VILLA D’ESTE // Domenica scorsa ho approfittato della giornata dei musei gratuiti per andare a Tivoli e visitare le sue meravigliose ville. Le foto scattate durante quel giorno e che sono presenti in questo carousel ritraggono la meravigliosa Villa d’Este. Villa d’Este è uno dei simboli del Rinascimento italiano, dichiarato dall’UNESCO Patrimonio Mondiale dell’Umanità. Per realizzare Villa d’Este ci sono voluti all’incirca 20 anni a causa di numerosi problemi in corso d’opera. Fu voluta dal Cardinale Ippolito II d’Este, all’epoca storico governatore di Tivoli e figlio di Lucrezia Borgia, e commissionata all’ingegnoso architetto Pirro Logorio che diede via ai lavori verso il 1550. Un complesso che si estende per 4 ettari che comprende, oltre al palazzo residenziale, un giardino ornato da viali alberati e siepi, e da numerose fontane che a guardarle resterai incantato, proprio perché ritenute delle vere opere d’arte. Una piccola curiosità sull’acqua che zampilla nelle fontane di Villa d’Este: viene presa direttamente dal fiume Aniene attraverso un canale sotterraneo lungo 600 metri. Tivoli si trova a soli 30 minuti da Roma ed un piccolo comune con tantissime bellezze storiche da scoprire. Nei prossimi giorni ti porterò a scoprire altro su questo magnifico luogo.
