whatever you do, don't think about how lana saw herself in edgeworth, ok? don't think about how she wanted to distance herself from him the moment they met because he could possibly see through the sl-9 plan and ruin everything, but she couldn't because he was kind, if not a little awkward, to her terrified sister in a case where everyone else's only concern was securing a conviction. don't think about how she brought ema to the prosecutor's office (because she damn well wasn't going to let her sister face this alone) with her hackles raised and her defences bolstered because she'd heard about the "demon prosecutor" and his ways just to realise he's nothing but a young man, trying his best to survive under the weight of his mentor's shadow and ensure justice is served by whatever means he can. don't think about how she felt later, when she was under gant's thumb and knew for a fact that all those rumours surrounding von karma's perfect record were, in fact, true and that he was using edgeworth's faith in him to fulfill his own goals. don't think about how she felt when she had to begin doing the same. or what must have gone through her head when she entered her office one morning to find a case approval form waiting for her on her desk: the state v. miles edgeworth. don't think about how she knew, once she saw the name of the prosecutor assigned to his case, that she was signing his death warrant. don't imagine what she rehearsed saying to his sister or her realisation, after his miraculous survival, why he had been so understanding of her own. don't wonder, as she did, ineffectually, if it was his competence or her fondness for him that led to his car and knife being chosen to cover goodman's murder — a second attempt at his permanent removal — and whether it was affection or guilt that made her stand by the corpse, waiting readily to be caught in his stead. don't think about how she finds out, eventually, that he is gone, in a jail cell so far from remorse, gratitude and closure that she can only sit and turn in her head distorted thoughts about luck and fortuitous third chances. don't.

Had a dream where the ducklings like arrested duolingo for taxing their water unlawfully and they asked house how should they pin and pose him permanently on the sky for his crimes: wings or morph him in a straight line, and house is like “wings.” and chase said “we can’t there’s no more space dad” and house is “wings.”

"No, a joke would be if I called you a homo"
...sir, please 💀. This girl just found out she has different chromosomes than she thought. It sure shut the father up though. He deserved an existential crisis after what he did to his child...

Do you think Vanessa’s backstory about her dad in the therapy recordings are true or made up and if so what do you make of them.
Hmmmm honestly ? Yeah there’s probably some truth to them >> specially after the FNAF movie :’> she definitely had an awful childhood in the games too I think

Okay, but, like, in the ball pit au, if Michael managed to get any pictures of Gregory taken before saving Evan, then when photoshop starts getting good I can imagine him (and probably Elizabeth) starting to digitally insert those images into old photographs to mess with Evan even further in their attempts to convince everyone that Gregory was there the whole time/was a timetraveller/both. ...And also using Gregory to replace William in all their old family photos.
dnd gshshs the torment for Evan continues. gotta love family shenanigans transcending time and space.
Also, something tells me you’re going to like a certain wip sketch that’s been in my drafts for two weeks now

Hello! I wanted to ask you, when the wizards are freed from Omega by Neruman in the comics, what do you think their relationship was? Because it never really felt to me that the wizards were serving Neruman willingly. Not sure if I’m quite thinking they were his prisoners, but it didn’t feel like they would serve him by choice. (You’ve talked about comic-exclusive characters in your posts before, so I’m guessing you know about the comic plots. If you don’t, since the comics aren’t widespread, then never mind.)
(Quick extra bit: any theories on where the wizards lived while serving Neruman? Because I could never tell if they lived in his Dark Dimension Castle thing, or if they just hid out in Gardenia again.) Thank you!
Ngl of all the characters with relevance to the remaining 75% of the Black Circle comic wise, Neruman has definitely done the least for me? Which might be a little ironic because he's like the whole reason the wizards were even freed to EXIST in the comics?? Idk he just doesn't get my creative juices flowing like Yllidith and Gregory do y'know- Despite having more relevance than both of them. I really am just attracted to cardboard huh. Hm.
But aside from that!! Yeah no, I don't think the word 'willingly' is even allowed in the building rn.
Tbh the wizards really just dealt with hit after hit, loss after loss. They went from nearly done with a centuries lasting job, to losing one of their own and being locked up, just to be freed and forced to work under him to repay a debt that really won't be until some guy says so, who abandons them anyway later on and lets them get locked away elsewhere. Had the wizards been in even a little bit of a better state, emotionally and magically, at any point during this, I don't think working under him would've gone on for as long as it did, if even at all.
Also if we assume that they haven't worked under anyone since Yllidith, and doing so wasn't the best experience (I am assuming both of those things), than this might've been extra upsetting for them too. If it wasn't humiliating enough by itself. Dare I say I think all 3 of them hated this shadowy, 'Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come' ass bitch- Just not a fan of it being mostly a fear thing, I mean these men have been around for a WHILE. Like just say they're aware they're too weak to leave him rn, but don't make them SCARED and sweating on their knees tf is WRONG with you smh.
Not to do another comic rant or anything, but I will NEVER get over how the comics slandered them and everything positive they had going for them. Maybe that's why Neruman doesn't do a lot for me hskskssj he really is a big part of it all.
Wouldn't be surprised if he did yoink them to be nearby whenever they weren't actively doing something for him though, so I'd say stand-by in the castle, but "free" roaming Gardenia when in the middle of the job, like with the whole Gregory thing. Who is actually my little guy compared to Neruman.

no bc actually???? hold on. imma start this by saying im not black. im a brown indigenous puertorican and my grandfather is afrolatino
okay lets get to it. using variety to show the range of their skin tones. the first two r screencaps directly from the show and the third is from a professional photographer. when in video format ofc its gonna be more difficult to catch properly bc theyre perpetually in motion and lighting affects the way skin tone looks but in the photograph you can see a better example of their natural skin tones. the lighting is really good like the photographer clearly knows how to photograph dark skin tones
you CANNOT just color grab skin tones and call it a day thats not how this shit works. they look ashy and sad. janine doesnt even have a curl pattern that shit is wavy
ill put my money where my mouth is. heres the exact screenshot i drew over for my first time drawing workwives (im honestly not too happy with how barbara came out and wanna fix her later) vs this person. a key thing in my art is i LOVE using saturation. in my personal opinion it makes art feel more alive
my favorite rendered janine ever. there is literally nothing wrong with going darker with skin tones ESPECIALLY taking into consideration what kind of color palettes you use. there will always however be an issue when you draw them lighter
and now some tutorial links from black artists <3
how to draw curls tweet thread
tutorial on lighting darker skin + drawing black features
coloring dark skin
drawing black people in anime style
thread of several diff tutorials
