Self Ship Interview
I was tagged by @virus-selfship
Ahhhhhhh thank you this was so much fun, ilsm! Sorry this took a hot minute. I tend to get carried away and write way too much. :)
Tumblr media
Introduce yourselves. Who are you? What do you like to do?
Angel: Hi I’m Angel! I also go by Wolfie!  (◕‿◕✿) I’m a small nerd with a special interest in wildlife conservation. I specialize in birds and reptiles, but I’m most interested in the animal on the island of Little Garden although it’s been a hassle to secure funding for the expedition. It’s a dream of mine to be able to work with the dinosaurs in the wild.
Lucci : I’m Rob Lucci of Cipher Pol.
How was your first meeting like?
Angel: Oh it was love at first sight for me. Hattori is such a sweetheart there was no way I wouldn’t notice such a beautiful pigeon around the base...
I’m kidding! We first officially met in my office. As the only Ornithologist on the island Lucci first approached me to consult about Hattori’s well being. Lucci was kind of a pain in my ass at first but you can tell a lot about a person from how they are with their animals... And I might have developed a small crush.
Lucci : Our first meeting was strictly professional. My pet was having a hard time acclimating to the climate. She had an excellent reputation so I first visited her for a consultation. The issue resolved on its own not long after our first encounter but I kept scheduling appointments with her.
How did you get together? Who confessed first?
Angel: That would be me! I can’t help myself, I love a good debate. We were going back and forth over something stupid and I remember saying that “I can’t decide if I want to strangle you or kiss you.” Right before I died of embarrassment is when I first felt his lips on mine. And that’s when things began to change...
We’d known each other for a while before that and had a... I guess you could call it a friendship? If I feel comfortable enough to debate with someone then it’s a pretty good indicator we were close. I was definitely attracted to him and enjoyed his company but I really didn’t plan on acting on my feelings. He was fairly popular among the other singles here and I didn’t think I’d be his type.
Lucci: Angel, I’d been trying to court you for weeks. I was starting to think you were intentionally ignoring my effort. When you said that I realize the flowers and complements might have been too vague for you.
Angel: ...So I might have also been a little dense when it comes to romance. But, it all worked out in the end!
What are your thoughts on PDA?
Angel: I’m a little shy with that kind of thing... I have no problem showing affection but I would rather not have an audience. I am a professional and do have a reputation to consider.
Lucci : I’d rather we didn’t but won’t object to it.
How do you show your affection towards each other/what are your love languages?
Angel: Acts of service is my main mode of affection! I’m also big on quality time. When I’m in love, I like to spend time with them and help however I can. Being with Lucci is no different. I like to prove my love through action.
Lucci : Quality time.
Angel: It makes my heart happy we share a primary mode!
Who’s more introverted and who’s more extroverted?
Angel: Oh I’m definitely an extrovert! I have a well-developed introversion but given the chance I love being around my people. Dinner parties and game nights are my happy place. I’m a very social creature.
Lucci : I’m an introvert. Angel is one of the few people I don’t find exhausting to be around.
Who’s the big spoon and who’s the little spoon?
Angel: For the most part, I’m the little spoon. There’s a whole 12′’ between us in terms of height so it’s easier to curl around me I guess.
Lucci : She can be a surprisingly aggressive cuddler. If she wants to be the big spoon she will find a way.
Angel: You enjoy it when I take charge~
Lucci : I never said I didn’t.
What do you like doing together the most?
Angel: Ah we’re such a boring couple! Dates are nice but to be honest we’re both away from home so often it’s such a luxury to just indulge in domestic life. Just keeping a home together feels like a dream. I love being able to travel for my work but I wish I could spend more time home with him. My favorite time is when we’re both settling down for the night, casually curled up together on the sofa.  He usually settles down with a paper and I always have my field notes to work on.
Lucci : I enjoy when we can cook together. I love listen to her talk and sing along with the radio as we work. She puts so much energy into even the mundane tasks, it’s hard not to have enjoy yourself around her.
Tell us a fun fact about the other!
Angel: He’s musically trained! He won’t sing infront of other people but I once caught him singing to some fledgling canaries I was raising at the time. The memory is forever burned into my mind and I love it.
Lucci : She has a devil fruit but, for a stupid reason, pretends she doesn’t.
Tag other selfshippers and their f/os.
If ya’ll want, I would love to learn more about my favorite couples out here! I tried not to double tag people who’ve already been tagged but if I have to feel free to ignore me, likewise if I missed you please jump in if you want! I love reading about other peoples ships!

how are my babes gonna deal with romances and finding space away from the group while also handling the codependency
{Should I Stay AU}
oooh nice q!!
Okay so for starters, the kids are definitely incredibly codependant at first- IIG ends with them all sneaking out of their rooms to fall asleep on each other in the living room. Which, I mean… Violet and Quigley have been separated from their siblings for a year, and the other kids haven’t been apart for a year. And at first, everyone’s incredibly clingy with each other, especially the sibling groups. So when someone’s feeling bad and needs space, it can get a bit difficult.
Eventually, they all figure out that sometimes people need to be left alone, and they all eventually fall into a “tell” that lets the others know when they don’t want to talk- Isadora tends to lock herself in the attic if she’s upset, Violet goes and sits on the porch with something to fix, Klaus will find somewhere to sit with a pile of books, Sunny messes with the kitchen, Duncan puts on his headphones and goes over his writing, Fiona goes into the yard to mess with the garden Moxie let her start, Quigley teleports onto the roof so that nobody can reach him if they wanted to, and Carmelita locks herself in her and Fiona’s room and dances- the last one only becomes a problem if she goes until nighttime and Fiona needs to sleep too, Mel!
On the occasions that someone’s clinginess conflicts with someone’s need for space- for example, if Violet’s freaking out that day whenever her siblings aren’t in her sight but Klaus just needs some time to himself- usually the problem’s solved by them just sitting on opposite sides of the same room, so they have enough space but are still able to be near each other.
As for the romance, the kids get used to the fact some of them are dating each other a lot faster than they thought they would; honestly, it’s not the weirdest thing that’s happened to them by a long shot. But they do take some different approaches to it; Klaus and Violet are supportive fo each other but aren’t super comfortable talking about their love lives with each other, meanwhile the Quagmires are dumping romantic advice on each other, and Quigley and Duncan are constantly gushing about their respective partners. Carmelita claims that the whole romance thing is “gross” and tells everyone that if they don’t keep it to themselves, she’s going to dump a carton of milk into their eyes, while Fiona and Sunny’s feelings are a bit more “you can do whatever, so long as we’re not involved.” Isadora swings back-and-forth from “yeah I’ll totally help you plan a date in the garden” to “for the love of God shut up it’s 2am!” depending on her mood.
Speaking of which, it’s a bit hard to plan traditional dates due to the fact the kids won’t be able to leave the house until Summer. So “dates” tend to be denoted by “the two of us just spending time alone while the others are busy with something else,” meaning that they end up being simple small things like hanging out on the porch with hot chocolate or hiding in the attic with a small craft project. Neither couple minds much, though- they just like to spend time with each other and talk. [Though Quigley and Duncan thought it’d be fun to go all-out for Valentine’s and begged Moxie to help them get flowers and cards from town.]
But all in all, the kids are just happy to finally be together and be relatively safe. And eventually it becomes common for them to wake each other up from nightmares and teach themselves how to deal with the specifics of each others’ trauma. [This goes for the adults, too; Moxie, Jake and Cleo secretly have a list of things that upset each kid, ranging from “they get mildly uncomfortable” to “this triggers a panic attack”]

Finished listening of another Big finish stories - short trips Landbound, Gardeners’ Worlds, The Switching, The Mistpuddle Murders and Trap for Fools; and “normal” audios Alien Heart Dalek Soul, Kingdom of Lies and Ghost Walk.
Landbound - is short trip from Three Doctor era, narrated by Nicholas Briggs. It was a bit different, just the Doctor (and a “random” human), though it was during exile on Earth years, but it felt a bit weird to me. I know he was always trying to help people on planet and such but not quite on such personal level I think, that would be the think Jo would talk him into, but on its own.... Well I got why he did it and it’s in the title as well, but still sort of... not quite right to me. But generally it was rather enjoyable story.
Gardeners’ Worlds - another Three Doctor era, this time with Jo Grant and UNIT and all, narrated by Tim Treloar. The story felt as kind of a typical UNIT story and I usually enjoy those but in this case it was like something little was missing there to completely enjoy it. I don’t know why, it has the interesting story idea and interesting solution, but... I don’t know, some bit of spice was missing there. Not that it was boring or that I would dislike it, but didn’t quite enjoy it.
The Switching - Three Doctor era again, narrated by Duncan Wisbey. I liked this one. Fun story about the Master’s other escape plan (that didn’t work out lol) :)
The Mistpuddle Murders - Fifth Doctor era, narrated by Sarah Sutton. This story is the one that I enjoyed probably the most from these four Short Trips. I was looking forward to it because of Sarah’s voice (I mentioned it long ago by Companion Chronicle featuring Sarah Sutton, that she has very very pleasant voice to listen to but one doesn’t quite realize that in normal audio when there are lots of other voices, only in things like this when there’s only her (or one more actor in the case of Companion Chronicles)) and I wasn’t disappointed in the story either. It’s amusing and lovely and I enjoyed listening to it very much.
Trap for Fools - Fifth Doctor era again, narrated by Mark Strickson. Again was looking forward to this one very much because of Mark’s voice (same case as with Sarah Sutton). This time the story wasn’t that enjoyable for me though. It was interesting story idea and so, but I was almost all the time confused who’s who and what’s going on (though I got the general story). It’s probably just me not understanding word by word (though it’s kinda funny because it’s not some lots-of-technical-stuff kind of story, but it’s set in a school, so I should be understanding more than some kind of a spacecraft hi-tech story), or maybe I kept being distracted that at the time when I was listening, I think I’d just try to listen to it. I enjoyed listening to Mark’s voice a lot anyway :)
Alien Heart Dalek Soul - is a story from Main range, though it’s only two-parter unlike usual stories. It’s Fifth Doctor with Nyssa and I liked it very much. It’s another Dalek story but with an interesting unexpected twist in the second part. Really good story (despite the Daleks again :)) )
Kingdom of Lies - Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric. Rather light-hearted amusing story kind of combining medieval setting with hi-tech technologies which was fun, but the most fun was the story itself. I liked it. :)
Ghost Walk - again Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric. It was very interesting story and I enjoyed listening to it, but the end felt a bit weird to me. I don’t know how to say that and maybe it’s my feeling, but it was kind of... non-Doctor Who style... Which is a nonsense to say of course because Doctor Who universe is so wide that basically anything is fitting, but... I don’t know it just felt weird to me. But that’s probably just me. Generally I enjoyed the story.
And that’s it for now, I started listen to Serpent in the Silver Mask yesterday and it seems to be an interesting story too :)

The San Francisco Saga
Hello! I know it’s been forever since I’ve posted, I’ve been having a crazy couple of weeks! So, San Francisco! I decided to go to the city for a long weekend between farms (I’m currently in Blue Lake, about 30 minutes east of Arcata). I’ve been debating whether to write about my entire weekend from start to finish but I think I did and experiences do much that I definitely will just provide the highlights- but fear not!! I had an incredible weekend so there will be lots to read about regardless.
So I stayed at this I N C R E D I B L E hostel/airbnb in the Mission and it made my whole freaking trip. So the Airbnb was styled like a hostel where you shared a room with three other people, but it was the perfect combination of homey and funky! I met the most incredible people and had such a blast staying in their little apartment. I’ve already planned a reunion with two of the girls I met there and can’t WAIT to see them again.
So, how would I describe my crazy weekend? Go with the flow, but the flow is some firm tugging from the universe to just do and experience. I walked miles and miles through the city, ate amazing food, and found cool little spots that made my heart warm. I wanted to see the city and all of its highlights, but I wound up just kind of following friends and my feet.
Sunday I decided to explore the city by myself, which was a really cool thing. I rented a bike for free and *tried* to ride up 16th to Corona Heights but good lord almighty those streets are steep as hell. On my way to golden gate park, I stopped on Haight st. and I’m so glad I did! I know it’s kind of the stereotypical hippie street that people think of when they picture San Fran but it was so cool! After getting a late lunch, I rode my bike into golden gate park.
I truly had the intention of seeing the whole park- it was a beautiful day, there was so much to do in the park (botanical gardens, science museum, you name it!) but first thing I see when I ride into the park is a group of middle aged men sitting on benches, hangin’ out, and playing bongo drums. That’s right, BONGOS!! God it was so cool, so I decided to make a quick pit stop and watch them! Slowly, a crowd started to form, then more and more people started showing up with instruments. There were bongos, guitars, fiddles, trumpets, saxophones, DIDGERIDOOS, you freaking name it man. So I sat, ate my lunch, then got up to chat with some of the folks that seemed like regulars and learned that the “drum circle” has been going on since at least 1975 and some of the guys had been coming even before that. I couldn’t believe it, there were strangers making music together every weekend, drinkin’ beer, hangin’ out, and generally just having an incredible time. So I stayed. I drank wine, I met new people, I pet LOADS of dogs, and I danced.
Oh man, I danced like no one in the world was watching. The music, the drums, the love, the craziness, it all flowed through every inch of me. I couldn’t believe how much fun I was having with all of these strangers. Making merry, making music, and just letting myself exist. It was probably one of the best experiences i’ve ever had, and I’ll probably tell people about that drum circle until I die. I will be going back to San Francisco and I will be a regular at that drum circle if it KILLS me. Wow I still can’t believe how cool it was.
Another cool experience I had was meeting a stranger that would become my travel partner for a day. Saturday evening, I went to a hat party (yes a hat party) with our Airbnb hosts Duncan and Zain. At this party, I met a girl named Cat after admiring her scarf from afar. We chatted about her travels and her adventures and I asked her where she was headed to next and, low and behold, she said Arcata. I freaked and was like “no freaking way, me to” so we talked and decided to travel together! So Sunday evening after the drum circle, we met up and scrambled to the greyhound station to catch our bus to Arcata, but when we got there there was no bus to get on- it’d been canceled. I guess the universe works in funny ways because we DEFINITELY would’ve missed our bus that night, so we transferred our tickets and tried to decide what to do for the night. I texted Zain from the airbnb and he let us crash on the couch for the night because he’s an ANGEL. The next day we spent running errands, doing yoga in Delores park, and scrambling yet again to try to make our bus on time. We got there with 5 minutes to spare and the lady was so done with our BS that she just marked tags and threw our stuff on the bus. But we made it!!! Our bus ride was uneventful and we made it to Arcata on time.
And so ends the San Francisco saga, and what a weekend it was. This city holds a special place in my heart now, and I’m so grateful for all of the friends and memories it gave me!
Stay curious and happy travels!

SNM #14 23 Apr 2018
Spent part of the day doing Her Long Black Hair, the audio journey in Central Park. It is nothing like SNM, but the uncanny feelings generated might resonate with you just the same. Try it out if you've never done it.
Ended up gossiping in the queue at The McKittrick with some theatre people from the UK, about Kabeiroi and TDM and Shanghai and so on. Fun and interesting to hear their takes.
Once inside we all had a toast with Maximilian and Hazel, and talked about Southern names. (It is nice to hear a Person In Bar doing a Southern version of that 1930s mid-Atlantic accent, as Hazel does.)
I started out following my favorite character, Bald Witch (Kacie Boblitt?). Maybe it's more accurate to say the character that intrigues me the most. All the Bald Witches I saw on this trip were great, this night no exception.
I picked up Macbeth (Daniel Staaf) after Lady Macduff's murder until walled garden.
Started the second loop with Sexy, but the crowds were getting really annoying. I know, it's pointless to complain about bad behavior. On my first show of this trip, it seemed like the new "respectful distance" line was having an effect. But in subsequent shows there was plenty of non-respectful distance, in addition to all the other usual stuff. At one point an audience member was literally trying to cradle Sexy during the examination dance in the mortuary. And there was one talker who was blathering away at top volume, practically shouting, in Grace's parlor. Really unsettling.
I ended up spending a long time in Duncan's quarters, perusing the props and such there. Then back up to 5 to watch Virginia Logan's Matron through the window for a while. Just looking for the relatively peaceful parts of the building. Also on 5, for the first time I saw a big group of people arrayed around someone from the floor above, everyone waiting for her to take their hand.
Eventually got stuck going downstairs for the ending. This time from stage right, an angle I'd never tried before.
I think I had the "bad show" that folks speak of once you've seen it this many times. I've seen almost (but not quite all) of the public parts of the show. I was feeling self-conscious and disconnected--and the blame for that mostly falls on me (and my irritation at the Monday night crowds), I think, not the performance. Still, I spent a lot of time appreciating the set. The specific props like the letter from Agnes to Grace, Duncan's bible, and also just the spaces like the Speakeasy or the Manderley itself. I don't think my brain was the only thing that was jinxed--the door to Grace's bedroom was acting up, and I saw what Sexy does to improvise when she can't get in there.
I still had a couple drinks in the Manderley before they started closing down. A quick chat with some performers in the street, and then we turned in opposite directions on 10th Ave, and that was it for this batch of shows.
This show has made me think so much about my own theatre practice, about how immersive/interactive/site-specific/site-sympathetic performance works, about New York City itself. I've made new friends online and IRL because of it. It's led me down paths I otherwise wouldn't have explored, or at least not explored so rigorously. Maybe it's time to start planning trips around the parties.

Pairing: Alistair Theirin x Reader ; Sebastian Vael x Sister!Reader Fandom: Dragon Age Warnings: /
Summary: After the Blight, Teagan and Eamon are desperate to find Alistair a wife, that would provide allies and forces for Fereldan, so they decide to invite some noble women, in hopes of Alistair finding his special someone. He had given up hope. And then you walked through the door.
A/N: well, here it is! and oh my god, this was so so so so much fun to write, you have no idea. I love my baby Alistair with all my heart and I really feel for him, when making him King, without a Warden Queen by his side, so I thought ‘LET’S GIVE HIM A NEW QUEEN!’ (anyways, added Alistair to my fandoms page)
Tumblr media
                                                              *****
“Your majesty.. they've arrived.”
Alistair sighed, his hands forming into a fist and his nails digging into his skin.
None of this was what he had wanted.
But then again, when has it ever been his choice as to what would happen to his life? That had never been his decision and it seemed like, it never would be.
As soon as he calmed down a little, he turned around and followed his sentinels out of his bedroom and into the throne room, where a bunch of young ladies were already waiting for him.
And one of them, if Teagan had his way, would become his wife. rather sooner than later.
Alistair really wasn't interested in marrying, but according to Teagan, an alliance was not only important, but necessary. Ferelden had been massively weakened by the Blight. Whole villages and even cities were destroyed, most of the army – Alistair's army – was dead. They needed new allies, new forces. And what better way to secure those, than with a marriage?
Apart from the fact that Alistair would need an heir. Whether or not he would be able to produce one, fell on deaf ears.
So the young king sat down on his throne and Teagan started introducing the women to him, one by one, accompanied by either their fathers, brothers or sometimes, even mothers.
He put on a kind smile for all of them, but that was just for show. He wasn't interested in any of these women and he already knew that he wouldn't marry for love, but for the benefit of Ferelden.
Once he thought they were through with it and he was already about to get up, Teagan placed a hand on his shoulder and pushed him back down, then he turned his head to his brother Eamon.
“I counted 14. There should be 15. One is missing.”
Eamon nodded.
“(Y/N), princess of Starkhaven. There's been a bit of a.. delay.”
“What sort of delay?”
He was just about to answer, when the door opened and you walked in. Or more like, were shoved inside, your brother Sebastian pushing on your lower back, so you'd keep walking.
“Forgive me, my lords. Your majesty. We've been.. held up.”
You almost wanted to snort at that. Held up. He literally had to drag you here, that's why you were so late.
Sebastian was a good man. A good brother, most of the time. But somehow, he felt like it was his duty to find you a husband, so you'd not end up like Aunt Valeria. Despite the fact that you were only (Y/A) years old.
Teagan smiled and nodded, then he cleared his throat and announced you.
“Princess (Y/N) of Starkhaven, your majesty.”
“Guess you're as pleased as I am to be here?” he laughed, self-pity clear in his voice. All you could do was chuckle, especially when you saw the look on Teagan's face.
In the end, Eamon and Teagan thanked everyone for being here and wished them a lovely evening, but you were already walking towards the buffet, instead of walking towards the reason you were here today. Sebastian following you like a puppy.
“The king is that way, dear sister.”
“And the food is right here. Now think about what's more important to me,” you took some cheese, turned around and shoved it deliciously into your mouth. Sebastian rolled his eyes and was about to remind you why this was important, when the King himself, joined you at the buffet.
“Ah.. cheese. Best thing in the world,” he grinned and grabbed one of the pieces himself.
You looked over his shoulders, finding a mob of angry noble women standing a few feet behind Alistair and eyeing you angrily. When Alistair realized where you were looking, he glanced behind him as well, but quickly turned around again and gulped down the cheese.
“They're scaring me.”
You giggled.
“They should. I know some of these women and they would do anything for marrying the handsome King Alistair,” he detected a hint of disdain in your voice and cocked his head to the side.
“Why do I get the feeling that you aren't as pleased as they are?”
“Probably because you're right. I'm not in favor of this whole arranged marriage thing. Never have been. But I've been going to these ‘parties’ for the past years. Seems like my family wants to get rid of me as soon as possible,” Sebastian was now standing a few feet next to you, but was able to hear everything you said. Good. You glared at him, when you said that.
Alistair nodded knowingly.
Seems like he finally found a kindred spirit.
“I understand..”
You took a good long look at him. He seemed.. uncomfortable, in his own skin. Like he hated being here.
You bit your lip and carefully grabbed some more cheese bites to shove them into the pockets of your dress.
Alistair raised his eyebrows.
“Wh..- What are you doing?”
“Giving you a break,” you grinned and grabbed his hand, to pull him towards the exit of the throne room. Teagan blocked your way, before you could leave. “Alistair wanted to show me the gardens and I could go for a stroll, if that's alright with you, my lord?”
Teagan's features softened and he nodded, maybe a bit too enthusiastic, then he let you two leave.
As soon as you were away from all the nobles, you let go of his hands and smiled up at him.
“So, your majesty, how about we find a secluded spot and..-”
Alistair blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Oh.. I.. uhm.. I don't know.. I mean, I..-”
“..eat some cheese,” you giggled. Especially, when his blushed turned from faint pink, to bright red.
“Yes. Of course. Cheese. Right,” he cleared his throat and led you to a quiet spot with a stone bench, where you two could sit down, eat and talk, without angry women staring at you and planning, on which assassin they should send for you.
What you had planned to be a few minutes of peace for both of you, turned into hours of talking, laughing and eating cheese.
Your laughs fell silent, when he talked about his time as a Grey Warden and your hand softly found his, to give him some kind of solace and you were surprised, when you felt his thumb brush over your own fingers.
And unfortunately, that was precisely the moment that Teagan decided to interrupt.
He coughed slightly and you both pulled your hands back, like you had just touched a burning flame.
“Forgive me for interrupting, your majesty. But dinner is ready.”
Alistair nodded and got up, waiting for you to do the same, before you carried on, back into the castle.
Seating arrangements had already been made beforehand, so to both of your displeasure, you would not be eating together.
Of course, you had to sit next to your brother, with his confident grin, that you wanted to wipe from his face.
Not because it bothered you, but because you hated when he was right.
These hours you had spent with Alistair, made you realize that he wasn't like the others. He was kind and funny and.. and you could imagine marrying him. That was the worst part. You were so against this whole arranged marriage thing and now you couldn't help but hope, that he felt the same way. That he wanted to get to know you some more. That maybe, just maybe, you had finally found the one.
And when the dinner was over and all the ladies said their farewells to the King, he was kind and smiled at all of them. But once you stood in front of him, his smile faltered.
Because, surprisingly, he didn't want you to go.
For the first time, in what felt like years, he hadn't felt lonely.
You curtsied before him.
“It's been an honor, your majesty.”
Alistair gulped and tried his best to find the right words. Or any words. Any words would be good right about now, but all he could do, was stare at you, this sad glint in his eyes.
“May Andraste guide you,” you straightened your back and took another step towards him. You bit your lip, debating on whether or not to say something, but then: “Duncan would be very proud of you,” you whispered.
Then, you turned around and walked back to Sebastian, who was already waiting for you.
For Alistair, seeing you walk away felt like slow-motion for him. So many things were going through his head. All the smiles and laughs you had shared today, all the secrets that he hadn’t told anyone in ages. All the fears, that both of you had..
He knew, that sooner or later, he had to marry somebody and right now, his uncles were still giving him a chance to find someone that he actually liked.
And you?
He liked you very much and you might be his one chance of happiness in his life.
So as soon as the doors closed behind you, he turned around to Teagan and Eamon and asked:
“Say I want to propose to someone.. how would that work, exactly?”

Last week was very short as I managed to squeeze two days off into it. These have largely been spent outside in my garden office sorting and tidying LEGO. It’s very time consuming and satisfying, but does leave me slightly wondering where the time has gone. With a very warm and sunny Friday and Saturday I moved my watching of Agents of SHIELD outside along with dismantling and washing the LEGO Detective’s Office set. It’s a lovely little thing, but it had become very grubby. I’m now trying to rebuild it with a tray overflowing with parts. Inevitably, it’s becoming a quicker process the more of it I’ve built. Feels kinda exponential, as if by the end it will be assembling itself… Marilyn and I have also finally begun a shared build, the LEGO Brick Bank, which has been languishing on my “to be built” shelf for some years now… It’s pretty ace, and is a fine accompaniment to season two of Elementary.
A busy day…
Brick Bank ground floor
In dismantling the Detective’s Office, I re-remembered that I’d built a little half-modular some years ago, but they’ve been joined together for so long I’d somewhat forgotten that it wasn’t part of the set. I snapped a few pics from it before I dismantled it, for posterity, or whatever. The concept was a coffee shop on the ground floor and a bottle shop above. I’d do almost all of it differently now, of course, but I think it did look pretty good. I was very happy to use the Indiana Jones poster tiles to good effect!

We’ve started to enjoy strolling around Beeston late at night. I adore the peace and quiet (I’ve been watching bats in our garden!) and I’m in urgent need of more exercise. I’m looking at you, beer… We’ve met up with a couple of our pussy cats pals too, which has been especially lovely. Given the utter clusterfuck of Bojo’s latest update on the UK’s progress with coronavirus, I suspect I’ll be working from home, getting fat, and taking late night walks for some weeks yet.

Despite the week’s brevity, I seem to have taken part in two podcast recordings and read some books! Victory all round.
Watching: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season 3
Fuck me, I love this show more and more. We’re finally getting into the stuff I remember a little better. It’s getting so hard to summarise… I guess this season is properly focused on the fallout of the Inhuman explosion and on the truly epic and dark history of Hydra! First we have to recover Agent Simmons from the creepy monolith that whisked her away from Fitz’s arms at the end of season two. Turns out its part of an ancient Hydra tradition, who’ve been feeding the terrifying alien entity within on fresh young Hydra enthusiasts for centuries. Their ultimate aim is to unleash the monster on the world! The team do manage to rescue Simmons, but doing so reveals to Hydra that the doorway can indeed be bridged. There are some pretty tense moments, and Daisy/Skye gets to assemble her own team of Secret Warriors, comprised of some of the Inhumans now emerging. The first half of the season focuses on Hydra getting into the alien planet, with former agent Ward becoming the host of the Inhuman ancestor. That’s bad news for everyone… and gives us the second half, in which Ward sets about subsuming other Inhumans and advancing a plan to dominate the whole world. Bad guys with big plans! Mostly though, my heart continues to beat for FitzSimmons, and for Coulson and Agent Mae. Honestly, it’s hard to make any sense of this season if you haven’t seen the previous two, but if you have it really is a gift: long form deepening of relationships, expanding on the major MCU story threads from Civil War, and getting into the backstory of Hydra to a massive extent.

Doing: The Improv Boost “Happiness” podcast
All round lovely fella, David Escobedo, one of our It’s A Trap: The Improvised Star Wars Show cast members, and rabid user of social media for promoting improv in all its forms, invited me to join him and a few friends for a very short podcast talking about things we feel passionate about. The challenge was to narrow it down to a specific thing to expostulate on for eight minutes. LEGO would be too broad, as would Star Wars, so it sent me down a little rabbit hole of figuring out what I do especially enjoy, rather than the general everything of science fiction and stuff. One of my gateways into SF, or at least one that has cast a lengthy shadow, is the work of the great John Wyndham. Picking The Day of the Triffids was an easy next step. That’s why I read both the abridged US edition then the UK/Penguin edition in a week. The latter is about 10% longer, and just has a little more depth. It’s startlingly apt for our current situation, and I’d recommend it for anyone who finds reassurance in someone else’s words managing to neatly sum up existential and ethical crises. Also, triffids are ace, and plainly the ancestor of all zombie fiction.
Alas, whatever software David was using to stream Zoom into Facebook fucked us over and we lost the last five minutes. Which means you get all of Jac’s enthusing about calculus (whatever the hell that is… :-} ) but lose Vanessa’s final thoughts on our topics which neatly wedded our themes together. Essentially (I think) we’re both talking about aspects of community and how people deal with the situations they find themselves in. Enjoy!

Reading: The Chrysalids by John Wyndham
Having cheerfully chugged down a double dose of The Day of the Triffids I moved straight on to what’s generally regarded as his “best” novel. It’s not my most favourite, but it’s quite a read. Far future post-apocalypse, humanity is struggling to rebuild itself after what appears to be nuclear catastrophe with radioactive fallout causing widespread genetic mutation. As a result, a renewed fervour for purity and the importance of the human (and all other creatures and crops) matching the design laid down by God / government. The consequences of deviation from the norm are severe: death, destruction, banishment to the badlands. None of it’s very appealing.
Our viewpoint is David, a perfectly normal boy: somewhat lazy, chafing a little under the religious intensity of his father and the demands of being in a small farming community in the newly reclaimed lands of Labrador. Only… he’s telepathic, and that makes him a very serious deviation indeed. In the novel we find a lot more of the social awareness and interest in community and individualism that Wyndham show’s in all of his work, and it’s very thought-provoking while being beguiling easy reading. It’s quite a neat trick to cover abominations and socially-mandated murder with such a breezy and familiar writing style. Ultimately, of course, David and his friends have to go on the run from their peers and family. When his younger sister, Petra, who turns out to be an incredibly powerful telepath makes contact with someone in “Zealand”, the whole of David’s world (and ours, since he’s our only view of it) is turned upside down. Moments of bleakness and fear fight with equally delightful epiphanies and hope for true acceptance. It’s great! Read it!
Doing: We Are What We Overcome podcast Special Episode #3 Self Care
Our fortnightly Facebook Live podcast recordings continue to catch me unawares! Mondays are not a good evening for me to have my brain in gear, but I’m trying. Last week we talked about self-care some more. It’s really important to look after yourself at the moment. Divorced of much meaningful in-person human contact, I think we’re all fraying away at the edges. We talked about some of the things that frustrate the act of self-care, and some of the tools we use to keep ourselves as sorted as we can be.
Doing: MissImp’s Virtual Improv Drop-In: Duncan Carty – Artist’s Eye for the Improv Guy
This week we got a really special and different take on improvisation and creativity from our Duncan Carty, combining artistic expression, y’know, like drawing, with how we take inspiration for our scenes and performances. It’s a very good workshop, and I implore you to get out your crayons and walls and go at it. Phew, that’s the eighth improv workshop Emily has wrangled onto our website, and it looks we’re gonna be providing them for the foreseeable future. Enjoy!

Last Week: Sunday 10 May 2020: lots more LEGO, John Wyndham, two podcasts and general bumbling around… podcast fun with We Are What We Overcome and @improvboost talking about Day of the Triffids! #tv #podcast #improv #books https://wp.me/pbprdx-8Ed Last week was very short as I managed to squeeze two days off into it. These have largely been spent outside in my garden office sorting and tidying LEGO.

off the rack #1275
Monday, August 19, 2019
It was so hot and humid outside just now when I went to get the newspaper (yes, we still have it delivered) that it felt like I was walking into a sauna. I hope it rains to cut the humidity down. We certainly need the water as our gardens are wilting. It's been so dry that there's a burn ban in effect. I couldn't make a fire in the fire pit up at the cottage, much to my disappointment. The pleasure of sitting around a fire must be a primitive thing hard wired since we first were able to make fire.
Detective Comics #1009 – Peter J. Tomasi (writer) Christian Duce (art) Luis Guerrero (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). A new story starts here and it's a doozy. Deadshot is the bad guy and he might have been contracted to kill Bruce Wayne. The next issue can't hit the racks fast enough for me.
Event Leviathan #2 – Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Alex Maleev (art) Josh Reed (letters). I'm late to this because I had to wait on reorders. I think the identity of who Leviathan is gets revealed this issue. I'm glad it didn't take the team of the world's greatest detectives too long to figure it out.
Event Leviathan #3 – Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Alex Maleev (art) Josh Reed (letters). Psyche! Leviathan isn't who the detectives suspected it was last issue. It's still a mystery and the real deal does show up this issue. You may recall that Amanda Waller has been MIA, well not anymore. She's a big part of this thing. This story has fans talking and that's always fun.
The Amazing Spider-Man #27 – Nick Spencer (writer) Kev Walker (pencils) John Dell (inks) Laura Martin (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). The new Syndicate has been hired to capture Boomerang and Spidey is forced to help his roommate Fred/Boomerang. Things don't turn out so well for the good guys. The last page has a shocking surprise that harkens back to the good old days of Stan Lee.
Powers of X #2 – Jonathan Hickman (writer) R.B. Silva (art) R.B. Silva & Adriano Di Benedetto (inks) Marte Gracia (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). The X in the title also represents the Roman numeral for ten. The scope of this issue is huge. We go from year zero of the X-Men to year 1000 as the mutants try to find a way to survive. There's not a lot of action but a heck of a lot of planning and strategising. I think our patience will be rewarded when Jonathan Hickman starts cooking with gas.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #10 – Tom Taylor (writer) Ken Lashley (art pages 1 – 14, thumbnails pages 15 – 17) Scott Hanna (inks pages 15 – 17) Luca Maresca (art pages 18 – 20) Nolan Woodard (colours) VC's Travis Lanham (letters). The team-up with Hobie Brown, the good guy Prowler, ends with a cameo from Iron Man. I like bad guy makes good stories.
Catwoman #14 – Ram V (writer) Mirka Andolfo (art) Arif Prianto (colours) Saida Temofonte (letters). Hermosa Heat part 1. It's a new story with a new writer. There's a bounty on Catwoman and she going to find out who put it out there. I'm not a fan of the new cut-outs on her cat suit. I think it's just to show more titillating skin for the fanboys and that's creepy. The panels with the side boobs is what makes me think that.
Ironheart #9 – Eve L. Ewing (writer) Luciano Vecchio (art) Geoffo (layouts) Matt Milla (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). Riri goes to Wakanda in search of the mystical Wellspring of Power. She and Shuri meet for the first time and the young women's personalities clash like oil and water. Fortunately, a crisis bonds them later. A new character joins the story on the last page and she's related to someone that Ironheart fought against back in Chicago. I want to learn more about Silhouette.
Silver Surfer Black #3 – Donny Cates (writer) Tradd Moore (art) Dave Stewart (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). The planet Ego helps Norrin Radd to recover from his battle with Knull and it's a good thing because then the Silver Surfer can return the favour and cure Ego of a type of cancer. The surprise is what's causing the cancer. This weird story just got a lot weirder.
Loki #2 – Daniel Kibblesmith (writer) Oscar Bazaldua (art) David Curiel (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). Loki visits Tony Stark to ask to join the Avengers. 'Tis to laugh, as they say. This issue ends in a most unlikely place and I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #9 – Saladin Ahmed (writer) Javier Garron (art) David Curiel (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Is it time for Miles to be rescued from his kidnappers? Yes it is. His dad Jeff and his uncle Aaron team up to save Miles. Aaron getting a new Prowler suit might mean trouble in the future. I wonder how long Miles's mysterious kidnappers are going to stay a mystery?
Batman Universe #2 – Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Nick Derington (art) Dave Stewart (colours) Josh Reed (letters). I think Brian Bendis is using this book to play with all the heroes and villains in the DCU. Batman teams up with Green Arrow briefly and goes to Gorilla City. By the end of the issue he's on another planet and I don't know if the Thanagarians are going to welcome him nicely or not. Oh, and we find out who the big bad is. I groaned.
Punisher Kill Krew #1 – Gerry Duggan (writer) Juan Ferreyra (art) VC's Cory Petit (letters). This is what I love about comic books. You can tell whatever far fetched story you want and have it beautifully illustrated. This is a spin off from War of the Realms where Frank Castle continues his war hunting down a frost giant named Kasyckla. But how is he supposed to get to Jotunheim? Wouldja believe via chariot pulled by one of Thor's goats? I wonder who is going to be in his Krew?
Once & Future #1 – Kieron Gillen (writer) Dan Mora (art) Tamra Bonvillain (colours) Ed Dukeshire (letters). I don't know why people are speculating on this book but it seems to be the hot buy of the week. This new 6-issue mini is a twist on the Arthurian legend with it not being clear whether Arthur is a good guy or a bad guy. There's a group of people wanting to resurrect the dead king to make Britain great again. This faction will kill to get their way. Duncan gets roped by his grandmother Bridgette into stopping this group of bad guys. I like the feisty Bridgette so I will keep reading this to see what else she and Duncan get up to. It's jolly good fun.
Gwenpool Strikes Back #1 – Leah Williams (writer) David Baldeon (art) Jesus Aburtov (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). I never got into this fourth wall breaking comic book character before but I read a story that she was in recently and liked how fun she was. This issue is a great introduction to this whacky character and you needn't have read any of her previous appearances to get what's going on. You will get an extra kick out of Gwenpool if you're a dyed in the wool Marvel Maniac like me though. The rest of this 5-issue mini is going on to my “must read” list.
Age of Conan Valeria #1 – Meredith Finch (writer) Aneke (art) Andy Troy (colours) VC's Travis Lanham (letters). I was not impressed with Age of Conan Bêlit because I liked the book version of Bêlit more than the comic book version. Valeria is another matter however. She fought alongside Conan in “Red Nails” my all time favourite Conan comic book story. The way Barry Smith drew her made me fall in love with her. This origin story has Valeria hunting down her brother's killer and even though she looks like Betty Cooper with a sword, I like this enough to find out if she succeeds in her quest.
Silver Surfer The Prodigal Son #1 – Peter David (writer) Francesco Manna (art) Espen Grundetjern (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Now that the Fantastic Four have gotten him off Earth, Prah'd'ghul's adventures take him into space. Where there's space, there glides the Silver Surfer. This story flashes back to when the Silver Surfer was the herald of Galactus. In this issue he's just an Uber for Prah'd'ghul.
Fantastic Four #13 – Dan Slott (writer) Sean Izaakse (art) Marcio Menyz (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). The conclusion of the Thing versus the Hulk fight. I won't tell you who the winner is but I will tell you that the biggest loser is the Puppet Master. You won't like him when he's angry, and the Puppet Master made the Hulk extremely angry.
Conan the Barbarian Exodus #1 – Esad Ribic (writer & art) VC's Travis Lanham (letters). This was an easy job for VC's Travis Lanham. There are no captions or dialogue other than a few Hyborian Age word balloons. This is the story of a young Conan wandering the land and surviving against man and beast. It won't take long to “read” but I spent a lot of time just taking in the beautiful artistry. Any time Esad Ribic draws a comic book it's worth picking up.
Doctor Strange #17 – Mark Waid (writer) Barry Kitson (pencils) Scott Koblish (inks) Brian Reber (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Herald Supreme part 6 is the conclusion to Stephen Strange's adventure with Galactus. This is a classic “deal with the devil” story when Mephisto enters the picture. Oh my god what a corny ending. Mark Waid also writes History of the Marvel Universe and he includes the whole thing right here. I did not finish the first issue of that chronicle and I am taking this opportunity to stop reading this title as well just because it got too maudlin.
Symbiote Spider-Man #5 – Peter David (writer) Greg Land (pencils) Jay Leisten (inks) Frank D'Armata (colours) VC's Joe Sabino (letters). Here's another weak ending. There was never a doubt that Spider-Man and the Black Cat would win against Mysterio but boy was it ever done in a mundane way. I will think twice about reading this title the next time this book hits the racks.

Fall Break in SF, pt 1
Well, this trip was nothing short of an absolute shit show.
It all started the morning of Monday, when Tori and I headed to the Salt Lake International Airport at around 6am. We arrived two hours early to ensure things would go on without a hitch. We found our gate, sat down, and chatted for two hours while we waited. Our flight was to depart at 8:25am, and as it became closer and closer to then, I begin to wonder why we hadn’t boarded yet. Last time I flew was like five years ago with my parents. They figured everything out, and I just tagged along.
In hindsight, I hate thinking about this because we were literally being so, so stupid and so, so oblivious. We were at the wrong gate, and by the time we realized this and sprinted a few gates down for our actual gate, the doors had closed. The flight attendant told us, “that flight has departed.” When she said those words, my heart sank to my butt. It was the most devastating feeling, especially because this was our school sponsored trip! Our boss was going to be LIVID.
The next two hours consisted of us frantically calling customer service, admissions, our boss, the lady in charge of booking flights in our office, our friends, etc. We were total messes, and thinking about it literally gives me shivers because it was so stupid on our part. Pure negligence.
We somehow ended up booking a flight for $75 per person to Oakland rather than SFO, which was fine. But it was in six hours. We spent the remainder of our time at the bar, where Tori proceeded to drink a very, very tall beer and I attempted to do some homework and get my mind off of the fact that we had just ROYALLY fucked up.
Anyway, we made it. Eventually. And Tori was being really nice to me, so that was nice. It’s kind of sad that when she’s a decent human being I get really happy. Anyway, when we were riding the BART to the Mission in SF, where our Airbnb was, we played this game where we would make up stories about people we saw on the train. And sometime during this I thought about how I am still kind of in love with Tori, and I thought for a minute about how I would maybe put up with her being a total psycho bitch if it meant I could date her for a little bit. But then I pushed it out of my head! Because that’s never going to happen!
So, we get to our Airbnb. The Mission District of SF is really cool, it’s very cultural. They call it the cultural district, I guess. Every street has a different country theme, I think. There are flags on each street with a different latin american country. There was a large population of latino people! It was a cool place.
We get to our airbnb, and it’s a super cool place. The hosts are very cool, their names are Zain and Duncan. In the living room, there is a huge painted map of the Mission, with pictures and pins of their favorite spots for food, bars, and different activities. The adjacent wall was covered entirely with polaroids of all previous residents.
The airbnb is hostel-style, meaning there are a few different rooms with bunk beds. Tori and I pick an open room, and two open beds that are next to each other. We ate dinner at a dinky, greasy little Mexican joint that reminded me of Albertos or Betos here in Utah, and came back. By that time, it was late in the evening. We had plans of what we were going to do that day, but since we had to take such a later flight, that sucked up most of our time.
We ended up chatting with our hosts and a few other residents, and the night eventually led into us going to a bar. Not sure if I mentioned this, but I have a fake ID now. I only used it to go to one gay bar one time in SLC, and to buy beer a few other times. But, they told me I could sneak in to the restaurant next door, because they shared a back hallway. So, I did! It was interesting to be in a bar. I ordered a drink after way more deliberation than I probably needed, and I had to watch everyone else first because I wasn’t sure if there was some sort of etiquette that I needed to know to order.
The bar’s menu was in the form of a children’s book. Each drink had a funky name and a poem to accompany it, as well as a funky cartoon illustration. It was very interesting. They all made jokes all night about how young I was, which was pretty funny.
We went home. That night, Omar and Dustyn flew in, but since their flight was so late they just went straight to their airbnb which was a few blocks away.
The next day, we met up with the boys. It was great to see them! But this quickly disintegrated when Dustyn fell into a TERRIBLE fucking mood and exacted all his anger out on me, Tori, and Omar.
We went to the modern art museum, which was seriously so cool! Then we stopped by China Town, and the Golden Gate bridge, golden gate park, and botanical gardens. We drank wine in the park and that was fun, and it also lifted Dustyn’s mood.
But, for the most part, I felt like we were doing all these things sort of aimlessly. As in, it was kind of like we’d get done with one activity and say, “hmm, what do we do now?” I wanted to plan more, but Tori insisted we just leave it more up to chance and do whatever we were feeling the day of.
Besides Dustyn and Tori butting heads especially, it was fine! At one point, we split up for dinner because i was going to meet up with my Uncle Steve and my cousins Jason and Sean. Before that, though, Tori and I lied on my bed, exhausted from the day. Why do I remember these parts of the trip the most? Definitely because I’M IN LOVE. Just kidding, I’m not, but nothing else is better evidence that I am emotionally attached to Tori. Because I keep thinking about how she played with my hands on that bed. I have really weird hands, and they’re rough and leathery and I’m a bit insecure about them. Tori knows this, so she makes a point to touch them--like, a lot. So we talked in this bed while she held my hands and touched literally every part of them.
Then I left for dinner! We went to a place called FOREIGN CINEMA. It was close by, so I walked. It was super nice and they played a movie up on the wall with a projector. It was very dim lighting. I feel like all nice restaurants have minimum lighting. I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, which was $24. It was risotto, which I still don’t even know is comprised of.
During this dinner, Uncle Steve told me about my dad’s ex wife! Her name is Melissa, and she tried to stab him. They were married in the temple and everything, my dad even had garments. He had to admit her to a psych unit in the emergency department, and then he filed for divorce. Insane.
When I got back to the airbnb, I found that Tori and Omar and Dustyn hadn’t gone to dinner together. Tori was pretty annoyed with the two boys, and had treated herself to dinner alone. The boys ate McDonalds hahaha.
We invited the boys over to our airbnb. Meanwhile, I played around on Duncan’s guitar. Tori tried very hard during this time to woo Duncan. He’s a pretty cute guy--man bun, beautiful voice, puts on a good facade of being smart and cultured, reads books, etc. He wasn’t having it though, and Tori’s attempts were pretty fruitless.
We decided to go watch the movie It at this cool theatre that serves you food. IT is the clown movie.
The next day, we did a lot of walking around and thrift shopping. The day didn't consist of that much, and then they had to leave for the airport for their flight home.
This is getting really long so I’m gonna make a part two.

Summer Wedding at The Moat House Acton Trussell
After first meeting Vicki + Ben almost exactly one year ago, I knew their wedding was going to be supremely relaxed and a real pleasure to be part of! And it certainly didn't disappoint! Vicki + Ben came to talk to me at The Moat House Bridal Fayre last summer, and with additional endorsement from Vicki's mom Kay (who knew of my work with Stuart James Imaging!), we soon put together plans to capture their day.  Blessed with fabulous weather on the day we could not have asked for a better setting, with the guests able to enjoy the stunning Moat House grounds throughout the day. My coverage started in the morning capturing the preparations of Vicki and the girls in the hands of Natalie from Wow Makeup! and Cara from Sally Thomas Hair with a certain flower girl trying to steal the show at every opportunity! The whole atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and really good fun from the start... Here's a look at the start of the day. The choice of the gown from Adele Louise for Vicki and the yellow bridesmaids dresses from RZ Dressworld were perfect for this summer wedding! Leaving the girls for a few minutes I took the opportunity to see how the boys were getting on... Love the 'tongue of concentration' here from Ben's dad Karl as he helped him put on grandad's ring around his chain... Vicki + Ben certainly chose well with the details for the day, from the dresses as already discussed and the fabulous suits from Duncan James and the venue styling and flowers from Sorella Events the whole day came together beautifully! Cheeky... Really could not have asked for more perfect weather, with the sun bursting through the clouds as the afternoon progressed... Bridal preparations, fueled by Cadburys ;-) Leaving Natalie and Cara to bring the finishing touches together for Vicki, I went to see how Ben's nerves were holding up...he was only slightly nervous... A lovely moment as Lexi and Marie held the slightly nervous hand of Vicki... And so to our waiting groom... The expression here on Ben's face says so much... And after the exchange of glances as Vicki made her way down the aisle on the hand of her mom Kay, so much in both the prior photo and this one: Amelia, Vicki's niece, gave a beautiful reading during the ceremony, only adding to the building emotions for everyone... Signed, sealed and delivered...and covered in confetti! After a few words of wisdom from Ben's nan Maureen, it was time to head around the beautiful gardens of The Moat House with the couple...  The flowers from Sorella were truly stunning! The afternoon raced by and it was soon time for the wedding breakfast, with the room again dressed beautifully by Sorella. After the speeches and before the evening guests arrived, time allowed for Ben + Vicki to take a trip to Walsall Manor Hospital to visit Ben's grandad. A really touching story to capture... Returning to the Moat House, it was time to get the evening reception underway! With my coverage finishing just after 9pm, and being only a few days after the Summer Soltice, it was only right for a few golden portraits to conclude the day... Thank you for inviting me to share and capture your day Vicki + Ben, it truly was a pleasure from start to end!
