Who did Glip and Eevee befriend in the art and tech spheres to be so untouchable ??? No doubt those in the industry that protect them sympathize with predators at best

Art spheres no. Glip used to be this way but fell out of grace with the big fluff logs dropped.

Tech and indie game communities however, are still partial to protecting Eevee because she plays up the 'It's all kiwifarms & transphobia' angle really well and wasn't ever actually married to Marl - loosening the impact of the BF logs on her reputation compared to Glip.

I'll use cohost as an example, because it's pretty blatant there.

Just look at the comments on this post on her cohost, and how she talks about her detractors.

....The post she's talking about, by the way, is only about Lain and Big Fluff. The 2 children Marl sexually abused. It's true that both kids posted on kiwifarms, but it's extremely manipulatively dishonest to refer to them both as just KF users.

Cohost btw, seems to be in her pocket. The one time I'm aware that someone called Eevee out on something, they got banned from the platform entirely nearly instantly.

The original comment was on this post of Eevee's. Eevee edited it out, but the same comment was shared on lolcow and had a link in it. Here is the tweet the banned commenter linked to, and relevant screenshots. Guess she didn't want people seeing this. I wonder why?

It was this comment to Eevee that pushed Glip to double down on wishing Jollys suicide attempt was successful, looking at the timing of everything.

Twitter sucks, but if Cohost is willing to look the other way at abhorrent behavior like wishing that someone who attempted suicide twice was successful....so long as the person doing that said abhorrent behavior is Eevee...but quick to drop the hammer on those that lightly point out that said behavior is beyond fucked up - then cohost is rotten at the top and isn't worth using.

the evolution of lexy, from the original jam game (#1) to what she looks like now (#4)

(well actually she looks a bit more colorful now because i've changed the palette since i took this screenshot, but it's nice to have the comparison only be across shapes with the palette the same)

the #2 sprite was drawn shortly after i released the jam game and was just What She Looked Like for several years. i drew most of a whole sheet of various lexy forms based on that.

but eventually i thought about how i draw lexy (as in, non-pixellated), and how it doesn't really look like #2 at all, and how #2 doesn't really have a silhouette it's just kind of a Block, and what if i could do better, and i should at least give it a shot

and i came up with #3 and it was kinda dumpy but it was something and that was interesting

and after much tweaking i ended up with #4

and i was crestfallen

because it was so, so much obviously better than #2, and i knew in my heart immediately that i would have to scratch all my lexy sprites and do them all over again, and they are so time-consuming and it would set me back so far. like i don't want to spoil everything right off the bat but to give you some idea, the old lexy spritesheet is 2688×1040

but anyway i did that and the game looks ridiculously better now. which makes sense because i drew the original sprite like 2 years into drawing at all and now it's some 6 years later

Do you want to customize and expand your desktop buddy experience further? here are some handy links to miscellaneous plug-ins I’ve gathered from around the web, or you can even program your own, and they can also be written in any programming language so the possibilities are limitless! plug-ins are essentially  extensions or add-on built for SSP. Weather Station by Zicheq (of Ukagaka Dream Team) A plugin for both users and devs, for getting weather data! As a developer, you can set your ghost up to receive weather data from this plugin, to then do what you will with! Weather based comments? Outfit changes? Something else totally unrelated? Discord Rich Presence by Ponapalt (main dev of SSP baseware) This plugin is designed for displaying the name of the primary ghost you have open on the ‘currently playing’ status on the Discord for Windows application in real-time. also compatible with displaying your currently played song in FLUX (a really awesome music player ghost by Zi).

CeVIO-Talker V2 Plug-in by Ambergon This Plug-in was initially revealed for Day 21 of the Ukagaka Advent Calendar collaborative project in 2022. using this you can have a fully voiced ghost with a realistic sounding voicebank speak to you out loud! (in English too?) it Requires ceVIO Creative Studio and SSP 2.6.45 (or newer) to work, ceVIO is a vocal synthesizer software commonly compared to Vocaloid and UTAU that works via text-to-speech method. the primary difference between Vocaloid and ceVIO is that ceVIO is built for both TTS/speech and creating vocals for songs in music production. you can download a demo of CeVIO if you would like to try it out here.

GhostSpeaker by apxxxxxxe like CeVIO-Talker, this Plug-in was initially revealed for Day 17 of the Ukagaka Advent Calendar collaborative project in 2023. it’s a successor to the Bouyomi-chan plug-in and utilizes a free (Japanese) text-to-speech software called VOICEVOX and COEIROINK so that your ghost can verbalize their balloon dialogue and speak to you. you can listen to a demo in this github link.

GhostWardrobe by apxxxxxxe allows you to dress up your ghost in different coordinates, mix and match pieces and save and load the outfit combinations from the plugin menu.

CharameL plugin   by Umeici This software allows you to enjoy watching ghosts directly interact and chat amongst each other freely on the built in instant messenger.

It says i can add poses with an account, and i do have one, but i cant figure out how to save poses. Any suggestions?

Hiiii I think you can only add favorites from the sketch app right now. The website is in a bit of flux atm because I had to stop dev for a little while (hoping to restart in April ish) If you're looking to fav stuff in the pose gallery right now I can only recommend saving images (which is fine with me) or bookmarks. 🙏🏻✨

Tears Of The Kingdom Spoilers Ahead

Nothing story related or anything, but more spoilers for a place you can go in game. I wanna talk to the devs that made this place for taking about 10 years off of my lifespan.

So, there's treasure maps that you can find in Totk. They lead to places down in the Depths where you can find cool armour in chests (Or at least armour is all I've found so far). I had found a treasure map awhile ago, can't remember where or when but all I knew is that I had put off following it for a while, so I went to the X it left on my map in hopes of finding a cool item.

I get there and climb up the wall, and I can see the chest inside of this very large Coliseum, and I'm like "Oh there's gonna be a boss fight here, like maybe a Lynel, Gleok, or maybe even a Flux Construct." I saved my game and went down, where not to my surprise, a gate opened revealing a Red Lynel covered in gloom. I take it down, not too much hassle, it was only a Red Lynel right. Wrong. To my absolute horror another gate opens, and I now have to fight a Blue Lynel.

At this point I'm like "I did not bring enough supplies for this, and there's no way it's gonna end on just a blue Lynel." Which I was right about. After I beat the Blue Lynel, a Black Lynel appears ready to cave my skull in.

I'm getting a little sweaty and my hands are shaking from all the focus so I'm getting sloppy and I'm getting hit more, further draining my rather limited supply of Gloom Healing food. Against all odds however I defeated the Black Lynel, at which point my final opponent arrives, a White Lynel.

I'm losing most of my best weapons by now, and the weapons the other Lynels are dropping are not as useful as I'd like them to be. So by the time I take this White Lynel down, I have about one meal with Gloom Heal left, a few meals that restore me to full health (Not very useful when your hearts are afflicted with Gloom) and 2 good weapons left.

I didn't think that'd matter, as the White Lynel is the strongest level of Lynel in BotW, outside of Master Mode as far as I'm aware. However some devious developer decided in TotK they where going to add enemies with Armour, which provides a smaller, yellow, healthbar on top of their normal health, which can only be depleted by hard hitting weapons, like any DIY hammers you've made, or bombs.

I do not have any bombs.

I do however have a Royal Claymore with a rock on the end, a perfect tool to break it's armour. At least it would be if it wasn't badly damaged, so it broke about halfway through its yellow healthbar.

Now I have to resort to using my god awful Royal Broadsword with a basic Stone Talus Heart on the end of it. Just barely destroying it's armour, at which point I have NO Gloom healing items left, and an entire White Lynel left to fight, which I've neglected to mention has a ROYAL CLAYMORE, WITH A MASSIVE SPIKED BALL ON THE END, ROUGHLY THE SIZE OF A GORON!

And yet despite all odds, I managed to kill it, with four hearts left to my name, out of my 21 (at least I think it's twenty one I'm bad at counting). Now what do I get as my reward for this gauntlet, this horrific trial constructed by a sadistic madman?

Well apparently, Majora's Mask. Which sounds nice but it only gives 1 defense so I'm not too sure of the use here. The description says it makes monsters have a harder time noticing you? So that's cool, maybe not worth my entire supply of weapons and healing items, but it's nice.

Sorry for the long post, I just had to get this out of my system some where. Just be warned if you're ever going around the Depths, the place is called the Floating Coliseum, if you want to avoid it. It's surprisingly close to the center of the map.

pokemon unbound is a REALLY good romhack of firered that looks and feels like a ds game in a way! ive played it twice now its so well made also Uranium is a good fangame, and the devs are making another game that only has one part out but so far is SO GOOD called Pokemon Flux!

theres also a pokemon mystery dungeon fangame thats a big multiplayer mmo that ive been playing a bunch called pokemon mystery universe! although this one takes a while to get used to and is VERY different from the others. the combat and genreal dungeoning is in real time and a lot faster paced

mystery universe is indeed one i’ve tried and is one i was thinking about when i said i hadn’t played any fangames—it was my technicality for “maybe i have” but i didn’t consider it just because i really didn’t enjoy it that much. it felt very different from the reason i came to love pmd and didn’t really end up being my style—plus, it only has a native build for windows, and i wouldn’t touch windows with a thirty-nine-and-a-half-foot pole. of course, i could probably run it in a virtual machine or with a translation layer. i cant imagine it’s that intensive, but given i’ve already tried it before and it felt rather unpolished and too different from what i was expecting, i just don’t feel it’s worth it to me. i guess an mmo with a bunch of randos online wasn’t what i expected either

Originally a D&D-inspired OC, now just a general OC

Lich that was so so shit at magic when he was alive but now that he's dead he's actually sort of decent at it

Worldhopper - he travels between universes, using a jury-rigged super powerful explosion spell to catapult himself into a different universe by destroying the one he's currently in.

He only cares about one person, and that's his demonic boyfriend Alu. Anyone else can get fucked, as far as he's concerned.

Technically a general OC, but mostly used for minecraft.

he was born on a minecraft skygrid world all alone

Body is comprised almost entirely of solid magic. He can shapeshift, but only really uses that to change if he has legs or not.

Never got taught how to control his magic, so he has to use an enchanted mask to hold his power in - this has the side effect of compressing his magical body mass enough that he has to forgo the wings while it's on to avoid spreading himself too thin.

Can eat a lot of things normal people can't eat. Like diamonds. And swords.

Her species infects the brain of other species, appearing as a sort of ghost or hallucination until they mature enough to become physical, bursting out of the host's body and killing them in the process. They usally give their host immense bloodlust and taste for raw meat. [mmm flux hungy feed her tasty prion diseases]

On that note, the most lame and cringefail of her entire species. She's supposed to get her host to kill and stuff like that, but she mostly just annoys and makes fun of him.

General OC, worldhopper.

Shapeshifts whenever it goes into a new world to match the appearance of the creator-inserts or gods of that universe. [e.g. would look like the annoying dog in Undertale/Deltarune, would look similar to the Dev Gnomes in everhood, etc.]

It chooses a different name for itself in every universe it goes into. [It's called Showtime in my JJK AU that has it, and Usurper when I put it into a Digimon world, for example]

Any world it enters immediately splits off into a different timeline with its arrival, and that timeline dies/disappears as soon as it loses interest and leaves.

It's fiction-aware, and totally chill with that - mostly because, considering it's my sona and thus an extension of me, it's pretty much in control of the narrative. If it were to ever lose that control, it would likely become incredibly paranoid and anxious.

Almost never wears a shirt under his open suit jacket, unless he's pretty much forced to.

Kind of an alcoholic. Tries to pretend he's a fun partyboy, but he just gets all miserable.

Very into modifying robots. He claims he improves them, but he's fucked up a perfectly good Cupid unit is what he's done. Look at it, it's got anxiety.

Electra the Moth

Sonic OC, builds and codes robots for a living.

She has built a robot that she considers her son, so she could technically be a MILF, if you're into that.

Mega autism and hyperfixated on engineering. Would love to infodump about whatever her current project may be, and gets super attached to everything she builds.

Warden

General OC. He's the god of space-time and oversees a large collection of worlds and thus deals with worldhoppers semi frequently, despite not being one himself as he only really exists in the space between worlds.

Has gay thoughts re: one of his coworkers/fellow gods. But he'd never admit it

The Alchemist

Basically what would've happened if Ruti grew up with other magic users who could've taught him how to use his magic.

It speaks primarily Standard Galactic.

Never calls people by their names, instead using a title/other noun ["shopkeeper" or "friend" or "thief", etc.] because names have immense power in a language as soaked with magic as Standard Galactic is, and that habit carries over into other languages.

Makes potions. Definitely legally.

His mascot [the little demon dude shown next to him] shows up on the screen of any technology he hacks. Just to be cocky about it.

Generally very cocky and aggressive while fighting/sparring, or just in general.

playing desolation, and by the time I post this I will have Caught up to Desolation! This is my own opinion and review on the game! For the record I've only played Rejuv and now Desolation of the entire series. In terms of pokemon fangames i have played ep 1 of Flux , Gaia, and Unbound. Disclaimer and TLDR: the game is Very good as I expected I had fun :] . The devs worked their ass off and the fact this game is free and has this much shown effort is so awesome. when ep 7 comes out i Will be reviewing once again. It wont be for more than a year though given the recent dev update. either way!

Pros:

I love the spritework sort of thing for the dialogue, when important characters come on. It's very pretty!

the credits system is gen p interesting. motivator for getting exclusive pokemon and items and even the capsules + mints, which imo is much better than the AP system that was in rejuv. its more easier to achieve and more incentive.

also HELL YEAH sidequests! I loved the tidbits of main lore u get from certain ones, and certain choices. Inch resting!

The difficulty still makes me work Hard to think but doesn't kill me with a bajillion reset and planning so that's all fair and good 👍 the only one I had to rlly drive home for was Jarred. Jesus fucking Christ. i had valerie flashbacks from rejuv but its worse cause it was a DOUBLE BATTLE.

the SPARKLES. lifesaver for me who loves the shiny sprite reworks in this game. i have a beautiful shiny greninja, umbreon, hydreigon, and vikavolt. Vikavolt is my favorite shiny i love whoever reworked that. Jade is so so pretty :]

the music is KILLER. Vs Shiv and Vs Nova is Good. Very Good. honestly the ost choices here rock. one of the best ost selections i enjoyed it very much.

interesting story! I can sort of peel bits of it off and it'll probably come back later to haunt me. Act 3 REALLY ramps up stuff so it did sweep a good amount of confusion I’ve had since the beginning. Act 3 was great. I miss Tristan. Nova's character is Great when it reaches a certain plot point.

I love the rangers bases, and the sidequest lore does build up nicely on the side. its starting to interfere with the main story too which hmmmmmmm hm hm hm. i will wonder about that.

Criticisms/ personal nitpicks:

i mentioned this above but i wish the ui for sidequests was a bit more clear. Like location wise, where to go, and all that. Icons above characters would rlly help me distinguish things.also PLEASE add flashing settings and shaking sets automatically to the options board pls pls pls.

I hope there will be more featured fields in the future. I did mention this was the more lax difficulty ive been through involving fields, and i watched playthroughs of reborn and played rejuv myself. (idk if theres more games with the field system but do let me know its literally one of my fav things). Like it went from oh God to oh ok to hmm to Oh God like a cycle. Though I think that’s just on my team balancing rlly

Please..... more TM versatility. While it does allow me to get creative with my team choices, it also limits what I can actually do. My TM pool is so low and i want to get creative so bad :']]]. The TM shop at Sunshell was a huge improvement though. very stingy though at lvl 65-70s though.

i Do Not like the maps for specifically silver forest and blackview. Its either very cluttering and makes me walk in Direct Circles, or leaves me very lost when im searching for a specific area. I do get the "open area" aspect of Silver mountain though, and it was easier once I got all the bridges down but still yk? but i literally couldn't find the move relearner Anywhere in blackview. it took me forever.

I wish i had more time to spend with some of the characters (Scarlett particularly) so i could rlly grow attached. I do understand that these are mostly main plot points blasting off from each other, but i just wish I could have had more interactions with the characters? More funny dialogue, more MC options to talk and affect relationship values, yk? I do anticipate an arc for a particular someone coming up though. so we'll see. the plot did do a rlly good job at the ceilia leaders though I adore All of them.

some of the language i winced at. idk if its just me so ill leave this one in the air. i dont know how to feel because im muddled.

In a way, because the plot blasts off one another, the room for me to acknowledge the changes in characters or their relationship between each other was a bit small. Like Connor and Scarlett, I think I only got like two cutscenes or tidbits of their entire growing friendship, so it didn't rlly hit me when The Scene Happened. Either way I do like themboth thumbs up.

SPOILERS THOUGHTS DO NOT READ IF U HAVENT PLAYED OR DO NOT WANT TO KNOW:

I ADORE Cecilia’s leaders. I’ve seen complaints how we seem to be Stuck There for some time and. Yeah I can sorta agree with that. Despite being Rlly Huge it also makes me Yearn for the Routes yk? either I love them all I Adore them dearly. Garrett is my favorite he got to me. Reeve and Rosetta and Aaron are all so very charming in their dynamics and gym leader squabbles.

Waldenhall is a Great Character in his introduction holy shit what an impact this guy had. also artem's sprite made me laugh so hard because their (idk their gender) portrait is just staring straight at the camera whats up w that.

Conclusion:

Should you play this game? YES. its quality is amazing, the artwork is insane, the gameplay is so good for pokemon fans who enjoy a good challenge, and want to get into some existential crises. In general, this series is So Far the easiest in the reborn deso rejuv trio. but it doesn't by far make it bad, or a cakewalk for players. Have a good ol time with it. My criticisms are my own nitpicks, but i rlly admire how much effort devs put into their fangames, by semblance of story, custom art, custom maps, etc. appreciate them lots and lots more. This game in particular weighs your choices a lot more, so you rlly have to snoop around for a particular result that you want. all in all lots of good fun!
