I think one thing is to be a cat/dog person but have neither or the opposite... than actually owning a dog or cat. I have seen a lot of youtube videos of Americans that let their dog poop in the yard, and I'm very puzzled by it. I get that it might be convinient to just let the dogs go in your garden instead of taking a walk with them, but then there is shit there?? Where you might want to lay in the grass? and it stinky if you don't pick it up?

I don't know anyone who does that in my country, so I was wondering if it's a cultural thing? Or a youtuber thing?
