Hiii, can I ask for some Tenn x fem reader fanfiction where she's a singer and she often takes part in their concert and they have like really good dynamic, like you can feel how good are their relationship and how they know eachother (they're together but their fans don't know). Beside fans perspective - I would like to see I7 and trigger ones too
Keep Your Eyes On Me :: Kujo Tenn x Reader
A/N: sorry i made this needlessly angsty lol
.::.
Ryuunosuke was so happy for Tenn, practically watching you guys from afar practicing on a song together and exchange tips and opinions about how they should go about it.
Gaku was watching as well, though not as intensely as Ryuu. Tenn's fellow group member was happy for him, sure, but couldn't help but wonder why you and Tenn clicked so quickly and easily. Not that he was jealous or anything, it was just something that left him a little curious.
You had even managed to make Tenn of all people let out a genuine laugh every once in a while.
Though, maybe it had something to do with how you both were obsessed with professionalism and performing things the best to your ability. However Tenn seemed a smidge less prissy about things when around you and more relaxed and able to have fun rather than stressing about the assignment.
The first time the IDOLiSH7 members see you is at an afterparty of a concert. The two of you were woefully tired while Anesagi generously passed out water bottles. On the way to the party, the idol seemed actually a bit..nervous?
Tapping on his arm, you quickly try to figure what's wrong. The concert went great---better than great, and he should be proud of himself, so what could possibly be the matter?
Ryuu and Gaku were a little too excited to drink and recount their time on stage to notice that the two of you were lagging a bit behind them.
"Tenn, is something up? You were amazing as always." Gently, you slide your hands into his, looking in his pink eyes.
"..My brother's in there." He states, trying to look not as bothered as you know he is.
"Oh yeah, he's in IDOLiSH7 right? The center?" A smiles comes upon your lips in an attempt to quell whatever's ailing him right now.
Tenn nods without further input.
Being able to put 2 and 2 together, you realize he might've been nervous about him meeting you.
"Oh, I get it, you're worried he won't like me?" "No, I'm sure he will." He quickly responds this time. "Its not that I'm worried about."
"Then..what is?" Your hands subtly grip his soft ones in concern.
The idol goes a bit quiet again, shaking his head. "We can talk about it after the party." He takes your hand, walking into the room the party was being held. The noise from it was already clear to be heard from the hall.
.::.
You didn't think you'd find fans in the form of IDOLiSH7.
Hitting it off pretty well with the members since they already recognized you, you were kind of swept away with them during the party.
Mitsuki takes a playful jab, half-drunk. "Hey hey, is it true you and Kujo are dating each other?"
"Oh yes, we are." You smile, being significantly less drunk than everyone else, therefore not catching his tone as anything noteworthy.
That side of the room goes a bit quiet, having heard you. The atmosphere grew awkward and you frown, feeling like you've said something you shouldn't have.
Riku's eyes light up with joy. "Uwaa~ Tenn-nii's dating (Y/N)-san? That's amazing, congratulations!"
Tenn clearly heard that from the other side of the room, choking on his drink. He was planning to tell him himself once the party died down. It didn't help that their managers were there as well.
"I oddly feel a bit proud." Yuki snarks, running a hand through his hair. Re:vale had mostly been talking amongst themselves and Ryuu and Gaku while you were preoccupied with I7.
The pink-haired idol's eyebrow twitches, wondering what that's supposed to mean.
"Damn I didn't think he'd like..have it in him to date someone instead of finding a way for it to be the entirety of his fans." Yamato remarks, holding an empty beer cup in his hand.
Once again Tenn has a slight knee jerk reaction, glaring to Yamato next. Couldn't there have been a way to do this while they weren't drunk?
"I knew it! Tenn Tenn always smiles harder when talking about them on TV!" Tamaki grins as if he's solved a mystery.
"(Y/N)-san's quite talented and serious about their work, so I suppose I could've seen it sooner." Iori says.
Riku soon bombards you with questions, which Yamato and Iori have to shut down eventually since maybe he's prying a bit too much.
A few more teases are shared with Re:vale, Ryuu and Gaku before its time to leave. You exchange rabbitchats with everyone before you go.
.::.
"How do you feel about Riku?" Is the first thing Tenn asks on the drive back to his apartment
You turn to him with your usual smile. "He's nice. Not too different from how you described him, haha!"
"Right." Tenn says dryly, looking out the window.
Your smile fades a little, putting a hand on his thigh. "Something up?"
"Nanase Riku charms everyone no matter where he goes." Your boyfriend folds his arms.
A beat of silence comes between you, trying to process that.
"I mean yeah, that seems true." You nod.
"Right.." Your boyfriend was typically blunt and straightforward, making assumptions wasn't something you usually had to go through with him because he made his thoughts and opinions loud and clear. But there was a thought nagging at the back of your head.
"..Are you concerned about me getting along with Riku a little..too well?"
it was true that you had taken an interest in Riku, he was Tenn's brother after all and was considered a notable talent among the idol industry, but there was a slight ping in your chest that made you feel bad if Tenn were getting jealous.
On the other hand, jealousy isn't exactly the word Tenn would use to describe it. It isn't like you both don't already have thousands of fans. (who had already been speculating about the two of you dating on social media. Some were in denial while others treated it as if it were confirmed already) In fact, not being nice to Riku would be a dealbreaker for him.
Its simply that Tenn has spent most of his life trying to do things to appease Riku and keep him happy (which in itself turns into a mess from time to time) and he didn't want you to be wrapped into all of that. He feels a bit selfish over it, but its hard to deny now that you've met Riku.
He feels what the two of you have is special and dear to his heart, and doesn't want anything to come between you.
Instead of elaborating further, he simply tilts your chin up towards him, leaning in.
"Keep your eyes on me and only me. I'll show you something promising."

random things about IDOLiSH7 i absolutely adore and it makes i7 one of the best shows i’ve watched (not kidding)
the ensemble cast is likeable, very well-written, noone feels left behind by the narrative or unexplored. you really grow to love all the characters, understand them. The character development blows you away; they all feel three-dimensional, all have their own stories to tell. They feel like real people
great music, and of great variety, too! at first you think you’re in for generic idol tunes, but even the main group, whose sound is the most ‘typical cheery idol’ type, branches out into different directions later
amazing storytelling and direction - the anime makes great use of various angles, as well as music to help convey feelings on screen; it definitely improves overtime, too.
drama, so much of it but it all feels very much justified, there isn’t drama just for the sake of drama. It alignes perfectly with the show’s themes, explores the highs and lows of the idol industry, as well as relationships between the characters.
the stories connect in unexpected ways... and then you realize the foreshadowing was already there! it’s very clever and satisfying
there’s so much love in it! the love in universe that characters have for each other, the love their fans give them; the love that emanates from the studio, the staff, the director... it’s all about love
there’s way more but I would combust if I started to explain it all. the point is - so many people in the western fandom spaces seem to dismiss i7 as yet another idol show (funnily enough it’s so huge in Japan), which has its perks (we’re all just here in our small corner), but it really is not doing justice to this great show. it’s so good... ahhh i love IDOLiSH7 I love it so much

Hiii, hope you have a good day! 3,4,5,6,21,27,28 and 39 for the anime ask (?)... I'm sorry in advance if they're too much ;; ! Please feel free to do whatever numbers you want
Hello! Tysm for taking the time to send this ask ♡ and i’m going to reply to all of them.
3: Which anime made you laugh the hardest?
Definitely Gintama! Watching it was the best decision i ever took in my life no joke, it’s such a great series and i love and remember all the characters fondly. I love Gintoki and Hijikata the most.
4: If you could make a spin-off of any anime, what would it be?
Daiya! I would love to have a rhythm game of the series! Imagine the boys as idols, Eijun singing?? like omg please, i think that way we would be able to get to know them a lot more since in the main series we only focus basically on the sport and this is one of the reasons why we can’t have much more insight on how the characters think when it’s not tied w/ their development as a part of the sport (does this even make sense lol)
5: List your top 5 anime’s
Daiya
Gintama
Re:Life (not the anime itself but the webcomic it’s based on)
Love Live!
Natsume’s book of friends
6: List your top 5 anime OSTs
Grow stronger day by day
Wings of hope
Endless firmament
The Free! OST
Above
21: What is the first anime you ever saw?
Hmm if we go from before I even knew what anime was then Dragon Ball or Ranma ½ lol it used to air on tv when i was little all the time! So i watched it w/o even knowing what it was about.
As for the first anime i watched in 2016 i think it was Natsume’s book of friends, after that i decided to create this account and then i fell down in Daiya and i still can’t get out almost three years later lmfao jokes on me.
27: Which anime character are you most like?
This is kinda hard to answer ahh but i think Haruichi resembles me a little bit in personality, from RE:Life i relate a lot to Yoake.
Eijun and I are so different lmao it’s a bit funny, and yet i love him with my whole heart. I have a type tbh I recently watched i7 and you can guess who’s becoming my fave (If you thought Riku then you are right)
28: Do you watch a new anime because you think it will be good, or because its popular?
Definitely because i think it will be good. If i can’t enjoy a series and connect with the characters then chances are i’m going to end up dropping it halfway.
I’m not really into the most popular series for this reason and sometimes it’s also because of the fandom.
39: Is there an anime you wish was more popular?
Daiya no ace, Diamond no ace, Ace of the diamod, AOD, whatever other name it has. I’m biased for this series as it’s my main fandom but Daiya is amazing: the character development, the realism, the plot, the way the sport in itself is handled, and so many other things.
It has so many flaws but even so… it’s just so great as a whole! that if you are looking for someting to watch then you should give it a try.

HP Spectre x360 (Kaby Lake G) Review
So, about 2 weeks ago I got my HP Spectre x360 with the i7-8705G processor, and I've decided to a little review on it, just for fun. My model has a 4K touchscreen display, 12 GB of DDR4 2400 (so dual channel memory doesn't work quite correctly), the i7-8705G (4 CPU cores, 4 GB of HBM2, and 20 CUs), and a 256 GB NVME SSD from Samsung, the one that comes with the laptop. I'm mostly going to be testing performance but I will touch on all aspects of the laptop.
Overview
The HP Spectre x360 is a 15 inch laptop that launched a couple of months ago at $1300-$1500; HP has sales pretty frequently so if you're lucky you can get this for about $1300 like I did. It comes with only one option for Kaby Lake G, the i7-8705G. You can configure the RAM from 8 to 16 GB and configure the SSD from 256 to 2 TB. The screen only comes in at 4K. The Spectre also includes a fingerprint scanner and a Windows Hello compatible webcam for quick sign in. IO is pretty good as well; HP includes one T3 port, one USB type C port, one USB 3.1 port, one HDMI port, a headphone jack, and an SD card reader. It can be charged either through its AC port or through the USB type C compatible ports, but only if you own one of HP's branded chargers. HP's software will reject anything that isn't from HP. Also, you can open up the Spectre (with some difficulty) and upgrade the RAM and SSD and even fiddle with the heatsink if you want. Finally, the Spectre is just under 20 mm in thickness and weighs about 4.6 pounds. Okay, with all that being said, let's get into it.
Chassis
The first thing you notice with a laptop is how it looks, and the Spectre looks and feels really good. It's very sturdy and feels very premium. I previously owned an HP Envy x360 15 inch, and I have to say it's actually not that much better. It definitely looks better with its gold accents though. There is very minimal keyboard flex and the screen hardly bends at all. Another nice upgrade over the Envy is the fact that its fans are configured in a much smarter way: intake on the bottom (like the Envy but with more holes) and output on both sides of the laptop (instead of out of the back). Using dual fans pushing air out of the sides makes it much easier to keep the Spectre and you cool, especially if you're putting the Spectre on top of something like a blanket. Overall, it's very thin and it's a little heavy but not too heavy.
Keyboard and Touchpad
This keyboard is about the same as on the HP Envy x360. It's pretty decent, and the backlight is pretty good. It's also full size, so you get your numpad as well. There's nothing particularly special about the keyboard. It's good. Some people might dislike the half sized up and down arrow keys, but personally I'm fine with it. The touchpad is okay, it's not quite as tall as I would like but it works good enough. No deal breakers here, though the Spectre isn't really amazing me with the keyboard and touchpad.
Display
While a 4K display does consume more power than a 1080p display, I have to say it's an incredible monitor. 4K may be overkill at such a small display, but damn does it look good. Just sublime. And compared to the Envy x360, the brightness is much better too. It's not the brightest monitor out there, but it'll do the job even in the sun. Colors look good as well, I haven't noticed any obvious gradients where colors gradually changed. On my Envy I could clearly see bands of colors on something like the sky. The Spectre has no problem displaying all the colors you need to see a smooth transition from one type of blue to another similar, but distinct blue. Bezels on the left and right are very thing, and while they're kind of thick on the bottom and top, it does allow for more space for the speakers and touchpad, as well as the webcam which is directly above the display.
Speakers
Kind of a mixed bag. I actually liked the speakers on the Envy, because they got pretty loud without distorting. When I couldn't get my cheap soundbar connected to my TV working one time, I used the speakers on the Envy instead, and the experience was pretty good. However, the experience with the Spectre is different. The speakers are now spread out over above the keyboard, and on the bottom of the chassis on the closest lower left and right corners. It just sounds a little off. It's totally fine, but it's not special.
Battery life
Battery life is okay, definitely not great though. Using the better battery life plan, setting the brightness to half, and running a Slow Mo Guys video at 4K resolution and 50 FPS, the laptop lasted a total of 3 hours and 46 minutes. For such a large battery, it's a disappointing result, but it's not surprising. The Vega M GPU, even though it was not used for this task, does require power even when it's idling, perhaps 5 or so watts. That's not nothing, and especially over time it's going to drain the battery.
Noise
Under full load, and even when watching 1080p60 videos or other high resolution content, the fans get pretty loud. Thankfully this keeps the system cool, but again, it does get loud. If you wanted a really quiet machine, the Spectre is not for you. Of course, there's a very good reason why it gets so loud and requires two fans.
Performance
Yep, that's right, it's because this laptop has alot of horsepower. The Spectre is based on the i7-8705G, which has not just an Intel CPU, but also a Radeon GPU. The Intel CPU has 4 cores, 8 threads, running at a maximum 4.1 GHz turbo and features Intel HD 630 graphics for use in low load applications. The Radeon Vega M GPU (which is really a Polaris GPU) has 20 CUs running at a maximum turbo of 1011 MHz and 4 GB of HBM2. On paper, this combination looks really good for everything from video editing to professional applications like CAD to gaming, and it should perform similarly to 7700HQ laptops with GTX 1050s to 1050Tis. Well, we'll see about that.
Our test suite includes these applications: Cinebench R15, 3D Mark Firestrike and Timespy, Ashes of the Singularity, Civilization VI, Total War: Rome II (with the new graphics patch), and the Witcher 3.
On Cinebench R15, the i7 scored 623 points on its best run, but in other runs the scores were as low as 480 and usually hovered around 550. This is likely due to thermal throttling. The i7 should boost very well under short loads but will fall behind if it can't finish a task before throttling sets in.
In 3DMark's Timespy, the Kaby Lake G processor scored 2167, and in Firestrike it scored 5161. Laptops with 7700HQs and 1050Tis typically make about 3000 points in Timespy and 7000 points in Firestrike. This is nearly a 50% difference, and it may surprise some of you. How could a 20 CU and 4 core CPU combo lose so heavily? Perhaps this processor lies closer to the 1050, but 1050Tis are not 50% faster than 1050s. Before I explain why the discrepancy exists, let's move on.
Using the standard preset at 1080p with the DX12 API on Ashes, the GPU focused benchmark scored an average framerate of 27.1 FPS (with all batches being GPU bound entirely) and the CPU focused benchmark scored an average of 16.8 FPS. I don't have any other hardware to compare this with, but I'm using mostly standardized benchmarks so that you can compare your own hardware or other benchmarks yourself.
Using the medium preset at 4K with the DX12 API on Civilization, the graphics benchmark ended up having an average frametime of 37.226 ms, which is mostly playable, and a 99th percentile of 44.947 ms. I'd recommend turning the settings down to low or the resolution down to 4K, but on a game like Civ it seems like a waste to not use 4K since the FPS doesn't matter that much. The AI benchmark resulted in an average turn time of 22.01.
And for our final benchmark, we have Rome II, which recently got some updates and new DLC. Using the in game benchmark with ultra settings at 1080p, the Kaby Lake G processor was able to achieve a framerate of 30.7. I'd recommend turning the settings down a tad since framerate is somewhat important for Total War and you won't be caring too much about looks when you're doing battle.
Now, I did say I was going to test Witcher 3, but not actually benchmark it since there's no point. I wanted to bring attention to the fact that the 8705G can play Witcher 3 with a blend of low and ultra settings (because going from low to ultra on some settings does not impact performance) at about 45-60 FPS. Overall, the Kaby Lake G processor is very impressive given the cooling limitations of the laptop's design.
Now, why is the processor underperforming? On paper, it should be a good deal faster than a 1050 and at least only a little slower than a 1050Ti. Well, earlier I mentioned thermal throttling playing a part in Cinebench's performance, but in this case I believe something else is more to blame: power throttling. You see, the CPU and GPU only have 65 watts between them. A 7700HQ alone can use 35-45 watts. The HBM and GPU also need to get power. What will happen is that the harder the GPU is hit, the less power the CPU is allowed to use, and in some games you may see the i7 go as low as 2 GHz on all cores. However, I personally am very happy with performance.
Conclusion
Overall, the HP Spectre is a very well balanced machine. It's pretty thin, it's got good performance, it has a 4K display with enough brightness and color accuracy, it has good battery life, and it's not super expensive. If I had to give this a score out of ten, I'd give it a 9. Points off for disappointing battery life and performance, but you will have a hard time finding a laptop this thin, with this battery performance and computational power, at this price point. It's not a gaming laptop, but it works fine as one. Stuff like CSGO should work really well since it's a game highly dependent on the CPU and not the GPU. With many laptops, you make compromises like having a really big battery and then having almost no performance to speak of, or having a great GPU and CPU but it weights like 15 pounds, is more than an inch thick, and costs a fortune. The Spectre on the other hand has no major compromises and is an excellent choice for people who don't need a laptop that's the best at only one thing.

Best Computers for Nursing
Included below is a list of the five best computers to consider for nursing school. I choose these computers based on the following criteria: 1. Cost less than $1,000 (We are nursing students…) 2. At least an Intel 4th Generation Core i5 processor 3. At least a 128 GB solid state drive 4. At least 4 GB of RAM 5. Screen size at least 11 inches (those small screens are hard on my 26 year old eyes) 6. Webcam (may be necessary for distance/online students, and vid-chatting mom because she misses you a alot!) 7. Battery life  greater than 4 hours 8. Weights less than 5 lbs (you will be carrying it everywhere, might as well be light) 9. The latest operating system Computer specifications can be kind of complicated, so check out my  post if you want more details. All of the computers below meet the criteria published on nursing school websites for computer requirements as well. Yep, I’ve done my research.best computer for nursing school
And, clicking on the pictures and links will take you which I’ve found to usually have the best prices, free shipping, simplest return policy, best customer service, and solid warranty.
Asus K501LX-EB71 Great price and great hardware. It is hard to say no to the Asus. This bad boy comes with a hunge 15.6 inch screen, 256 GB solid state drive, and an Intel Core i7 processor. If you are looking for a practical premier quality computer, this one is perfect for you. I could image this one lasting through all 8 years of nurse practitioner school (BSN-MSN-DNP). The larger screen will be useful when writing papers and doing research, but keep in mind the larger screen means the computer will be heavier. Biggest Pros of Asus : Good price for the amazing high-quality hardware. By far, best bang for your buck. Free upgrade to Windows 10! Large 15.6 inch screen. Biggest Cons of Asus: No touchscreen. Lacks a “cool” factor. Large screen makes it heavier than others (4.4 lbs).
MacBook Air I actually use this computer every day at work and I have zero complaints. It’s fast. It’s sleek. It’s a top quality machine. It does run Mac OS X, which is the Macintosh version of Windows, so that does take some getting used to. I’d say the learning curve is about 1 week. Don’t expect your professors to know how to use a MackBook Air, but the IT people at your school certainly will. If you just want to solid capable computer and you want to be done with your search, go for this guy. You won’t be disappointed. Biggest Pros of the MackBook Air: Fast. Reliable. Only 2.96 lbs! And, it has the cool factor. Biggest Cons of the MacBookAir: No touchscreen. Pricey. Runs Mac OS X as opposed to Windows, which may have a learning curve for some.
Lenovo Flex 3 The Lenovo Flex 3 can serve as both your tablet and laptop. The touchscreen actually bends all the way backwards! While this computer meets all of my specifications above, it actually also comes with an additional 500 GB of storage space on top of the 8 GB solid state drive. On the downside, that extra hard drive space causes the computer to be on the heavier side at 4 lbs. The battery life is also shorter than most other computers at only 4 hours.
Biggest Pros of Lenovo f=Flex 3: Touchscreen and bendability. Can be used in tablet or laptop mode. Includes an additional 500GB storage space. Fingerprint security included. Biggest Cons of Lenovo Flex 3: Short battery life. On the heavy side at 4 lbs.
Surface Pro 3 This is the computer I have, and if you have spent any time on my website you can see how much I love it! The  weighs less than 2 lbs and comes with a pressure sensitive stylus that makes taking notes super easy. Here are  I took with the pen in nursing school, and another post titled “” The  completely detaches so it can easily become a tablet. You can also pop it into a  and it becomes a desktop computer. Also, the  is  which can come in handy during your clinical rotations. I love this laptop so much Microsoft even made a “” video of me using it (I know, right!). [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS3IzPBehvY[/embedyt] Biggest Pros of the : The unique Surface Pen and the ability to take handwritten notes directly on the screen. Long battery life (7.5 hours). Ultra light weight (1.96 lbs). Biggest Cons of the : High price once you purchase the keyboard and Doking Station (>$1,000). Smaller screen (11 inches).
Dell XPS13 Ultrabook This is a newer computer that meets all my specifications and touts a 15 hour battery life! That should last you all day in nursing school for sure. Unfortunately, like the , the  does not have a touchscreen. It does have a mini display port for easy connection to an external monitor. I’ve never used this one myself, but online reviews state that it is durable. Biggest Pros of the : 15 hour battery life! Super light weight at 2.6 lbs. You can walk around and shout “!” Biggest Cons of the : No touchscreen. Any questions? Please don’t hesitate to . I am very passionate (obsessed!) with technology so I am more than happy to answer your questions. Finding the right computer is important because it is one less thing to stress about in school!.

Atlanta Music School Lists 5 Best Laptops for Music Production
The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media explains the need for tools and instruments and identifies 5 top music production laptops. AIMM is rated as one of the best Atlanta Music Schools and offers exceptional recording and music production courses. The article stresses the importance of the best technology to produce, mix, and master music.
“Music producers need to utilize the best laptops they can get their hands on so their machines can keep up with their music.”
Tumblr media
The Atlanta school of music suggests using a laptop with a good processor and RAM to be able to tackle multiple tracks. For music producers who are always on the road, AIMM advises using a laptop that can “handle a drop or two as well as wear and tear from being in a bag a lot of the time.” This may include thin and light laptops that are easy to carry around.
The Atlanta music institute shares a list of the top five laptops for music production. MacBook Pro for Music Production tops the list, with 32 GB RAM, 2.6GHz 6-core Intel i7 processor, and up to a 512GB solid-state hard drive. The article lists several features of the MacBook Pro that make it unique while advising budding music producers to avoid the regular MacBooks.
“You can get your MacBook Pro for around $1300 (starting out).”
The second on the list of AIMM top laptops for music production is Microsoft Surface Book 2, which is a tablet and an extremely versatile machine. The top music school in Atlanta rates Surface Book 2 as the best of best with Intel i7 6-core processor, 256 GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and a 15" touchscreen display.
“If you opt for the 15" display (which is the minimum you should consider) and 256GB of storage, you're looking at about $2000 for the Microsoft Surface Book 2.”
The third on the AIMM list is Lenovo IdeaPad Y700, which gets a top spot for its powerful processor, “a terabyte of storage, serving up impressive speeds for a non-SSD with its quad-core Intel i7 processor.” AIMM states that its amazing graphics card sets it apart from the competition. The laptop comes with only 8 gigs of RAM, and the battery lasts 4 to 5 hours.
“The Lenovo has fantastic processing, and if you happen to be a gamer as well, this laptop is perfect for you. Produce music by day and play a little WoW or Sims on the side.”
Some like-new options are priced under $1000 on Amazon.
ASUS ROG Strix G15 comes next on the list of top laptops for music production. AIMM finds that the ASUS ROG is great for nearly any performance-intensive task with a ton of ports. The laptop comes in 15" model and 17" model. Anybody interested in bigger screens may find ASUS ROG a great option but “You just have to remember that bigger screens can negatively impact your mobility,” suggests the Atlanta school of music.
Last on the AIMM list is HP Spectre X360, which is a beautiful, versatile, and powerful 2 in 1 laptop with a folding 4K touchscreen. “The 15" model with an 8th generation Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a Radeon RX Vega graphics card is an excellent laptop for any music producer.”
The laptop comes with USB Type-A and 2 USB Type-C ports and an SD card reader and an HDMI port.
“The versatility and price point of the Spectre X360 an excellent choice for a WIndows-based music production laptop. You can order your HP Spectre X36O for about $1150.”
The article lists some minimum specifications that a budding music producer should seek in any laptop. This includes the right CPU, with at least 17 quad-core core and a minimum of 2.2Ghz frequency. Another important requirement is the RAM storage, which AIMM suggests, should be between 8GB and 16GB.
Hard Drive is another important criterion. AIMM recommends a “minimum of 256GB of internal storage and 500GB of external storage.” AIMM suggests 15" of screen size, which is easier to carry around.
As an AVID Pro Tools Training Partner, the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media prides itself on being one of the top music production schools for engineers and producers that want to learn the best insider tips regarding recording, mixing, and mastering.
A budding music producer should try to explore the list of laptops shared on the AIMM top tools and instruments for music production and get the best bang for their buck. AIMM warns, “The last thing you want to do is get stuck with a cheap machine that can handle the simple tasks you need it to perform. You don't want to get a laptop that takes the fun out of your profession.”

8.4 - So May We Reach Them
Tumblr media
Idolish Seven - Part 3, Chapter 8.4 For more Part 3 translations, click here!
Translation below the cut!
Nanase Riku: How about something like 'cheering on the people trying their best' as the theme? Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: They've been supporting us all this time, so it'd be great if we could return the favor and cheer for them too. We should sing and dance in a way that'll give them lots of energy! Izumi Mitsuki: I want lots of people to sing the song, so I think we should make it something that'll cheer you up as you sing it! It’ll make you more confident and blow your worries away! Momo: I want it to be a song that you can happily dance to with your friends or your work buddies! Full of love and gratitude! Rokuya Nagi: A great, positive song that will help you take on your love life, studies, work, and travels, and face them with excitement. Izumi Iori: Given the people assembled here, I'd like the song to bring out a sense of opulence and completeness. Within the framework of the charity, of course. Osaka Sougo: I hope it'll be something bright and vivid, with all of IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER, and Re:vale's colors mixed in. Yaotome Gaku: All twelve of us will be dancing. I'd like for everyone to show their individuality, and I also want our teamwork to come across to the audience. Nikaidou Yamato: Definitely. Something that'll cheer ya on, like 'You're not alone. Look around you, you're surrounded by friends.' That kinda feeling. Yotsuba Tamaki: That special, fun feeling. Kinda like when you're at a school festival! Kujou Ten: Something that won't bring shame to the charity telethon or ourselves. Yuki: ......That's a lot of requests, but I think I have an idea. Yuki: Let's make it a song that feels like a once-in-a-lifetime anniversary, but brings out the fun from everyday life. Yuki: It'll be special, but also normal. It'll be filled with a wish to cheer on someone out there, or even ourselves. It's our very essence. Yuki: Let's send ourselves as a message to them. (1)
Tumblr media
Osaka Sougo: I remember hearing that we'd have design references in this room.... Nanase Riku: Woah! They've got every single one of our stage outfits here! TRIGGER and Re:vale too! Nikaidou Yamato: Hey, Mitsu! You should put on Tsunashi-san's outfits! Izumi Mitsuki: The hell are you excited for! It's really obvious you have ulterior motives!! Yotsuba Tamaki: Rikkun, you should try on Tenten and Momorin's clothes. You're all the same height, yeah? Nanase Riku: If I remember correctly, you're the same height as Yaotome-san, right? You should try on his Leopard Eyes outfit! I bet you'd look super cool! Osaka Sougo: This is amazing! Just looking at the outfits makes me remember all of the songs. Ah! This is his "SECRET NIGHT" outfit! Izumi Mitsuki: I bet you'd look good in that one, Nagi! Here, put the hat on! Rokuya Nagi: I can pull of any kind of clothing. How does it look? Izumi Iori: All of you are acting like women in the Ladies' Section! Stop with the chit-chat and get to work! Yuki: How is it? Momo: It's really good! I love it! Yuki: That's what you always say.... Momo: If it's bad, I'll tell ya it's bad! I'm a fan though, so I'm happy to hear anything you write, Yuki. Yuki: I see.... Momo: Would you like me to critique you more? Yuki: From time to time, yes. Sometimes, when I'm trying to write a really good song, I lose sight of what makes a song splendid. Yuki: During times like that, I feel like I'm lost, all alone. It's painful. Momo: Oh.... Yuki: But knowing there's someone out there that will enjoy what I make, regardless of what it is, helps me keep my hands moving. Momo: Really? Yuki: Yeah. Stay here, and listen. *click*  Nanase Riku: Yuki-san, Momo-san! I wanted to ask you guys about the song so we could match the T-shirt designs to it! Yuki: What's your question? Nanase Riku: We were thinking of using the Chinese zodiac as a motif since there's twelve of us! So how about going with a more traditional Japanese style-- Ahahaha! (2) Yuki: Do you know what happens to naughty boys when they try to drastically change the composition this late in the game? (3) Nanase Riku: A-alright, then how about playing cards? There'll be one extra, but those are also numbered! Momo: IDOLiSH7 and TRIGGER would line up pretty nicely! Wouldn't we be different though? Yuki: What do you picture me as, Riku-kun? The jack? The queen? Or the king? Nanase Riku: Um.... The queen? Heeheehee! Yuki: The theme is love, isn't it? You're going to design it around love, aren't you? You wouldn't put the Chinese zodiac or playing cards into that, would you? Nanase Riku: 'Love' is too abstract, so it's hard to design around that! That's why we-- Ahahahaha! Yuki: I was struggling with the exact same thing! Momo: Yuki, Yuki! Don't threaten our kouhai! Yaotome Gaku: ......I get it, but isn't the demo a little late? When are we gonna start choreographing....... Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: How about I send them a RabbitChat about the tempo and mood of the song? Kujou Ten: Wouldn't it be better if we asked in person? Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: That's true, but Yuki-san's probably stressed right now and might pinch my cheeks if I go. .......Ah! He replied. Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: He says it's like "RESTART POiNTER." Yaotome Gaku: Huh. Ten, can you dance it out? I'll sing. Kujou Ten: Got it. Yaotome Gaku: Lalala la-lala la-lala la-lala.... Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Ah, wait. He says it's like "Leopard Eyes." Yaotome Gaku: Isn't that really fast? Ten, one more time. Kujou Ten: .... Got it. Yaotome Gaku: Da-dada dadada dada, da-dada dadada dada.... Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Wait, never mind. He says it's "SILVER SKY." Yaotome Gaku: Man, it's all over the place! Ten, one more time. Kujou Ten: ...... Hah.... Got it. Yaotome Gaku: Dadada bum-bum bum bum, bum bum bum..... Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Huh? I guess it's more like "Let's☆SUMMER!" then...? Kujou Ten: ......Can he contact us once he has a more concrete image? Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: "By the way, this is because your little brother told me to add in things like the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, the twelve-layered ceremonial kimono worn by court-ladies, the twelve apostles, or magnesium...." (4) Kujou Ten: Magnesium...? Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Because it's the twelfth element. Yaotome Gaku: Are our T-shirts gonna explode or what......?
Izumi Mitsuki: Woah! You're really good at drawing, Tamaki! Yotsuba Tamaki: Is it too empty? What should I add? Whatever it is, I want people to be happy when they see it. It's really hard to make people happy.... Izumi Mitsuki: That's such a grown-up thing to say. Did something happen? Yotsuba Tamaki: So like, the other day, I was strolling around on my way back from school. Yotsuba Tamaki: And this random older dude told me, "You've been such a goody two-shoes lately, Yotsuba. It's boring." Izumi Mitsuki: ....... Yotsuba Tamaki: You know how I was like before. I used to think stuff like 'shut up' or 'I'm bored' and didn't really care. Yotsuba Tamaki: But sometimes, you just wanna make the people watching you happy. You feel? Well.... That's me right now. Yotsuba Tamaki: So that's why.... Like.... Umm.... Like...... Yotsuba Tamaki: You know how you're always tryna make your fans happy, Mikkii? Izumi Mitsuki: Yeah..... Yotsuba Tamaki: I thought that was just you being nice, or a good guy, but.... Yotsuba Tamaki: You're not all bright and sparkly like that, it's more like, someone who gives you that really strong gut feeling.... Someone who works really hard.... That's what I think.... (5) Yotsuba Tamaki: Now, I'm just like, 'Wow, he's really got guts. He's really, really strong.' Yotsuba Tamaki: I gotta be a good kid, gotta be strong, gotta be funny and interesting. Yotsuba Tamaki: That's why stopped thinking stuff like 'I wish they'd shut up' or 'what a pain in the ass'.... Because I wanna be all of those things. Yotsuba Tamaki: Man, I wanna be like that.... Izumi Mitsuki: You can, and you will. Yotsuba Tamaki: Really? Izumi Mitsuki: Of course. Izumi Mitsuki: When you try really hard to make people happy and the opposite thing happens, it eats away at you. I was really down in the dumps back then. Yotsuba Tamaki: You, Mikkii? No way.... Izumi Mitsuki: Yeah. I was really, really sad. It was awful.... Hell, I wanted to disappear. I'd think stuff like, 'What the hell are you doing?' or 'What should I do?' Izumi Mitsuki: I was distressed about all sorts of things. But because I love you guys and the fans so much, I was able to stick it out. Yotsuba Tamaki: ......I really love everyone too. Izumi Mitsuki: Haha.... I know. You've become such a great guy, Tamaki. And to think you used to be such a selfish beast back then! Man.... Yotsuba Tamaki: Oh! He praised me. Izumi Mitsuki: You're the coolest! If it were possible, I'd cover your ears so you won't have to listen to all of those mean voices. Izumi Mitsuki: But you're not gonna lose to them, because I know you're a strong boy. Yeah? Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah! Izumi Mitsuki: Ahaha! Aw come on, you can't just draw a pudding on there! Yotsuba Tamaki: Haha! this one's mine.
To be continued....
TL Notes/comments:
thank u @kuriiii for proofing!!
(1) This is actually what the title is referring to but I modified title since a direct 'Let's send ourselves' would've been... A little....... Strange.
(2) Just wanted to point out that there is indeed a SSR set where all of the i7 characters are dressed up in zodiac-themed clothing! Also, 'Chinese' is there to clarify that they're doing the animal set and not the virgo, libra, etcetc zodiac.
(3) translating it directly ("So I guess this the mouth of a bad kid who tries to make drastic changes this late in the game?") would've been kinda weird so I went with my [tamaki voice] FEELING
(4) juunihitoe = probably easier to visualize than explain, so here's a pic!
(5) tamaki literally says 'makes you clench your stomach/abdomen really hard, that feeling' and i searched high and low and it's not some idiomatic phrase (Dont Ask Me how many 'how do i flex my abs :c' chiebukuro questions i sifted thru what the Fuck) so i went with my best interp of it?????? chikara wo ireru can also mean to try hard so Classic Me, I put in one line with the stomach part tl'd and another bit without the stomach part tl'd so pls correct me if Im wrong
As usual, if you see any mistakes/mistranslations/etc, please message me!
Thank you for reading!!

Tenn: I said that it's still early. You guys are pretty excited, aren't you.
Yamato: It's because we have Riku over here. He's in birthday countdown mode everyday.
Tsumugi: For the discussions to be used in this photobook series, Riku-san and Kujo-san's birthdays are coincidentally on the same day, so everyone, please have me in your care!
Mitsuki: It's fine! We understand! Kujo, I've seen the Tenn Photobook! As expected, you were pretty cool–!
Tenn: Thank you.
Riku: Everyone, which photograph of Kujo-san did you like best!?
Iori: Nanase-san, aren't you too excited to lead the conversation......
Sogo: I liked Kujo-san's Last Dimension costume. Rather than looking royalty-like as usual, it had a little devil feel and an edge to it. Perhaps the musical has influenced my point of view, though.
Tenn: So you've watched it. Thanks.
Sogo: Of course!
Nagi: I liked Kujo-shi's kimono. You magnificently transformed into a virtuous Japanese lady just like a kabuki actor (1).
Tenn: Thank you. Please try asking Izumi Iori or Osaka Sogo what is the true meaning of kabuki actors' transformations.
Nagi: Does it not mean "Your cosplay is wonderful"?
Tenn: Nikaido Yamato, please do not teach him lies.
Yamato: How did you know it was me?
Tenn: There's no one else who would.
Riku: Yamato-san, which one of Tenn
Riku: Yamato-san, which one of Kujo-san's photographs did you like best!? You can answer by including the cover picture too!
Yamato: Onii-san likes his casual clothing. It's nice that there's space alongside his clavicles.
Riku: Why is that nice? It's a good thing that Kujo-san has space there?
Yamato: It's hard to explain to a pure kid......
Tenn: I will make sure to remember it. Thank you.
Mitsuki: I guess I like the Christmas one–! The fact that the role was somewhere between a cute role and a Santa's role, it left a lasting impression on me! A warm and fluffy Kujo was fresh!
Tenn: Izumi Mitsuki was also cute in that drama. Thank you.
Riku: What else!? The cover picture is also part of your choices!
Tamaki: I like that one
Tamaki: The one where he matches with Rikkun and Iorin
Iori: That's the FureFure! Youth Anthem one, isn't it.
Tamaki: That
Tamaki: It was cute seeing him together with Rikkun and Iorin
Tamaki: That time, I looked more grown-up, and Tenten looked more child-like
Tamaki: Rikkun and Iorin too
Iori: What do you mean?
Riku: I'm older than you, Tamaki!
Tenn: The visuals and the song of the Love&Game group were adult-like, after all. What did you think of my child-like self?
Tamaki: You were cute like a toy soldier. The three of you looked like you came out of a box of toy soldiers.
Riku: I was happy to wear matching outfits too! The last person is Iori, right! Which photograph did you like best? You can pick the cover picture too!
Iori: You want us to pick the cover picture, don't you? Not only does your lead in seem forced, you are pretty persistent.
Riku: I didn't say that! You can pick whatever you like! Just pick the one that you like?
Mitsuki: Ah– Riku is sulking
Yamato: Should Onii-san change his answer to the cover picture
Sogo: I am also changing my answer to the cover picture.
Nagi: Me too :)
Tenn: You guys, please have more faith in the me that you like.
Iori: I like the Kujo-san on the cover. He's making a gentle, soft expression. The same goes for his gaze directed at the fans.
Iori: I wonder who in the world produced such a magnificent picture.
Riku: Ta-dah–! It was me–!
Tamaki: We know.
Mitsuki: We know.
Iori: We know.
Riku:
Tumblr media
Tenn: Thank you. I'm happy to have been able to receive so many wonderful comments.
Yamato: There you go again–. You immediately made a business-like comment.
Tenn: No, I mean it. I'm happy that I could leave different kinds of impression on each one of you. Of course, it's also thanks to the costumer and the cameraman, though.
Tenn: I respect you guys, so I'm proud of the fact that I can have a place in your hearts. Even though it's a bit embarassing.
Sogo: It's an honour for us, as well. Kujo-san.
Tamaki: Yeah–. Keep doing your best from now on.
Sogo: It's "I will look forward to your future activities," Tamaki-kun!
Tenn: It's fine. Thanks. I'll be doing my best.
Tenn: Nanase-san too, thank you for taking such a great picture.
Riku: My pleasure!
Riku:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi: Well then, I will be asking Kujo-san questions from IDOLISH7! There were a lot, so it was hard to narrow them down!
Tenn: I'm looking forward to it. I'll be in your care.
[Tsumugi: What kind of superpower would you like to have?]
Tenn: A superpower? I guess the ability to clone myself. I do think that it'd be nice if there were two or three of myself, sometimes.
[Tsumugi: What are you wishing for, for Tanabata (2)?]
Tenn: I wished for my work to bring happiness to our fans, to our members, and to the people involved with it.
[Tsumugi: What is your fanservice specialty?]
Tenn: A wink, and then BANG!
Tsumugi: Thank you! It was fun, but before we realized it, it's already ending. .
Riku: Huh!? It's already the end!
Tamaki: Even though I want to keep talking to Tenten
Tenn: Sorry. I have another job after this. I'm happy that I could talk with you all.
Tenn: In the same way that you said that you're looking up to us, we're also looking up to you. We will keep being in your care, from now on.
Mitsuki: The same goes for us!
Sogo: Happy birthday, Kujo-san.
Iori: Although you must be busy, please take care of yourself, and don't push yourself too hard.
Nagi: Kujo-shi too, spend an amazing birthday with everyone from TRIGGER.
Yamato: Good work! We'll be sending you messages on the actual day too!
Tenn: Thank you. Please have fun on Nanase-san's birthday with everyone in IDOLISH7, as well.

(1) The term that Nagi uses here is 大和撫子七変化 (yamato-nadeshiko shichihenge). I’m going to explain the meaning by breaking it down. Yamato-nadeshiko refers to a “ woman who displays the feminine virtues of old Japan.“ On the other hand, sichihenge refers to a type of kabuki, during which the actors quickly change outfits to seven times. If you take the term literally, it says “seven transformations.” If you have trouble imagining what it’s like, you can think of those modern magic tricks where the performers quickly change outfits on stage. But shichihenge, on top of the costume change, can also refer to the characters being multifaceted. For example, there’s a period drama called “Kotohime Hichihenge,” in which the character on top of being a princess, was skilled at swordfighting. The fact that Nagi thought that it meant that his cosplay was good is due to an oversimplified explanation of the term lol
(2) Tanabata is a Japanese Star Festival that takes place on July 7. The two deities and lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi are separated by the Milky Way, but can meet on that day, so people write their wishes on strips of paper (tanzaku), to wish to the stars. You can learn more about it here.

New Asus laptops bring some creative changes
We attended an Asus event yesterday to see all the new laptop products that they are releasing. I was pleasantly surprised to see some cool changes in these laptops and will most likely have a great effect in the industry.
Ons of the most notable changes is that of the ScreenPad, this pad replaces the trace/touch pad on the laptop. The ScreenPad is a colour touch screen that acts as your normal touch padand can then be customized to run Apps. For instance, you can at a touch change the screen to a calculator to quickly use and then switch back to the mouse control or while playing your favourite game, have the ScreenPad run your favorite playlist or even watch videos. This is a great innovation and should appeal to a mass market in my opinion.
More details can be seen below with the different laptop and which ones has some great new stuff to offer.
ASUS fashionably debuts new elegant, ultra-thin and light laptops in South Africa
The world’s third-largest laptop manufacturer, ASUS, debuted its new range of consumer laptops for the South African market at a glittering fashion show at Sandton City today.
ASUS South Africa unveiled its new premium ZenBook series – the ZenBook 13, ZenBook 14 and ZenBook 15, ZenBook Pro 14, ZenBook Flip 13 and ZenBook Flip 15 – and two new additions to its VivoBook family: the 14-inch VivoBook 14 and the 15.6-inch VivoBook 15 at a local launch, to follow their debut at global trade show CES in Las Vegas, US, earlier this month.
Top South African designers Neo Serati, inaugural Project Runway SA winner Kentse Masilo and Balini Naidoo showcased designs – inspired by ASUS – at the launch.
“South Africa is an important market for us which is why we wanted to launch our new models at a glittering event, similar to the global launch at CES, “ says Jasmine Lin, Product Manager & Marketing Head at ASUS South Africa.  “And we plumped for a fashion show because ASUS laptops are not just tools, they are lifestyle products that complement and enhance users’ lives.”
Lin adds that the new laptops demonstrated significant development in a field that had not seen a lot of innovation in the past few years.
“Our new models all feature four-sided frameless ultraslim bezels which mean that screen size has increased significantly while the actual devices themselves haven’t. And they feature ASUS’ innovative numeric keypads build into the touchpads which allow for  easy and familiar data entry. We also have innovative fingerprint and face recognition options to make logging in easier and more secure,” she says.
The ZenBook 13, 14 and 15 are part of a fully redesigned series of premium thin and light laptops with stunning new frameless NanoEdge display, which features ultraslim bezels on all four sides and an unrivaled up to 95% screen-to-body ratio[ for a near-borderless viewing experience. The NanoEdge display also allows a much more compact design, with the result that each of the new ZenBook models has the smallest footprint in its class.
The 13-inch and 14-inch models also optionally include the exclusive new NumPad, an innovative productivity enhancement that provides a full-size LED-illuminated numeric keypad built into the touchpad.
All models feature a special 3D IR camera that allows fast face login using Windows Hello, even in low-light environments.
The new models feature a full complement of high-performance components including the latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 quad-core CPU, up to NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics, 16GB RAM, ultrafast PCIe® SSDs and gigabit-class Wi-Fi.
Designed to be versatile, powerful and supremely portable, the 13.3-inch ZenBook Flip 13 and 15.6-inch ZenBook Flip 15 are 10% smaller than the previous models[ and feature frameless NanoEdge displays with ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides and a 90% screen-to-body ratio that enables a much more compact chassis design.
Both models incorporate a world-facing camera, designed specifically for use with mixed-reality applications that allow users to interact with 3D virtual objects in the physical world.
ZenBook Flip 13 also introduces the amazing new NumPad.
ZenBook Flip 15 and 13 are powered by the latest Intel® Core™ processors, and their touchscreen displays support an active stylus for easy and intuitive creative input. For the ultimate creative power, ZenBook Flip 15 adds high-performance discrete NVIDIA® graphics and a PANTONE® Validated display for accurate color rendering.
ZenBook Pro 14 features the futuristic new ScreenPad — an ASUS innovation that reinvents the way users work and interact with their laptop — and is designed for highly mobile artists, designers, programmers, or any kind of creator who’s excited by new technology
ScreenPad cleverly combines a touchpad with a high-resolution, full-color touchscreen to offer novel ways of interacting intelligently with both Windows apps and dedicated programs called ScreenPad Apps. Adaptive functions with context-sensitive tools enhance workflow and productivity, and ScreenPad is fully customizable to allow users to personalize their experience.
All models are torture-tested to military-grade (MIL-STD-810G) reliability standards, with demanding tests that include environmental extremes of altitude, temperature and humidity, in addition to extensive drop, shock and vibration testing.
They also feature the unique ErgoLift hinge design, which has a silky-smooth, stepless action that holds the display securely at any angle, allowing the laptops to be used in laptop, tablet, stand or tent modes — or anything in between — for the ultimate versatility.
When working on the go, it’s vital to be able to connect with anything and everything. The new ZenBook series features the revolutionary USB Type-C™ (USB-C™) port for any-way-up connections and superfast USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps[) data transfers, and there’s also a range of other USB ports, including USB Type-A (up to 5Gbps or 10Gbps) and/or USB 2.0. All models also include an HDMI port and a microSD or SD card reader, so it’s easy to connect to all your current and future peripherals.
Meanwhile, the VivoBook 14-inch X412 and 15-inch X512 feature frameless NanoEdge displays with at least an 87% screen-to-body ratio for immersive viewing.
The incredibly slim bezel allows a large display to fit into a smaller chassis, effectively reducing the laptop footprint for a more compact and portable machine.
These laptops are powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor with up to NVIDIA® GeForce® MX130 discrete graphics, and include the ErgoLift hinge that tilts the keyboard to replicate the feel of a desktop keyboard for a more comfortable typing experience.
VivoBook 14 and 15 are available in four gorgeous colors so users can select one that best express themselves. There are classics such as Transparent Silver and Slate Grey, as well as iridescent Peacock Blue, which changes color tone depending on how light strikes the laptop surface. There’s also the eye-catching Coral Crush, which is slated to be a big hit in 2019. The ZenBook 14 and 15 and Flip 15 are available In February while the ZenBook 13, Pro 14, Flip 13, and VivoBook 14 and 15 are available at selected retailers from March.
ASUS Republic of Gamers launches range of NVIDIA GeForce RTX laptops in South Africa
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) debuted its latest line-up of laptops, which will take gaming to the next level at a glittering fashion show at Sandton City today.
The ROG Zephyrus S GX701, ROG Zephyrus S GX531, ROG Strix Scar II 17, ROG Strix Scar II 15,
TUF Gaming FX705 and the TUF Gaming FX505 are filled with updates that elevate portable PC gaming experience across a diverse family of form factors.
Top South African designers Neo Serati, inaugural Project Runway SA winner Kentse Masilo and Balini Naidoo showcased designs – “Inspired by ASUS” – at the launch. The laptops were first debuted at the global trade show, CES, in Las Vegas three weeks ago.
“South Africa is an important market for us which is why we wanted to launch our new models at a glittering event, similar to the global launch at CES“ – says Jasmine Lin, Product Manager & Marketing Head at ASUS South Africa.
Lin says the new laptops will bring gaming to the next level: “ROG’s mission has always been producing the most innovative gaming solutions that enable the ultimate experience for gamers.  We’ve noticed that quite a few of gamers need their machines for both gaming and working. The ROG Zephyrus are designed for both scenarios”.
Zephyrus S GX701
Ultraslim gaming laptop that takes hardcore gaming to the next level with the new NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 20-Series GPUs with Max-Q design and 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor. Zephyrus S GX701 features a 17-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and frames it with super-narrow bezels. It also adds NVIDIA G-SYNC™ and Optimus™ technology into the mix. The PANTONE® Validated panel is ideal for immersive gaming or serious content creation. ProArt™ TruColor Technology guarantees color accuracy that is better than most desktop monitors.
Even with these upgrades and a much larger screen, Zephyrus S GX701 maintains an impressively slender profile and surprisingly compact footprint. It fits most conventional laptop bags and backpacks thanks to its slim 6.9mm bezels that allow the massive 17.3-inch screen to squeeze into a body just 15.7 inches wide. It’s the most compact 17-inch gaming notebook around, and at only 18.7mm, it’s also the thinnest.
A potent processor allows Zephyrus S GX701 to tackle any task with confidence. The 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H CPU boasts six cores and 12 threads with a peak Turbo clock of 4.1GHz.
There’s up to 24GB of fast DDR4-2666 system memory and up to 8GB of separate GDDR6 VRAM. Superfast storage is supplied by an NVMe SSD with up to 1TB of capacity and four lanes of PCI Express® 3.0 bandwidth.
To avoid compromising performance, the innovative Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) exposes a large intake when the lid is lifted to increase airflow compared to traditional designs. It draws additional air through vents above the keyboard, and dual fans propel it all through four heatsinks and exhaust vents flanking the rear corners to ensure Zephyrus S GX701 runs cool in all conditions.
Fan speeds are controlled by an intelligent algorithm that responds automatically to temperature changes. Users can choose between three expertly tuned profiles via a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly adapt to different usage scenarios.
Zephyrus S GX701 is a first gaming laptop capable of being powered by DC or USB Type-C™ (USB-C™) input. With support for USB Power Delivery, it can handle everyday work powered by a 65W Type-C adapter that’s much smaller than the required AC adapter for maximum gaming performance.
And thanks to Aura RGB technology – each key is illuminated by an independent RGB LED capable of producing a brilliant glow at peak brightness. Users can easily customize the intensity and configure colors and effects to suit different scenarios, like identifying important keys for specific games and choosing a subtler look for serious work.
Zephyrus S GX531
Putting high-end gaming components into an ultra-slim laptop is exceedingly difficult, especially when targeting a thinner chassis than ever before, but the Zephyrus S GX531 delivers with a remarkably compact body that’s a testament to ROG’s engineering prowess. The slender exterior measures nearly 15mm thin and leverages a 15.6” display with super-narrow bezels to squeeze into a smaller footprint, so you can easily stuff the system into bags made for laptops with much less power.
The ROG Zephyrus S GX531 lowers its profile without scaling back on specifications. You get cutting-edge parts like the latest Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, a premium 144Hz refresh rate display plus all the ROG essentials. They are just squeezed into a slimmer package that lacks some of the extras available in the new compact 17” ROG Zephyrus S GX701. That makes the smaller Zephyrus S a more focused alternative for people who prioritize portability above everything else.
ROG Strix SCAR II GL504/GL704
ROG Strix occupies a more mainstream middle ground between beast-like desktop replacements and premium ultra-slim gaming laptops.
Built for the FPS side of the esports arena, the ROG Strix SCAR II comes in 15.6” and 17.3” flavors available with the same 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Both versions are draped in a shooter-inspired motif that uses splashes of camouflage to create a unique aesthetic fit for the battlefield. Highlighted WASD keys further reinforce the SCAR’s roots and ensure that you can easily find the home row for FPS gaming.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU gives the 15” SCAR II GL504GV and 17” SCAR II GL704GV enough horsepower to drive triple-digit frame rates in popular shooters. Serious gamers should upgrade to the GeForce RTX 2070, though; the SCAR II GL504GW and GL704GW offer this more powerful graphics with both screen sizes, providing additional performance headroom for competitive gaming, demanding AAA titles, and cutting-edge VR experiences. Choose between a larger 17” display that is more immersive and a compact 15” display that is more portable.
TUG Gaming FX505/FX705
Announced TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705, are durability-enhanced 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch gaming laptops that have been carefully engineered to deliver all the essentials needed for high-end gaming experiences at affordable prices.
Both feature FHD IPS-level NanoEdge displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, delivering ultra-smooth and clear gameplay that avoids blurring. The matte non-reflective displays cover the entire sRGB color gamut and produce vivid colors even at wide viewing angles.
Powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, a next-gen workhorse with six cores and 12 threads, not only capable of providing best-in-class gaming experiences, but also able to process multithreaded workloads much faster than the previous generation. Both models feature up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, supremely capable of high-framerate gaming at FHD resolution. Up to 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM, a 512GB PCIe® SSD, and a 1TB FireCuda™ solid-state hybrid drive (SSHD) ensure snappy Windows performance and fast game-load times.
As with all TUF Gaming products, FX505 and FX705 are built to withstand everyday abuse. They are put through rigorous quality and durability tests that exceed industry standards, and they have also passed the demanding military-grade MIL-STD-810G test for sudden jolts.
AVAILABILITY & PRICING ROG Strix SCAR II models are already available while the ROG Zephyrus S and TUF Gaming are available at selected retailers from next month.

Need for Speed: Heat PC Performance Analysis
Electronic Arts has released the latest part in the NFS series, Need for Speed: Heat. Need for Speed: Heat is using the Frostbite Engine so it’s time to benchmark it and see how it performs on the PC platform.
For this PC Performance Analysis, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz, AMD’s Radeon RX580 and RX Vega 64, NVIDIA’s RTX 2080Ti, GTX980Ti and GTX690. We also used Windows 10 64-bit, the GeForce driver 441.12 and the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.11.1 drivers. NVIDIA has not included any SLI profile for this title, meaning that our GTX690 performed similarly to a single GTX680.
Ghost Games has added a few graphics settings to tweak. PC gamers can adjust the quality of Textures, Shadows, Texture Filtering and Ambient Occlusion. There are also options for Anti-aliasing, Effects, Geometry, Terrain, Vegetation, Post-Process, Reflections, Depth of Field and Lighting.
Need for Speed: Heat does not feature any built-in benchmark tool. As such, we’ve benchmarked the game during night and rain in the first big city. Do note that this is a stress test, meaning that other areas (especially during the day) will run better.
In order to find out how the game scales on multiple CPU threads, we simulated a dual-core, a quad-core and a hexa-core CPU. For some strange reason, the game would not launch when Hyper Threading was disabled. We were able to replicate this multiple times, so we are not sure what is going on here. Not only that, but the game would not load at all on our Intel i7 4930K system. That CPU is well above the game’s minimum CPU requirements. However, the game was immediately closing and “disappearing” from the task manager. Need for Speed: Heat uses Denuvo so I don’t know whether these launch issues are due to this anti-tamper tech. Bottom line is that we could not test the game on a variety of CPUs, and we are not the only ones facing this issue.
Performance is also underwhelming, especially after what Playground Games has achieved with its Forza Horizon series. At 1080p, we were CPU/memory limited on our Intel i9 9900K. While both our simulated hexa-core and eight-core systems were able to run the game with more than 60fps, our simulated quad-core system had major performance issues. On that system, NFS: Heat ran with a minimum of 22fps and an average of 28fps. This is atrocious performance for a modern-day quad-core system. As for our simulated dual-core system, the game ran with… wait for it… 10fps.
There is something wrong going on here and Ghost Games will have to release a performance patch for this game as soon as possible. It’s inexcusable for a game like NFS: Heat to perform that horribly on a quad-core system, plain and simple. Now I’ve seen some YouTubers running the game on i5 CPUs without experiencing these issues. As such, I don’t know why the game behaves this way on our system. Seriously, just take a look at the following screenshot. Witness that awful frame pacing/framerate issues (as well as the game maxing out all eight CPU threads).
Need for Speed: Heat also requires high-end GPUs in order to be enjoyed. The only GPUs that were able to offer a smooth experience at 1080p/Ultra were the Vega 64 and the RTX2080Ti. The GTX980Ti was unable to offer a 60fps experience even at 1080p.
The only GPU that was able to run the game smoothly at 2560×1440 was the RTX2080Ti. Our Vega 64 was able to push a minimum of 48fps and an average of 55fps at that resolution. As for 4K, even our RTX2080Ti was unable to offer a 60fps experience. Now as we said, this is the worst case scenario so you should keep that in mind.
Graphics wise, Need for Speed: Heat looks great during the night. There are multiple volumetric lights and everything looks amazing. In daytime, the game looks slightly worse than Forza Horizon 4 (mainly because Playground’s open-world racer features a dynamic day/night cycle). Need for Speed: Heat also features a lot of destructible objects, something that put a smile on our faces. It’s really refreshing watching a game in which we can destroy most objects.
All in all, Need for Speed: Heat is a mixed bag. The game currently suffers from major launch issues on a huge range of PC systems. This is something that Ghost Games really needs to address as soon as possible. The game also appears to be requiring a lot of CPU raw power, and is unplayable on modern-day quad-core systems (at least on Ultra settings). On the other hand, players can destroy a lot of environmental objects, and its visuals are – for the most part – great. Here is hoping that Ghost Games will iron the game’s issues with some post-launch patches.
Enjoy!

It is a soothing sight for any tech geek because of its elegant design and construction and smooth performance just adds more to it, the Asus Zenbook 14 is a dream. Also, screenpad 2.0 feels easy to use.
Pros
New and improved ScreenPad is easier to use
ScreenPad is big and ultra-responsive
Blue and gold design stands out from the pack
Cons
ScreenPad still eats into the battery
Low colour gamut scores will put off pro creatives
Last year, It was quite exciting when Asus released the Zenbook Pro with the Screenpad. It offered a touchpad that controlled more than just the cursor seemed promising. Like the first version, the Asus Zenbook 14(UX434F) is one of the latest Zenbook laptops to come with Asus’s revamped Screenpad- a trackpad that’s also a touchscreen.
The first version of the screenplay was impressive and attention-grabbing, but it lacked app support and was hard-hitting on the battery life of laptops. But Asus has promised that they have now fixed both of the issues. Whatever you are playing, watching, or listening to, managing screenpad content is easy. Swiping up from the bottom of the screenpad will see a number of controls placed at your fingertips.
Design and Build Quality
The design of the new Asus Zenbook 14 is similar to its previous generation- and this is a good thing. This thin and light beauty looks amazing and feels great in the hand. The Asus Zenbook 14 is just 0.67 inches thick and weighs just 2.78 pounds while managing to fit a 14-inch full HD display. It’s such a powerful laptop.
Instead of the bog-standard black and grey laptop chassis designs that flood the market, you get a sumptuous regal blue and rose gold color combo here. The Zenbook 14 is also available in rose gold and silver variants, for those who like their laptops to look more traditional.
Features and Audio
It is definitely winning in the audio department. The soundbar can be found just above the keyboard amid it is complemented by a pair of speakers on the bottom of the laptop. We are able to hear music when it’s played in a crowded room, and it even sounds halfway decent.
The Asus Zenbook 14 features the new Screenpad 2.0, which is bigger than the last generation and also more feature-rich. Rather than a handful of Asus-exclusive apps, the screen pad now has native compatibility with a bunch of third-party programs, with Evernote being the most useful. It’s 14-inch Full HD(1920×1080) display. The colors on the screen are really very vibrant and soothing and should be accurate enough for light creative work.
Display 14″ FHD (1920 x 1080) NanoEdge, 60Hz, 178° wide-view technology, up to 92% S/B ratio Processor Quad-core Intel i7-8565U clocked at 1.80 GHz Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce MX250, 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620
Storage 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD Memory 16GB LPDDR3 2133MHz
It is definitely winning in the audio department. The soundbar can be found just above the keyboard amid it is complemented by a pair of speakers on the bottom of the laptop. We are able to hear music when it’s played in a crowded room, and it even sounds halfway decent.
Audio
ASUS SonicMaster stereo audio system, certified by Harman Kardon
Array microphone with Cortana and Alexa voice-recognition support
Keyboard and Touchpad
The keypad given in it gives you a smooth feel. The 1.4mm space also separates 2 keys. The keypad is also backlit with white color only. Asus used the function (Fn) key as a toggle, in which you can press the key once and use the settings of your choice from F1 to F12. You have a lot of space on both sides of the touchpad which is normal but this touchpad is not normal.
In the Asus Zenbook 12, the touchpad has been replaced with a screen-pad with a 5.65-inch FHD + Super IPS touchscreen. Apart from this, you can also use it as a normal touch-pad. In this too, you have been supported by 178-degree wide-view technology. You also get some extra features on it.
Apart from all these, you can watch YouTube-game-play on the screen at the time of gaming or you can use some other application. Asus has provided open-source support for developers to optimize the application for its smaller screen.
Connectivity and Battery
Over on the right, there’s a settings cog that let you adjust the screenpad’s brightness, resolution ( your options are: 1000×500, and 2160×1080), refresh rate (50hz, 60hz), engage battery saver mode, change the screenpad’s background image, or even re-watch the demo video you get at the start for a refresher on how it all works. Battery performance was roughly on a par with what I saw with the previous Zenbook Pro 14, which uses the same processor but a different graphics unit(Nvidia GeForce GTx1050 vs Nvidia MX250) and a smaller Screenpad(5.5-inches vs 5.6-inches) with a lower resolution. Running Geekbench 4’s CPU stress test, scores of 5275 and 15,849 were achieved for the single and multi-core tests respectively. I have seen similar results from other laptops with the same CPU.

Dell's $1,850 XPS 15 laptop may seem expensive, but it's a bargain compared another laptop with almost identical specs: Apple's MacBook Pro
When I first caught wind of a laptop with an OLED screen, I jumped on the chance to try it.
There are few laptops that come with OLED screens — the pinnacle of TV and smartphone screen technology with the richest colors and supreme contrast that makes everything pop.
You'll most often find OLED screens on LG TVs and premium flagship smartphones from Samsung and Apple. So why shouldn't laptops get them, too? Many of us arguably spend more time in front of a computer screen than TVs and smartphones, after all.
As with premium TVs and smartphones with OLED screens, the XPS 15 with a 4K OLED screen demands a larger chunk of your bank account — a minimum of $1,850, to be precise.
But, in several respects, this isn't the worst deal in the world — not by a longshot. Other Windows 10 laptops with similar specs hover around the same price tag. And compared to Apple's $2,400 MacBook Pro with the same specs, the $1,850 XPS 15 feels like a bargain.
The Dell XPS 15's size and weight seemed daunting at first, but I had no problems carrying this thing around as if it was a slim and light 13-inch laptop.
If you're checking out the XPS 15, I'm going to assume you've made peace with the fact that 15-inch laptops aren't as light and portable as smaller 13-inch laptops. Fans of 15-inch screens will take the hit in portability for the extra screen space.
Having just used slim, light, 13-inch laptops for a while, the four-pound, 15-inch Dell XPS 15 seemed massive and heavy at first.
Still, after using it day after day, I realized I didn't have to make any changes to accommodate the XPS 15's extra heft. I carried around the XPS 15 around in my hands and backpack like any of the 13-inch laptops I've recently used without noticing much of a difference. I even use it during my train commute without missing a smaller laptop.
The XPS 15 and its variety of ports makes my USB-C-only MacBook Pro feel a lot less useful.
Right off the bat, I'm not a major fan of laptops that don't come with regular USB ports. I still own several devices that use regular USB connectors, and new accessories and peripherals are still coming out with regular USB connectors, which means I need to fetch or bring a dongle wherever I go with my MacBook Pro. The Dell XPS 15 is a great antidote, and requires no dongle.
It has:
2 regular USB ports (USB 3.1 Gen 1)
1 HDMI port (2.0)
1 USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 (for docking and connecting to several accessories and peripherals)
1 SD card port
1 headphone jack
A non-standard power port
You even get a battery gauge that lets you see how much battery is left without opening the lid and waking up the laptop.
The keyboard and trackpads are good, but they could have been better.
The XPS 15's "top case" where the keyboard and trackpad lies looks great with the signature XPS carbon fiber design, but it feels a little empty. There's plenty of space, and it doesn't feel like Dell made the most of it.
The backlit keyboard is good, and my nitpicks include slightly wobbly keys, and the keys could have been bigger. Oddly enough, the smaller XPS 13 with a 13-inch screen has larger keys, and it offers a better typing experience as a result. Still, no matter what, the XPS 15's keys offer a better and quieter typing experience that Apple's controversial "butterfly" keyboards.
Also, I'm not sure why Windows 10 laptop makers are letting Apple get away with the largest and best trackpads. The XPS 15's trackpad is very good, accurate, and smooth, but it could have been bigger. There's certainly enough room.
Dell and other Windows 10 laptop makers still let Apple laptops have the best speakers, too.
The XPS 15's speakers are fine. They're a little hollow and don't have much punch or bass. They're fine-enough that I'm not reaching for headphones every time I want to watch a casual YouTube video, but Apple still dominates the laptop speaker game.
The XPS 15 model I've been using has a 4K OLED display, and it's absolutely glorious, to put it lightly.
OLED is the peak in screen technology, as it delivers superlative colors and contrast compared to any other screen technology. Every app, website, and video on the XPS 15's 4K OLED screen looks amazing.
Still, OLED isn't absolutely necessary. LCD screen technology has come a long way, and I've seen some LCD laptop screens that come incredibly close to the OLED screens, like Dell's own XPS 13 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
Unfortunately, the 4K OLED screen option is only available starting with the $1,850 XPS 15 that comes with an Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM. If $1,850 isn't within your budget, your only option is a regular LCD 1080p resolution screen on the XPS 15s.
There is one thing you compromise by going with a 4K laptop, and that's battery life.
4K screens often mean less battery life.
The downside of 4K resolution screens is that they invariably gulp more battery power than lower-resolution displays, like 1080p. Dell says the 4K OLED model gets about 10 hours of battery life, and the 1080p models get 20 hours.
It's tough to say if I'm getting exactly 10 hours of battery life for a mixture of video streaming and regular work. By Windows 10's estimates, the highest battery life I've seen so far with the Windows "Battery Saver" setting is about eight hours. Currently, at 81% while only switching between a few Chrome tabs and the screen at about 80% brightness, Windows 10 is telling me I have six hours and 31 minutes left.
Still, regardless of Dell's accuracy with its battery claims, the 4K XPS 15 models will drain the battery life significantly faster than 1080p models.
Another thing I should point out: The XPS 15 comes with a non-standard charger rather than a USB-C charger. It's not because Dell is late in adopting USB-C for charging. It's because USB-C chargers, capped at 100W, can't deliver the 130W of power the XPS 15 demands.
I've been using the $2,550 Core i9 model, and most of us don't need so much power. But it sure is nice ...
The Core i9 9980 "HK" processor in the XPS 15 model that Dell sent me absolutely flies through everything I do on it. It's absurdly fast, smooth, and far more responsive than the lower powered "U" series chips you'd find on smaller 13- or 14-inch laptops that are designed for ultra-light and slim designs.
Dell's XPS 15 laptops are also available with the performance "H" series of Intel's 9th-generation Core i5 and Core i7 chips, which are also inherently faster than the "U" series you'd find on smaller, thinner, lighter laptops. The i5 and i7 are much better suited for those of us who don't need the power of the Core i9 for intense video and photo editing.
The XPS 15s also come with an Nvidia 1650 graphics chip, which professionals will appreciate more than gamers.
For video and photo editors: a quick stress test with the AIDA 64 software showed that the XPS 15 with the Core i9 can stick at about 2.7GHz without thermal throttling, but it won't maintain its 5GHz boost for very long. That boost is designed for shorter bursts to open files and apps at a boosted speed rather than rendering your photos and videos. Other reviews I've seen for the Core i9 have suggested that the XPS 15 may thermal-throttle to a lower speed over long periods of intense usage.
I've loved the OLED experience of the Dell XPS 15, and starting at $1,850, it's not an unreasonable recommendation. Here's the bottom line:
If you just like the extra screen space of a 15-inch laptop and you're not looking to do a lot of intensive work, the base $1,050 XPS 15 with a Core i5 should suit you just fine. It's still a powerhouse. (However, Microsoft has just announced its new Surface Laptop 3 laptops that look mighty tempting, and I'd wait to read the reviews for Microsoft's new offering.)
For power and a 4K OLED screen — including an Nvidia 1650, if that matters to you — the Core i7 models starting at $1,850 will handily meet your demands.
For unbridled power and a 4K OLED, the Core i9 will do the trick. But starting at $2,550, it's more of a professional's option rather than something most of us actually need.

Amazon Prime Day 2019: Finest laptop computer and Chromebook offers; save $200 off the brand new MacBook Air
http://tinyurl.com/y34jtf6d We’re coming into the house stretch of Amazon Prime Day — Day 1, not less than — and we’re nonetheless seeing new laptop computer offers sprouting up. A lot of the standout reductions we have seen to this point have been on gaming laptops and Chromebooks, although the 2018 MacBook Air deal from this morning ($200 off) has returned. We have additionally discovered some excellent offers on desktops and Fire tablets and iPads. Take into account that rival retailers, together with Walmart, eBay and Goal, will proceed to unleash new laptop computer and PC offers tonight and tomorrow to problem Amazon’s annual megasale. Walmart’s sale kicked off on Sunday and can proceed by tomorrow (Tuesday, July 17) on Walmart.com. And eBay’s eBay’s sitewide Crash Sale and Target’s Deal Days summer sale at the moment are in full swing.  Amazon continues to mark down new laptops and PCs and there is no doubt loads extra to come back later tonight and tomorrow. We have highlighted the perfect offers out there proper now beneath.  Issues to remember We’ll acquire the entire laptop computer and PC offers right here. We’ll control pricing and availability, and observe when sure gadgets promote out. We’re posting the perfect laptop computer, PC, Chromebook and MacBook offers proper right here — no matter retailer. Observe that CNET could get a share of income from the sale of the merchandise featured on this web page. Sarah Tew/CNET We acquired almost 11 hours of battery life from this laptop computer, which is slim and light-weight and comes with a killer number of parts for the worth. Sarah Tew/CNET That is the 2018 model of Dell’s XPS 13, and it is an absolute steal at this value. Observe that Amazon has been slowly growing the worth of this mannequin since this morning. Óscar Gutiérrez/CNET This deal bought out earlier, nevertheless it has returned, and it is nonetheless superior: The brand new MacBook Air again on the previous MacBook Air value. That is the 2018 version of Apple’s lightest laptop computer, which comes with a dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 128GB arduous drive. (Observe that there is an excellent newer mannequin, which has Apple’s True Tone know-how. In any other case, this Amazon configuration is kind of precisely the identical.) Josh Miller/CNET That is an older MacBook Professional configuration, with out the Contact Bar. However that is an inessential function anyway, and you continue to get some fairly modern parts, together with a Core i5 CPU, a 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM.  Sarah Tew/CNET This deal is not out there.  This Envy configuration options an eighth-gen Intel Core i7 processor, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD and an Nvidia GeForce MX150 CPU, which has proved to be a great chip for quicker video and photograph modifying and taking part in current games at low to medium graphics settings. Gaming laptops Sarah Tew/CNET The 15.6-inch Dell G5 15 is a supersolid entry-level gaming laptop computer. Walmart’s configuration comes outfitted with an eighth-generation Intel Core i5-8300H CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 4GB Nvidia GeForceGTX 1060 Ti GPU. It additionally serves up a tandem storage answer with a speedy 256GB SSD and a roomy 1TB arduous drive.  Sarah Tew/CNET Ring the alarm: Tthis deal is nuts. I reviewed the Asus Zephyrus S last year and cherished its 15.6-inch HD show and backlit keyboard. And the GeForce GTX 1070 GPU is potent sufficient to deal with nearly any modern recreation. At this value — a 31% low cost off its pre-Prime Day complete — it is an absolute no-brainer for anybody in search of a strong machine with a supersleek profile.  Sarah Tew/CNET Amazon has dished up low costs on a couple of Asus gaming laptops within the run as much as Prime Day — and this one makes for a welcome addition. This deal options the older model of the Strix Scar II we reviewed final yr nevertheless it comes outfitted with strong parts for the worth: an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, GTX 1050 Ti graphics and a giant 17.3-inch show with a 120Hz refresh price. Observe that the mannequin with the bigger, 256GB SSD arduous drive seems to be cheaper than the comparable mannequin with the 128GB drive. Sarah Tew/CNET This laptop computer was promoting for $900 earlier this morning. Nonetheless, for $1,077, you get a15.6-inch FHD show, an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256GB SSD. Observe that Amazon has been slowly growing the worth of this mannequin since this morning. Sarah Tew/CNET Razer’s not identified for cheap techniques, so a value drop this low for its entry-level slim gaming laptop computer is value having a look at. Observe that the low cost solely applies to the bottom system. Chromebooks Lenovo Although it does not have sufficient firepower to function your foremost laptop computer, the S330 is nice sufficient to function a secondary machine for the highway or for younger children. It is about half the worth of one other Lenovo mannequin we like, the Flex 11, with some comparable specs and a bigger — although non-touchscreen — show.  Sarah Tew/CNET And this is one other worthwhile Chromebook deal: The Plus V2 is a two-in-one, which implies you should use it as a laptop computer or flip the display 360 levels and use it as a pill (or put it into tent mode or set it up like a kiosk for watching motion pictures or giving displays). This configuration options fairly pedestrian specs — an Intel Celeron CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB arduous drive — however at this value, it is nonetheless an amazing deal. Sarah Tew/CNET Asus debuted the Flip C434 in January, changing the corporate’s Chromebook C302 — a breakout hit that was for a very long time the top-ranked bestseller in Amazon’s two-in-one class. The brand new mannequin takes a couple of aesthetic departures from its predecessor, shifting away from the C302’s two-tone black and silver to a extra uniform brushed aluminum design. Asus has additionally bumped up the display measurement: Now you get a 14-inch FHD show that is surrounded by comparatively skinny bezels.  Desktop PCs Amazon The Acer Chromebase AIO is a little bit of an oddity: a desktop PC with the aesthetics of the iMac and the center (and working system) typical of a bargain-bin Chromebook. This method was $799 when it debuted in 2016; in the meanwhile, Amazon is promoting it for $320. The parts are lower than spectacular — an Intel Celeron CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD — however you additionally get a 23.8-inch HD LED IPS backlit show (and a keyboard and mouse).  iBuyPower Amazon had an analogous rig on sale final yr — however with lesser parts and a better price ticket. This yr, you get a reduction on a machine outfitted with an eight-core Intel i7-9700Okay CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card together with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 240 SSD-1TB arduous drive combo.  Now taking part in: Watch this: Amazon Prime Day 2019: Every part to know 1:43 Source link

Dell XPS 17 (L701X) Review
The Dell XPS seventeen (1710X) is often a desktop alternative notebook that is primed to be used to be a gaming laptop computer,a media centre or maybe a cell workstation! It's a adaptable Dell notebook using a 17.3in touchscreen plus a high-end configuration that features a quad-core Intel Main i7 CPU,two hard drives and a strong NVIDIA graphics processor.Dell has carried out away with lots of more mature connectivity alternatives, such as VGA,but involved mod drawbacks like DisplayPort, rather.
Design and Features
The Dell XPS 17 (1710X) is usually a major notebook: its foundation is 415mm extensive and 285mm deep, and it weighs just about 4kg.It is not a unit you might desire to use on your lap,and also you will not likely need to transportation to and from your place of work far too generally. It feels effectively built, and has a considerable multitouch touchpad along with a really sturdy, backlit keyboard.Alongside the perimeters in the notebook caricabatterie dell inspiron fifteen 7577 are two USB two.0 ports,a few audio ports,an SD card slot and also a Blu-ray drive.A lot more connections are located alongside the rear with the notebook: you obtain two USB 3.0 ports,a Gigabit Ethernet port,HDMI and DisplayPort, and an antenna port for your inside electronic Tv set tuner. It lacks FireWire and VGA,and what's more, it doesn't have an ExpressCard enlargement slot.We are in no way unfortunate about these omissions, while it could be nice to obtain an ExpressCard slot in the event you need to make use of FireWire or an growth dock within the potential. The XPS 17 also has Bluetooth,802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi,in addition to a 0.9-megapixel,Skype-certified webcam. The choice of features the XPS seventeen boasts is extremely extraordinary.A pair of focused JBL speakers sit imbedded during the laptop's chassis and supply many of the most effective audio we've ever listened to from a laptop computer.Should you use your equipment for tunes playback, this can certainly be a significant reward for yourself. The notebook also comes bundled with Nvidia's 3DTV Enjoy technological know-how.Because of this, whilst the laptop's panel isn't 3D prepared, you could stream 3D information to the suitable Tv set or watch caricabatterie dell precision 15 throughout the notebook. This will make it a great option for the people wanting to stream 3D games and movies to share on the significant monitor. There is also 2-megapixel webcam integrated. The XPS 17 is surely an extraordinary multimedia equipment that doesn't value the earth.Excellent effectiveness and usefulness are joined by a highly extraordinary characteristics list for making this a competitive offer.Like Apple with its Macbook variety,Dell consistently refreshes its Inspiron and XPS desktops and laptops. We very last seemed on the mid-range Inspiron 17R and ended up really amazed while using the stylish refresh. Now it's the perfect time to test out Dell's new high-end XPS seventeen.Sitting just one step down below the company's final Studio XPS line, the 'vanilla' XPS is nonetheless a pretty potent beast. You could get up to Intel Main i7 quad main processors; focused,optimus-enabled graphics with as many as 1.5GB of movie memory and the skill to output to your 3D exhibit; a whopping 16GB of procedure memory; as much as one.5TB of really hard push space and JBL 2.one audio. They're also the world's 1st Skype-certified laptops with High definition webcams,so those addicted to 720p video chat really should come to feel correct at your house.USB three.0 and DisplayPort may also be on board, making for a powerful line-up.Not surprisingly, our evaluation sample (L701X) is specified somewhat more modestly.Processing obligations are dealt with by a dual main Core i5 460M running at 2.53GHz,backed up by 4GB of DDR3 RAM.It is also a good deal powerful around the graphics front, supplementing Intel's integrated graphics with the Nvidia GeForce 435M with 1GB of RAM for graphics acceleration caricabatterie lenovo adlx90nlt3a and light-weight gaming when plugged in.Dell materials fast 7,200rpm tough drives across its XPS seventeen array, and using this type of product you can get a generous 500GB capability. This all guarantees the amazingly thoroughly clean put in of Windows 7 Residence Premium 64-bit operates fantastically.Nonetheless, what immediately catches the attention in regards to the seventeen.3in XPS is its unapologetic bulk. With a commencing weight of in excess of 3.4kg and dimensions of 415 x 287.3 x 32.8-38.5mm,this laptop computer will take its position being a desktop substitute very seriously.Despite this,it is really however a beautiful equipment.Nearly all its lid is made up of a one sheet of anodized aluminium, which appears and feels good, and would not clearly show up fingerprints or grease marks like the glossy finishes uncovered about the lids of most laptops.Such as the Asus G73Jh,the reduce 50 % protrudes a little bit with the back again, demonstrating off a white-backlit XPS emblem.Opening the XPS seventeen up reveals a matt black screen bezel, which should make really some individuals delighted.Though the keyboard encompass and palm-rest area are constructed from a further single sheet of aluminium, this time it really is in the brushed black complete matching the rest of the interior.Though fingerprints batteria hp cm03xl will probably be seen listed here,it is really nowhere in the vicinity of as undesirable as a little something like Toshiba's Satellite L650,and is a small price tag to pay to the good quality experience and solidity when resting your arms on it.The laptop's base is plastic, coloured silver to match the lid.The ability button, position indicators and touch-sensitive controls - all uncovered inside of a piano-black strip above the keyboard - are properly backlit in white.General,Dell has done a fantastic job with this particular very simple nevertheless visually partaking search.
Build high quality is more of a blended bag,for though it's mostly wonderful, there are actually a few spots along the bottom the place there is extra 'give' than we prefer to see,and 1 spot from the palm-rest the place urgent down results in an audible click.Even now, these are insignificant troubles in precisely what is,all round,a really well-built equipment. In utilize the XPS seventeen usually stays whisper-quiet,even though beneath load its fans do usually rev up and it results in being very audible. We also uncovered the remaining palm-rest receives incredibly heat to your touch just after the laptop continues to be managing at full load for some time.If you prefer to work with the XPS 17 (1710X) out on your balcony or in your yard, you will get irritated through the hugely reflective monitor.Even putting it in close proximity to a window batteria hp probook 450 g3 on a cloudy day will induce a great deal of reflections to appear around the display screen. In essence,it truly is not a notebook which you could comfortably use outside or in bright places. The multitouch touchscreen includes a resolution of 1600x900.The big screen is useful when you need to line up home windows side by aspect, even so the touchscreen is one thing that's more of the novelty for impressing your buddies rather than anything that can make you a lot more productive. In expressing that,it can be fun to work with your fingers to modify Internet browser tabs,to zoom and rotate photographs, also to choose music and movie documents.Using the touchscreen in this particular way for your extended length of time may be tiring, nevertheless.Dell ships the XPS 17 by using a touch interface termed Dell Contact Zone, which requires up almost a third of the place over the Desktop when it is open, and it can be used to start picture, tunes, online video and Internet programs. With the leading from the display screen caricabatterie toshiba pa3917u you can find the Dell Dock, which lets you perform several identical tasks - it can be more aggravating than practical. All up,the touchscreen has constrained usefulness and the way handy it truly is will depend over the purposes you employ.
Display
Connectivity on Dell's XPS 17 L701X is really class-leading,instead of simply because it involves USB 3.0.The one thing that is missing can be an ExpressCard slot, and we honestly are not able to visualize several reasons you'd probably will need one particular here.Together the left there's a memory card reader caricabatterie apple m9689b a which not just takes the usual complement of SD/HC,MS Pro/Duo and MMC,and also the new SDXC regular. On the appropriate you will find a tray-loading DVD-rewriter,twin headphone jacks,a microphone jack, along with a combined USB 2.0/eSATA port. The vast majority of connections reside together the back, which isn't necessarily one of the most practical location. In this article you'll find two USB 3.0 ports in their signature blue livery,Gigabit Ethernet, and a complete electronic movie output collection of HDMI one.4 and mini-DisplayPort.Either one particular will let you hook up high-resolution displays such as the NEC MultiSync LCD3090WQXi,anything that lots of older laptops don't support. We've similarly minor criticism concerning this laptop's usability. All the keyboard's keys are full-size,and also a range pad is involved together with the usual shortcuts.Amid these is actually a devoted button for deactivating the touchpad, nevertheless you shouldn't need this as we located the pad nearly in no way interfered with typing.Format is great, even though it does not match the clever shortcut placement and 2nd functionality vital located around the likes of Samsung's R780.The one disappointment for electrical power buyers is always that the F-series keys are relegated to secondary features by default, but this will be altered within the BIOS.The keys also present a great amount of vacation, and though the motion with a number of feels a tad inexpensive, typing remains to be an exceptionally nice knowledge in general. So far then,we are incredibly impressed with Dell's new variety.Sadly, the L701X's seventeen.3in monitor is exactly where we stumble upon our first actual disappointment.Dell nevertheless really should differentiate its highest-end XPS Studio line, and 1 on the strategies it's accomplished this is certainly by restricting the 'vanilla' XPS 17 to some highest display screen resolution of one,600 x 900.While this will likely be a lot for the vast majority of customers,it could possibly be described as a significant caveat caricabatterie sony vgp ac19v43 for the people hungry for more desktop genuine estate.Simply because of this, sharpness isn't really quite pretty much as good as on Total High definition screens possibly, even though it can be undoubtedly ample for some and also the decreased resolution does make viewing smaller icons and text easier. The screen's glossy coating could be a problem with vivid ambient lights existing, even though in the darkened environment it does enrich perceived distinction and offers colors that more tiny bit of 'pop'.Even so,the TN panel wants all of the aid it could possibly get,as contrast is sort of inadequate.Blacks appear just a little gray, the darkest greyshades are indistinguishable from each individual other and delicate colour gradations within the lighter stop mix into reliable blocks. The speakers create a room-filling volume devoid of distortion,a loaded and specific soundstage, and dialogue arrives across with abnormal difference.Even though undeniably impressive, clarity and bass aren't automatically the best of any notebook "on the planet" as Dell claims, nevertheless the range of transportable devices caricabatterie sony acdp 240e01 that will match it could likely be counted about the fingers of 1 hand.Among these is Toshiba's Satellite P500,which utilizes Harman/kardon speakers.Interestingly,Harman/kardon and JBL equally tumble under a similar mother or father firm,so it's not shocking that they match up very well.
Performance
General effectiveness with the XPS seventeen is superb,as expected thinking about its specs. The dual core Main i5 460M is much more than impressive adequate for that average person, and when you do want a lot more cores,as at any time Dell's equipment are very customisable plus a Core i7 is just a click on absent. Dell's most up-to-date is likewise astonishingly proficient at gaming many thanks to its Nvidia GeForce 435M,while certainly it will not hold a candle to laptops with 'true' gaming playing cards, like the Mobility Radeon 5870 discovered inside the MSI GX740.
