1920’s Ride the Cyclone AU

A thing before we start: This takes place in Chicago, America not Uranium City.

Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg, a women strictly against Alcohol. If she supported Prohibition her recently deceased husband must have too. It was a tragic accident of what happened to Ocean’s husband but it should not be invested throughly. Ocean goes up to Police Officers like Officer Gruber to inform him over smuggled illegal alcohol. She has noted that Officer Gruber often ignores her inputs and she’s pissed.

Noel Gruber, Police Officer by day, speakeasy owner by night. Noel’s sister Monique works as a flapper in different speakeasies, usually makes her way around the block. When working as an officer, Noel would ignore the suggests about people owning alcohol and take bribes from those who did. He lives in a two room apartment with his boyf- I mean roommate Ricky Potts.

Mischa Bachinski, bootlegger. Makes piles of good money off it. Mischa known for having great quality alcohol and that many speakeasies owners buy from him. As a child with his mother he came to America for a better life but in return they got discrimination for being from Russia.

Ricky Potts, a newspaper reporter. Practically a slave to his bosses, having to write a new article every hour and finish it by the next. When Ricky was younger he reviewed restaurants, shows and other social things, usually bringing along his boyfr- I mean roommate Noel Gruber. But now that he’s older he writes about missing people, gangs, robberies and murders.

Penny Lamb, a waitress who dreamed of being a fashion designer. Didn’t earn a lot of money for her and her brother, but enough to make it by. Penny is extremely close with Ricky so if she gets a fashion business up and running she knows a few people won’t hesitate to give a 5 star review. Despite any negatives there might be.

Constance Blackwood, a jazz singer. She travels around all of Chicago performing at a different place almost every night. Constance is extremely popular and gets lots of love. But she loves going to this diner where this extremely pretty waitress works. On nights when she’s not busy at another place Constance heads down to perform at Noel’s speakieasy because they are besties.

• Talia and Mischa are actually married in this AU and they knew each other before moving from Kiev, Russia. (I SAY RUSSIA BECAUSE UKRAINE WAS APART OF RUSSIA IN THE 1920’S AND KYIV IS SPELLED THAT WAY BECAUSE THE NAME CHANGE HASNT HAPPENED YET)

• Ocean’s husband is not an OC. He’s basically just an unnamed character basically a John Doe to you all. Him as a person is irrelevant.

• They are not all the same age, Constance is 19, Penny is 20, Noel and Monique are 24, Ricky is 26, Mischa and Talia are 26 and Ocean is 31.

• Noel wants to be his sister most of the time but can’t also Monique is a flapper and not a s*x worker.

11x24: Rest in Peace - Sleeping Beauty and Other Symbols

Oh! Something else I wanted to mention before I forgot it. When Princess radioed Mercer from the train, she called herself Aurora! Massive intersection point there between the “North” symbolism (Aurora Borealis is Latin for the North light) and the “Sirius” symbolism. (Radios are Sirius symbolism.)

But even more awesome, Aurora was the Roman goddess of dawn, who is of course Sirius/Morningstar/Venus symbolism in its own right. “Aurora” is THE Latin world for “dawn.”

This is absolutely magnificent use of the Sirius/North Star symbolism from tptb, absolute brilliance! I could not love it more! Imo, this is a shameless shoutout to TD!

Can’t believe I almost forgot to mention it. It was one of the best examples of Sirius/North Star symbolism of the entire series, if you ask me.

I love this so much! There’s so much attention to detail in the symbolism tptb has applied around Beth over the years. It’s so well thought out, and they’re totally escalating it now towards the series finale. I can’t help but feel hopeful.

The Aurora reference is one of those I’ve kind of been waiting for, like I did with the crowned Victoria bird. It was always something that seemed suitable for TPTB’s modus operandi, and when they said a woman named Aurora tried to get a hold of Mercer, I just gasped!

How well this plays with how AK and Gimple has used Disney princesses to emphasize a clue or hint that they have left us.

Yeah for sure! That IS amazing. I remember hearing the Aurora name from Princess and immediately thinking of Sleeping Beauty. But it was a passing thought and I never went back to it. I wouldn't have thought to connect it to Sirius via the Aurora Borealis. Great work. I love it!

Your mind works much faster than mine does. I remember hearing Aurora with the call signal from princess and I kept thinking what is that from, why is that familiar? Then I got caught up in the story and let it go. I did not connect it to Aurora the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty until I had read Kari connection to Sirius and then it hit me, wasn't Aurora part of the Sleeping Beauty story. That's when I got up out of bed a little before 3a.m.and went to checked it out after tossing and turning for well over an hour.

Lol. Not always a good thing, though. My brain was spinning with so many other things in the episode, I never went back to it. ;D But that's why it's good we all contribute, so we don't miss or completely forget about things like this. And to be fair, Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my favorite fairy tales, so I'm more apt to remember it.

If princess mentioning Aurora is a hint towards Sleeping Beauty, Beth then I will take the leap and say that Solomon is about how Daryl feels about Beth.

We had a very clear and for TWD a lingering look at this scene. Lingering meaning a few seconds. There is a green awning above the storefront the name Solomon you could say we have the black and white symbol here black storefront white building and then another sign that again says Solomon Street Barbers.

Instead of going on the internet for some research and yes I do know of Solomon. He was the son of David and Bathsheba he was the great wise King and also wrote the Song of Solomon. For more information I went to this handy book.

Why is this important because this book can be seen in twd. It was a book in Deanne's house. I found the title in a scene with Rick.

They describe all the books in one word so here is Song of Solomon.

Did you guys notice that the barber salon is pink?. Also want to mention that in there was a time when barbers or barbershops where the place that you would go for medical treatment.

The more we look at this episode the more excited I become, in the most fearful kind of way, haha.

I thought it was quite interesting that young man had to be 13 before they were allowed to read the book. 13 being considered an adult.

This is really interesting Ann. I forgot about Solomon. I think we’ve talked about David before, because he’s a musician. Solomon was his son, and I like the attention to David’s legacy, and how he appreciated love and music and poetry, hence the Song of Solomon. King David and Bathsheba are the subject of the Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah,” a spiritual song about Judaism.

Song of Solomon is also a Toni Morrison novel. Idk the significance, other than that part of it takes place in Virginia, and it is a sort of grail quest, with Milkman on the hunt for some family gold, and he learns about his family legacy instead, along the way. It’s a very Biblical book. All signs point back to the Bible, which is why that book being at Deanna’s house is so interesting. I mean. It’s like a key.

A couple related thoughts Song of Solomon abbreviates to “SOS.” The barber shop could also be a reference to Samson (Maggie’s story in 5a).

I was checking out something in e23 when I found this.

Packing House 22. I know that I'm probably the only one but when I read that my mind went to terminus and the body parts hanging on meat hooks like a meat packing plant.

Daryl's leggings! He seems to be back to having a dark gray on his right leg and the white laces on his left, left side=Beth.

AK has episodes notes at the end like she always does. Nothing earth-shattering but she avoids talking about amount of time that has passed.

Here are some initials thoughts I had as I read above. I actually feel that the parts of Daryl getting knocked out unconscious and waking up in a strange place not knowing where he was is more of a foreshadowing for the spin-off. I realized that it is a parallel story to Beth in so many ways. There are certain things that we've already been told about the spin-off that fits here.

Daryl gets kidnapped (Beth from the funeral home) He wakes up not knowing where he is (Beth at Grady). He encounters people he's unfamiliar with (Dawn, Edwards and the hospital system.) He tries to figure out a way to get back home (Beth attempting an escape with Noah).

OMG! This might have been obvious to you guys but it just struck me that this is also Rick's story. Which It makes me very excited because Rick and Beth parallel each other and now we're pulling in Daryl to the mix.

The other thing that I love, love is that Gimple have gone out his way to talk about Michonne and Rick's love story. How these two people was separated by a great with Michonne believing that Rick was dead until she found evidence that he was alive. I love this. These two couples, two brothers will have similar parallel stories and similar love stories. 2 couples, 2 brothers, 22.

Hi there,

I am Deanne and WELCOME to my first ever BLOG!

In this blog I will share my favorite hobbies like my love for arts – especially calligraphy, books and my K-POP fangirling.

It’s like I am opening myself to all of you and knowing myself more as I unravel the depths of my mind.

So my first blog is all about how being a K-POP Stan changed me as a person.

"Saved"

In my roller coaster ride of life, there were multitude of experiences that changed me into who I am now. In fact, entering the craze of K-POP world could be one of the life-changing experiences I had in my whole existence.

The saying that goes “Never idolize anyone or you will lose yourself" is the total opposite of what others thought it would be. Honestly, being in a K-POP stan was not in my vocabulary at first yet it made me love it more and treasured it the most.

I was in my 8th grade when I met the first K-POP girl group that was introduced by my best friend to me. Hesitation was clouded in my mind as I thought of supporting a group that I am not accustomed to. I am much more open to the fact that they are not just random people who I brought into my life but not knowing will be a part of me already. Before I knew it, I am secretly invested as to what the group would become in their journey as an idols. I watched their music videos, streamed to their mv’s at YouTube, immersed in their music and waited for their updates and contents they provide at Twitter or any social media platforms they had. Up until now, I have two ult groups – favorite groups, TWICE and ENHYPEN.

I then started to realize several things about being a K-POP stan for how many years. K- POP allows me to love myself more and know my self-worth as a person. They set the bar of standards so high that it seems unreachable for anyone to climb up to. To be confident of my capabilities and to be the best version of myself are few of those self realizations that enabled me to be a woman who is growing and improving herself while working for her own good. Somehow, they really inspired me to be the best that I can be. They really has brought a lot of joy and happiness in me.

I learn how to dream, to aspire what I wanted to be. These idols surpassed a lot from their training period and they proved to me that they reached theirs up till debut, why I cannot do that to myself. The perseverance and patience they had to get through all instances they faced. To be brave and not letting other peoples criticism to consume me.

I had always admired their support and love to one another, their friendship was pure and one of a kind. Learn to treasure and love every person in my life as they are the always with me.

It shows that they inspired me in many ways they do not know and that there’s more than it meets the eye. They saved me from sadness and sheltered me from the harsh realities of life. They became my solace when the darkest of days passed by. Fate works as our stars crossed and aligned. Stanning them was worth it and I am not regretting any ounce of it as my life without them would be a misery.

I maybe one of their fans, a total stranger to them but I really love them to know that they mean a lot to me and that they changed me into the woman that I am now.

Watch With Me: Hart to Hart 1x20

Episode Title: Cruise At Your Own Risk

Original Airdate: April 8, 1980

Why this one?: The return of the White Hat that was purchased in "You Made Me Kill You" and a white suit that is just *chef kiss*. Also this episode went in HARD on the banter. It's just an all around fun episode. This is also the last first season episode I will be recapping. Onward to season 2!

Favorite Quote: Max: What's he doing here? Jennifer: He had a proposition for me. Max: At this hour?

We start off with someone on a ship, coming through the porthole, to steal some jewelry. It's a blonde lady.

Then we kick off this entire thing with Jonathan using his car phone to call Jennifer and thank her for the good morning shag. Jennifer's like "it was my pleasure" and Cheeky Jonathan says "our pleasure". OK KIDS WE GET IT. Bless them.

Jennifer goes back to sleep because he wore her out.

Jonathan shows up at work grinning and waving at everyone.

But he shows up to a big mess at work because of the jewel thefts on the cruise ships.

Their empire line cruise ships are: The Desirée, The Josephine and the Marie-Louise.

Jonathan didn't file insurance claims on the thefts but paid for them out of pocket because he didn't want to get a reputation for being a cruise line where you get your shit stolen.

But now so much stuff has been stolen that the money is racking up.

$600,000 worth of jewels was stolen from The Desirée. You know what that means? Undercover assignment!

Jonathan tells Deanne to make reservations on The Desirée under the name of Carter Chamberlain. Carter is the last of the big spenders... and this time he'll be taking his mistress. "WHAT" Stanley yelps.

Also, Guido Della Fortuna will be on-board.

Max finds Jonathan at home - Jennifer's just barely out of bed and still in her robe. It really was a good morning, wasn't it?

*insert favorite quote here*

you know what. what the hell even is an industrialist. I use the phrase like I know what he even is but I don't.

Max isn't sure he wants to go on a cruise because deep water.

on the way to the airport, jonathan presents jennifer with a case of "Cartier" jewels. Irving Cartier - fakes, the best money can buy.

they take the jet to Puerto Vallarta.

LOOK AT THESE SUITS. please excuse Jonathan's stupid ascot. but jennifer's cleavage goes all the way to the southern hemisphere

Max is wearing that ascot correctly.

hey. what even is an ascot. I use a lot of words I don't even know.

the like...activity director? of the ship says a lot of stuff about safes and stuff, but Jonathan likes to keep his valuables out where he can admire him. He looks right at Jennifer's bosom when he says that.

so does this guy, with his binoculars. They play it off like he's looking at her jewels but he's not.

Activity director guy then introduces his wife who is ... in charge of something else on the ship. I'm not really paying attention. But it's the blonde from the intro scene - the thief! She's his wife.

Oh, I should say that J&J are using exaggerated southern accents.

In the stateroom Jonathan is checking out the safe. It would be easy to break into.

Jonathan always asks Jennifer to check his bowtie and then he makes a grab for her and she's always so shocked. His tie is always perfect, of course hes gonna cop a feel girl!

Anyway, the cabin room doors have special keys made with special machines so they can't be duplicated.

So the only other way to get into the room is the window - the porthole. Which is small and the sheer face of the ship is out there. Not a very easy entrance but possible, as we saw in the opening.

They're still debating the ways someone could get into the room when Jennifer flashes the bling.

"Enough honey to attract the bees." Oh who knows. They may not be able to see the honey for the flowers. "Awww, that's the cutest thing you've ever said to me, sugar. Well shall we?"

The cruise director guy asks if his wife saw the icing on Chamberlain's cupcake. He thinks her jewelry is very pricey and he wants it.

His wife reminds him that they said one hit on each ship. They're going to get caught.

Her husband is like "you know I don't like you taking these chances" but he wants her to steal them so they can retire.

he has a very strange accent.

in the bar, J&J see Max as Guido and then Cruise Director and his wife show up and they all drink together. Dom Perignon, 1963.

they discuss jennifer's necklace, because that makes sense.

at dinner, guido is meeting a new lady friend because Max has MAD game.

on the dance floor, Jonathan is dancing with the blonde wife and Jennifer is at the table with cruise director.

he tells her he's more of a hotelier brought in to smooth out the rough edges.

his wife's name is pamela. I'll try to remember that.

Part of their job is to fraternize with the passengers, but it's easier with beautiful people like the Harts. It's a line, but it's true.

Pamela asks Jonathan how they spend their days and the little shit says "just about the same way we pass our nights."

Cruise Director wants to know what "carter" does for a living and Jennifer says he lives off of one investment - marriage. His first two wives were really rich.

jonathan notices the guy who had the binoculars on Jennifer's rack kind of skulking around.

Cruise Director invites Jonathan to shoot skeet the next day while Jennifer is going to Pamela's exercise class.

The harts dance and talk and Jonathan sends Jennifer back to the cabin, hoping the skulking dude will follow her. He advises her to let the skulker do "anything" and when she objects, he says "almost anything".

The skulker does indeed follow her to the cabin then puts a piece of tape over the lath of the door - that will keep it from locking.

Once jennifer leaves the cabin, this dude searches the room and finds the jewels! He uses a jewelers loop to investigate a piece, finds a watch inscribed with "hart to hart" and then leaves the room and removes the tape.

The harts come back just in time to see him leaving down the hall. They follow and then there's a chase. The skulker is running but the Harts are walking, which is just weird. I guess they decide it's a boat - how far can he go?

they find the guy hiding in a lifejacket box. He's an investigator with the insurance company - they carry the cruise line's insurance.

He calls Jennifer "Mrs Hart" so he knows who they are.

the boys are comparing peens shooting skeet.

The cruise director, Patrick that's his name, wants to bet. So Jonathan agrees.

But then he asks the guy to pull FOUR clay thingies and gets them all because he's a goddamn badass.

Patrick is like "fuuuuck".

Over at the exercise class, this bitch is doing the uneven bars, which seems dangerous on something that's moving but whatever.

The important part is she's a gymnast. World class.

Max and his ladyfriend are at a dance class, where the instructors are wearing clothes I don't understand at all. What is this cowboy had and gold boots over leotards?

The harts are relaxing on the deck but they're not dressed for the pool. What kind of tan...

They are still talking. about how the thieves might have gotten into the cabins.

Jennifer is like - they came through the porthole. They can't come through the keyhole or up the drain...

"The other two would be easier" I don't know...not if you're a world class gymnast.

The insurance guy comes over and hatches a plan - he wants Jennifer to wear a replica of the necklace that the couple has already stolen from the Desirée - see what happens kind of thing.

And now we've made it to my favorite scene. Jennifer is in the shower and she does NOT want to shower alone.

Jennifer: Darling, it's wet in here. Jonathan: Do you want your raincoat? Jennifer: There's not even a lifeguard on duty! Jonathan: Don't go in the deep end. Jennifer: *screams mildly* Ahh, there's a shark's fin. Do you think it's a great white? Jonathan: Don't worry, darling, if you don't bother him he won't bother you. Jennifer: Well maybe this is a job for the captain! Jonathan: I think it's more a job for the first mate (gets into the shower and closes the curtain) Jennifer: Hi sailor. Aren't you out of uniform?

Back in the dining/bar area Jennifer is wearing the replica necklace and Patrick notices right away.

Patrick excuses himself and the insurance guy follows him.

Max follows the guy following Patrick, but his lady-friend kind of delays him for a few minutes.

Patrick goes to check his little hidey hole for the necklace and of course it's there!

But then insurance guy smacks him on the head and takes it. double cross. after double cross.

Max and the insurance guy come back into the bar, but Patrick is still missing.

Insurance guy says Patrick gave him the slip but Patrick shows up looking beat to hell. He wants his necklace - he thinks Jonathan hit him and took it.

Patrick says he has a gun pointed at jennifer and demands Jonathan's wallet, which of course gives away their identity.

Patrick still thinks they have the necklace - they don't and his wife confirms they haven't left the table all night.

The four of them go on walkabout through the ship, I guess to find the necklace. Max follows...

They end up in the engine room - Patrick STILL thinks they have the necklace.

Max shows up with a pipe and puts it in Patrick's back like a gun. Jonathan grabs Patrick's actual gun and Pat finally finally believes the Harts don't have his stupid necklace.

Insurance guy shows up with his own gun and takes the gun jonathan took from patrick. another double cross. Is this a triple cross?

insurance guy wants to steal the necklace himself and kill all of them. so he can retire.

enter big fight scene and chase through the engine room.

Following the gymnast, Jennifer falls in a hole and she's hanging from a rope over pitch black. I guess it's the belly of the ship? It can't be water. The gymnast tells Jennifer to hold on - she's going to scale down to save Jennifer.

Jonathan also comes to her rescue, after he subdued the baddies of course.

In the end, Max came clean to his lady-friend that he's not a wealthy italian but she loves him anyway.

Jonathan remarks that they may have to face the reality that Max may leave the nest some day. Awww.

Okay now here's Marley's theories. Trigger warning: This mostly contains very unpleasant info such as SA. So please don't continue reading if it makes you uncomfortable.

Marley was a common target for sexual harassment and assault both in and outside school when she and Ian were growing up. Her first case was from a source that no one should have to expect: her father. When Marley was 7 her mom suddenly divorced her mother without telling her why and never understood why she had to have supervised visits with her dad. Till he picked her up from school without her mom knowing. He... said things to her and made her do things that made her scared and feel gross. She felt so ashamed that she didn't tell her mom till her was in middle. By then her father was in jail for other reasons and wasn't a thing to fear. But then it started happening in school, as MD was one of those early bloomers. Boys would pat her ass as they walked by our reach over her from behind the grind against her, little things that could be played off as "accidents". And when reported, no one believed her. Boys would call her fat and unattractive, why would they touch her? How gross. Ian was the only guy then who didn't treat her like that, so she clung to him for companionship and became dependent on him. He made her feel special and...didn't neccesarily *pressure* her to be intimate. But he was her boyfriend, that's what girlfriends do for their boyfriends.... Right?

Speaking of the cheating ex! Marley has only one thing to say about him. He's one of her biggest regrets. She regrets moving so fast and developing a relationship with him. They were best friends and he was the only guy who didn't "mistreat" her directly. Sure she wasn't always in the mood to be intimate but she owned him that much for wanting her. So when Ian called to tell her he'd cheated, she iced him out. Packed everything he didn't take with him to school and shipped it out to him, changed the locks on the apartment door, sold any else she forgot to send to him or gifts he gave her. A complete purge, and the entire time she didn't cry. That is, till Shaun stopped by for a visit a week later. All he said was "I'm here for you," and the floodgates opened. To help her feel better, Shaun took her shopping, where she found the box dye brand she currently uses to dye her hair that signature pink ombre. The two spent the night bingeing Law & Order on the TV while Shaun did her hair.

She's a lot tougher now cuz of it though. Has some bad moments but she's working on herself. She's going to therapy and Shaun and her mom are her support system ❤️And of course, Jack too. When he comes into her life. Though he's being a little... troublesome at times. Marley-Deanne knows Jack isn't good for her. That he could end up making her relapse and turn into the girl she used to be when she was with Ian. Dependent and fragile. But something, or someone, is telling her to give him a chance. To let him in, to save him.

Just after her speech, the 82-year-old House Speaker sat at a white-clothed table in a small, ornate room off the House floor known as the Board of Education, a hidden chamber where former Democratic Speaker Sam Rayburn used to hole up and relax. Then-vice president Harry Truman was playing cards with Rayburn here in 1945 when he learned that FDR had died and he would become President. One wall Rayburn had painted with a Texas seal; on two others, Pelosi recently added her own touches: a painting of the Golden Gate Bridge, and a tribute to women’s suffrage.

Pelosi was contemplating the not-quite-end of the era and struggling to unwrap a package of chocolate-chip cookies. “What was important to me was how we did in the election, because we were on a bad path,” she told a small group of reporters. “Storming the Capitol, really? And the reaction of Republicans, not taking a stand? And I knew we could win.”

Her party had just lost the House, weeks after a crazed intruder broke into her California home and bludgeoned her husband with a hammer. But it hardly felt as if Pelosi was giving up in defeat. In an election that history and many forecasters predicted would deliver a Republican wave, Democrats surprisingly held their own. The resulting GOP majority will be a narrow one, with the Senate remaining in Democrats’ hands.

The Oct. 28 attack on Paul Pelosi, the Speaker’s husband of 59 years, influenced her decision to remain in Congress, but not in the way many people thought. “It was not, ‘Oh, well, since they did that, I can’t even think of something else,’” she says. “No, it had the opposite effect. I couldn’t give them that satisfaction.”

She did it knowing there might be a political cost, and indeed there was. Republicans gained 63 seats in the House in the 2010 midterm elections, an election in which Pelosi was a central figure. Republicans made her the subject of millions of dollars’ worth of attack ads across the country, capitalizing on their base’s visceral loathing of her and giving Peosi unusual prominence for a congressional leader.

But Pelosi believed in gaining power not for its own sake but in order to do something with it. Obamacare is part of a legacy that includes two decades of liberal policy victories, from allowing gay people to serve openly in the military to the historic climate investments of this year’s Inflation Reduction Act. “This is a very difficult job,” she told us. “You have to really know how to be a legislator.”

These legislative successes were all the more remarkable for the era in which they came. Faced with unrelenting Republican opposition, she held together the diverse Democratic caucus and drove a hard bargain in negotiations across the aisle. After Donald Trump became president, she led her party back to power, becoming Speaker for the second time in 2019 in the middle of a government shutdown over border-wall funding. Pelosi refused to budge, and Trump soon capitulated. She would go on to impeach him twice while simultaneously negotiating with his Administration to secure trillions in COVID-19 relief funding.

Pelosi rejects the notion that she bears any blame for the toxic state of politics. “I don’t take any responsibility for what the Republicans have done to the Congress. This is not about gridlock,” she says. “This isn’t about some sort of equivalence between Democrats and Republicans. They are anti-science, anti-government, and that’s where they are.”

Pelosi never groomed a successor, something for which she was often criticized. Ambitious Democrats languished for decades waiting for an opening in House leadership. She has often expressed the view that power is never given but must be taken by those who seek it. “I didn’t think that was the right approach, to anoint somebody,” she told us Thursday. “It’s really important for people to have the legitimacy that they were chosen by the members.”

A free-for-all appears unlikely. Pelosi’s longtime deputy Steny Hoyer, a fellow Marylander who has known her since they worked for the same Senator in 1963, announced Thursday that he would also stay in Congress but not in leadership. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York, the 52-year-old chair of the Democratic caucus, appears almost certain to win the minority leader position in the Democratic leadership elections scheduled for Nov. 30, becoming the first Black man to lead a party in Congress. The first woman Speaker, in passing the torch, will make history once again.

Pelosi intends to spend the next two years in valedictory mode. “My life ahead is full of thank-yous,” she says, to her constituents and all the others who have supported her over the years. She does not plan to serve on any committees and she does not want to serve as a sort of shadow speaker from the sidelines. “Thanksgiving is coming,” she says. “I have no intention of being the mother-in-law in the kitchen saying, ‘My son doesn’t like the stuffing that way, this is the way we make it in our family.’ They will have their vision. They will have their plan. It’s up to the caucus to decide which way they want to go.”

I stopped being friends with Kim a long time ago because she left me at a party and I blacked out and woke up alone. The next day scared me.

That’s so creepy because I became friends with him in middle school and I felt like we never had any problems so her behavior was really out of left field for me and a lot more aggressive than necessary just because I was confused

And I remember another time hanging out with someone and I didn’t ask where we were going and we they drove me to someone’s house that I didn’t get along with and I went and I think it might’ve been Kim too and I remember getting upset because I felt like we had to have known or something

She has creepy ugly beady eyes and a weird nose and ugly smile and her body is now disgusting and had kids with strangers in an attempt to protect herself

After my baby died I don’t think anyone can use pregnancy or kids as protection anymore

You should do whatever you need to make yourself feel better. Be whoever you want to be, put away whatever you need to put away, make whatever space you need to make. But from our perspective, you were strict. You were angry. You were harsh and scary.

And that will never change.

We can try to understand where you were coming from and what the intent was behind your words, but at the end of the day, you had the impact you did. You did that. You were scary. It's just the truth. And that sucks. And it's hard to hear that from your kids because you didn't want to be that. But you were. Own up to it.

You say you want to break out of just being mommy. And that is so fair. You are your own person and I fully always believed that. That doesn't change the fact that to us, you are mom. That, unfortunately, will never change. Because you are our mother. And because you are our mother, when you say the meanest shit followed by "only i will say this to you straight so i have to say it", we just sit and take it. Because you are our mother. When you say, "Deanne, if you wear makeup you'll be able to get a boyfriend easier", I laugh it off because you are our mother. When you make homophobic comments, I bury my anger deep down inside of me because you are our mother.

So don't think it was a one-way sacrifice. There are a lot of things we let go because you are our mother. Don't think you gave up your entire life for us and now what. Because I give up part of me too. I wake up every day ready to carve out a little piece of my soul and set it aside, just to feel like I can face you.

Your words have an impact. And every time I try to tell you how they impacted us, every time I try to explain what it felt like growing up in this household, I feel guilty for saying out loud. I feel guilty for trying to express my frustration, trying to be understood. You said you were never understood by Daddy, and that it made you really sad. Well I will never be understood by you, and that breaks my heart just as much.

I already posted Daniel earlier but I figured i'd post the rest of his family too.

Daniel and Deanne met eachother in college. They remained friends for years before finally falling in love and getting married. They even had a daughter, whom they named Daisy. They were a happy family of 3 until one day, Deanne got an offer.

Deanne was an actress back in highschool and she had always dreamt of becoming a real actress someday. However, once she became an adult, she quickly realized that her dream was simply just that, a dream. Until one day, she was scouted out by an acting agency. She still did community theater every now and then and in the end, it paid off. She was asked to act in a movie and they promised to pay her a hefty amount of cash. Daniel encouraged her to do this. He loved his wife and wanted to see her succeed.

Throughout the movie's production, Daniel supported his wife through the process. Daniel even went to see the movie's first showing when it dropped. Daniel and Deanne were ecstatic and Deeane's popularity soared. Sadly, Deanne let the fame get to her head.

Not long after her popularity skyrocketed, she left her family, never to be seen again. She divorced Daniel and Daniel got custody of Daisy. Deanne said she was "starting a new chapter in her life" and needed a "clean slate". Daniel argued that her daughter should be her main priority, but Deanne just wouldn't listen. Saying things like "what about my life?". The divorce was fairly nasty, and Daniel hasn't spoken to Deanne since then.

That was 3 years ago. Deanne is now rumored to be dating one of the other actors in her newest film. She's not made a name for herself and she's even pretty rich now. Daniel on the other hand is fighting everyday to give his daughter the best life he can so that despite not having a mother, she can still be happy and grow up right.

Daisy is literally just the cutest damn thing i've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love sims 4 infants and toddlers they're so adorable.

Watch With Me: Hart to Hart 1x06

Episode Title: You Made Me Kill You

Original Airdate: October 23, 1979

Why this one? Every episode about a Hart stalker will be represented in this project. Maybe I have a kink, I don't know. But Peggy kicks off my favorite trend in this series.

Favorite quote:

Right out of the gate this episode went "no, really, we're taking this one to the limit." (incidentally, a later season episode with Mimi Rogers saw this one and went "hold my beer".)

Harts riding a tandem bike! While being stalked! And Jennifer's shorts were the inspiration of that song "we wear short shorts".

This nutter is calling a bunch, sending tons of flowers, and JOnathan is like "it's not illegal to send flowers" as if he wouldn't be tearing down the city if this was happening to Jennifer.

Now, just to make sure we aren't underestimating the wacky of this woman, we have a scene of her having a conversation with a voice recording of Jonathan as she does her makeup (poorly) and WIG to look like Jennifer.

And if that isn't enough...

Realizing she's not pulling of The Jennifer, Peggy decides to follow her around and try to get the deets on how Jennifer is How She Is. This means a shopping trip! The most important detail of this shopping trip is that it's the origin story for that FABULOUS fucking white hat. You'll know it when you see it.

I am obsessed with this boutique that plays disco music and has multicolored lights flashing.

Anyway, Peggy steals the lingerie Jennifer was getting because she's committed to being committed.

Jonathan. Some kind of business deal. With Tokyo or something.

He decides to send the Japanese business men to Las Vegas and meet Ann Margaret. Who reads the In Death books? Jonathan is basically Roarke.

But then OTHER tickets arrive from Tony's Tickets. A single ticket to a jazz concert. "One ticket? What would I do with one ticket to a jazz concert?"

In this episode, supposedly married-with-two-daughters Stanley accepts a single ticket to a jazz concert and bops.

Peggy is pretty mad so she calls Jennifer to holler at her. "I'll get you for this. I'll get you."

Deanne guesses that the crazy works at Hart Industries. Deanne is right.

So Peggy runs into Jennifer in the bathroom and wants to know where she gets her hair done (she does not say Barry's Hotheads, of whom she has been a client forEVER, but I digress) but all that is unimportant because this is a lük.

So anyway, Jennifer wants to make sure this nice Peggy accountant girl is coming to their HOUSE for a staff party. Check me rolling my eyes GUYS.

Peggy goes to see Tony, the ticket guy, to make a reservation for her and Jonathan at some resort place. Tony, as he's been instructed, calls Deanne who alerts Jonathan. Peggy suspects something is up so she stabs him with like...a letter opener.

It's just a flesh wound though.

Jonathan invites Tony to the staff party, which is apparently now open to everyone in the greater los angeles area.

Tony and Stanley check out the lady guests - they're super stealth about it - but don't recognize anyone.

They're just pretty, ok.

Tony has shrimp with Peggy, not recognizing her because he's fkn useless.

Stanley hits on some chick who mentions his wife and kids. He's NOT. MARRIEd.

Jonathan dances with Peggy. I guess she's not sketch if you haven't seen her sleeping with his picture but man. They're not great detectives.

But then Jonathan leaves Peggy for Jennifer (oh, that's not going to cause a psychotic break or anything).

oh no now Peggy sees them kiss. so she does what any not-even-a-little-bit-sane person does, goes up to the Hart bedroom.

She starts opening the doors in their massive goddamn closets.

"I have the sickening feeling she's right here under out roof." And Jonathan is like "If she is she's a great actress or crazy or both." Duh.

THEN AND THEN Stanley spills cocktail sauce on the outfit Jennifer said she would kill herself over if she spilled anything on it. Also a very sane reaction to a women who has 19 closets currently being rifled by peggy.

Jennifer stumbles on this Totally Normal situation, Peggy smacks her in the head and blows out the pilot light on the water heater (that's in the CLOSET?) to try to kill her with carbon monoxide.

although for me, the incredibly hard hit to the HEAD with the blunt object was probably more of an immediate threat.

Max is enjoying the party by dancing with young girls. Oh Max.

Because they can't be separated for more than a few minutes (d'awwww) Jonathan goes and finds his wife knocked tf out in his creepy closet with all the doors open.

"We'll find her, we'll find her." OK, jonathan, is it time to worry NOW?

The next day Jennifer is having some PTSD with not wanting to answer the phone. She's writing a story about her experience.

But she's going to carry on with her life, the idiot.

So she goes out to the post office by herself. But guess who is in the backseat!

What is with this chick and her teeny tiny knives?

Anyway, Jonathan is on his way home and sees Jennifer in the car with crazycakes and tries to follow them but this dumb 18 wheeler gets in his way.

So Peggy takes Jennifer back to her batcave of crazy where she strips (!) Jennifer to her slip and takes her clothes. She starts calling Jennifer "Peggy" and Jennifer is like "the FUCK is happening right now."

"You Peggy, have to die so Jonathan and I can live on forever...always."

She has Jennifer tied up with nylons but not very well because our girl Jennifer has been tied up a few times in her life and she slips those knots p quick and knocks Peggy down and does a runner.

Jennifer jumps out the window and races up the fire escape to the roof with Peggy in hot pursuit.

Jennifer's shoes are dog-show ugly in the action shots. But they look like regular buckle pumps up close.

Being a master of weird psychology, Jonathan calls Peggy "Jennifer" and tries to talk her into giving up the knife.

So Peggy snatches Jennifer by the hair.

Anyway, Peggy asks Jonathan to say he loves her. He does but then she starts screaming that he's a liar, she almost falls off the roof and "It's over, Peggy."

After all that trauma, the Harts go roller skating like whatever. Jennifer didn't nearly get deaded twice. trauma just rolls off them like water off a duck.

and they make out.

I'm going to skip "Murder Between Friends" and go straight to "Cop Out", which is important for several reasons, not the least of which is a riff of music Mark Snow recycled into the X-Files. It's also about prostitutes so good times.

A few distributors revealed on social media in August 2017 that they had not yet received the refunds LuLaRoe had promised them. The changes to LuLaRoe’s return policy, which it had previously referred to as a “waiver,” were abruptly ended in September.”Distributors now receive only 90% of the cost and are responsible for shipping and handling, in addition to other more stringent requirements. In 2021, LuLaRoe got an F rating from the Better Business Agency; Its rating had increased to C as of May 2022. The new policy sparked a backlash on social media and a petition to keep the old policies for distributors who were about to quit their jobs.

The fundamental items of LuLaRoe’s TC2 leggings are dresses, shirts, and stockings with stunning designs. Merchants of LuLaRoe approach various styles and sizes, yet they can’t choose specific examples. Distributors say that some patterns, or “unicorns,” are easier to sell than others.

The garments are produced in Asian and Central American factories by MyDyer, a Los Angeles-based apparel company that also produces for other retailers.
