymore and shifted her attention elsewhere.
Across from them, Luisa set down her weights with a thud. How she had the discipline to do her exercises every night, Dolores had no idea. It was honestly admirable. She heard the sheets rustle as Luisa got into bed and a muted creak as she opened a hardcover book. She’d seen her mamá talking to Luisa a few days ago and mamá had lent Luisa a book. Probably one of the romance novels she and Dolores were so fond of. Dolores heard the pages flutter as Luisa read onward in silence, broken only by a sharp gasp or a dreamy sigh. Deep down, Luisa was a hopeless romantic too, just like the two of them. Dolores really hoped she found someone special.
To one side of Luisa’s room, Dolores heard muffled crying. She wasn’t sure who it was; it wasn’t a cry she had heard before. But then she heard the slithering of vines and scraping of a leaf against skin as Isabela presumably wiped her tears on one of her plants.
“I’m going to marry Mariano,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I can’t believe it.”
As if Dolores needed to be reminded. She loved Isabela like a sister, but it hurt her deeply that Isabela would get to marry Mariano, the man she loved, just because she was older. Older! Ha! Isabela wasn’t even a full month older! A matter of a few weeks decided which one of them got a happy ending, and which one a broken heart. Dolores was seething. As she heard the sound of Isabela’s hairbrush gliding through her hair, Dolores hoped one of the one hundred strokes would yank it all out.
Dolores shook out her head. It wasn’t right for her to be thinking like that. She had been raised to love her family and support them, no matter what. Even if seeing them happy twisted a knife into your own heart…
A different cry broke through; more plaintive, desperate, a series of sniffling sobs. The sound was muted by a pillow, based on the weird low echo that resulted. Who was this?
“I was just trying to warn them,” Mirabel whispered quietly, followed by a hiccup. “I would never ruin Antonio’s night. I’m so happy for him!” It sounded to Dolores like Mirabel was trying to convince herself it was true. “He gets to have a gift. It’s what we all wanted.” It occurred to Dolores that Mirabel was sleeping in the nursery all by herself for the first time in years. “I just wanted to help my family…for once…” A choked back cry was followed by more quiet sobs.
Dolores’ heart broke. Poor Mirabel. She had no idea it was so hard on her. Voices floated through the air, growing louder as their speakers grew closer.
“…making a scene on Antonio’s special night,” her mamá whispered. “It’s not like Mirabel. Why would she act out like that?”
“I don’t know, mi vida, but let’s not worry about it anymore tonight, eh? Let’s just get some rest.” Dolores could hear the fabric of her mamá’s dress moving as her papá rubbed her back soothingly.
“Don’t tell me not to worry,” her mamá grumbled, punctuated by a low roll of thunder.
“I’ll give you a nice massage, and then you’ll forget all about it,” her papá offered.
Her mamá giggled. Their voices grew quieter as they went towards their bedroom. “And then we can…”
Dolores gagged. She heard the words, but her mind blocked out any meaning they had so they were just noises going into one ear and out the other. She was especially grateful their room was soundproofed too.
Instead, she let her ears wander back down towards the kitchen again. She had left some food out for Bruno, hoping her tía wouldn’t notice the “accidentally” forgotten food that no one had cleaned up. The scurrying of the rats told her it had found its intended recipient.
“Mm, this is good,” Bruno mumbled around a mouthful of food. “Not sure who keeps leaving food out for me, but thanks!”
Dolores smiled. You’re welcome, tío, she thought. She waited patiently for him to finish eating, but her attention was drawn by another unexpected sound.
A door across the hall creaked open. The sound of tiny footprints pitter-pattering across the wooden floor, stopping when another door creaked open.
“Mirabel?” Antonio’s voice called out unsurely.
“Mm, what is it, Antonio?” Dolores heard the hoarseness in Mirabel’s voice that she was undoubtedly trying to pass off as being awoken from sleep, based on the extremely fake yawn she gave, but that really stemmed from her crying.
“I can’t sleep. My new room is really big and the animals won’t leave me alone. Can I stay with you tonight?”
“Come here.” Dolores heard the rustling of sheets and creaking of the mattress as Mirabel made room for him on the bed.
Antonio climbed in, humming contentedly. “Thanks, Mirabel.” His voice was slightly muffled. He was probably snuggling up into Mirabel.
“You got it, kid.” Mirabel tucked the blanket around them. “Let’s get some sleep.”
Dolores was touched by the moment. But just as she was about to wipe a tear of her own from her eye, she heard a loud scraping echoing from down below. Moving furniture. Which could only mean…
“Yes!” Dolores cried out quietly. Tío Bruno was performing another installment of his latest play (she had heard him refer to it as a telenovela, though she didn’t know why, since as far as she knew, novelas came in books). She snuggled in under her blanket, beaming from ear to ear as the action began.
It picked up right where it had left off the last time, with José and María about to kiss, when smoke billowed and José cried out in surprise.
“Carmen!” He recoiled, jumping back. “You look just like María! But how-“
“I have my methods,” she answered slyly. Dolores squeaked. She could hear the sound of footsteps, no doubt Carmen walking around José. Carmen thought she was so clever, but Dolores knew she’d probably bought a potion from the witch featured in the last installment.
“It was that witch, who was traveling through town! She helped you change your appearance,” José deduced.
Dolores muffled her triumphant cry with her pillow. Called it!
“Aren’t you smart?” Carmen crooned, her hand trailing along José’s stubble. “If only you were smart enough not to fall for it.”
“But I didn’t fall for it!” He protested.
“Oh no?” Carmen let out a delicate cackle. “I’m not sure María would agree.”
Dolores’ stomach sank. What had Carmen done to María?
“María?” José spun around wildly. “Where is she?”
“How could you?” María’s voice echoed hollowly around them. “I loved you.”
That past tense hit Dolores in the gut like a load of bricks. She had really been rooting for those two to end up together.
“Where are you keeping her, you-“
“Now, now. Let’s not do anything you’ll regret. Otherwise, poor María might pay the price.”
Dolores’ eyes widened in shock. Carmen wouldn’t hurt María…would she?
José growled in frustration. His hands must have closed around Carmen’s neck because Dolores could hear a strangled gagging. “Tell me where you’re keeping her!” He demanded.
“I’ll tell you, but first you have to do something for me.”
“What is it?” He sounded curious.
Dolores was curious too. What did Carmen want him to do?
“And scene!” Bruno called out dramatically.
Rats chittered around him.
“I know, but we have to save something for next time,” Bruno explained.
Dolores let out a frustrated exhale. How could she sleep now? Not knowing what would happen would keep her up all night!
“Besides, I haven’t come up with what’ll happen next yet,” Bruno said under his breath.
That was a more reasonable explanation. She really hoped he’d come up with it soon.
She tossed from side to side, trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. Today had been long and tiring. It seemed like all the other inhabitants of the house were able to fall asleep. Even Bruno, the perpetual night owl, was snoring away in the walls.
At last, it was silent. Dolores could hear her heart thumping in her chest. She could hear the floors creaking (Casita had done much weirder things, she didn’t worry about a little creaking). She could hear, as always, the rats running freely through the house, no doubt collecting more food for tío Bruno. She could hear…an eye twitch? She focused in on the sound. It was coming from Luisa’s room. Luisa’s eye only twitched when she was nervous about something. What was she nervous about?
Dolores listened intently to make out the garbled mumbles Luisa let out in her sleep. “Cracks…floor…magic…weak…” With a grunt, she flopped over and fell silent.
Dolores frowned. Luisa was worried about the magic? First it was Mirabel, now Luisa. Could there actually be something to worry about?
Her abuela’s voice drifted in through the window. She was praying to abuelo Pedro, holding the candle. Dolores could hear the wax dripping onto the small plate that held the candle. It sounded like she was worried too…
And now the rats scurried by, sounding even more agitated.
Groaning, Dolores shoved her pillow over her head. She just wanted it all to stop.
Dolores loved the quiet.
If only she could ever experience it.

Modern au headcannons for upcoming stories
These head cannons are for my modern au that is set in the early 90's and extends through to present day. Ocs will come later for right now Isa and Dolores are only smol
Pepa owns a small business where she makes custom jewelry with crystals she tumbles herself. She also makes photo frames and nerdy home decor to sell.
Julieta runs a catering business out of the home. She has plenty of room and is excellent at time management. Her clients always leave astonishingly large tips for her because the quality of her work is so high.
Agustin is a carpenter, he works from 6am to 8 pm on weekdays and has weekends off unless there is an important deadline. He usually brings home the biggest weekly pay unless it's the holidays, then Pepa brings in big bucks for her commissions.
Felix works with his brothers at their pool and outdoor refurbishment company, depending on the day he could install a pool, mow lawns, pressure wash sidewalks, etc. He goes in at 7am after dropping the kids at school and is often home either by or before 6 the next evening. Rare occasions have him working later especially if complications arise with a pool
Isa and Dolores are extremely crafty and responsible. There's always some type of craft or project in progress between them. In their spare time they like to do all sorts of things as far as sports or creativity goes.
Luisa is often roped into the eldest two's shenanigans and she loves it because sometimes she feels left out because she's two years younger than them.
Mirabel and Camilo love to run and play while Pepa and Julieta keep watch. When they're playing their favorite game to play is pretend, Camilo has such a big imagination and Mirabel feeds off of him. They can come up with some wild stories
Dolores and mariano are high school sweethearts
Casita keeps magically growing and each kid has a subdued gift (ex Pepa only controls the weather of the room she's in or has a small cloud above her head only, Isabela can only make flowers bloom or form flowers in her hands)
Bruno is a truck driver and is seldom home, he comes home only for holidays or if he's in the area.
The house is on a half acre property and is completely fenced in.
All kids have bicycles and roller skates. The five of them like to take the evening and go around the block. The eldest can go by themselves to most places in town. Luisa is usually accompanied but can go on her own if she pleases, Mir and Milo must be accompanied if they leave the property.
There is a large backyard swing set and play house for the children to play on.
The eldest girls have flip phones. Though they hardly ever use them unless it's an emergency. They all love playing games on the family Nintendo (GameCube, then Wii after Christmas 2003)
To prevent arguments each family member has their own Gamecube and Wii remote to use.
Hope you enjoy ❤️

Out of Control
Madrigal!reader x Pepa + Dolores (platonic!)
Tumblr media
You couldn’t really figure out what was going on. Everyone seemed angry or confused, and the argument at the dinner table just made everything worse. You tried to suppress how frightened you felt but you made your glass of water overflow, which soon spread to everyone else’s glasses overflowing as well, creating a small puddle of water on the ground.
Your mother, Pepa, gave you a sharp warning look, a thick black cloud appearing above her head. This was why you tried to bottle up everything you felt inside you. Your mother was so emotional so no one had an inch of room to deal with yours as well. You had to hide it from everyone, pretend to be calm and stoic when underneath you were anything but.
Sat with your eyes screwed up as tightly as possible, hands over your ears, you tried to block out everyone until you suddenly heard your sister Dolores' voice and for a moment everything was silent. Reluctantly you lowered your hands and opened your eyes, only to receive a drop of water in them from the rain that your mother was beginning to produce. The awkwardness in the air felt electrified, and before you could add your growing puddle to your mother's storm, you fled to your room.
There you stayed, lying on your back on your bed which was a little rowing boat filled with blankets and pillows until the door to your room opened by itself and you heard raised voices coming through. Soon you found Mirabel and Abuela arguing, with other members of your family also making their way to see what was going on.
Everyone seems out of control, some of your family like Isabela had stronger powers, and some like Luisa were losing theirs. You felt the rumble as a large crack formed in the foundations of Casita, and you couldn't hide your distress any longer. Water gushed out from where you stood, your fear of not being in control of anything in your life anymore only hastened the flood that was being conjured.
Your tumultuous waves helped Mirabel get up to the candle, but in the chaos as Casita came crashing down you got your leg stuck on part of the crumbling wall and you got sucked under by your whirlpool of water. You struggled as best you could, coughing and spluttering when the waves gave you just enough time to take a breath.
Exhaustion soon set in as you fought against your own gift, and you eventually went under the water and didn't come back up again. Casita lay in ruins and the family were desperately wading through your flood water to try and find Mirabel. Dolores, however, quickly noticed that you weren't among the remainder of your family members and called out to you.
With the loss of your powers the water had calmed down, as you emotions were no longer conjuring more or controlling the rough waves. Realising this, you held your breath as long as possible while raising your arms to break above the water and thrash about, desperately hoping Dolores would hear or see your movement.
"We're coming!" Dolores called out as soon as she spotted it, grabbing Pepa's arm and dragging her along. "Keep waving, Y/N! We're almost there!" Your mother was now wading through the murky waters quicker than Dolores, both of them trying their best to reach you in time.
Your waves began to slow as you ran out of air, you arms soon sinking back down into the water as the bubbles from the breath you so valiantly held rushed up to the surface. "No! Hold on!" Pepa cried out, using her arms to blindly fish around for a part of you.
Her fingers soon clumsily grasped your arm and she began to try and tug you free from your watery grave, Dolores soon joining in and helping. Luckily, it did not take long with the pair of them working together to set you free.
You breached the surface of the water and immediately coughed up the water that had began to enter your throat. Pepa rubbed your back soothingly, trying to help you hack up all the water you had swallowed. She was slightly impaired by Dolores grasping you firmly in a hug. "Don't you dare ever do that again, Y/N." Dolores whispered in your ear. "I'll try not to, hermana." You replied, your eyes overflowing with tears.
The following days were scary, and you struggled to continue life and help rebuild Casita without your powers. Soon, however, Casita was rebuilt, the magic was restored and your water manipulation soon returned. Once the celebrations were over, your mother pulled you aside for a quiet chat in her room. It was a well overdue discussion about both you own and her emotions, and how they could both be felt and controlled in a way that didn't suppress them. The knowledge of how to use your emotions to your advantage unlocked a whole new ability in you, and the knowledge that it was okay to release your emotion gave you the new lease of life you never knew you needed.

Image of a blind character with dark skin, curly hair. He is wearing a suit vest with detailed raised patterns, carved buttons with butterflies and made of glowing emerald.
Paragraph one: Funny and a little sassy, empathetic Ramiro is a bright addition to the Madrigal household. He love his adopted family dearly.
Inset Picture of happy young Ramiro with congenital cataracts.
Text block: Memento from parents
Antonio had instructed and trained a melanistic jaguar to act as a seeing-eye-animal. He names her Chia.
Ramiro was born with congenital cataracts. Which due to being born to poor parents, they were unable to get him the surgery in time to avoid permanent damage.
When he was young he could sense some light and shapes, but as he aged all he could sense was movement. He wears the glasses due to light sensitivity, but also he has been assured they are particularly cool looking.
Ramiro has an appreciation for fashion like Elena. When she started making, or buying clothes for him. Not only did she choose fabrics that had interesting textures (or Mirabel adding embroidery), but Agustin had it impeccably tailored. He can't see the final look, but he likes the compliments he gets.
Ramiro doesn't receive his gift right away, but rather when he feels he is truly a Madrigal.
His gift is empathetic touch, which allow him to sense emotions tied to objects. But it also allow him to communicate directly with Casita.
Inset picture of young adult Ramiro with black melanistic jaguar: description text.

summary: camilo unknowingly and indirectly confesses to you during an online game
Tumblr media
Numerous pings can be heard from your computer making you turn to your desk in irritation. You were cozy and cuddled up in your comforters which all the more brings you laziness and tiredness. You simply ignored the notifications as you continued scrolling through your phone while lying in bed. However midway through a TikTok video, your screen fades and blaringly plays a familiar ringtone. Someone was calling you and you smiled when you saw who it was. Your best friend (and also the one you slightly have a big crush on), the one and only Camilo Madrigal.
"What do you want, Camilo?" You said as you brought your phone to your ear.
"I've been giving you pings on Discord! I thought you said you wanted to play Minecraft with us on the server!" Camilo's whiny voice made you burst out in laughter.
"Okay fine, give me a few minutes" You giggled and hung up the phone. It took you minutes to shuffle under your bedsheets before you stood up to finally go to your desk. The moment you took a seat, you turned on your phone and checked on your Discord notifications. Boy, Camilo really did mention you too much. It made you laugh until the light from your computer took your attention, ready for you to set up your game. While you're at it, you opened the server and saw that there was a voice chat that included Camilo, Carlos, Isabela and Mirabel. You got the urge of excitement as you wore your headphones and opened Minecraft.
You regretted it.
The moment you joined the call, a bunch of screams welcomed you and took you aback. You jolted in your seat at the ear-piercing yells that might have broken your eardrums. In a hurry you adjusted the volume before you joined the server after Minecraft got opened.
"NOT MY DOG! DON'T KILL MY DOG!" Carlos screamed into his mic. You can hear the rapid clicking of his keyboard. Camilo laughed soon after but later screamed, "NO! HOW DID YOU EVEN GET POTIONS?!"
As soon as you joined the server, your name pops out in chat and Camilo instantly stops screaming to coo at you sweetly, "STOP I'M GONNA MURDER YO- Y/N! I farmed diamonds for you!" You could hear Carlos on the other end scoff in annoyance as he approached Camilo's character.
You stood there, just watching the two twins do a 1v1 by themselves for no apparent reason. Camilo probably taunted his twin brother first and it escalated from there. You observed them bicker back and forth until they decided to settle on an empty fist-fight through Minecraft. With them armor-less and weapon-less, you decided to step in and bother them with your full diamond armor and Netherite weapons.
'Carlos was slain by [username]'
"Yeah! Y/N's here to fight for me!" Camilo cheered. You laughed through the mic and smirked to yourself. "Hold that thought, milo."
'Camilo was slain by [username]'
"Serves you right." Carlos laughed this time. He most likely respawned back at the house so you collected their stuff and placed it in a chest for them to come back to. Camilo was whining and yelling the entire time, feeling betrayed.
"I'm gonna go get flowers for the bee farm" You nonchalantly informed the two and left them. You were in the middle of a flower biome anyway, might as well collect flowers at least. While you were doing your task in peace you could still hear the bickering of the two twins while Isabela and Mirabel oftentimes talk on chat, you assumed they were decorating the community house a few blocks away. Once your inventory was full, you slowly made your way back to the house.
"You still haven't gotten your stuff?" You asked an armor-less character of Camilo, making yours stare at his dead in the eye. His head moved around a few times before he puts out a flower on his hand.
"I did, but I was attacked by a phantom. Went back to run and this is the only thing I managed to salvage" You could hear him pout just from the tone of his voice. It made you giggle in laughter. Sooner while you were giving him a few of your stuff, Isabela and Mirabel's characters popped out on your screen as they entered the house as well.
"I took your stuff, milo" You heard Mirabel. She walked towards him and started dropping the items for Camilo to collect. While they were at it, you proceeded to your room and started fiddling with your storage, looking for more items to craft. You muted yourself and proceeded to play the game while listening to the rest of the Madrigal grandkids.
"I can't believe you left all your stuff in the open but didn't hesitate to drop that flower of yours" Isabela trail off. Camilo mocked her, still sulking from the sudden death caused by you. "I already named it, I can't lose it"
"Why would you even name a flower?" Mirabel asked with a judging tone. Camilo immediately bickered feeling offended. "Hey! An iron golem dropped it after Carlos murdered it. The least I could do is treat it with love in it's memory!"
"If you love your beloved flower so much than your full enchanted armor then might as well give your loot to me." She bites back, "Or even just marry it at this point because you're still not letting it go from your grasp"
"Look as much as these pixelated flowers are pretty, I don't want to 'marry them'" Camilo muttered, insulted. "Also there is a prettier flower that I can actually see in real life." With that you suddenly forgot what you were doing because you were too invested in their bantering now.
"Its me, I'm the flower" Isabela boasted which led Mirabel to let out sarcastic vomiting noises.
"Ew no," Camilo grimaced, "Y/N is my beloved flower."
You unmuted yourself, and yelled, "WHAT?"
"WHAT" Camilo panicked as well, "I thought you left vc!"
You laughed nervously and heard Mirabel and Isabela tease their cousin with squeals. "I've been here the entire time, Camilo. I was only muted!"
"Oh, so it was Carlos who left" You can hear Camilo rapidly type on his keyboard, possibly to message his twin about what happened. He took a glance at the server and saw that Carlos really was offline. He internally cursed himself for being an idiot.
"So, what was it you said about me being your beloved flower?" You teased a nervous Camilo. You can hear him frantically tapping in his keyboard and a few muttered curses when you hear random objects just fall and scatter around his desk. You and the other girls in the vc kept laughing lightly until you saw that Camilo disconnected from the call and went offline.
"He's definitely hiding from you" You heard Isabela say to you. You laughed in response yet again.
"I don't have to worry, he can't hide from me much longer." You reassured her, now with a determined and confident voice after knowing that your all-time crush likes you back. Oh, he's definitely not gonna hear the end of it.

- I don't drop threads unless it's obvious that it's finished! Don't worry. If I'm not feeling a thread, I will let you know. I hate waiting for so long to just learn that it's not gonna be answered, it's a little annoying and I wish to be told sooner, so I do that. If I don't reply within a week I most likely forgot, so feel free to remind me! I am pretty active, so I will not be upset. In worst case, I'm not feeling it at the moment but that does not mean I dropped it! If I decide to drop it, I'll tell you!
- please do not reblog my open starters if we're not mutuals. You can like, I don't mind.

Please, do not block me because I'm interacting with someone problematic. I mean of course I can't tell you to not block me or not but I mean, if that is your ONLY reason. Please message. Make sure if I know or don't know the shit they did. If they are problematic I most likely will not interact with them.
- I don't do passwords, but you can let me know you read them by telling me if you are ok with pet names or not! I'm big on pet names, I often call people dear, honey, sweetie, babe. If you message me saying I'm good with them or not, this will let me know you read my rules AND let's me make sure I don't cross boundaries if you prefer not to be called pet names!
- no minors. This blog will cover triggering themes. Nsfw will be present. And although everything gets tagged accordingly, I don't want to open that scene to minors. So please even if you follow me, don't interact with me.

Looking forward to interacting with all of you!

POISON
Part of the the “Encanto fantasy kingdom AU” is that while Mirabel is technically not next in line for the throne, as the only Madrigal born outside the palace walls, she is “one of the people”. The Madrigals in this au are devine beings and as Mirabel is born among the common people she slowly starts to become the people’s favourite. The one they would choose to rule them, instead of Isabela, who meanwhile is being molded by Alma to be the next ruler. Mirabel’s new popularity among the people of Encanto leads to unknown evil forces targeting and trying to assassinate her. One of these attempts, is poison.
The palace is huge and all the Madrigals have different areas in the castle, where they can practice their gifts. Her mother is probably on the other side of the castle, which is why it takes so long for her to get there. Well, why don’t they have some of her healing food with them? Because! It wouldn’t be as dramatic. Why is Bruno with her? He is her self-appointed protector and because they are a team. He can see some of the assassination attempts, but not all. Also, simply because I want it to be so.
@c-rose2081 is the other half behind this au and idea. As I also mentioned in the last post about this au: me and @c-rose2081 are no longer developing this au. If someone wants to write a story about this go right ahead and tag me so I can read it! (PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP AS USUAL. IF YOU SEE THIS AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM COMMENTING. ANY RUDE, INAPPROPRIATE OR HARASSING COMMENTS/ USERS WILL BE BLOCKED. I HAVE MADE SURE TO EXPLAIN THIS THOROUGHLY SEVERAL TIMES. I DON’T SHIP THESE CHARACTERS.)

Imagine in wdtaa, one of the triplets overheard someone calling Alma a witch, that'd be a mess. Also, since Mirabel is the candleholder, does she also act as leader of the Encanto? If so, how does she handle those responsibilities, including the whole Mariano debacle
Yeah they are not having it 😭 they hear a lot of things about Alma, and "witch" or "bruja" are not one of the acceptable ones. Expect to be banned from Julieta's stand, nearly being struck by lightning and then Bruno giving you some wack vision. They won't get physical, but they will be VERY passive aggressive, especially Julieta. It's not something you wanna be caught saying, especially around the triplets.
Mirabel does indeed act as leader. She's actually considered the new heart of the Encanto. Alma was the old one, but she is obviously not there, so Mirabel is consider the new one. New Edition. She doesn't really start taking on responsibility and tasks until she's around 10. Before that, she was kimda guided by the triplets. But they changed a lot of the rules, made it so the kida didn't have to work so much--which led to a more independent and less needy town btw. Alma is lower not ok with it, but a few years in the wall does something to you and she gets over it.
She handles them well by the time she has to though. She's pretty well liked by the villagers, and she doesn't assign a bazillion chores to her family. And since Alma left, Isabela dropped the perfect act after 2 or 3 years. She only kept it up because she thought Alma would be back and she would have to go back, but after that 3 year mark, she officially was over it and was able to do her own thing. Dolores also never was in her shadow, so she was able to get close to Mariano (with Miravel's help.)
SPEAKING OF. There's none of that marriage stuff, all that crazy kooky stuff. They were kids when Alma disappeared, so it was never really established. Señora Guzmán tried, but the idea never stuck. So Dolores was able to get closer. Mirabel was just happy to see Dolores happy, so it was fine.

Also the murial in the town. Mirabel's holding the candle now. Alma is kinda shrouded and hidden behind the triplets. Not entirely blocked out, but she's standing behind them, not as relevant.

Um... I don't know where to start but I guess I get to the bottom of it.
If you are a new blog, plz put proship before you follow me so I could block you.
I recently have a new encanto blog followers for the past days and weeks, the issue is that I had follow them back without thinking nothing of it, their blog looked so innocent so I thought it was nothing.
On their bio, they did not have nothing, but full of innocent encanto art, like drawings of Mirabel and Camilo with Bruno laughing, Isabela and Julieta in the kitchen, seem like to me, they were talking and so many more.
As I scroll down their post to the deep end, that's when I realized that I accidentally follow a forbidden family content blog full of... let's skip that.
So I had block them and I felt embarrassed because once I read a fanfic that I thought it was innocent but they didn't have no tags but the Madrigal names, I was also embarrassed by the art enough.
All I'm asking please read my pinned post before you follow me, and for goodness sake, start writing on your bio and don't leave it blank, I'm pretty sure a lot stumbled upon your blog without a second thought.
I'm dealing with porn bots, creepy females and males sending me a porn websites videos, blank blogs I don't trust, also I'm dealing with a porno blog liking one of my Encanto posts then proceede sending me a message, like I'm not interested, go to Twitter for that.
I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just saying please put if you are one on your bio so no one like me could follow without thinking and stumbled upon.

Look, Abuela, I'm on TV now! - Mirabel
I recently posted about Encanto on Japanese TV recently and now it aired on Disney Channel US for Thanksgiving a few minutes ago......
Well, we have seen Encanto broadcast on TV networks worldwide the last few weeks, of course starting on ABC last October for The Wonderful World Of Disney's Disney100 celebration (where Once Upon A Studio had its broadcast premiere) as well on Freeform the same month and just last week it was on Japan's most famous TV movie block Friday Roadshow where it generated loads of reactions over there (because cable and streaming is not that popular there, and before the TV broadcast an insta moot from japan told me that Encanto was not as popular there as they focus more on Frozen and other princess films) and now for Thanksgiving over on Disney Channel US. Who knows, maybe for Christmas it may air on UK Freeview TV on BBC One, as the BBC has a tradition of airing Disney movies at Christmas time, one year i think it was last year when Mary Poppins Returns was on BBC One. I do hope it comes to the BBC next month since its two years since Encanto was theatrically released.
The recent TV airings of Encanto reminded me of a post someone made over on X claiming that the encanto fandom was "expired" simply because Disney has no clear announcements on future encanto media (a sequel and/or a Disney+ series) and some say the hype died down. But somehow I do believe that as Abuela Alma said, "THE MIRACLE IS STRONG!" It is evident in the US Disney Parks, and apparently Encanto broadcasts on networks and cable may also rekindle memories of early 2022 and remind us that Mirabel is still so sweet and also how wholesome Encanto is as a movie... Maybe when someone sees it on TV soon maybe it will bring an encanto fan back to the time when talking about Bruno was the hottest thing on the planet.
(Screengrabs of the Disney Channel US airing of Encanto via TheTVApp for your attention)
