quick damibeck thing bc i am thinking abt them and i Want To Share
theyve known each other since they were kids and were each other’s closest friends at that time and therefore ended up engaging in a lot of the same activities, and therefore both ended up learning to play music (the island they grew up on had a piano in… idk the tavern maybe or the library dont worry abt it). linebeck learned to play piano and damien, after trying out a few instruments when he had the chance (there was an island kinda nearby with a bit of a musical culture) started playing clarinet. they practiced together a lot and while damien decided to commit to really honing his skill on clarinet linebeck branched out a bit and looked into composing. since they almost always practiced together and effectively knew each other’s skill levels and preferences they worked on a piano and clarinet duet and finished writing it a bit before linebeck left, and they promised each other to practice it for when they met back up
anyways they each have half of a duet with each other and practice it frequently in the time they spent away from each other and both refused to just give up on it and kept at it even though they didnt really have a guarantee that they’d ever have a chance to play it together

Text conversation between me and Mum about amazing effect of classical music on my walking:
Ezra = 💚, Mum = 💜
💚: i feel like my body knows how to walk again
💜: That is so good!
💚: in the same way as i did growing up all my life. so still not perfect, still weird and odd. but "normal" for me. it is so strange. but good.
💜: Indeed. Do you know what in particular helped?
💚: clarinet music 🤷🏻‍♂️. maybe i think less headphones and more sensory input (even though it is a lot and means more stimming necessary)
💜: Would be good to see if other things are helped by it too.
💚: connects me with reality more. more grounded more tethered. better balance is the thing i notice especially (which is because improved proprioception)
💜: That's so good.
💚: i think clarinet helped me so much with so many things. my motor skills and coordination especially. also emotions. and even time and spatial awareness. music is so important.
When this happened yesterday, I worried that the effect might fade after a day, or half a day. But still today my body just feels like it "knows" again. Like I am back in my familiar movement patterns. It is so nice. I feel so much more in control (still not to the level of most people, of course, but the highest I can personally ever get with this!).
I cannot underestimate the importance of sensory regulation. It affects absolutely everything. Especially when it comes to movement and control of my body.
It is so lovely to feel this familiarity with my body in this way once again.

Since everyone else has been showing me their Cookie headcanons, I feel like I should show ya’ll some of mine!
1. He’s genderfluid. That guy is not cis in the slightest to me. (he also uses any/all pronouns)
2. He has ADHD and is Autistic!! His attention span is awful and has a shitty memory, just like me 👍 /pos
3. Despite his snarky and rude personality, she LOVES chill and humble games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Tomodachi Life
4. Cookie has tons of vocal stims! Most of them being his vocal warmups you hear in 2015!!
5. For my Cookie design, the black and white “suit” she wears as a causal outfit is actually a dress!!
6. Cookie is also a sucker for lost media. He can spend several hours analyzing it and looking all over the internet to find it!
7. They’re terrible at math. Do not ask them for help on your math homework, you will fail.
8. She frequently goes mini golfing. She’s not great at it, but she has a lot of fun!
9. He can play the clarinet! He never practices though, so when he does decide to play, he sounds really bad.
10. Pretty sure this is canon, but he has such an immature sense of humor. Mention the word ‘balls’ and he’s laughing his ass off.

Hey Amy, do you like music? And if so, what kind?
Hello!
Like music love music! Very stimulating like stimming to it.
Can’t even lie like “depressing” music and do like… mental or rock? Like bands dance Gavin dance. Sleeptoken. Can do just about any genre but extremely picky
Favorite sing not by them though. Favorite song isho by sadboyproflic but would put tw on the song, on his songs in general. Talk about general things people with depression experience (don’t want list because then have tag and brain hurt)
And like granite by sleeptoken. Don’t think that really need trigger warning though.
Hate super slow songs, like ones slow dance to. And with rap only like when can tell what saying, which isn’t often. Because sounds like mubbling to me, so when boyfriend want play his music, make him put on lyrics. Also picky with country.
And want play instrument. Have gatuair. And think sister still have old clarinet, but can’t seem be able remember how work. But so pretty

#17! 😊
an anxious compulsion you do everyday?
i HABITUALLY chew on my lips and the insides of my cheeks.
it's my anxious stim developed from years of braces. i used to just grimace/smile in anxious situations (always - my brain is a nightmare sometimes) and played clarinet through them. my braces would tear up the insides of my cheeks in both situations. after the orthodontic torture devices came off, the scarring on the insides of my cheeks annoyed me and i'm still chewing the scar tissue down to be flush with the insides of my cheeks a decade later. gross!

Apparently, according to this post, I am both sensory-seeking and sensory-avoidant.
The sound of people yelling makes my skin crawl to the point it needs pressure such as from a hug (bc of this sensation I have to avoid self-injurious stims such as biting or scratching ar myself. Not bc I am trying to hurt myself, but bc. I am trying to relieve myself from the pain the noise is causing/has caused).
The sound of balloons or anything popping loudly will make me leave an area. I have to wear earplugs or earphones when I shoot a gun, and probably will have to have an emergency pair for home defense.
An accidental fall of a kitchen pot, someone trying to get my attention from behind me, or people clapping, slapping, and hitting things in my face always makes me flinch. This didn’t bother me, but when I was in band, every time someone hit the snare drum, my face and sometimes my entire body would flinch involuntarily.
I can hear the screechy frequencies of an electric fence, LED strip lights, my CBD vape when it charges, and all the kitchen applicances humming together sound like a nice choir of tibetan singing bowls and solfeggio frequnecies. But sometimes it is annoying for me.
Loud music with complicated melodies that I like helps to drown out disturbing stimuli and my racing thoughts. Lately, I’ve been repetively listening and singing to songs by Deftones and that’s about it. The guitar melodies and some vocal melodies get stuck in my head bc they are just so n i c e. I also played the clarinet since I was about 11, which usually gets the complicated melodies in most pieces; when I learned how to play hard parts, I did them over n’ over to make sure I got all my badass points (I loterally felt so freakin’ cool). I managed to make All-State band in 2020 my junior year of HS before the world fell apart, lol.
I always need a fan on when I sleep and I usually have the Tv or YouTube on in the background throughout the day. It gets “too quiet” and my mind gets too loud. I have to go outside a lot to drain out my family’s negative energy; I have a creek and plenty of birds to listen to. I have a stim pop toy that is shaped like a frog but I usually use my fidget cube.
I do like keyboard sounds; I have a completely different way to type than the way that they are teaching in U.S. schools and I can reach speeds up to 80-100wpm. Like how I memorized all my notes and buttons on the clarinet, I had the ability to develop muscle memory of each location of each key on the keyboard. It looks as if my typing is hunt-and-peck on steroids except that I use the middle 3 fingers on each hand and I do not have to look at the keyboard to make sure I’m right. I already know where each character is. There has actually been some cases where I could not mentally remember a password on my computer but could remember the pattern my fingers went to type the password, and “rediscovered” my password that way.
I sing like a star and talk out loud to myself (or an entity that may be there) all the time.

fuck, *inhale* YEAH YOU ARE!!
Beastar headcannons ba-BEE!!!
Legoshi
The reason why his nails are so gross is because they grow out so fast that if he tries to make them look nice, they just grow out and get nasty within a few days so there's no point
He's pulled the "Hey leave my sibling alone!" card for more people than just Juno, he does it all the time when he sees young wolves getting bullied
He actually used to get bullied all the time, and someone used that Sibling Lie to help him, hence where he learned it
He sheds enough that you could make a fur rug after living with him for a week
His tail wags as a stim when he is focusing
Haru
She actually has a really cool wardrobe, she just doesn't wear it often because of the school uniforms
She can play clarinet
People like to make carrot jokes at her, but she actually doesn't care for carrots all that much
She uses chewlery because it helps keep her teeth in check
Juno
Her favorite Color is red
She has a LOT of jewelry, like a fucking LOTTTTTTT
Most of her jewelry is bangles and ear cuffs
Her favorite anime is "Love is War"
She went through a Twenty-One-Pilots phase
Lmao these are kind of random as I was making them up off the top of my head, but I think they all fit

I've noticed that I'm literally the only person in my ~150-person band who rocks while playing when we have to stand. I'm honestly really fidgety playing my clarinet if I'm not sitting, like I'm walking around or I'm swaying or I'm otherwise just vibing through movement and I can't stop it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a stim, but the fact that I'm the only one who's doing is sorta awkward sometimes.

Hi!
Hello, my name is Ezra. I’m autistic (and have other disabilities) and wanted to make this blog to find other people with similar experiences because I often feel very alone and lonely. I know logically that there must be others though, so I hope I can make some friends on here. I have wanted to make a post for a long time so I am very glad I am finally doing it :).
Some things about me:
I was diagnosed with autism at 15, although it should have been much earlier. I masked as a kid but now I have lost the ability to do that anymore. I am now realising that even without a diagnosis I was still quite visibly different and “weird” and have always been treated differently because of it. I wasn’t able to fully pick up on this as a child. But I have always known I was different, just didn’t know why or how.
I used to be semi-speaking with very unreliable speech (and episodes of complete mutism). I heavily scripted and used echolalia to the point where my struggles went completely unnoticed. But between the ages of 13-17 I have slowly lost pretty much all of my speech ability. I don’t know if I can call myself non-speaking because I used to have speech, but when I was 16 I got an iPad with Proloquo2go, and that is how I communicate now 100% of the time (along with typing, although I have always been a slow typer- I have trouble hitting the right keys in the right order and pressing with the right amount of force. My most used key is backspace! 😂).
I also have ME/CFS and we (my parents and I) think I most likely have hEDS also, although we’re still working towards a diagnosis for that.
Things I like/dislike:
I love swinging, it is my favourite stim and passtime. I also love music and I have a sensory swing in my bedroom so I will swing and listen to loud music in my headphones. I have lots of playlists but the one I listen to the most is my stimming playlist that I made myself. It has a lot of songs on it and it says on spotify that it is 28 hours and 16 minutes long! Wow! I am listening to it while writing this.
I used to play clarinet however my health doesn’t allow me anymore unfortunately. But I still love classical music, I listen to it sometime but not a lot because it makes me sad because I miss playing clarinet :(.
Purple used to be my favourite colour but now I think it is green instead. I put neon green duct tape on my crutches and they look very cool! Maybe I will post a picture.
I love soft baggy clothes that makes me feel safe.
I hate olives, custard, mushrooms and big tomatoes. baby tomatoes are okay but sometimes they have a bad taste or texture so  have to check them before I eat them. I love cereal!!! I would eat it for every meal if I was allowed :D.
I really hope I can make some friends on here and find people who have similar experiences. Especially people who have lost speech because it often makes me feel very lonely that I don’t know anyone else who is the same. But I have hope! 🤞🏻:D ❤️

Ladies and gentlemen, I give u,
Miscellaneous TF2 headcanons :)
Medic is lactose intolerant and absolutely HATES milk.
Soldier is too but he keeps on drinking milk and smiles through the pain
Demo has extensive knowledge of Scottish history and mythology and is more than willing to infodump about it
Like he'll be out fighting with the team and in the middle of nowhere be like: "yknow, this reminds me of this one tale-"
Scout noticed Pyro drawing one time and gave them tips on anatomy and line work! They're art buddies :)
Speaking of Scout and Pyro, both of them stim by chewing pens. Pyro does it more often though
Heavy likes wood carving and other stuff like that. He doesn't do it often because his hands are too big for the tools, but he likes seeing other people do it just as much
Spy was a huge theater geek and was part of a legit theater company before he became a mercenary (that's why hes so good at impersonating the others!)
He can also play the clarinet (but that doesnt mean that he can play it well)
Soldier thinks that the Statue of Liberty is alive ("She's just really good at standing still! She moves around at night")
Heavy tried to learn German to impress Medic and vice versa, but they were both absolutely horrible at each others languages and couldn't stop laughing when they tried and failed to pronounce certain words
