and to add injury to insult, that big shiny noisy vending machine that takes up half the break room and has no price labels anywhere on it but forces you to scan the items to find out their price and has cameras all over it to make sure they can fire people if they reach in and steal because there's no glass; also doesn't take cash.

Modern life just has...too much stuff to keep track of. Too many deadlines and logins and accounts and emails and messages on multiple different platforms and constant bombardment of information and I can tell my brain is really struggling to manage it all.

I bought a chonky little MP3 player and put all the digital music I currently have on there, which is still well under the 32 GB it can store on the device itself without expandable storage and am listening to it on shuffle now. I have a bunch of CDs I want to rip and put on there and I also need to edit the metadata on the files that are already on there, because almost everything is Unknown Artist and Unknown Album right now, but like. This is nice.

Every new job training, I turn into the MOM of the group. Trying to convince the girls that drinking enery drinks every day is bad.
"please go to opthometrist you've got a pretty bad eyesight and it's only going to get worse"
I feel like 19-20 year old folks are like my kids, yes I've been there and done some shitty things so please LISTEN AND SPARE YOURSELF.
PS. That guy actually showed up with a brand new prescription glasses next day so I was right.
I miss my kids from last job. I hope they're doing well, they're smart.

How to transfer your 2FA accounts on your authenticator app from your old phone to your shiny new phone:
Open the Authenticator app on your old phone.
Open the settings.
Select "transfer to another device" to generate a QR code which you can scan on your new phone and instantly transfer everything over.
Oh, that option isn't there.
Apparently this is an outdated version of the app.
Head to the Play store to update.
Update is not compatible with this device.
Ah, this phone is too old. Cool. Cool, cool, cool, cool.
Back to the settings menu.
Find the toggle that says "back up accounts to the cloud" and hit it.
This will open the Play store to download the LastPass app, and when you make an account on it, you can transfer your info there.
App is not compatible with this device.
Cry.
Disable 2FA on each of the dozen or so accounts you have across various services, re-enable it, and go through the tedious process of confirming each account via text messages and emails.
Actually, screw step 14. Just leave it on the old phone for now and deal with it later.
It's as simple as that! 👍
