Reminiscing about FF Crystal Chronicles and how adorable of a game it is. It has such a good calming vibe...
Back then, it was the first game I was able to purchase by myself, with money I got from winning an art contest. Lots of good memories attached to this. Also the OST is objectively the best.

Wanna see a snippet of one of my WIPs?
"NO!"
Rae skidded to a stop, his eyes widened in shock when he heard the voice deeper in the cave. It sounded desperate, fearful even.
"Please!" The voice cried. "Don't hurt me, please!"
Rae's heart dropped, his mouth gaped in shock. He recognized that voice!
Gulru!
He sprinted further into the cave, his heart pounding in his ears. Gulru! Gulru was in danger! And he needed Rae's help.
"RAE!" Gulru's screams were closer as Rae continued his mad rush to the end. "Help me, Rae!"
"I'm coming, Gulru!" Rae cried back, even though he was sure that Gulru couldn't hear. He ran as fast as he could, his heart pounding and his face drenched in sweat from both the running and the fear. What were those Goblins doing to his boyfriend? Was Gulru okay?
If they hurt him in any way…
The screams had stopped, increasing Rae's fear as he hurried faster to the end of the cavern. He could only hope that Gulru was still alive.

found the concept art pages in world ultimania, interesting things ive gleaned from machine translation, ill take a closer look later
the original name for the yuke tribe was ‘highlander’
characters were intended to age visually throughout the years
there seems to have been a scrapped beast tribe (there’s drawings of cats, mice, rabbits and lizard people in classic ff job attire)
