Doris, hi!
How have you been? This is William, a Slytherin prefect. I know your brother but I think we've never been formally introduced? Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery! I know you weren't feeling well last week so I just want to make sure everything is alright!
On a side note, my friends and I are having a short Summoner's Court tournament today. We always welcome new and old players! No pressure to come, of course, but it's such a warm sunny day today! Thought I'd extend the invitation, get that vitamin D in your system to combat the sickness!
With best regards, William Abbott ☀️
Will, hi!
I hope I can call you that. How are you? And yes, I've heard about you from my brother. Not much, though, mostly that you're a great player. But I'm sure he didn't lie about that!
Thank you dearly for the kind words, too. I'm feeling much better now! Even if there's still a few days before the full recovery. How are you, though? I surely wish that you're feeling healthier than me. After all, we can't lose our greatest Seeker!
And oh, Merlin! Thank you so much for the invitation! It really sound exciting. And I will make sure to remember and think this over. But... who am I fooling. I can't wait to see it happen. See you soon, then, William!
Sending love,
Doris Hecat

The day of the meeting with Roy and Doris had finally arrived. Gwen bounced up and down the road towards Hogsmeade. Pascal was literally dazzled by her good spirits. It was visibly infectious as the Slytherin also wore a slight smile on his lips as they crossed the bridge into the village.
"Ohhhh I can hardly wait. Do you know if they like sweets? Maybe I should have brought a little something else. What if they don't like me?" asked Gwen, switching back and forth between euphoria and depression. Pascal put his hand on his sister's head reassuringly.
"Calm down, Gwendoly. Just be yourself and everything will be fine. Trust me," he gave her a gentle squeeze. Gwen's emotions were sometimes a curse and a blessing for the Slytherin, but he knew how to bring her back down to earth. In front of the Three Broomsticks, he could see two figures who looked like they were waiting for someone. On closer inspection, he saw a boy and a girl.
"AH, I think those two are up ahead. Come on you little pest."
Roy was standing in front of the Three Broomsticks, fixing the sleeves of his shirt. His gaze was focused on Doris, despite him leaning his head forward. A smirk spread across his face at the way she kept walking away and to him.
“I’m sure they’ll be here soon, Dory. No need to stress over it.”
“Yes, well… What if they’re allergic to something and we didn’t know that? And they won’t be able to eat what I’ve prepared for them?” Doris exclaimed, still holding the bag full of muffins with pumpkin pie filling. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly in a nervous expression.
But as she turned towards Roy again, she could see the two teenagers walking in their direction. She stared at them for a moment, before leaning closer to the pink-haired boy. After doing so, the girl spoke up once more. This time her voice was much quieter than before. “Do you think it’s them?”

Captain/owls: you can always send an owl, but I may not answer immediately - you know, school is a priority and all that; but I'm always to receive more and to talk to you
Be nice: I'm not going to accept any disrespectful comments here, no matter what it is about - so, no queerphobia, transphobia, racism, disrespect regarding someone's religion and anything like this
Just ask: if you're not sure about something, really just ask. We're both probably going to overthink a lot, so don't worry about just asking me. You can always make sure in the message if I'm okay or not with doing something
nsfw content: I'm not sure what will happen, but since I'm older I don't want any minors in here. Unless you just need to talk OOC (my messages are open only for that). Also important, I'm not comfortable with writing extremely hardcore nsfw things. And I'll always check, and will expect that from you, about any triggers and things like that before starting anything!

The twins, sweet and might
I will ask with great delight,
What is it that you want to see
Under the big Christmas tree
Doris stared at Captain, as the owl landed on her arm. The girl stood still, stopping on her way through Forbidden Forest's path.
A smile formed on her face, as Doris saw the letter addressed to her and Roy. She gently took the envelope from his grip. The girl opened it, before focusing on the text.
Amazement quickly appeared in her eyes. At the same time, her smile only grew stronger. She knew that the best gift for her would be spending time with people closest to her heart. Or some cookies, definitely those related somehow to Graphorns.
"And annotated version of the 'Frankenstein' for our Reurey, hm? What do you think, Captain?" Doris asked the owl, still having her eyes on the parchment. "Maybe some new sunglasses, too. Since he has lost the last one he has owned."

A ghost of a young man glides down beside Doris in the middle of the Herbology class as Professor Garlick is showing the basics of taking care of a Wiggentree sapling. He doesn't seem to be as interested in how to properly repot the plant but he waits for the practical part of the lesson to begin before whispering to the Gryffindor:
"Did you know that just touching the tree grants you protection from any of the dark creatures lurking about?" he asks excitedly.
The ghost looks like the kind of person who has been holding onto some fun fact for quite a while and now is finally able to let it out, exhaling. Not that a ghost needs to breathe at all but the muscle memory must have persisted even after his demise.
The young man gives Doris a slight bow. "I don't mean to imply that you might not know that, I often see you in Herbology, but isn't it fascinating? My name is Richard, by the way."
Doris turns her head towards the sound. A warm smile spreads on her face, as she curtsies back. Her eyes, full of excitement, stayed on Richard’s face.
“Doris Hecat,” the blue-haired girl answers, but she almost immediately corrects herself. “I am Doris, and it’s lovely to meet you. And yes, my dad has already taught me a lot about it. He adores everything related to potion-making. It’s fascinating though, isn’t it? How useful such small rowan is…”
Doris glances at Professor Garlick once more. Certain that the woman is not saying anything important, the girl turns her body to Richard. At the same time, a loose part of her black bow lays on her shoulder. But she ignores it, just so she could pay all of her attention to his words. “Do you share that interest? Or is that a pure coincidence that you knew about it?

Doris, hi!
I know you're a metamorphmagus since I've seen you change things here and there about your appearance. But I've always been wondering, are there specific looks you like more than others? Like the colour of your hair you wear most, or eyes, or the position of your moles? I think that no matter what you do, you always look lovely!
— 🌸
Hey, dear!
There's not a lot of those traits, to be honest... But pink hair always make me feel more excited. Oh, and I loved that time where I had short, dark blond hair. I felt particularly pretty back then. But it's a bit shocking for me, since I'm not used to this length.
I've also rarely changed anything about my eyes. I prefer to keep them almost black. Since those are the same eyes that my mum has. I've never given my moles much of a thought, either. But I enjoy the fact that the ones on my cheeks are most noticeable.
From other things, I have a lot of fun with changing my eyebrows to those of a demiguise or adding Zouwu's fangs to my face. Thank you for the compliment, too!

Dear Doris & Roy, It seems that my sister has found something interesting in the library. A parchment with various questions on it. She doesn't seem to be the only one who has found such a piece of writing. We have also had the pleasure of one or two owls bringing us a letter with questions I thought it would be a nice pastime and an interesting opportunity. On that note: 2. Give them a warm drink of your choice, what would it be? Would their choice differ from yours? 18. What is their favourite hobby? Would they share it with someone they love? 28- what would they do if their favourite pet suddenly fell asleep on their lap? Best regards,
Pascal
Dear Pascal,
Thank you for sharing that parchment with us. I'm surprised that we've never even heard of it before.
2. From the two of us, only Doris is a sweet-tooth. So, she would certainly enjoy a pumpkin spice latte far more than I would. Personally, I would rather go for a Pu-erh Tea, or some fruit-flavoured one.
18. I truly enjoy reading a book, going on long walks to the Forbidden Forest and exploring new places. And doing all of it with a person I love sounds amazing. It would be a cute idea for a date, wouldn't it?
Doris: And I love taking care of different animals, creatures! Just maybe not cats... Spending my time with people I care about, and while I'm helping beasts sounds lovely, too. But of course not everyone's brave enough to get close to a Graphorn or a Testral.
28. We don't have a lot of small pets. But with those one, we would never move first. Especially to me, this would have brought a lot of comfort, and for Doris - a lot of joy. It's often times also one of the only times that either one of us is not rushing to do anything else. So we try to cherish them. Also Doris would most likely start petting them out of a simple habbit.
With love,
Roy H.

Dear Doris and Roy,
Do you guys have a special connection to your owl/owls? Did you get them before going to Hogwarts on your first year? Or maybe it's a family owl? How did you make a choice!
— An owl connoisseur
Hi! Thank you for the question <3
We have the same owl, which also used to be our family owl. It's so amazing, because it's like part of the home always being with us. You know? So yes, I would say we have a special connection with Captain. Roy confirms that, too!
We've never even thought of getting another one for us personally, to be honest. Anyway. I hope you'll be able to relax a bit today.

Question #5 in Lemon Balm! Does your OC have any recurring dreams? If so then do they attribute any meaning to these? Do they find themselves reliving previous experiences? Or witnessing visions of a possible future? Do they ever talk about their dreams to others?
Doris: Of future? No, but I dream a lot about the places I've seen. All of those breathtaking, mysterious corners of the Forbidden Forest. Though, they're usually not very long. And I don't think they're recurring, or have any deeper meaning. To be honest, I haven't even given it any thoughts until now! But I do adore analyzing dreams with others. Whether it be my own, or theirs.
Roy: No. I did have a few dreams... Or nightmares if you preferred to call it that. They just never were recurring, or precognitive dreams. Although, I must say that it is rather comforting, I was never able to predict my own future through the dreams. Also, most of them I would say have a meaning. However, it is not one I would like to share with other people.

Doris, mornin'!
Any chance you might be willing to lend me some notes from yesterday's theoretical Charms class? 🙏 I got so caught up in Professor Ronen's explanations that I didn't take a single note. Now I'm unsure what the assignment even is for today! Pretty please? I'll get you anything you want from the Honeydukes next time I'm there!
The student one table over from you, J. Lee
Good morning, J!
I have them, fortunately for you. And I'm more than happy to let you go over them yourself. You don't even need to get me anything. Although, I'm not saying that it wouldn't be sweet of you.
We can meet in the library or Great Hall, if you want. That way, I could also help you. You know, in case my writing wasn't clear enough. Or if something in general didn't have enough information.

Doris and Roy, who are your favourite teachers and why? Is it related to the classes they teach, their personalities, or the quality of their teaching? Also, extended family does not count for an answer :)
For me, it would be Professor Kogawa.
I admire her determination, and the way she is always able to inspire other students. She has taught me quite a lot throughout the years. Especially when it comes to Quidditch.
Secondly, I also find Professor Sharp to be an excellent teacher. However, what is most fascinating about his person for me is his bravery. I could spend hours listening to him explain all of the aspects of his previous, as well as the current one, job. At the very least the ones he is allowed to share with me.
Roy H.
I love going to Professor Ronen's classes! They are just so fun, and you never get bored. He's also incredibly creative. At least from what I've seen so far. But I adore talking to Professor Garlick, too! She's so sweet, and passionate. I really enjoy it, she makes caring for and learning about the plants so interesting.

Doris, hi! If I somebody were to send you flower for your birthday or any other date, which flowers would you like to get? Just a super hypothetical question 👀 Any favourites?
Well, hypothetically... I would choose plumbago auriculata. They're so pretty! I would love to get more of them. Particularly the blue ones, I can't really give a reason for that. They just seem so... dreamy?
Thank you for asking, too. It's truly a sweet gesture.

sweet cold || HL mcs
Tumblr media
3) Does your MC like the cold? Why or why not?
Roy hates it. If he could, he would never spend time outside. But he does it anyway for his twin sister. Knowing that it brings her joy, makes him much happy, too. The only other thing Roy likes about this cold is the possibility to wear coats.
On the other hand, Doris adores cold winter. Every winter sport that she can participate in, she has immediately joined. She would spend most of her free time outside. Even if that meant only drinking something at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop.

under the stars || Hecats
request: no
pairing: Doris Hecat & Roy Hecat
content: about 3k words, full moon, mention of bleeding/injuries/bandages, most likely incorrect healing of wounds, let me know if I forgot to write something down
summary: It's March 25th, and the twins need to go through the full moon all alone. In Hogwarts during the 1890s, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was March twenty fifth, the sunset has practically ended. Cold air was hitting the twins’ faces, as Roy helped Doris walk up the stairs. He had an arm around her waist, and held her hand the entire way. His eyebrows were narrowed slightly with the way he could clearly see the tiredness on her face. Although, he was able to convince her not to carry the bag this time. So at least in this way all of it may have been easier for the girl.
Later on, the Hecat boy opened the door for her. He held it open, still making sure that his sister wouldn't fall. He followed her not long after, closing the door again. He also dropped the bag near them, and they both walked up to the bed. He took off Doris coat, putting hers and his own into the wardrobe which their parents have lifted once his sister joined him.
"Do you need anything for now?" He questioned, and glanced into her eyes. The pink-haired teenager watched the girl, who was sitting on the bed. He kneeled in front of her. His head was tilted, when he kept looking into Doris’ eyes. Roy couldn’t even hide his own worried expression.
She shook her head a bit. Yet, she kept on watching her brother. Part of her wanted to ask Roy to lay with her in his Animagus form. But she still wasn’t sure about it. And she also felt that him turning into a lynx would only mean her own transformation was coming closer. She didn’t want that, she would much rather stay there forever, and never experience this again. But she didn’t have a choice on this. She had to go through the full moon, and she will have to do the same next month.
Instead, Doris leaned her head against the wall. Her hands stayed on her own lap, as her gaze fell on them. She closed her eyes, and breathed out again. The ache of her head was growing stronger. And when the blue-haired teenager looked up, she saw the sky be as dark as it could be. But clouds were still moving in front of her eyes, covering the stars, and the moon itself.
"You should go, to transform alone. You know…" She whispered, grabbing her skirt in her own fists. She gazed at him for a moment, a worried expression appearing on her face. Her eyes looked much bigger, and much rounder now. The corners of her lips turned down, too.
Roy sighed, nodding his head. After that, he also focused on the moon hidden behind the clouds. As he kept standing near the girl, he leaned closer to her. He pressed a quick kiss to the top of her head. At the same time, he muttered a quick reassurance along with the ‘I love you’. Only then, did the teenager actually took a step back, and moved away from the bed.
Once he hid behind the wall, in one of the empty rooms, Hecat took off his clothes. He immediately put them away into a careful pile on the chair. He shook his head again, trying to relax. Yet, that didn’t seem to help with Doris’ transformation being so close to happening. Before he even did something, he stretched his body. He put both of his hands on his back, leaning in that direction too.
Then, the boy transformed into an animal. His bones cracked, and shortened during it. Fur slowly started to appear on his body. Whiskers grew from his face, as his entire facial and body features changed to those of a lynx. Once he was certain that nothing else had to be different, Roy stretched out his entire body. His front paws moved farther away from him.
At the same time, Doris was dragging out everything. She moved her legs to the side, and placed her feet on the ground. Her eyes became teary, as she started to take off her clothes. Her hands were shaking, yet she was still trying to keep herself calm. She also turned her back towards the windows of the building. Once she was naked, she threw her clothes back on the bed. The Hecat girl straightened her back, and moved her hand to the hair. Taking off the bow, she let the hair fall loose.
But as she turned towards the night sky, she already recognize the clear light of the moon. And then, she saw it. The pain of her body grew stronger, only spreading farther around it. Her pupils became bigger, covering almost the entire colour of her eye. The white sclera of them became bloody, as if the blood vessels of them burst. Now, all of it made her eyes seem much darker, much more blurry. Her skin became much paler, and her bones started to crack. Her teeth became longer and sharper, turning into fangs of a wolf. At the same time, she let out a groan of pain. Tears gathered in the corners of the girl’s eyes.
The Hecat boy stood in the middle of the way to another room. He stayed there for a moment longer, listening into the screams, howls, and cries of his sister. But as everything quietened, he walked closer to the main room. He stared at the werewolf sitting in the corner of the room. The bed was flipped to the side, Doris’ clothes were laying on the floor, and the table had a broken leg (again). Roy could even recognize the fresh claw marks on the walls.
Still as the lynx, he walked up closer to the creature. Even though he kept a safe distance, and moved slowly, he trusted the girl. As if right now it wasn’t an actual, dangerous werewolf in front of him. But his twin sister, who he has spent an entire life with. His own eyes were focused on hers. Yet, he was still watching her. He still watched out for her reactions, not wanting to scare her off. That would only be an unnecessary risk. And the boy didn’t plan on taking that risk, not right now.
His ears were pulled back, and his tail moved closer to the floor. The entire time, he placed his paws slowly on the ground. Just to be sure that no sound would be caused by it. Finally, he was right next to the girl. He sat on the ground, and only kept watching her. He knew that right now there was no way for him to get in contact with her. Only the actions they’re both doing.
But Doris growled at him. Her body was turned towards Roy’s. Yet, all she felt right now was anger. And she knew there was no reason to feel that. That it wasn’t his fault it happened, that he can’t take her pain away, or that he won’t magically make it all go away. He just can’t, but even then, Doris secretly didn’t want to believe it. That thought only made her emotions become more unreasonable, more unstable. It’s almost like she was getting more crazy with each second.
And as her brother moved closer to her, her own paw rose closer to him. Her claws pierce through his fur, his skin. Her claws caused blood to spill from Roy’s shoulder. She stared at it for a moment. Her annoyance was just as bad as before, and now she couldn’t even focus on anything other than the red liquid falling down to the floor. Deep down, she felt guilty for hurting the boy. She knew that it would most likely leave scarring, too.
Yet, the werewolf teenager didn’t move, when the other Hecat twin cleaned himself from the blood. She just watched him lick most of it away, and how he shook off the discomfort. Which he surely felt after she literally scratched him in the shoulder!
The teenager stumbled back, still in his Animagus form. His eyes stayed on Doris for a moment. He still let out a hiss, when the pain in his shoulder only grew stronger. After that, he turned his own head to the side, and started to clean up the blood from his fur. For the short moment he wasn’t even thinking about his sister. Despite the fact that she was right next to him. But Roy knew that the smell can cause Doris react more to everything around her.
Even after the next few hours, when the full moon’s effects ended, dried blood were visible on his body. At least, though he no longer felt the pain. Which seemed to be the only good part about this. In that time, he also got some smaller scars on his muzzle. Or even on the rest of his body. However, the boy didn’t have time to clean himself up perfectly. Not with Doris being so close to him.
Right now, Hecat was laying near the flipped bed. His front paws were placed underneath his own head, and were crossed on the ground. He was already becoming tired after this entire time of being awake. Not counting the fact he also needed to keep Doris in check, and help her get rid of all of the energy before the morning. Just so hopefully she’d survive the rest of the day.
Once the full moon was practically over, Doris was still hiding in the corner of the room. In her form, she’s been curled into a ball with her head against the floor. But with nothing better to do, the prolonging time made her emotions overwhelm her. She struggled against her own power, and pressed her own claws against the skin of her thighs. Yet, she didn’t feel the pain, she didn’t feel the blood running down to the floor, she didn’t even feel the difference.
As the girl turned to the side, she saw the moon going away. She watched, as the sky was becoming lighter, and the way the sun was slowly rising. At the same time, she began to change back. She rolled to the side, and straightened back. Her focus completely moved away from her brother. Doris felt her bones crack again, and her skin colour returning to normal. She squeezed her eyes shut, as the pain only grew. It also spread throughout her entire body. Because of that, she didn’t hear Roy leave the room.
Meanwhile, Hecat boy walked back to the other room. He stretched out for the last time, and hid behind the wall. At the same time, he was standing right in front of his own clothes. Yet, he closed his eyes again, focusing on transforming back to his human form. The crack of his bones was heard all around the room, before he was able to stand back up. Finally, his body was also the same length as before. And then, he also felt the coldness of the house they were in. After all, it was still pretty early in the spring.
Roy glanced to the side, and focused his gaze on the wound on his shoulder. He moved to the side, and actually cleaned it up with water. He disinfected it, before putting a bandage over it. Right after doing so, he also put on his clothes. Yet, his movements were much slower. His entire body was aching, as he tried to push through it. Deep down, he knew that Doris was going through something much, much worse than him. Because of that, the dark-eyed teenager didn’t even want to let himself get drawn by this pain.
When the boy felt more warmth, he left the room. He leaned against the wall, focusing his hearing on what was happening. For some time he could still hear some movement. But after a while, everything quietened down. So he could only suspect that the transformation was over. The pink-haired teenager walked into the room, and kept watching Doris as she sat on the bed.
Earlier, the blue-haired girl was laying on the ground. She was already in her human form. But the pain didn’t subside at all, at the same time she stared at the dried blood on her body. After a moment, she stood back up. She carefully leaned over the bed for her clothes. Then, Doris put them on to cover herself up. Once she moved the bed, the girl sat on it carefully. A short sob left her lips, when the fabric brushed against her injuries. Only causing her to feel more pain, and to hope that her clothes won’t get extremely dirty from the blood.
Once her brother walked into the room, the Hecat girl focused her eyes on him. For a second, she didn’t say anything. Yet, she could still tell how tired the other teenager was, and she could see the tiny scars on his face. And the… Oh Merlin, and the huge one going right across his shoulder! The one, and not the only one, she has caused. How could she do that? How could he still want to go through this each month? Doris couldn’t believe in any of those things. She felt horrible for every thing she has done so far for the boy, and for the way he was never angry at her.
“Roy, I’m so… I’m so sorry, it looks… I’m sorry.” She mumbled, staring at him the entire time. Her heart beat faster, and her eyes didn’t move away from his wound. Tears were still visible in them, as quilt washed all over her face. But the comforting smile of Roy actually made her feel a bit better. Even if she knew that this was, and probably will be, happening every time.
The other Hecat twin shook his head. He grabbed the bag with first-aid kit and some healing vials, before walking up to her. He sat on the bed next to the girl. He gave her the Wiggenweld Potion, and focused on other wounds at the same time. When he opened the bag, Roy realized he completely forgot about the Essence of Dittany. And there was also no vials from the last full moons. He let out a sigh, trying not to get irritated by this.
“I know you did not mean to… Can you show me your thigh?” He whispered with his eyes focused on Doris’ face. He saw her nod, as she also moved the fabric of her skirt away. The pink-haired boy started to clean her wound. His touch was still as soft as it was possible. Once there was no blood on the girl’s skin, he also disinfected it. Right after this he bandaged the wound.
Roy repeated the same thing on her arm. His eyes slowly moved back to hers. After a moment or so, he was finally over with cleaning her wounds. At least, in the way that he was able to. He put the rest of the things into the bag, closing it again. Yet, he didn’t move from the bed, and stayed near his sister the entire time. Hecat felt as she leaned against him, and saw her closing her own eyes. “Do you feel pain anywhere else?”
Doris held the vial with Wiggenweld for a moment. She watched Roy, before drinking it to the end. A grimace showed on her face shortly. The taste of it could’ve been better, and even with years of drinking it, she still hasn’t gotten used to that. Finally, the girl put down the empty vial on the floor. She stared at it, and at the bag for a while. The corners of her lips curled, when she saw the annoyance in Roy’s eyes. Though, she didn’t actually mind him not having anything more helpful.
After a second, she hissed feeling the boy’s movement. Even when he tried not to, it was uncomfortable for her. She glanced back at the bandage on her thigh. She still felt him focus on cleaning her arm, instead. Hecat girl let her head fall to the back. She stared at the roof with multiple wet stains, broken parts, and more wood. Nothing that could’ve make her think of anything other than the burning of her body.
“No, seems all…” She mumbled, as she turned more to the side. With closed eyes, she placed her cheek on the boy’s shoulder. She breathed out, trying to calm down. The tiredness only grew, as the sun was rising more, and more. Although, thanks to Roy she stood back up. Her body was already becoming numb from how hurt she was. But they still needed to get back to their dorm rooms.
Roy put the bag over his unharmed shoulder, still holding Doris by the waist. He waited for a moment, since he wanted to make sure that she’s standing on her own. He also let her fix her clothes. After that, he walked her towards the door. As he kept her close to him, the Hecat boy opened the door. His eyes moved back to her. He checked on her, before leaving the building.
“I got you. I’ll carry you in a moment.” He added, before closing the door. Once he did that, he put his arms underneath Doris’, and also under her knees. With a bit of struggle, he lifted her up. Only for a short moment, he closed his eyes. As if that would have helped him with getting rid of the pain in his other shoulder. Yet, he kept a gentle but secure grip of her the entire time.
Meanwhile, the blue-haired girl watched her brother. She had her arm wrapped around his own, as she tried to keep her body posture steady. She walked out of the room with him. The whole time, she was near him, right by the boy’s side. And when he started to carry her, Doris’ hand instinctively moved to his shoulder, and around his neck. But before she could touch his own wound, she corrected herself. So she wrapped the other arm around Roy’s torso.
“I could’ve walked, technically. And I will have to, anyway.” She whispered, before adding with a still tired expression. “But thank you.”
