Happy 30th birthday to the woman who has inspired me for over 10 years. Even though you aren’t here you inspire all of Team Grimmie everyday to be the best person they can be. Love and miss you everyday Christina I hope that we are making you proud with everything we do.💚💚💚💚

Okay, but am I the only one that's never actually listened to the original version of Just a Dream by Nelly? I've only ever been familiar with Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie's cover. (As well as Caleb Hyles & annapantsu's cover, but that was tribute to the previous).
I have no reason as to why I've never actually heard the original song, it's at my disposal to listen to. It's my child brain that chooses to believe that A COVER is the real version.
9 years ago today I got to meet Christina. Thinking about the past makes me sad for various reasons, however it is still part of me. When someone touches your life during a time you don’t fully know yourself, when you spend those years trying to be someone else, it is expected that there will be a trace that never disappears.
And I have grown into a better version of myself who turns this trace into something good. Ever since, this found gratitude makes every single thing more meaningful and shines hope on all of it.
Looking back to my first concert, the chance of getting to tell her how I felt, to hold her in my arms, is a memory I will cherish forever. She got to know how loved she was, and is, by so many people.
Love is strange indeed and it doesn’t need to be fully understood to feel and be real. In all the nuanced ways, for the time before and after [her] are two separate worlds now, nothing has changed me quite like this one.
It has been 7 years since your passing and I still can’t believe it’s been that long it feels just like yesterday that I first found out about you and I still have the at most love for you and that will never change no matter how long it is and we will celebrate who you are every day and every year
Today, we are remembering Christina Grimmie on what would've been her 29th birthday.
Christina was among one of the victims of gun violence mentioned in our Playbill, and one of our 2022 performances was dedicated to her. Christina's life and legacy represent who we are and what we do, and we are thinking of her today and every day💚.
Before every show, we dedicate different victims or organizations of gun violence over our intercom, and throughout our 2022 run, we included Robb Elementary, Columbine, Reema Samaha, Christina, Diana and Jojo Hawatmeh, PhillyTruce Organization , the Weis Market victims, and Buffalo. This is a tradition we plan on continuing throughout every production run. Is there anyone you'd like us to mention in our 2024 run? Feel free to let us know❤️.
