Bridget passou por coisas demais para ainda acreditar em magia, mas ela acreditava. Talvez por ser de uma cidade tão conhecida por seu misticismo como Nova Orleans, ela, mesmo tendo enfrentado preconceito e dor desde que se entendia por gente, ter visto o pior no mundo e ter chegado e se ferir fisicamente por conta de tudo que já tinha passado. Tinha uma coleção de baralhos de tarot que usava para visualização (ainda estava aprendendo a arte por trás), lia, não, devorava livros de fantasia e fazia resenhas online, além de querer instaurar essa paixão em outras pessoas. 

Então essa foi sua dor quando o livro lhe levou para longe. Ela estava indo dar uma aula baseando-se em um anime que havia pedido para seus alunos verem. Iria ser uma aula divertida, tinha preparado slides tão legais! Eles iriam discutir e conseguir imaginar tanto…

I don’t know what it says in the unfinished tale of Celeborn and Galadriel, but I headcanon that the MOMENT, the very SECOND that Thingol mentioned the Silmaril to Beren, Galadriel turned to Celeborn and said “Pack your shit we are OUT OF HERE.”

Like canonically she says she goes over the blue mountains before Nargathrond and Gondolin fall, which means she could be around for the whole Silmaril quest and even past the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, but I’m literally married to the idea of Galadriel wearing black and offering Melian condolences on the loss of her husband before Beren has even left on his quest.

Thingol getting increasingly pissed because he’s RIGHT THERE.

I just have trouble picturing Galadriel being like “oh yeah, I’m just gonna stick around while the king ties the fate of this supposed refuge to my uncle’s disaster rocks, I’m excited to relive the trauma of the last time this happened!”

Also, the ring of Barahir is the symbol of her father’s house, she knows Finrod said he was going to make a disastrous oath of his own one day that gets him killed… any chance she would see her brother’s ring on this man who just swore to accomplish an impossible task and NOT realize Thingol just inadvertently doomed her brother to die for a Silmaril? While she is still mourning her other two brothers who just died in the Bragollach?

᯽ When Thingol uses his wealth to spoil you endlessly, it’s always done with the intention of keeping in Doriath and at his side. To prevent you from turning your head to gaze at the slightest individual who attempts to make a mistake and pose as a suitor.

᯽ When you met, that’s how he reeled you in, with gifts by the bucket load. Showing off his wealth and impressing you with things you could have by staying with him. Your life would be better than any of the lives another could present.

᯽ He’s strategic about how and when he delivers his gifts. Not everything you ask for you gets; he would store gifts you beg for at the back of his mind when you decide to throw a tantrum and act out of turn. It keeps you in place and shows you that he never forgets and always remembers your interest.

᯽ He presents them whenever you are sulking to present himself as someone who cares and pushes aside the major conflict at hand. If you two were arguing about you wanting to roam the grounds on your own, he’ll present you with a jewellery set you were begging him for months ago. “See my dear, you believe that I don’t care about you, but if I can remember you wanted this months ago, doesn’t that mean I care?”

᯽ He always does this to keep you in line and at his side. It becomes substantially worse if you’re a mortal. Whatever your eyes fall on or the slightest mention of fancying something, it’s at your door before the day or week ends. With it, there’s always an attached note reminding you that he cares about you that’s why he’s always presenting you with gifts.

᯽ Of course, there are times when you would request something, and he would outright tell you that you must accompany him on a walk or have a meal with him if you want it. A bargain is always struck between you two. That’s the most you’ll ever see the King compromising with someone, and at the end of the day, it’s beneficial on his end more than yours.

᯽ Every year on your anniversary, he’ll spoil you by taking you to the place you both met and having an exquisite dinner and splendid gifts presented to show you that he has no issue with allowing you to leave the palace grounds.

᯽ His forms of gifts aren’t always materialistic but also verbal. While the King enjoys being praised and complimented, when it comes to his darling, he bends the knee for you and provides gifts in those aspects. “The most beautiful darling in all of the realm and Arda. The Lady Varda stars and creation could never compare to your beauty darling.”

᯽ He’ll give himself credit for having such a fantastic lover like yourself. “I did such a perfect job having a perfect little love for myself. You’re too perfect and precious to let go. I’m so glad that you’re mine.” And expect a little trinket after that compliment.

᯽ To top it off, you have received a necklace and bracelet that carries his name and sigil on them. He demands that you wear them at all times for people to get the idea that you are taken.
