MY HOUSE

Family gameboard night, sponsored by Evil. That’s the hook around this entertaining and well-made short film. Stumbling onto an old game that causes misery to the users, isn’t entirely new, as most recently we saw a videogame version with Netflix’s CHOOSE OR DIE. Alexander Edep’s MY HOUSE is one bit horror, one bit Black Mirror episode, but while the premise is interesting, what really sells this film is the acting from the entire cast. They elevate the material from short film to something feeling like a prologue of an indie horror feature.
