Half-Korean Mattsun is entering my domain.

His mom is half-Korean, and an expatriate (though high-end white collar worker) who came to work in Japan and married Mattsun's dad. Mattsun inherited his curly hair and tanned skin from his mom.

Even though they have Korean blood, they never watch any K-drama or listen to Kpop.

Mattsun's mom is good at English (obv due to the nature of her job) and his dad is good at it too. So their family became a sorta multi-language-y household, where both English, Korean, and Japanese are exchanged. Mattsun is fluent in English because of that, but he's most fluent in Japanese (Korean comes third).

Mattsun, Iwa, and Oikawa are fluent in English (they probably speak more than English and Japanese). Oikawa has a language ability (Japanese, Portuguese, English, Spanish), Iwa is half-Filipino and has Filipino American relatives (so he speaks Japanese, Filipino, some Chinese, English), even though his mom speaks only Japanese to him and his dad, and Mattsun's home uses a lot of languages. Hanamaki has no idea what's going on whenever these three speaks English, but he finds that they are very useful to travel with. He's proud because having 3 trilingual friends where trilingualism is uncommon is a pretty good feat.

void/my manifesting journey.

i have been in the manifesting comm for nearly 1.5 years and i switched up my whole life like LITERALLY. without discovering manifesting i probably would be not so happy with my life rn. i do recommend giving it a shot and also check out other blogs to help u. From what i can remember i used both LOAs (law of attraction and law of assumption) but i personally prefer law of assumption as its a lot more easier and we do it all the time. @/ meraskiii on ig provides detailed info of the law of assumption and tips as well so its essential to go check her out and other accs similar. okay i need to stop wafflin shit and actually get straight to the point.

so here are some stories of cases where i got results from manifesting:

sharper jawline - i was like a potato head when i was younger and i never really thought of like manifesting a sharp jawline but i was like ill give it a shot. this was at the very start of my journey and when i first discovered subliminals from a friend (LUVYU A) i listened to the sub for like ig 2 days and i woke up with a fatass improvent like deadass i texted A and was like "JESUS FUCK MY JAWLINE IS SHARP I COULD BUTCHER MEAT" prolly one of my best memories

flat stomach- with a filipino family comes f@tshaming. they were the main reason for my insecurity and they still do it today (unfortunately TT) so after manifesting a sharper jawline i decided to manifest a flatter stomach. it did happen ofc

minishifting- this was after 6 months of discovering shifting and i mixed up two methods and it succeeded. So like i got a clear quartz and placed it in between my forehead and a little more upwards (or in other words where your third eye would be) and counted to 100. after that i did breating excersises: breathe in 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, out 4 seconds and hold 4 seconds until i was relaxed. while doing that i affirmed that i was calm and safe. after that i just visualised the place where i would wake up in my DR. the place i would wake up in would be a field full of fireflies. and like not even 5 minutes later i felt GRASS and was lowkey starstuck but i remained calm. THEN I FELT LIKE A BUG LAND ON MY ARM AND IT WASNT LIKE A FIREFLY it felt like a normal housefly and i got scared and woke up. i decided to sleep afterwards.

my phone- so my old phone broke after like a month and it was rlly old (it was my aunts) and bc it was broken and my stupid ass decided to throw it around to see if it would fix itself (??) in the end it didnt ofc. so i decided to manifest a purple iphone 12 with unlimited data. guess what 3 weeks later, i walk out the shop with the same exactly a purple iphone 12 with unlimited data. i got rid of the phone due to personal reasons.

reacing the void state for the first time- i never intended to like go into the void state nor use the void state method to shift but i was reading @halokisses 's posts about the void and i decided to give it a shot for fun. i affirmed that i would be in the void in 1-3 minutes and it worked. i was like "woah wait a sec💀" and was fuckign astonished on how quick and easy it was. i was in it for like 5 minutes still shocked and i didnt know what to manifest so i made up my mind and manifested that i would have a sweet dessert the next day (this was on the night of the 28th) and fast forward to the next day iwas served choclate covered strawberries !!!

thats pretty much it lol i deffo recommend manifesting GOOD intentions for everyone!

My thoughts on Pandemic advertisements in the Philippines

Advertisement 1: BIDA solusyon sa COVID-19 by DOH

As the virus continuously spreads in the Philippines, The Department of Health (DOH) advertises solutions to lessen the spread rate of the covid-19 virus. The advertisement is on behalf of the Interagency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) with the coordination of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). The advertisement presented four solutions corresponding to the four-letter word "BIDA." The letter "B" means "Bawal walang mask," which translates to "not wearing a mask is prohibited"- this means that the audience is encouraged by the Department of Health (DOH) to wear a mask when going outside. The protocol was to prevent audiences from contracting or spreading possible diseases to others. The letter "I" means "I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas-hawak sa mga bagay," which can be translated to "sanitize your hands and avoid touching things." The information in the letter "I" informs the audience to constantly clean their hands and be extra cautious when coming in contact with objects. According to the article by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the covid-19-causing virus, SARS-CoV-2, can survive for different lengths of time on surfaces of any object. To prevent contracting covid-19 virus from SARS-CoV-2, an individual must kill it through sanitation before it enters the body. The letter "D" means "Dumistansiya ng isang metro," which translates to "maintain a distance of at least one meter" - this informs the public to stay away from the proximity of anyone in public to prevent unwanted transmission of the virus. The letter "A" means "Alamin ang totoong impormasyon," which translates to "know the legitimate information" - this suggests that the audience should be responsible when it comes to receiving pieces of information in the media as every piece of information about the virus and the pandemic plays a crucial role on how the world would behave.

The word "BIDA" is a Filipino word that means "hero" or "the protagonist." The advertisement was purposely created to encourage Filipinos to take part in the action to battle against the virus spreading across the country. The advertisement sparks the audience's "Bayanihan" attitude by calling everyone a hero to commence a collective action and inspiring every Filipino to follow the medical protocols of government health agencies. 

Advertisement 2:  Sama-sama sa Distansya by globeph

The effect of the covid-19 pandemic has changed the day-to-day living of individuals worldwide. The significant effect of the pandemic was the isolation of people, which the government-administered in response to preventing the further increase of patients with the virus. In connection with the events of the pandemic, the Globe, a telecommunication company, made an advertisement highlighting the situation of most Filipino during the surge of covid-19 virus. The advertisement starts with the message "Kailangan dating humidly" through a phone call which hints that there is a cause for why the two individuals should separate. Throughout the advertisement, the messages gave off a sad romantic vibe, a very attention-catching genre for teenagers. The message was later clarified that the two individuals must not get near each other because they are both close to each other - this means that staying isolated to love ones during the pandemic shows love and care to that person. The advertisement conveyed the message through the thought of love and care of audiences, thus, giving a heart-warming yet informative advertisement.

Furthermore, the Globe's advertisement also highlighted the use of the internet to stay connected with their family members and loved ones, encouraging Filipinos not to lose hope and that all of these hardships will someday be overcome. The company showed its sincere concern for those families who are not together physically with an ending note "Closer, Stronger, Together - Stay #SafeAtHome." To contribute to keeping Filipinos following the covid-19 isolation protocol, the Globe telecommunication company provided various promotions that help costumers to stay connected, especially during the times of pandemic. Based on the advertisement's content, it shows no signs of social media manipulation as it promotes positive yet engaging and informative advertisements. The advertisement captures the audience's attention because of its relativeness to the current situation.

Kim was born to a Filipino mother and a British father.

Moving on to my favorite song amongst every other song in the series, Grow. I think the easiest way to represent the meaning of this song is through reading these lines alone.

I've read many an interpretation of this song from other people, but the one that resonates with me the most, is that this song is about growing out of past trauma and allowing yourself to heal. In here, you're like a home with cracks on its wall from all the damage it went through over time.

Some parts of you are falling, and you know that. Yet, the message here is for you to let it fall, and watch as all the pain you've endured turn into something beautiful. Of course, you can't do that by pretending it never existed, no trauma doesn't work like that. Instead you acknowledge it, accept it's presence, and beam at yourself with pride as you one day watch it be flowers in your land, always yours but never just you.

Some of my favorite lyrics from the song is the "it was always holy line" as seen above and the lines below, because to me it means that you are worth being cared for. You were always precious. You just had to let yourself see it.

He’s not a university student. 

And if he is, he’s either completely brilliant or the laziest academic you’ve ever seen.

He shows up a few times a week with some variation of the same three friends: the one with strawberry coloured hair whose standing order is a white chocolate mocha with no espresso (which makes it a white hot chocolate, though you never correct him); the second a tall, dark-haired young man with a smooth voice and expressive eyebrows that betray his impassive stare, who usually orders just a medium latte made extra hot and who sips it over a long period of time, never asking for a refill even though you’d be happy to give him one on the house; and the third is Iwaizumi Hajime. 

You know Iwaizumi from school, he’s a student in the same Intro to Basic Human Anatomy course as you are, and you recognize him the first time he comes into the cafe you work in, a few weeks into the school year. He doesn’t introduce you to his friends, but you learn their names thanks to taking their orders enough times: white chocolate mocha (no mocha) for Makki, extra hot latte for Mattsun, small dark roast for Iwa.

And a caramel macchiato for Oikawa.

Oikawa is the aforementioned worst (possible) student in the world.

You know this because while he might show up with some or all of the other three boys, he is the only one you’ve never seen crack a textbook while they sit at their table in the cafe. No, he generally is leaning back casually in his chair, talking for hours while the other boys work, even though they don’t seem to be paying much (if any) attention to him. 

So either he is the type of smart that means he doesn’t have to study, he’s the type of stupid who thinks he doesn’t need to, or he’s just not a student at all.

He doesn’t seem overly bothered by the fact that his friends aren’t paying attention to him, even when Mattsun puts his headphones in right next to him, even when Makki slumps down in his seat to hide (poorly) his face from his friend. Iwa seems to be the one most bothered by it though, and you overhear him threatening violence on more than one occasion if Oikawa doesn’t ‘shut the fuck up’ while he’s trying to study.

It all comes to a head right around midterm season. The four boys are at their usual table, and have been for most of the day, and you overhear an outburst. You peek you head around the espresso machine to catch a glimpse, and find Oikawa rubbing his forehead tenderly, Iwaizumi clutching a heavy kinesiology textbook in his hands which (you can only assume) he just used to bludgeon him.

“You’re so mean, Iwa!” Oikawa whines, nursing his wound. “Who else am I supposed to talk to?” 

“Literally anyone else! Unless you want me to fail this midterm and flunk the course and you can explain to my nanay why I have to repeat it next summer and also pay the tuition fees.”

Oikawa pouts, standing up from the table dramatically with his empty macchiato glass and stalking towards the counter.

Towards you.

And that’s where it all starts.

oikawa was mumbling how he couldn't understand while the other two were snickering when they saw your facade kind of crumble. they could see a prank when it happens.

"wala akong sinabing ganon, hoy!"

"ikaw nga, inuulam mo yung kalapati eh!" you said, your eyebrows shooting up as you tried to look annoyed as possible.

iwa, now realizing, furrowed his brows and reached his hand to fling at your forehead. "anong, di ako kumakain ng kalapati, siraulo."

Iwa stays in Santa Barbara with his Filipino relatives when he goes to California, and speaks both English and Spanish - which he learnt to be able to communicate with Oikawa once he played for Argentina.

When Oikawa was invited to Iwa's home in Santa Barbara as a fiancé, he spoke fluent Spanish and was able to communicate with Iwa's relatives. They were skeptical of him at first, but found him pleasant because of his humor and language skills, which they did not see in any girl Iwa has dated.

Iwa's grandmother is Chinese-Filipino, and his mother is Filipino while his dad is Japanese, so he was able to juggle between 3 languages.
