Rank the druck couples. I really want to hear your thoughts on them
Oh wow ranking the druck couples, I was just trying to rank the kisses (which I will still do with a later ask) but I’ll gladly talk about the couples too. druck really knows how to write couples with chemistry
tbh I think I can categorize the couples better than I can actually rank them because I can see that eg. for me as a lesbian kieutou is just closer to my own experience and more what I have always craved as representation (also because i am currently invested in them) than davenzi but I can absolutely see how for someone who is a queer man and/or a trans man this can be the total opposite, and I don’t think one is better than the other necessarily. so rather than ranking them I will put them in six tiers (and low-key rank them within the tier on how much I personally subjectively love them)
tier 1: god tier couple, druck has done it again
1. Kieutou - okay look, we don’t know how this will play out, we don’t really know how kieu my feels about fatou, maybe I’m reading this all wrong and there will be so much hurt and angst between them that even I can’t take it anymore. but as of right now I really feel like that these two have been quietly and secretly crushing on each other for an agonizing period of time which makes their dynamic so refreshing, you know? they seem so equally awkward around each other. kieu my is intimidated by fatou because fatou has been open and familiar with her sexuality for longer and probably has more experience dating and crushing on women. Fatou is totally infatuated with kieu my and thinks she hung the moon and she is way too cool and “popular” for her. so they both think the other one is too good to be true, which ensures us more pining over the next couple of weeks because this kiss for sure did not seal the deal. they will still think the other one wasn’t as into the kiss as they were themselves, they will probably both pretend to regret the drunken kiss for the sake of staying (becoming lol) friends since they both in their own words wouldn’t date their girl-friends. honestly, mutual adoration and infatuation with lots of miscommunication is my favourite trope (add a little jealousy and you have my exact ao3 searches)
2. davenzi - I feel almost bad for ranking them second but I mean second is still top top tier and I still adore them. I think those two were very much equals from the beginning. That’s why I personally love them more than any other evak couple’s dynamic because it never felt like David was either out of matteo’s league or was just toying with matteo. they were just silently falling in love with each other more and more every day. it’s love and acceptance all around
3. Josh/nora (I still refuse to use spiderwitz as their shipname despite it really growing on me lol) - no love triangle, full support, lots of good communication. What else do you want from a relationship. seriously, those two are a perfect example of a healthy relationship and I hope teens see them and strive to find something similar. no more “changing the fuckboy”, wait for your josh, it’s worth it. technically a straight evak in their own special way huh, but idk, so different too. like all druck couples, but especially for them, I love how much fun they have together, they love teasing each other in such an adorable way
tier 2: super cute and healthy but needs more development
4. mazzouk - remember summer 2019, remember their palpable chemistry, remember how druck was like “whelp we don’t know how to write couples who don’t kiss, so let’s turn back to mia and hanna” okay that was enough pettiness, but honestly I think they work really well, they had the clearest and most honest communication out of all the druck couples because King mohammed just loved openly communicating. but they’re ending felt way too rushed, the clip in the park was cute but they should have talked about everything more, delved deeper into what it means for them, how they will go forward etc
5. Kiki/carlos - obviously as a background couple they need more development, but I feel like we have seen enough over the past 4 seasons to call them one of the healthiest skamverse couples. they support each other, they encourage each other, they take interest in what other one is doing and interested in! definitely the best vilde/magnus variation and even without the comparison just a super good couple
tier 3: I have a soft spot for them but objectively not the best example of a relationship
6. Winterberg - i do have a tiny place for them in my heart (especially because they were the first skam season I have ever watched live) but..... any noorhelm couple overall is just a bit yikes for me. They had their very cute moments though rare, but fuckboys is just not a trope I personally ever enjoy. tbf they were still light-years better than most other noorhelm couples. and I really appreciate that they broke up, that definitely gives them a bonus point
tier 4: super indifferent yet somehow disappointed 🤷♀️
7. Sam/abdi - they didn’t work for me at all, Sam was very clear about not wanting a serious relationship and abdi still got his hopes up. also I’m just overall a bit eh about how Sam was written very one-dimensionally and boy-crazy.....
8. hanna/stefan - award for the most unnecessary couple, I’m glad we got Carl though. I also feel like this relationship didn’t add anything to hanna as a character, it actually did her a great disservice imo, Stefan was purely another obstacle between Jonas and her....
tier 5: Jonas Augustin s2 ruined this ship
7. Jonas/hanna - Seriously, Jonas ruined this ship bc if it wasn’t for how he behaved in s2 I would have ranked them in the healthy and cute tier...... but wow, Jonas in season 2 really was Constantin and that is just a big yikes from me
tier 6: YIKES
8. Nora/construction - I still hate the fact that there are actual fan videos for them on youtube

I know I look forward to everything you post, you’ve managed to make me like things I really wasn’t interested in (at first I wasn’t going to read childhood AU or nobody gets left behind because it’s really not my thing, but after a couple of months I decided to try them out since I loved your other works and I’m glad I did because I loved them !).
At this point i like your works not because theyre Davenzi but because I love the way you write your characters, relationships and emotions :)
ah thank you, that does mean a lot. that’s so interesting though, that i tempted you to read fic tropes that aren’t your usual cup of tea. i find it fascinating what people like. childhood aus and family fics are my favourite, also soulmate au, i had a good idea for that, once upon a time.
but also i love that you like my characters, that’s why i think i’m branching out, because i’m enjoying writing my own characters so much, and exploring emotions and relationships will always be at the heart of. perhaps when i’ve written my next story i’ll share a little and you might like that too <3

If you r still taking davenzi prompts ♡ - romantic headcanon
Hi anon! I’ve been thinking about this ever since I got it trying to decide how I think this would go. I feel like they’re not the sort of people to do the usual sort of romantic gesture, at least not as a spontaneous gesture. Their idea of romance has always been teasing each other and trying to knock each other of their feet. So that’s where they’re at.
Basically, in my headcanon I think they basically get dared into doing something traditionally romantic. Like, Carlos or Abdi says something about how some other couple (I dunno, Kiki/Carlos or Hanna/Jonas or Amira/Mohammed once she’s back) is ‘more romantic’ than they are, and they immediately take that as a dare. And from then on, they try to outdo each other at those public gestures. It becomes something of a running joke for the rest of the crew, like ‘oh, what did David do this time?’ ‘a picture of Matteo every day for the whole week’ ‘oh man, no way Matteo can top that’ ‘you’d think, except he went and found out from Laura all of David’s favourite foods and learned how to cook them …” etc etc. Like it’s all thoughtful and meaningful and they both really love thinking of things to do for each other to outdo whatever was last, and they both really appreciate the things the other does. But it’s not the things that really mean the most.
Because unknown to the rest of the group, this thing is mostly just a game to them. They get a kick out of how much joy it gives to the others, and while they really appreciate all those big gestures, what really does it for them is the small stuff. The things like being together, holding each other, noticing when the other one isn’t feeling great and doing whatever is needed to make him feel at least loved even if things aren’t perfect for him. Because for them, those big things have never been what it’s about. It’s teasing each other through the bad times, but knowing when it’s better to hold each other or be quiet together. For them, the most romantic thing is feeling understood and noticed, seen and responded to. None of that big stuff will ever compete with that. But they still do it because it’s fun, it sets off their competitive sides and it makes everyone else around them happy.

What is your favourite ship in every skam version? :)
Ooh this is such a hard question cause I have multiple likes in every remake but I’ll try.
OG - Isak and Even : No other couple made feel like how their story made me feel like. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, one where you don’t know what’s coming next. Their story made me believe in a lot of things. I love the young love rush they had and also the absolute dedication they had.
Druck - Hanna and Jonas : Okay I love Davenzi a lot too but like Hanna and Jonas have a different place in my heart still I’m only choosing them cause I have to choose one. From the start they always seemed so in love and it was evident how much Jonas cared about her. They felt different than others. Also, I loved how their story was concluded-with the “nose” and all.
Skam Italia - Eva and Gio : Their chemistry was off the charts. And I loved the little moments between them. Like how they laughed together, how Gio played with Eva’s hair all the time, their height difference etc. They felt so domestic and like they should be together. I’m still rooting for them!
Skam France - Lucas and Eliott : Again great chemistry! Their connection was from there since the beginning and their love felt so energetic but dramatic at the same time which was nice. I am still not over the scene where Eliott watches Lucas play piano. The look Eliott gives…wow…
wtFOCK - Zoe and Senne : I mean their story even this season, no matter how hearbreaking it was, was just so great. I loved the way the story led to their break up even if I was sad. Also, like their love was so warm and I feel like they understood each other and challenged each other on another level.
Skam NL - Liv and Noah : Well, I actually liked Isa and Kes too not because they were soulmates but they embodied the young, crazy first love really well. Liv and Noah takes no.1 though but only the first half of the season. Their whole will they won’t they thing with Noah getting on Liv’s nerves but her leaving smiling every time was so loveable.
Skam Espana - Cris and Joana : It’s that I believed in their love at the first scene ever. The way Cris talked about Joana to the others and how bright she looked during that was all just so cute. And again, I loved their small, intimate moments, inside jokes and all. Looking forward to see them as a developed couple now!

It had been raining all day but that didn’t make Alex cancel the party he had planned for after the Abi committee meeting.
Matteo had considered not going but they guys had talked him into it, which he now deeply regretted. The loud music had drowned out the lightning and thunder until the music suddenly stopped and the room went dark. A second later, lighting lit up the room.
Immediately, the party mood turned into nervous energy.
Alex got everyone’s attention by jumping on the counter and shouting a “hey!” It took a moment for everyone to listen to him but then he announced, “The weather out there seems pretty bad so none of you have to worry about how to get home. It’ll be cramped but there’s enough room here for everyone.”
Matteo stayed in the background in the chaos of finding enough candles to get some light and then getting everyone settled into corners with blankets and pillows while Mia stood in the kitchen making cocoa for everyone.
It was clear that it would be an uncomfortable night but everyone seemed excited about the impromptu sleepover, the mood lifting even more when Alex handed Jonas a guitar and he started playing requested songs.
When everyone was settled, Matteo approached Alex for his own blanket. “Hey man. Thanks for doing this, dude,” Matteo said.
Alex smiled, “No problem. Last blanket, you’re lucky.”
“Hey.”
Before Matteo could grab the blanket, a boy walked up to them. He quickly seemed to understand the situation. “Last blanket?” He asked to confirm. Both Matteo and Alex nodded. “That’s chill. You were here first so it’s only fair if you take it,” He looked at Matteo with a smile.
Matteo was distracted by dark brown eyes but he still somehow managed to reply, “I don’t mind sharing the blanket with you. If you’re okay with it, of course.”
His smile broadened and it did things to Matteo’s heart. “Okay. Yeah,” He said nonchalantly.
“Nice. Wanna find a spot and I’ll get us some cocoa?” Matteo suggested.
He nodded, taking the blanket.
Matteo used the time away from the boy to tell himself to be fucking chill. Yes, he’d seen the boy in the hallways a couple of times and hell yeah, he was attracted to him. But he could be chill and share a blanket with him, goddamnit.
“Hi Matteo. You’re okay? Hope this isn’t too terrible an arrangement,” Mia smiled at him, handing him a cup with cocoa.
Matteo shrugged, “It’s fine. But actually, could you make that two?”
“Cups? Of course.” Mia handed him a second one, eyeing him curiously.
Matteo didn’t offer her an explanation. She’d probably see him huddled together with the boy later anyway. Matteo flushed at the thought. “Thanks, I’ll see you later!”
He spotted Abdi and Carlos first, sitting together close to where Jonas was playing the guitar. They waved him over, indicating that they kept a spot for him but Matteo just nodded and then turned away. He found the boy quickly after that, in a corner a little away from everyone else.
“Na,” Matteo smiled, handing both cups to him to sit down next to him.
“Hey. Thank you.” He waited until Matteo had settled down to give back the cup and then said, “Uh, we have Geography together, right? You’re Matteo?”
Matteo was taken aback that he knew his name. “Oh. Yeah!” Suddenly he was mad at himself that he always spaced out in Geography so he didn’t know his name.
“I’m David,” He grinned.
“You’re new, right?” Matteo wondered, taking a careful sip from his cocoa.
“Yep,” David said but quickly changed the subject, “Jonas is really good on the guitar.”
Matteo smiled, a little proud of his best friend. “He’s been playing ever since I can remember.”
“Oh, you’re friends? Jonas and I have maths together, I let him copy my homework sometimes.”
“Best friends,” Matteo confirmed. He rested his head against the wall, feeling tiredness settling in. Socialising all evening took its toll and he had been looking forward to crawling into his own bed where everything was quiet.
“Are you tired?” David asked.
Some other people were lying down already but were still turned toward Jonas to listen to him play the guitar, quietly talking to their neighbours. It wouldn’t be suspicious if Matteo lay down as well. “Just a little.”
David unfolded the blanket. “Should we lie down then?” He took off his hoodie and bunched it up, holding it out to Matteo who looked at it in confusion. “You can use it as a pillow if you want.”
“Oh.” Matteo blushed. He wasn’t used to people being so considerate.
They drank their cocoa, talking a little bit, mostly about school but it surprisingly wasn’t uncomfortable. When Jonas started playing a Sam Smith song, David immediately noticed Matteo’s happy smile and they started sharing their favourite artists.
After putting their empty cups to the side, they lay down — most people were by now. “Are you sure you don’t need your hoodie?” Matteo made sure, not wanting to use it if David wanted it.
“Really, it’s fine,” David chuckled.
“Okay,” Matteo said sheepishly. He probably should have gotten the memo the first two times he had asked and David had said he didn’t need it.
Matteo got comfortable, David’s smell lingering in the hoodie immediately wafting over him. He couldn’t help but bury his nose deeper into the soft fabric. There was something very comforting about the smell.
“Are you okay?” David asked lowly.
Matteo shivered. “Mmh,” He hummed, knowing his voice would betray him if he tried to say more.
“You’re not too cold?”
Matteo didn’t know what to say to that. They weren’t in a movie so if he said yes, would David suggest cuddling him? “I don’t know,” He mumbled.
David laughed. “How do you not know if you’re cold?” His eyes were all scrunched up from laughing and he radiated joy.
God, Matteo was in deep.
“You’re really handsome, you know?” Matteo blurted, eyes widening immediately when he realised what he had said.
A pretty blush rose to David’s cheeks and he turned his face away from Matteo, mumbling into his arm, “No, you!”
The butterflies in Matteo’s stomach went wild. Ironically, Jonas currently sang, “Kiss me, like you wanna be loved, wanna be loved. This feels, like falling in love, falling in love.”
Matteo grinned and so did David, looking like he was very aware of their soundtrack. Neither of them looked away from the other, their smiles growing bigger and bigger until they were giggling helplessly.

I’m happy for all Winterberg fans, because it is always awesome to get more content from your favourite couple.
I know I would be very happy to get Davenzi content that is not instagram.
BUT and I honestly mean this, because I already see posts saying “if it were davenzi you wouldn’t complain”, I seriously thought Druck would do better! I thought they would give Amira the time she deserved!
So, yes, even though I would be happy about Davenzi content, because they are my faves, I would still be upset for Amira, because she DESERVES better!
But... this is Druck and I trust Druck and I feel liek they got something up their sleeves? But, I don’t know man, spending two clips on Mia, feels... off, especially because they didn’t really bring anything new to the scene?
Man, i am just writing down everything I think, feel free to ignore this.
But yea, I am gonna cling to my mantra

Druck 30 day challenge - Day 8 - Favourite romantic relationship
(@hjertetssunnegalskap1 had the lovely idea of this challenge. @everyone, check out her original post, and do the challenge yourself if you feel like it! :))
Let’s talk about expectations (yes, this is how I chose to start my “another unpopular opinion” round). I mentioned in my ‘favorite friendship’ answer that I always expect to love the Isak/Jonas friendship. Similarly, I always expect to ship the Even and Isak characters. However, I have an entirely different relationship towards Noora and William, which is more of a “yay and nah” for me. Sometimes I start shipping them at the end of the ‘Eva season’, sometimes in the early episodes of season 2, sometimes I don’t ship them at all, nevertheless it’s always a journey. With Alex and Mia, I genuinely didn’t like them in season 1, okay, as individual characters I liked Mia and I could see how potentially Alex could turn out to be an interesting character, but as a couple, nah. Then season 2 came, and they were what I hoped them to be, and then so much more. So uhm, yes, favorite romantic relationship for me is Winterberg.
If the question were about ‘the most important romantic relationship’, I’d say Davenzi, without a moment of hesitation. ‘The best written romantic relationship’? ‘The most realistic’? I don’t really know, I’m not sure my answer would be still Winterberg, but I try to answer these questions based on my personal feelings (which is definitely influenced by the fandom experience as well), and not based on some objective ‘goodness’, because if I did, I’d still be sitting over the ‘day 1’ question. So again, I realize what a freaking amazing job they did with Hanna and Jonas in season 1 (they managed to maintain the ‘Eva arc’ but also made us love Jonas, which is, yeah, quite a feat), and I know how important and unbelievably great Davenzi is (and I actually adore how different they feel compared to Evak), and they developed the Kiki/Carlos relationship in a really cool way (yes, they are cheesy sometimes, but their relationship is super supportive and healthy and I love them), but yes, it’s really Winterberg for me. (Btw I do admit giving this answer was way harder than I’ve anticipated. Having seen the last few clips with Davenzi and seeing more of their dynamic almost made me change my mind about my favorite ship, but I’m sure others will write a lot about them in their answers, so I’m giving some love to Mia and Alex, too.)
I love that they never portrayed their relationship as perfect, and acknowledged that yes, sometimes it will be damn hard, because both of them are stubborn af. (I don’t really like what they did with them in season 3, but them dramatically fighting was for sure in character.) I loved the Pride & Prejudice parallels, I loved their chemistry, and that their dynamic was so different from the Noorhelm one. I loved that their banter didn’t disappear just because they got together; Mia still made fun of Alex’s pretentiousness, still called him out when he was being an asshole, and Alex still teased Mia for being a know-it-all and called her out when she hurt Alex by refusing to be honest with herself. (One of the things that always annoys me whenever I watch or read an ‘Enemies to Lovers’ story is that a lot of times the characters fall into a perfect relationship, and all the fights and annoyances just disappear, and their whole dynamic changes.) Mia’s relationship with sex was important and they talked about it multiple times, yet, their relationship was never sexualized, it was all about vulnerability, and letting each other see that vulnerability. I loved that I understood why Alex was clinging to the idea of him and Mia so hard even in season 1, and I loved that the moment Mia admitted that ‘okay, this guy is kinda worth liking’ was so clearly shown. I love those pairings that make sense to me, and it’s all the more exciting when at first glance I don’t see how they would, but then they get to know each other and I get to know them, and suddenly the whole thing clicks.
I think Druck does an awful lot of things wonderfully, but they are truly exceptional at writing romances. Their three main pairings are so freaking different, yet, all three of them work perfectly. So yes, once again let me emphasize that I chose the pairing I didn’t expect to love as much as I do, but I do love and adore every other pairing in the show, too.

One Druck scene i really admire, but which is kinda underrated (in my opinion) is the "Mama" clip. Many people were dissapointed cause there was no davenzi reunion that evening. But I really appreciate the way Druck did it. The focus was on Matteo and his personal journey.You can see and really feel how much Matteo and his mom miss and love each other.They seem to have a real, important connection, even though MI had separated them quite a bit.It is my favourite Isak/Mom scene among all remakes.

I have to admit I needed a bit of time to not be disappointed. But I feel like that is also Druck’s MO a little bit, playing with our expectations.
At the time I felt like they could have switched some scenes around and would have been able to do the church scene on Friday.
But now I do agree with you, I think it was a very brilliant move to distance the two scenes from each other. The church scene with his mum was not about David, or David/Matteo the couple, it was about Matteo, about Matteo opening up, hugging his mum, letting himself be vulnerable with her.
I love the relationship between Matteo and his mum and I could probably write an essay about it and about what I make up in my mind about it. And I am still a bit sad we didn’t get even more in season 3.
But back to the scene, apart from Matteo/Mum we get the epic walking in scene. There is this reactor on YouTube, ky nicole, and she said over that scene something like how his character development is amazing and probably the best in the skam universe and I agree.
That scene always gives me goosebumps, especially when he looks in the camera and right into your soul and he has this tiny hint of a smile and yeah it just gives me lots of feelings every time I watch it and it makes me want to protect him always.
