so i ran the TD cast through brantsteele's danganronpa simulator. here's the cast

predetermined roles: leshawna protagonist, harold smart guy deuteragonist, noah antagonist.

big s/o to @tdsierra for help with choosing protag/smart character/antag, justifying each murder, and for also just absolutely slaying in general

below the cut is the full rundown of the specifics!

chapter 1

victims: heather & cody. heather is the "seemingly important" character that becomes the first victim, and cody is basically cannon fodder

killer: izzy. she wants nothing more than to shake up the game and i salute her

chapter 2

victim: harold/duncan. this is where the predetermined plot derails. gives leshawna some development probably. lost lenore type beat. an alternate here could be duncan but this is how the generator decided it. harold victim route sees noah become the new smart guy deuteragonist and alejandro become the new antagonist killer: sierra. distraught over the loss of cody she decides to hit the group where it hurts and kill the smartest one. alternate duncan route is where she notices that courtney and gwen spearheaded the previous trial to focus on heather's murder and so she kills duncan to spite them

chapter 3

victim: courtney. she and gwen's friendship/relationship kinda starts to implode after they start blaming one another for the deaths thus far. gwen blames courtney for cody (and duncan) and courtney potentially blames gwen for duncan's death. leads to tensions that end with courtney dead

killer: gwen. self-defense, after the two start fighting again, courtney brings out a weapon and gwen defends herself, with the culmination being that gwen kills her closest ally. gets rly nervous in the trial and goes under suspicion for a long time due to being friends with leshawna

chapter 4

victim: owen. this one is a straight up accidental murder. lindsay plans on either defending herself from possible attacks or straight out killing someone to escape and owen ends up in her crossfire and she kills him accidentally

killer: lindsay. again, completely accidental. black comedy here tbh, lindsay only incapacitated him at first and then she decided she might as well finish the job and thus she spends an unreal amnt of time trying to figure out how to kill him

chapter 5

victim: noah. again the generator fell off in terms of the predetermined plot but this could be a v good character moment for justin as a sleeper antagonist

killer: justin. in the duncan survivor route where alejandro is the one currently running the gambit on antagonism, justin attempts to one-up him by killing the smartest player in the game. in the harold survivor route justin is jealous of noah's power in the game and decides to try and off him for good. either way it stems from jealousy and his narcissism

alternate chapter 2 route: alejandro, eva, harold, leshawna, tyler

other key plot points

aletyler canon. chapter 4 has a big tyler moment where he realizes that he's forcing feelings for lindsay and that he really likes alejandro. in either route tyler is his closest ally and best friend, which makes tyler evil-adjacent in the duncan survivor route. alejandro returns the feelings and they make it official not long after

eva/noah alliance. in the harold survivor route that makes eva evil-adjacent. izzy is also let into the alliance but commits murder before they can really solidify as a power trio. escope supremacy real in all timelines

alt route. already mentioned but this gives both replayability and different dynamics. literally bespoke imo

no secret mastermind/traitor, just vibes (and murder). chris is there to try and provoke tensions but other than that there's no real defined Big Bad. while noah/alejandro are definitely the most antagonistic of the group they're just as vulnerable and likely to die as the rest of the group. this provides a lot more tension and suspense and makes the surprise deaths of seemingly important characters all the more interesting and gut-wrenching

anyway uh. i want to write this but i also have no idea how to write this. if someone wants to coauthor hit me up fr fr. gonna be hyperfixating on this forever now thank u <3

DR3 really did rob us of some comfy friendship moments between Nagito and the others in Class 77-B. The writers played so much into the fan perception of him that it ended up making the others look absurdly unreasonable with how they treated him. Making him the class outcast BEFORE he actually did anything bad with that gym incident. When compared to the sexual antics Teruteru was getting up to and Hiyoko's bratty behavior, Nagito making cringey hope speeches is pretty inoffensive. Me personally, I choose to headcanon that he actually did start to form some bonds during his time at Hope's Peak. Not just with pre-Kamukura Hajime and human Chiaki. But I think there's some good potential between him and Sonia, Mahiru, Fuyuhiko, Peko, Imposter, Nekomaru, Ibuki, and Gundham. Maybe they don't become full-on friends before the Tragedy hit. But they start to see him as more than just the class weirdo and recognize some of his more likable qualities. And he in turn develops a fondness that goes beyond idolization of them as Ultimates. Oh, and I like the idea of him being Matsuda's only real friend too...Possibly with a little romantic flame. I mean I love Komahina just fine, but the boy deserves some romantic alts too. Komanami, Matsukoma, Komazumi, Kuzukoma, and Nekomaeda are all very fun to me.

i definitely have things i like and dislike about dr3, but one big gripe was how much nagito was outcasted before he even did anything bad. it doesn't even bother me on a personal level, its more of just from a writing standpoint because i really dont understand it, like it's inconsistent with the characters. because there are definitely some weirdos (lovingly! unless you're teruteru) in that class besides nagito, yet he got the most shit for it.

the most he did was just be offputting and go on some weird hope speeches (nagito did make a comment about how he got intense on a speech and apologized, which shows he had SOME self awareness at least then) and everyone really disliked him, hardly any concern when he was gone for a lot of the school year. but then when he have characters in the class that i think could be comparable to nagito at least before the gym bombing issue, in terms of being an outcast or oddball. people such as; gundam, teruteru, hiyoko, mikan, and even fuyuhiko who is literally the heir to the yakuza. but the class still cared about all of them and were good friends with them, but nagito is where they drew the line.

it just, doesn't really make sense? it would have made much more sense if they had all disliked nagito AFTER the bombing incident. there could have been some angst about how they WERE friends with him, but felt uncomfortable around him after he planted a bomb in their gym. it just would have made a lot more sense. it just felt inconsistent to me and like lazy writing.

i also like to headcannon that he was at least friends with some of them too though! i've always felt like he could have an interesting friendship with fuyuhiko, sonia, and even ibuki just for the chaos lol. i can't say much about matsuda because i have yet to read danganronpa zero, but yeah, give nagito some friends smh.

i do think nagito might have a difficult time learning to like the ultimates as people though, because he's only really loved them for being symbols of hope. he knows nothing about them just as people, because of how warped his perception is. which again, could have been an interesting plot point so see developed. but, oh well! i do like to think after they all woke up, he did start learning to see them just as people and even make some friendships, since they're not really symbols of hope considering yknow... destroying the world lol. he did look to be on better terms with everyone in the brief moments of the cast we saw during hope arc. it's just a little thought i like to indulge myself in!

so it’s been years since I last thought about my danganronpa fangan really but idk maybe thinking about giving an original killing game (danganronpa-inspired) story another shot?

it’d be different, though.

basic premise of

1. All the participants are Ultimate candidates

2. Alt world with no HPA where Ultimate titles are given out by a secret society that has international sway, through a private process 

3. the kg would be the first year this “private process” would’ve turned lethal 

4. SO basically no one is an Ultimate yet. But the prize for winning would be becoming an Ultimate and all that entails (basically lifelong success and stability, also the reputation of being one of the elite)

I think the problem was I leaned too heavily on the original danganronpa and didn’t throw in enough of my own original concepts. Also I didn’t particularly feel invested in most of the cast.

Danganronpa Kirigiri Cast Designs - Victims of the 12 Duel Noir Challenge

For twelve of these guys, hard to believe most of them lack in the image department. So NAI was used to correct that, creating most of them base off their novel descriptions, with a few exceptions. Also did end up using the DR tag for some.

“Technically, one could count her as having art since she did appear as a sihloutte in volume 3. Buuuut, silhouette’s aren’t much compared to the full body art the other cast gets. Originally, had trouble with getting her to look suitably like a party girl, but of the variations think is the best one for it.”

You wonder what would happen were you to reach the top- you’ve heard the stories, of course. Yet. What you could never imagine.

Mirrored Skies is a Danganronpa Roleplay group set in an ancient tower. Featuring a cast of 16 students, this roleplay will take place over discord with submission-based trials.

Hope Squad Cosplay and idol group

Hello, you can call me Servant, Nagito or Nagi. I am an up and coming singer and voice actor as well as a cosplayer. You can find me on YouTube, discord, instagram, amino, smule and casting call. I have been Cosplaying since high school and have dreamed of having my own cosplay group so I started Hope Squad cosplay with my girlfriend and my best friend. We are looking for members still and that's where this comes from. First and foremost I am looking for Danganronpa cosplayers who are going to Con-Alt-Delete this December for a panel I will be hosting! I will be Nagito in the panel and my girlfriend will be either Pikachu or Kokichi in a Pikachu onezie if she's able to come. If you're interested in the panel let me know asap! Secondly, I am starting my own Love Live Dance group! I will for sure be Maki for the muse portion and I am hoping to do Hanamaru for the aqours side but that could change if we find a really cute Hanamaru to join us!
