I was looking through your character's tag and I saw that she has relationships ranging from 'very complicated' to 'fuck buddies and very uncomplicated' and I just want to know more about them. Specifically, why is her relationship with Raha complicated as opposed to Thancred where it's simple?

Oh I love this question. :D

The short answer is just because G'raha is in love with her and Thancred isn't.

There's never been so much as a hint of romantic feeling between her and Thancred, and they've both had their share of casual sex before, so it's very easy for them to just be FWB. That's not to say nothing's ever strained their friendship, between various traumatic events, one of them accidentally spending five bonus years in another world, etc etc, but I say it's simple because there's zero desire on either of their parts for it to be anything but platonic.

G'raha, on the other hand....... Ehryu really, really cares about him; he is one of her favorite people ever, and she is physically attracted to him, but she's grey-aro and if her feelings are romantic at all (maybe? if she squints hard enough?), it's not at all the same as what he feels for her.

So Ehryu thinks he deserves more than what she's willing and able to give him and doesn’t want to lead him on and hurt him, and for G'raha's part, he doesn't want to tie her down or guilt her into anything she doesn’t want. At the same time, it's very difficult for both of them to ignore that there's something there, and eventually (during 5.4) they do talk it out and come to a compromise that lets me be self-indulgent makes both of them happy. :')

feeling insane trying to compare skintones for ehryu

6.58 C3R11 (current) -> benchmark C3R11 -> benchmark C4R10

at night, my current skintone looks significantly warmer? whereas the adjusted one is darker but has the right tone... and the tone is more important to me tbh. it's harder to tell in the daytime because the sunlight is so different in the benchmark, but i think the same thing is happening.

then in these lightings my current skintone looks fine??? (also the AWFUL indoor lighting is SOOOOO much better 😭🙏💖)

i think the obvious answer is to just keep it the same stupid but the comparison from those first couple of shots is bothering me :((( i don't want to lose the cool grey tone

Does your OC enjoy creating things? Are they particularly artistic? Or do they prefer to focus upon creating things with a practical use? (Let's try that again...)

bard main!!! Ehryu's music definitely counts. she'll happily sing and play the songs that she learns from Jehantel (or anywhere else), but she loves writing her own songs even more. and even with songs she's learned elsewhere, i imagine improvisation and putting your own spin on old songs is super common among bards.

and she'd be wildly offended by any implication that there's anything lesser about that compared to "practical" things. she knows very well the positive impact music can have :)

NPC ask: Krile and Tataru!

well Ehryu and Tataru absolutely adore each other and always have, since the first day Ehryu walked into the Waking Sands and found Tataru singing to herself. she treasures everything Tataru has ever gifted her, and most definitely wore the Brioso gear to Ultima Thule specifically because it was important to her to have a piece of Tataru there at the end along with everyone else.

she's also like completely blind to Tataru's deviousness, but Tataru encourages that LMAO. she enjoys being treated like:

Ehryu isn't as close to Krile, but i'm looking forward to potentially changing that with Dawntrail. :'D

the Echo was really the only thing they ever had in common, is all? and Krile would have liked to bond over that, but Ehryu had some walls up after losing Minfilia as her Echo-buddy, and she and Krile never got many chances to spend time together anyway.

that does start to change in Endwalker. Krile has her whole Hydaelyn-possession ordeal, and then Ehryu is a fucking wreck after the Mothercrystal trial, and they manage to have a heart-to-heart about it all eventually. :')

it took this event dialogue to make me realize, but we had a canon example of using music to make people hallucinate ALL ALONG.

he doesn't expand on the How of it. he doesn't say it's through the echo. but would ANYBODY be surprised if the wandering minstrel DOES have the echo?

so i have what i call a Reverse Shadowbringers Modern AU, which is Ehryu getting mysteriously summoned to modern Earth and spending a good amount of time here before the Scions can track her down and follow, and it's so incredibly self-indugent and silly and fun

Ehryu becomes a massive rockstar and says the weirdest shit in interviews because she KNOWS that she should keep her past a secret but she's also not really 100% committed to it. like

interviewer: how do you make all these difficult guitar solos look so easy? 🙂

Ehryu: oh yeah i mean it's a lot easier when you don't even have to shoot a bow at the same time
