originally this was pretty nice, but for some reason the app deleted like four capes of the drawing😩... So,this is what remains, and I doesnt have any intention of finished it😔👋.
Anyways here's Mae and Finno after a party in Tirion,in the good times.
A little headcanon that Elrond identified more as a Feanorian and a son/ward of Maglor. In the current events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, Elrond wears the feanorian star as a pendant, but under his clothes. He also has an old circlet dating back to the Years of the tree that was given to him by Maedhros, the center piece was a feanorian star with a red gem in the center.
"For Fëanor now began openly to speak words of rebellion against the Valar, crying aloud that he would depart from Valinor back to the world without, and would deliver the Noldor from thraldom, if they would follow him." — Silmarillion, C.7
I imagine Feanor running through Tirion shouting with a sign saying "THE END IS NEAR" or "THE VALAR ARE A LIE",That's just like him
The fun part of reading Lord of the Rings to a very inquisitive person is that I had to pause in the middle of Lothlorien and attempt to explain who Feanor is.
do you ever think about how fucked up some (most) family trees are in the silm (and lotr especially since it's a remnant) like.
finarfin is celeborn's father in law, and elladan, elrohir, and arwen's great-grandfather. the twins who do nothing all day but hunt orcs endangering the royal family (you go kids! die young and/or lose a hand and/or get tortured by orcs and/or by your own kin and/or), can claim that fëanor is their great-great-uncle or something? and wouldn't he be PROUD, and wouldn't he remember that their grandfather is eärendil, and how he's also, somehow, in addition to great-great-uncle, their adopted great-grandfather through his sons?
like. I don't think someone else but elladan, elrohir, and arwen could claim that family tree. fëanor, fingolfin, and finarfin, by either adoption or blood, or both.
and it only gets worse with aragorn and arwen's children, I mean, but I refuse to fry my brain further
Feanor and Silmarilli...the light captured inside gems is of tree origin so I wanted to draw it spread like branches ♥
(it was only a doodle where I tried that light-spreading idea. But my sis saw it, liked it(I guess?), redrawn anatomy.... and made Feanor so good-looking that I had to finish it :D )
Just a quick what I think the son's of Feanor did or excelled at pre-kinslaying and pre-silmarils.
. Maedhros was his father's heir and to me was really politically savvy and a diplomat, he was also well versed in arms and handling a sword.
. Maglor was a professional musician that taught music to younger elves on the side.
. Celegorm was one of most acomplished huntsman and survivalist, and his craft usually had him out in the wilderness most of the time.
. Caranthir was a well known fashion icon with a serious temper, but single handedly grew Valinor's fashion styles. Would dabble in sewing and embroidery, but kept pricking his hands and got mad about it. Essentially he's the "devil wears prada' of Valinor.
. Curufin was a well known weapons smith. (Smithing runs in the family!😂)
. I feel both Amrod and Amras were jokesters but also had gentle dispositions. They were a jack of all trades with the arts, especially painting and weaving (shout out to grandmother Miriel!)
