A friend of mine tagged me saying I need to make some cowboy butter the other day. Tonight I made the time to do just that. I’ve never been much of a fan of sauce on beef, but I was impressed at how good this was. The recipe I found called for 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard and I think that would make the sauce amazing for a sandwich. I can say for sure that I’ll cut that out next time and just add extra horseradish. 22.10.2023 - Herbst in Santa Fe

Nach unserer New York Reise kehrte doch wieder Normalität und vor allem Herbst ein.

Mit meiner Gastfamilie war ich Kürbisse aussuchen und Wein stampfen.

Dann gab es noch das absolute Highlight in New Mexico: Die Balloon Fiesta. Um 4.30 Uhr ging es aus dem Bett. Mit einem Kaffee in der Hand und dick angezogen, machten wir uns auf den Weg nach Albuquerque. Dort beobachteten wir hunderte Heißluftballons beim Starten und Landen. Was ein Spektakel, da hat sich das frühe aufstehen gelohnt!

Dann habe ich noch die ersten 4.000hm (Leak Peak) bestiegen. Obwohl wir schon einige Monate hier sind, habe ich immer noch mit der Höhe zu kämpfen. Das hat mich aber nicht von der Wanderung abgehalten. Wie ein Michelin-Männchen. Mit 2 Jacken und Mützen, weil es auf dem Berg doch ziemlich kalt war, ging es los. Nachdem wir die Wanderung gemeistert haben, genossen wir abends dann ein Feierabend Bier. Nach den Wanderungen hier bin ich immer sehr platt, was vermutlich auch mit der Höhe zusammenhängt, ging es dann nur noch ins Bett.

Am nächsten Tag startete mein History of Spices Kurs. Über Gewürzgeschichte habe ich zwar nicht so viel gelernt, kann jetzt aber schöne Grillmarks zaubern, ein Kaninchen zerlegen und weiß, dass 4lb Salz nicht zu viel sind, um Shrimps drauf zu garen. Der Kurs geht zwar 6h, aber das ist bis jetzt der Kurs, der mir mit Abstand am meisten Spaß bereitet, auch wenn es etwas suboptimal ist, wenn man kein Fleisch isst...

I'm assuming there's a variety of shapes and sizes bjd are made in, what made you go with the doll you used for copia?

One day around this time of year (like almost a year to the day) I got the itch to go dolly shop browsing and I saw Dream Valley Cayes at Alice's Collection website:

And I thought two things:

1. Oh wow, an MSD male with actual distinct features!! Usually MSD size (Mini Super Dollfie, 40-52cm) have more bishounen/feminine/childish features for some reason. And the male dolls have these boring, thoughtless "grillmarks" sort of abs. Dream Valley company has a gorgeously sculpted male body that poses well.

2. That's Cardi's nose! Aggh! And I fell in love with his stage costumes, so let's make him!

So I went for the sculpt instead of the size. Some people collect only one size, I collect whatever I am interested in.

Here's my biggest doll I own next to my smallest, next to Cardi (52cm, on the tall end of MSD) who is still tapping his foot and waiting for his robe to be done. (At least his feet are not cold)

Biggest doll is an SD17 (Super Dollfie 17) around 75 cm, a Meeksdoll Labella. Meeksdoll is a small creator and I love her very masculine aesthetic. Her dolls have very strong features and solid bodies. He is a WIP, as you can see by his baldness (can you tell I really dislike making wigs....)

Smallest I have is this 11-ish cm ABS plastic bunny from Hujoo (no longer around!) He was $25. And sorry he's in his skivvies I was repairing his wappenrock (15th Cent German Landsknecht male kirtle) like three years ago and I never put it back on again. I promise my dolls have clothes.

Chicken quesadillas tonight! I did a mix of breast and thighs from @smartchicken_official seasoned with @meatchurch Dia De La Fajita. They’re made with sautéed jalapeños, mushrooms, red onion, green bell, @lapreferidainc refried beans and @hyvee Mexican cheese blend. I added a bean layer to each side of the dilla. Was bomb! My sauce of choice was @cholulahotsauce sweet habanero, but it tried a new Carolina reaper sauce from @bravadospice. Omg, And was sweating from head to toe for about 10 minutes. Good stuff!
