TIMELOOP AVENTIO AU BRAINROT
so i've been thinking and like they've actually been in my brain rolling around. i'm thinking about them dancing in one of the loops. ratio leading aventurine around in a slow, wonderful dance just for the two of them. there's no music and yet they dance, step after step, because it's just the two of them and time is limited but ratio wants to forget about how tomorrow aventurine will die. all he wants to do is hold this dearest gambler in his arms and pray to some sort of aeon that it will all be okay, somehow, someday. not now, though. now, he interlocks fingers with this man who's going to defy fate with his own help, and continues to dance.
he dances like he has no future or no past, and like this is not the thousandth time he's had to live through these days.
he dances like tomorrow he will wake up and it will be different.

what kills me is how people here in the west are so …. willfully, blissfully, ignorant of what’s transpiring in palestine. like i have even seen poc, even seen HIJABIS still buying starbucks and i’m like …… i guess dumbfounded at this point. “oh but it’s just one drink” “oh but my one dollar won’t make a difference if i spent it or not” “well it’s not my problem, the middle east is always at war”
are people so arrogant they think they are the exception to what’s happening in palestine? in fact. the victim blaming against the palestinians is insane “well they should’ve just left” “well they should’ve agreed to a ceasefire” “well they shouldn’t have let hamas take over” you guys make me sick to my stomach!!!! my god this rhetoric is so narcissistic it hurts!!!!!

what's your favorite Anderson headcanon?
while I have a lot of random Anderson headcanons... my absolute favorite has to be him having a soft spot for animals
since they fall along the lines of innocent creatures that can do no wrong- which I feel fits along the lines of his orphanage work. Picking stray kids and stray cats off the streets, just Anderson and his pack of strays <3

[Sidious about the Jedi]: "It's one thing to examine an energy field that permeates the galaxy. But to given an energy field characteristics of good and evil? One might as well say, 'That cloud wants to protect us from solar radiation, but that other cloud wants to strike us dead with lightning.'" (Windham, 40).
Lmao burn! Nice one sid.
It's interesting that Sidious holds a very atheistic view of the force. I think he may be right; that the force reflects the galaxy, and holds absolutely no moral truths.
Sidious got into power by making a fascist galaxy, and the force became fascist and served him. That is how he became the strongest Dark Lord in Star Wars history. He did not bend the force to his will, but the galaxy, and the force submitted because it is the galaxy.

How do you go about attaching eyes to minky fabric? I understand the idea of attaching button eyes with the washers, but I’m afraid of damaging the fabric 😓
Hey! There are four main types of eyes I use with minky (well, mostly two, but I have used two others sometimes)
1. Safety eyes! Safety eyes are the plastic ones with the post and a washer to keep them in place. To attach those, I poke a hole through the fabric (I use a closed pair of those bird-shaped embroidery scissors, but anything works), stick the eye through, and add the washer to the inside. I have not had an issue with the fabric fraying, but safety eyes are not recommended for small children because they are a choking hazard (I have never had safety eyes come off of sewn plushies, even the ones sent to my niblings, but better safe than sorry). If the hole for the eye is a little too big, you can do a gathering stitch around it; between the stretch and the fuzziness minky is a pretty forgiving fabric to work with
2. Applique! Basically just more fabric sewn to the outside of the plushie. When I started, I used felt, but these days I mostly use minky (because I have a bunch of colors of minky anyway and I am very comfortable working with stretchy fabric). This is the style usually recommended for use with small children
3. Embroidery! Pretty self-explanatory, this is the other one usually recommended for toys for small children
4. Button eyes! I don't use button eyes very often, but they are sewn on just like normal buttons. Like safety eyes, they are not recommended for things meant for small children
Idk if that actually answers your question? If it doesn't, let me know and I will happily expand on any of this
