Neuvillette now canonically being the one giving out Hydro visions (referred to as "parts of him") and having full control over Pneumousia while Furina's newly acquired vision has dragon teeth-like clamps over the Vision gem and is the only Pneumousia vision and likely the first Vision Neuvillette ever granted since getting his dragon's authority back

thinking about how in the aftermath, neuvillette and furina both returned home and they talked. he told her everything focalors had told him, and she just said “i’m tired” and in the morning she was packed and gone. and he tells the traveler, he will still take care of her, and she will have a home and food and protection and she shall want for nothing. and travel, to leave fontaine, to go where he can’t follow, if she wishes it. and her voice line about him says “i haven’t been to the palais in a while, that’s good for both of us, right?” and his voice line about her says “i would like to see her again to give her my earnest praise… yes, i should definitely like to see her again.” and in her story quest he sounds so fond of her, proud that she’s branching out and reconnecting with her interests, and if the traveler speaks to him after he says he was always enthralled by her, and that he hopes she knows it was sincere. all the ways she’s saying none of it was real, you must hate me. and all the ways he’s saying it was real for me, i loved you. i still love you.

Fun fact: The scenes during Furina's inner world's play directly correlate to a day. The last scene, 182376, when divided by 365, is 499.66. It has been established Furina has been alive for about 500 years.

Furina has been alive for 499 years and nearly 8 months. She has been forced to play the role of the Hydro Archon for all but one of those days.

This also suggests the Hydro Archon's trial takes place sometime in June, given Furina's birthday is 10/13. Take that what you will.

I know they probably won’t meet in the game but hear me out

(spoilers for 4.2, furina’s story quest and faruzan’s hangout)

Two young (old) women who were trapped for centuries doing one specific task relentlessly and now, having been freed from that task, are having to adjust to normal human life even though things are different. They both used to hold lofty positions and now they’ve lost some of their celebrity status and fallen out of step with society to a certain extent, there’s a degree of separation there that wasn’t there before.

Furina spent 500 years performing a role in accordance to what her people wanted to see, I kinda like the idea of her being with someone who isn’t involved with the world of theater at all. Faruzan is so bluntly, unapologetically true to herself even though her academic studies and interests have fallen out of fashion and I think Furina would admire that about her.

And I think Furina could broach that century-wide disconnect Faruzan tends to have with most of the people around her. There is such a specific kind of loneliness and silent endurance that these two carry with them and it’s sometimes addressed but never fully unpacked in the game. I feel like it would be kinda sweet if they were able to slowly heal together.

They have such big personalities, I think their dynamic could be silly, especially at first.

Maybe Faruzan makes some easier puzzles for Furina to solve and Furina teaches her how to dance. Maybe they move in together and infodump about opera and mechanisms over simple, homecooked meals. Maybe they grow old together and the process of physically aging is a relief and a comfort to both of them.

I know this is such an obscure pull but I feel like they match each other in interesting ways and could maybe be cute together, thank you for reading!

Spoilers for Genshin 4.2.

I’ve been thinking about what Furina went through all these years and how broken she was. And weirdly enough all I can think of after everything was, “…so did any of the people who forced her into court actually apologize to her at all? Or was it all just brushed under the rug and forgotten?”

Yeah I know it was necessary to ensure the prophecy played out the way it did, but also they tore down all the work she’d done for centuries. And it feels like no one apologized to her after learning this.

The Traveler most of all. Especially with how they kinda treated her during both the inner world stuff and her character quest, feel like they owed her at least one sorry. Instead of ragging on her as much as they did. Part of me kinda wishes Furina grew to dislike the Traveler and Paimon afterwards.

Just rambling some random thoughts.
