Last film/show: abbott elementary. been struggling with watching just about anything these days, and have only just started the third season

Sweet/savoury/spicy: can’t pick one. love sweet, but it has to come with savoury, and vice versa

Relationship status: single, and at this point, preferring to keep it that way.

Current obsession: i think this is meant in a positive way, but i don’t really have those right now (aside from skam duh). i’ve been obsessing over the air pressure in my tires, getting the dogs’ medication doses correct, how ignorant and harmful people are being about airborne, deadly viruses

Last book: currently reading see you yesterday by rachel lynn solomon, but the last book i finished was spinning by tillie walden

Looking forward to: two full days off of work starting tomorrow!

SKAM S3EP1 2.10.2016 - 7.10.2016

I love this shot right here. I feel for Isak so much. Right from the start we see how much he's struggling with himself and I love how they showed that. It's so brief but it says so much. Damn Tarjei and his ability to say tons with just his body language. And you see that in the next clip as well. His face does a lot. It's hilarious that Linn and Eskild simply barge in and jump onto Isak's bed.

Aww our first look. I just got the biggest smile seeing Even. Bless him. (Also cried a little thinking about what's to come. Why is it suddenly so overwhelming? Just had a thought that this is the beginning of a lot. 2017 was not a great year for me and Skam helped.) And then Even caught Isak looking and Isak remembered he shouldn't be staring at a boy like that gahhh

Sana is judging Isak so hard right now. Poor boy got no idea what's coming.

Isak is so quick to look away.  Isak noping so fast out of the love exercise and walking into walls 😆 I wonder if Even went out looking for Isak or he coincidentally found him in the bathroom. Whatever it was, I'm so glad we got to witness Even going all in with the paper towels. I feel like he panicked and just kept pulling them out.  Oh there's this one video edit I love where when he says "Did you also need paper towels" his voice gets distorted.  (I can't find the video so if anybody can help me out, I want to link to it) We obviously see Isak noticing Even because we're in his pov but it was also obvious that Even noticed and was nervous around Isak. Henrik really nailed the looks he gave Isak. That bench scene is excellent. You can really see that Even was desperate to talk to Isak. They stumble their way through small talk and then Emma arrives making the situation awkward. All three of them were probably disappointed. That "threeway!" at the end of the credits is very appropriate.

19. What’s your favorite character headcanon?

I have quite a few and I’m sorry if you feel like I’ve talked about them before, but no way I can only do one. xD

Isak knows how to cook and knows how to take care of himself. He’s lived in a home with a sick mother and an absent dad, he’s had to learn. Doesn’t mean that he’s a great cook, he knows how to do some basic dishes and can be pretty creative with knækbrød, but he’s not creative in a kitchen. He sticks to the recipe if he’s trying something new. 

Even on the other hand looks at a recipe, thinks ‘that’s way to little garlic - only one clove what are you talking about’ or ‘that cake definitely needs more cocoa than THAT’ and he likes to experiment. 

Living together was a bit rough at first. It was the first time Even wasn’t living with his parents and he didn’t REALIZE just how much work it is living on their own. So Isak got annoyed when he’d had to remind Even about doing the dishes or picking up the wet towels from the floor or getting the clothes from the dryer and Even would get annoyed with Isak acting like a parent and how it was harder for him to sleep at night when Isak couldn’t sleep. But living together easily made up for it. Waking up next to each other each morning? Having lazy morning sex and afternoon sex and after dinner sex? Cuddling in front of the tv? Being able to touch whenever they feel like it? Sharing showers and food, doing the dishes and grocery shopping together? Definitely worth it. (also they both chill out after a while, when they get more used to living together)

Isak’s dad is just so happy to meet Even for the first time when Isak finally gives in to the myriad of texts and calls and invites him for dinner. He loves Even and that makes it a bit easier for Isak to forgive his dad (at least a little bit) and make room for him in his life again.

Isak and Even doesn’t fight often. They get annoyed with each other, for sure, but they’ve learned very early on how important it is to talk about the things that’s bothering them. 

Even still feels bad about how he hurt Isak in the beginning. How he hurt Sonja. And sometimes when he’s low he’ll torture himself with thinking about it and Isak has to remind him that he forgave him ages ago, and that it doesn’t matter now, not when Isak knows that Even would never do it to him again (Even hopes with everything he’s got that he’ll never do that to Isak again).

Okay, I’m gonna stop myself here, I could go on all day and this is getting long enough as is. xD

Omg! That post about relationships. I was thinking it the other day too. I was thinking about how much i love Isak and even's story but when i think of anything like that applied to me, i just can't compute it.

SKAM S3EP3 - part 2 17.10.16 - 21.10.2021 (I had a busy week so I'm late with these)

Those poor books. Isak! He's such a disaster. And of course we have the locker that reflected his emotions and state of being.

Sad boy.

I'm not gonna comment much on Isak putting on the charm again for Emma. I just hate that he forces himself to do that. It's so tiring to pretend. And it wasn't fair to her.

Vilde: The revue party has a neon theme. Weeee. Do you have any party accessories? Isak: No Vilde: I'll take care of it 😁😁

Vilde, Isak did not even want to host. Of course he's not gonna have party accessories.

Gosh this scene where Isak is actively trying to show he is not down with anything GAY. And then Jonas says this and I love him for saying this but it's not like he hasn't said things himself that was microagressive (is this a word 🤷🏽‍♀️). And Isak observed those micro-aggressions and those kind of things even small adds to all the other things he has heard. A lot of people think it's no big deal, that it's not harmful but we don't know what sticks with people. One tiny throwaway thing you say could be something someone else thinks about over and over. I know that has happened to me.

Arghh and then Even comes by with the hat, reads Isak's face and lies about where he left it. My boy got Isak's back. But we know Jonas knows Isak didn't leave it in the canteen on Friday.

Why didn't he invite the boys? Was it because it was a revue thing? Or more likely he was anticipating Even showing up and was taking all precautions to avoid his two worlds from colliding.

Fredag!  Fuck I love Even.  There is so much to say about this scene. The way they looked at each other from across the room and you can see Isak THINKING. Then gulping down beer before kissing Emma. Even just had to break up the make out session. Isak tried to ignore him (last Friday was painful so I don't blame him)  And the moment when Even says it was generalising to say gay people are funny Isak pays very close attention. Fuck this show. I love it so much, sorry for the ranting.  And then CALL YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!! I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said about this iconic scene. Gahh

And then the KITCHEN SCENE!! Even testing the waters and actually going in for a kiss. My god. That must have been so scary. For both of them.

Oh there's this one artwork of half of their faces and Isak has the stripe on his face. It appeared in s4. This artwork on instagram! I had to google it and looked through a bunch of sites before I found it on this tumblr post.

saturday: what gets you excited whilst writing?

i think a lot gets me excited while writing. a good plot coming together. connecting things i didn’t think to connect before. writing small, self-indulgent details no one’ll probably notice (but maybe there is that one person that does and that always feels amazing) but that i love to just. throw in there. writing a line of either prose or dialogue that catches me off guard!! that gets me excited, because sometimes after i finish a work i’m always like, “do i even have anything left to say”, and when it turns out i do, it always feels great. in general a lot gets me excited about writing tbh, but mostly the prospect of sharing my writing and getting to hear that someone felt a connection to it. 

i like to say i write for myself a lot, but the truth is there’s always an audience in mind when i write, too, and it’s different every time. i think i may just be tired of the hopeless, sad endings we see so often. most of the time i aim to write happy things, with happy endings, because that’s just something i want people to be able to consume, too. i also know what it’s like to want something from the media/content you consume so badly and seeing the writers just, like, not do that, despite the sheer amount of love and support they receive, so in my head i just get really excited to just. deliver what an audience might want, even if it’s just in the fanfiction realm fjsadlkf. 

(it’s probably why i did so many polls back in the day about what my followers wanted to read tbh. because of that sideways and slantways happened, tmtts came about, the stardust au too, even yawfmtch, as self-indulgent as it was, was voted by followers because they wanted a story about angst with a happy ending fjdaskl)

[FIC] “tell me in a whisper”

 Isak runs a hand through his hair for the third time in less than that many minutes, and Even wonders if it's time to intervene yet. Isak doesn't like being interrupted when he's in the study zone, and Even gets that. He doesn't like it either. And he also understands that sometimes being a little frustrated is just part of that and he can't actually swoop in and make it all go away for Isak every time something doesn't immediately work out the way he wants it. Running against walls and finding different ways to deal with hurdles than the ones you thought would do the trick is all part of the process. Of learning. Growing.

 But Isak's been grumpily quiet and tense for almost an hour know and Even's pretty sure that at this point he's just torturing himself. Going too far into the frustration isn't productive either, it just gets you stuck staring at that wall you can't seem to outmanoeuvre.

 And because Isak isn't very good at admitting when he's reached the end of his rope (for now), Even likes to remind him that not everything needs to be achieved in one swoop without any detours. Isak knows that, of course, and he'd be the first to point it out if a friend came to him with such worries, but he somehow really struggles with following that advice for himself.
