I try to but I also get very nervous responding because I often don't know what to say back and I feel like it's almost rude or disrespectful to respond to a comment, esp the very nice ones that are long and in-deph with just a keysmash or a bunch of emojis, but I do read every single one since I have email notifications on for them

I'd like to sit down and respond to many but I really don't want to make it awkward so pls dear god readers forgive me

6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't like unhappy endings. I enjoy angsty stories but I like when it's at least ending happy to me

Not really? Most adults (in my experience) know the 'don't like don't read' rule and know basic online etiquette. I've gotten some for discontinuing a fic or switching fandoms though

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don't write or draw NSFW! I like to make some suggestive themes sometimes, but I'm a very ace person, it's not something I do often. (I do have a current running goal that if my friend reaches their donation goal for their medical bills that I would give NSFW a shot, but again its not really my cup of tea)

10 – Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Nah I haven't written any cross overs, but I do draw them sometimes. Recently I've been spinning a Alice in Wonderland x COTL crossover in my head.

11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yep. I've had people copy and paste my work, go in with a thesaurus to change a few words (like changing 'angry' to mad, 'upset' to 'sad', and so forth) to try and avoid detection and re-posted my written work under a different title name. AO3 staff took them down for violating their policy against plagiarism though

12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. I wouldn't mind it so as long as I'm asked before hand, though not on anon so I can actually work with the person to prevent any mistranslations or mishandling, and that I don't want my work posted to other websites

13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?

I think I did when I was a teen but I cannot remember now

14 – What's your all-time favorite ship?

Eh I don't have any favorites, just ones I really focus on for a long while

15 – What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Pass.

16 – What are your writing strengths?

I can sit down for hours or several days and work on a writing wip completely in the zone. I cant do it on command but its at least something I can do

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

Spelling and grammar, and sometimes long running sentences. I just kinda write, theres not really a goal for it to be perfect though so as long as the story gist and vibe is right, im fine with it

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done it before but only minor, had a friend help me with it (one or two lines of dialogue) Aside from that, I'm not comfortably fluent enough in anything to do it again without assistance

19 – First fandom you wrote for?

Soul Eater, when I was wayyy too young to be posting anything on the internet. My fanfics I wrote are still on fanfic.net to this day

20 – Favorite fic you've written?

It's inbetween TROD and EE&E right now

hi all! i really have been developing my COTL AU called

its about The Lamb (Rue) Ascending as soon as Narinder joins the cult after all the bishops are dead; or atleast they start to ascend, and Narinder struggles to keep them from loosing their mortality. but, spoilers basically: the bishops get restored and now theres a 6th mysterious bishop and somehow death is restored to his former power ;3

lo and behold its been taking alot out of me BUT writing this has been ALOT of fun so dar, ill probably be posting it on a03 maybe if i get the courage to post it :3 ive actuslly already posted snipbits of the story itself as art pieces here!

So it's been a hot minute, but COTL finally has a chokehold on me again, (i.e. I love the new content & I've almost perfected the game /almost/) so I've picked up writing. I have the long-awaited sequel in progress for one of posts as well as a stand-alone; However, that's not why I'm here. I've decided to start a slow-burning/re-telling of the COTL plotline from my sheep's perspective.

The re-written version of chapter 2 of the Narilamb witch au (Everlasting Flames of the Heart) has been updated,

"Salem looks away from their god, shame and guilt filling them. By a blood pact, they were now bound to the god of magic, the very god who gave Salem’s kin their magic. If Salem failed this pact, failed to kill the bishops of the old faith, then all traces of magic would surely be erased from the world. 1 – How many works do you have on AO3?

Okay, so, I actually have two ao3 accounts. One I don't use anymore and one I do currently. So I'm gonna count both of them

In total, it's at least 41. (14 on my current account, 24 on the old one, and there's 3 fics I've written that have since been orphaned that I remember having written)

2 – What's your total AO3 word count?

Roughly 150,549, but that's only from the unorphaned works, so it's gonna be a few thousand more, probably more like 152-155k

3 – What fandoms do you write for?

Currently just cotl, but I've written for a bunch of fandoms over the years, like mcyt, tgcf, mha, and a couple other fandoms, although those are the ones I've posted to ao3. Wattpad, where I started tho? Lot more lmao

4 – What are your top five fics by kudos?

I plead the fifth

5 – Do you respond to comments?

Yes!! I try to respond to every single comment I get, I appreciate and love my commenters so much <3

6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't remember the name of it, but it was a fic from my old account. I typically don't do angsty endings, so it's rare for me to do

7 – What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Pretty much all of them aldhsha except a few with more ambiguous endings (sorry I'm being so vague)

8 – Do you get hate on fics?

Not that I've seen, no.

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've written smut like. 4-5 times in my life (default poses in asexual), and only 2 of them are published to ao3. I have NO CLUE what "kind" of smut it is, but people on both works have described it as "tender" so ig that'll work

10 – Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I do nawt like crossovers much, so I don't write them. Closest I do is aus based off or set in another media's universe, but there's no character meetups

I hope not! I have no clue tho

Yes! My biggest fic on my old account has been translated a least once or twice (with my permission)

Not on ao3, no, but I'd like to try it again one day

Hmmmmmmm. Idk actually, my favorites shift with time. Currently it's narilamb, but it was ineffable husbands a few months ago. We'll see how it changes again in the future

Got a couple wips for good omens and mtp but idk if I'll ever finish them, they be sitting

I've been told my characterizations have been a strong point while reading, but I wouldn't count that as a WRITING strength. I think, to me, my writing strength is setting up an environment

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

Pacing and endings. I struggle with them every single time.

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I love it! I wish wish I knew more than English so I'd be comfy doing it myself (bc relying on online translators doesn't seem like a good idea slshs)

On ao3? I think mha?? Not sure I must have started posting ao3 fics over 5 years ago at this point (first fandom I wrote for period? Creepypasta fandom, on quotev.)

As of rn, maybe "of Harvest, of Celebration, and of Rest". I was so proud of it when I finished, and I love it :]

Chapter two of my Leshycatpril fic is up :3 this weeks prompt is: sickness ( @aniflowers )

" Without a word, Leshy bent down, plucking a handful of the flowers from the ground.

“Hey wait-” Were the few words Myosotis was able to get out before Leshy shoved the flowers, presumably roots and all, into his open mouth. The cat gagged, but Leshy did not let up, using his other hand to hold the back of the cats head.

“Its medicine, eat it and you’ll feel better,” Leshy told him, flashing a smile at him. Neither his words nor his award winning smile seemed to calm Myosotis down as his hands reached up to claw at Leshy’s arm. "

Leshy discovers his favorite new follower has fallen ill and tries his best to help, it does not go as planned

Tbh most of this chapter is just crack, but hey it was fun to write (also fun fact: I first started writing this chapter from Myosotis’s pov but couldn’t figure out how to write the beginning so scrapped it)
